Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla. Produced by V.Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations, the film features Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty.

The film was formally announced in March 2021, later the film's title was revealed to be Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. The music is composed by Radhan (songs) and Gopi Sundar (score), while the cinematography and the editing were handled by Nirav Shah and Kotagiri.V respectively.

It was released on 7 September 2023, and received positive reviews from critics.

Anvitha Ravali Shetty is a 30 year-old single woman working as a master chef in the United Kingdom and living with her single mother. Her mother has little time left to live as she suffers from terminal cancer. So, she keeps convincing her daughter to get married soon. Anvitha, who is adamant, doesn't believe in marriage and love due to her parents’ failed marriage and hence chooses to be single for the rest of her life. Later, her mother requests that she take her back to India, as she wants to spend her last days there. Eventually, after a few months, her mother dies, and Anvitha starts feeling lonely. As she doesn't believe in marriage, she tries to become a mother through IUI, as she feels she too needs a person during her last days. She feels that, like her mother, she doesn't need any man to love her throughout her life, and instead, her biological child can be her supporter throughout her life just like she had her mother.

With the help of her friend Kavya, they visit a fertilization center to get pregnant. Anvitha learns the norms and learns that random males are taken as donors, which concerns her. She tries to choose her sperm donor by interviewing other men. Anvitha, as clear as she is, writes down all the qualities she needs in her donor. Finally, she meets Siddhu Polishetty, a 25-year-old man doing stand-up comedy in a restaurant. She is impressed with him at first sight and tries to talk to him about her intention, but Kavya stops her, stating it might make him awkward, so she requests that she take it slow and know more about his habits and personality first. Anvitha gets convinced and gives her visiting card to him to meet her. After a few meetings, both get along pretty quickly and gradually, Siddhu catches feelings for Anvitha, not knowing her actual intention. One day, Siddhu tries to propose to her, but it backfires when Anvitha reveals the real reason why she wants him. The concept of getting pregnant without getting married stuns Siddhu, and he gets disturbed, which causes Anvitha to leave him after he calls the concept ‘cheap’. Siddhu and his friend Rahul go to a coffee shop, where he unexpectedly sees Anvitha talking to another man. This enrages him, and he intervenes between them and causes a scene. Siddhu, who is now unable to let Anvitha go and unable to accept the fact that Anvitha is going to be with another man if he doesn't help her, later decides to help Anvitha. He goes to her house, begs for forgiveness, and asks her to consider him. Siddhu mistakenly believes that Anvita will conceive via intercourse, as he doesn't know the general procedure for sperm donation. Later, Siddhu is surprised when Anvitha tells him that it is not intercourse, but IUI that they have to follow. He is surprised but agrees to the procedure, stating that he wants everything she has to be from him. He undergoes a vigorous diet and exercise regimen, which is monitored by her and the doctor.

Siddhu becomes frustrated in the process and gets drunk. This enrages Anvitha, who begs him not to do the work if he is uninterested and confesses that she doesn't have feelings. She also tells him that she doesn't believe in love or marriage because of her parents' divorce, which happened when she was 6. Siddhu realizes his mistake and resumes his diet. One day the procedure date is fixed, and according to the contract, the donor should not be involved in her personal life and shouldn't contact her after the procedure; otherwise, legal action shall be taken. This breaks Siddhu even more, and he bids farewell to Anvitha, asking her a favor. He further requests that Anvita tell her daughter or son that their father was a person who genuinely loved her instead of just some random sperm donor when they inevitably ask who their father was. Later, Anvitha gets her results positive for her pregnancy test and goes to share the news with Siddhu, but Rahul stops her by saying she shouldn't interfere in his life as and when she wants, as he is just healing from their separation since Siddhu too can't, according to the contract, and asks her to leave him.

Anvitha, heartbroken, leaves India. When she returns to the UK, she is disturbed by Siddhu's absence and decides she needs a change of place. She moves to the countryside, somewhere in the UK, and starts spending time there. Meanwhile, Siddhu successfully gives frequent stand-ups and gains popularity. His father learns of his feelings and asks him to give assurance to Anvitha that he is beside her through thick and thin, as she is scared of getting left out of a relationship.

Siddhu travels to every corner of the UK to get to know her. But, in the end, when he finally meets her at the hospital at the time of her delivery and tries to talk to her, he is stopped by the staff, who state that only her partner can enter the labor room. Anvitha recognizes his voice and replies that he is the father of the child, and this moves Siddhu. He sees his name in the medical form as the father. Finally blessed with a baby, the movie ends with Siddhu doing a stand-up where he reveals he is married to Anvitha and leaves the stage saying he needs to change his daughter's diaper.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (English: The One with Strong Arms: The Conclusion), also known by the initialism BB2, is a 2017 Indian epic historical action film directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The film was produced by Tollywood studio Arka Media Works. It is the continuation of Baahubali: The Beginning, taking place before and after the events of that film. It was originally made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam, German, French, Japanese and English.[11] The film stars major actors from Tollywood industry with Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Sathyaraj in lead roles. Si3 (also referred to as Singam 3 or S3) is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Hari. A sequel to Singam II (2013) and the third film in the Singam franchise, it stars Suriya, Shruti Haasan and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles.[3]

Principal photography commenced in January 2016 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The film was released worldwide on 9 February 2017 along with the Telugu dubbed version, Yamudu 3.

Plot
The film starts with a lot of trouble in a residual Andhra Pradesh state assembly where the long pending murder case of Vishakhapatnam City Police Commissioner Ramakrishna IPS (Jayaprakash) is being discussed where Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, K. Sathyanarayana (Sarath Babu) proposes to bring DCP Durai Singam (Suriya) from Tamil Nadu police to solve the long pending case, and also to take care of the city's law and order. Initially, being attacked by Madhusudhana Reddy's (Sharat Saxena) men at a railway station at his arrival, Durai Singam bashes them out and joins the Vishakhapatnam Police Force under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) pretending to be casual and not serious about the murder case. Then Durai Singam secretly investigates the case from all aspects. Meanwhile, Durai Singam is being followed by Vidhya (Shruti Haasan) who is a journalist from Andhra Pradesh, tracking Durai Singam in disguise as student appearing for IPS exams. Durai Singam states he has divorced his wife, Kavya Mahalingam (Anushka Shetty), but secretly contacts her. Later, after suspicion of Subba Rao (Robo Shankar), it is disclosed that Durai Singam's divorce is a ploy to protect Kavya from attacks from any suspects of the murder case. Durai Singam ended finding out that Madhusudhana Reddy is behind the murder in a series of investigations and decides to wipe out all the goons in Vishakhapatnam along with arresting police officers involved in the murder of Ramakrishna.

After tracking a suspect he comes across; a school teacher, Durai Singam comes to know of an illegal dumping of biological waste and electronic waste from Australia by Vittal Prasad (Thakur Anoop Singh) an Australian-Indian wealthy businessman, who is thought to contribute 7% of India's economy. Vittal is the son of Central Minister Ram Prasad (Suman) who works as a mastermind behind waste dumping from Australia in Vishakhapatnam by help of Madhusudhana Reddy and his staff member/assistant Rajeev Krishna (Kamalesh). When Ramakrishna tried to expose this truth to the media, he was brutally killed by Madhusudhana Reddy and his subordinates. This was witnessed by ACP Krishnaraj's driver Mallaya (Jeeva Ravi) and the school teacher (Joe Malloori) who lost his granddaughter in toxic smoke caused by burning wastes from Australia in a nearby dump yard. When Durai Singam attempts to arrest Madhusudhana Reddy and Vittal with help from both Mallaya and the school teacher and the recent discovered evidence collected. But, Madhusudhana Reddy's men kills the school teacher and Vittal warns Durai Singam that he would destroy his whole family from Australia if he further investigates the case. Durai Singam lets Madhusudhana Reddy to escape from this and visits Australia with his wife, incognito, to investigate Vittal. He visits Vittal's company and secretly hacks into Vittal 's database. He and Kavya escape from Vittal and return to India. Then suddenly, three people surrender in the court pleading guilty that they killed Ramakrishna due to sexual misconduct. This angers Ramakrishna's family and the media.

Durai Singam is fired from the CBI and leaves the CBI office in Vishakhapatnam, where he is met by the Home Minister of AP K.Satyanarayana. He tells the Home Minister that he is getting himself from Tamil Nadu Police and requests to be inducted into AP Police, to which the Home Minister agrees. He is then appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Vishakhapatnam City. He then investigates Vittal more seriously, makes him come to Vishakhapatnam, and kills Madhusudhana Reddy, clearing Ramakrishna's name. He finally gets an arrest warrant on Vittal. Vittal tries to escapes to a neighbouring state in India, Telangana, with Ram's help and gets into a plane bound to Malaysia, though his Australian passport has been suspended. But still, Durai Singam arrests him, by blocking the plane in a runway using a car. Vittal is locked up in chains in a police van bound to Andhra Pradesh, when Vittal tells Durai Singam that he'll escape the clutches of the law within two hours legally, and he will destroy Durai Singam's hometown, Nallur within the next thirty-six hours, sitting back from Australia. Durai Singam explains that, according to his plan, the police van will have a sudden brake failiure and will capsize into the 40-foot deep river on the way, killing Vittal. Vittal breaks his chains and escapes into the Talakona forest, which is video taped by Durai Singam. He then fights with Vittal and finally kills him. He then returns to being the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Thoothukudi, having finshed his mission in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Six months later, while having a walk with Kavya, who is pregnant, Durai Singam is called into another assignment by the Home Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ramanathan.

Plot
Soundarya a.k.a. Sweety (Anushka Shetty) is an overweight woman who is brave and independent. She is slightly conscious about her weight but does not let it affect her. She falls in love with Abhishek (Arya) who was once a prospective groom for her and now a friend. She later finds out that he is in love with Simran (Sonal Chauhan). Sweety is devastated and joins a weight loss clinic, size zero, as she thinks her weight is the issue. One of her friends, Jyothi (Pavani Gangireddy), who is in the clinic with her, develops kidney problems because of the weight loss drugs given in the clinic. Sweety begins a crusade against the clinic. She is joined by Abhi and Simran. Abhi slowly starts to fall for Sweety. The rest of the movie is how Sweety triumphs in her crusade and gets her Prince Charming back.

Rudhramadevi is a 2015 Indian Telugu 3D epic historical fiction film based on the life of Rudrama Devi, one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. The film written and directed by Gunasekhar features Anushka Shetty as Rudrama Devi, alongside an ensemble cast of Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Suman, Nithya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa. The film is narrated by Chiranjeevi.[5] The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
Rudhramadevi was released worldwide on 9 October 2015, with dubbed versions in Hindi and Malayalam languages. The Tamil dubbed version was released by Sri Thenandal Films on 16 October. Upon release, the film received positive reviews, with critics praising the direction, narrative style, background score, and Anushka's performance. The film became the fifth highest opening day grossing Indian film of 2015. It grossed ₹32 crores worldwide in the opening weekend.

Plot
Ganapatideva was the emperor of the Kakatiya dynasty who rules Kakatiya Empire from Orugallu(present day Warangal, Telangana) as it's Capital. Rudrama was formally designated as a son and given the male name Rudradeva, through the ancient Putrika ceremony. Rudrama Devi begins to rule the kingdom jointly with her father as his co-regent from 1259–60 under the name of Rudradeva Maharaja.
In the first two or three years of their joint rule, the kingdom was thrown into confusion and disorder due to Jatavarman Sundara Pandyan I's invasion and the disastrous defeat of the Kakatiyas and their allies on the battle field of Muttukur, near Nellore. Though Ganapatideva was ultimately successful in turning back the tide of invasion, he suffered loss of territory and prestige and his hold over his feudatories and nobles was shaken. Under these circumstances, he retired from active politics. Rudramadevi gets married to Veerabhadra, a Vengi Chalukya (a branch of the Chalukyas of Badami) prince of Nidadavolu.

The soundtrack and background score were composed by M. M. Keeravani while the cinematography, editing, art direction and visual effects supervision were done by K. K. The film, which was made on a budget of ₹ 120 crore (1.2 billion), released worldwide on 10 July 2015 to positive reviews from critics, became the highest grossing Indian film within India,[8] and became the third highest grossing Indian film globally. It became the first South Indian film to gross over ₹ 650 crore (6.5 billion) worldwide and the first non-Hindi film to gross over ₹ 100 crore (1 billion) in the dubbed Hindi version. It is also the highest grossing Telugu film of all time. Also, it is the highest grossing South Indian film at the global box office.
An international version of the film edited by Vincent Tabaillon was screened at various film festivals. The Telugu version garnered the Best Feature Film-Golden Lotus Award, and the Best Special Effects at the 63rd National Film Awards

Plot
In the ancient Kingdom of Mahishmati in India, Sivagami, the queen (Ramya Krishnan), emerges from a cave adjoining a big waterfall, carrying a baby. She kills the soldiers pursuing her and sacrifices herself to save the baby. Local tribal communities save the baby and tribal queen adopts him. She also gives him name 'Shiva'.
Shiva (Prabhas) grows up to be a strong young man aspiring to hike the mountain and makes many unsuccessful attempts at it. He then finds a mask of a girl which falls from the waterfall. Driven to find out the identity of the girl, he climbs the mountain again and succeeds this time.
On top of the waterfall, Shiva discovers that the mask belongs to Avanthika (Tamannaah), a rebellious warrior whose group has indulged in a guerilla warfare against king Bhallala Deva / Pallvalathevan (Rana Daggubati) of the Mahishmati Kingdom. The group intends to rescue their former queen Devasena (Anushka Shetty) who has been chained in the kingdom for the past 25 years. Avanthika is given the opportunity to rescue the queen.
Avanthika falls in love with Shiva after she finds out that he has climbed the waterfall for her. Shiva pledges to help her in her mission and sneaks into Mahishmati to rescue Devasena. Shiva rescues her and flees along with her but is chased down by the king's Royal slave Kattappa (Sathyaraj), known for his great warrior abilities. After Shiva beheads Bhadra (Adivi Sesh), Bhallala Deva's son, Kattappa drops his weapons on realising that Shiva is Mahendra Baahubali, the son of late king Amarendra Baahubali.
A flashback reveals Amarendra Bahubali's past. Amarendra's mother died while giving him birth, while his father had died much before that. Sivagami takes charge of running the kingdom with Kattapa's assistance until a new king is elected. Amarendra Bahubali and Bhallala Deva are brought up together, trained in all areas including arts, science, disguise, politics and warfare, but both of them have different approaches towards kingship. Amarendra Baahubali is liberal to everyone but Bhallala Deva is violent and achieves his goals with any means possible, even trying to kill Baahubali.
When the Kalakeyas start a war with the Mahishmati, Sivagami promises that the new king will be the one who beheads the Kalakeya king. When it seems that Mahishmati would end up being defeated, Amarendra inspires his soldiers to fight to the death and they end up crushing the enemy. Despite Bhallala Deva being the one to kill the Kalakeya king, Sivagami announces Amarendra Baahubali as the new emperor because of his nobility and leadership in the war.
After the flashback, when asked about Amarendra's current whereabouts, a tearful Katappa reveals that the King is dead, and that Katappa himself is the one responsible for his death.

Yennai Arindhaal (English: If You Know Me) is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language crime-drama film co-written and directed by Gautham Menon, and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty, Arun Vijay, Parvathy Nair and Vivek. The soundtrack album and background score for the film was composed by Harris Jayaraj. The film was edited by Anthony while Dan Macarthur handled the cinematography. Yennai Arindhaal's story follows the journey of man named Sathyadev, from the age of 13 till the age of 38.[4] It is also the final film of Menon's police trilogy of films that began with Kaakha Kaakha (2003) and continued with Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006). The film was released on 5 February 2015.
Plot
Thenmozhi (Anushka Shetty) arrives in Boston to meet her niece. While leaving for Chennai, in the airport, she gets a free upgrade and sits next to Sathyadev (Ajith Kumar). During the flight, she starts vomiting due to overeating and with Sathyadev's help she feels better, so she devolops a crush on him. The next day in Chennai, Sathyadev and Thenmozhi are at a cafe, when a criminal named Victor (Arun Vijay) comes to abduct Thenmozhi, but fails due to Sathyadev subduing him.
Then the film goes back to Chennai 1989 (then known as Madras) where Sathyadev's father (Nassar) is killed by a criminal. From there Sathyadev makes a decision and a few years later he is seen in a jail with Victor. With both of their help they escape from jail, get Victor married to Elizabeth alias Lisa (Parvathy Nair), and meet Matthew (Stunt Silva), a criminal. There Sathyadev infiltrates the gang as an IPS officer, kills Matthew and injures Victor. Then in an attempt to stop a gangster he meets Hemanika (Trisha Krishnan) who needs to get to a hospital due to her being pregnant. Two years later, he meets Hemanika and her child Isha (Baby Anikha). After seeing each other for four years they decide to get married with Isha's approval. On the day of their marriage, Hemanika is killed; both Sathyadev and Isha are heartbroken. Years later Sathyadev decides to quit and travels with Isha around India along with his colleague Richard's (Vivek) help. After he returns, his neighbour's children have gone missing and he discovers Victor is now helping his boss, Muruganandham (Suman), stealing organs illegally with foreign doctors to help him. Sathyadev is able to find both the children, and is also able to find their next target, Thenmozhi. Then it goes back to the present where Sathyadev keeps Thenmozhi in their house with Isha.

In an attempt to get Thenmozhi, Victor and his team kidnap Isha and is held captive along with Lisa who is also helping out. Victor said he will give Isha if they give Thenmozhi, which Sathyadev accepts. Then when they arrive at the location, they find Muruganandham and kill him. Then he finds where Thenmozhi is and saves her and Isha despite killing Lisa.
A few days later, Victor sneaks into Sathyadev's house and reveals himself as Hemanika's killer. The duo engage in a fight which ends with Sathyadev victorious; he drags a wounded Victor outside and leaves his colleagues to kill him.
Atlast Isha and Thenmozhi plan out the birthday of Isha. Thenmozhi promises to be there throughout the day. Before Sathyadev takes Isha home, he reminds Thenmozhi of the pending coffee that Thenmozhi wanted to have with Sathyadev, indicating that he is ready to move on life with Thenmozhi.

Lingaa is a 2014 Indian Tamil action film written and directed by K.S. Ravikumar. The film was produced by Rockline Venkatesh under Rockline Entertainment. The film's script was written by Pon Kumaran. The film stars Rajinikanth, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles while Santhanam, Jagapati Babu and Karunakaran essay supporting roles. The soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman. The cinematography and editing was handled by R. Rathnavelu and Samjith Mhd respectively. The film revolves around Lingaa, a thief who enters a village called Solaiyur to save the dam and temple built by his grandfather. Principal photography commenced during the last week of May 2014 in Mysore. The majority of the filming took place in Ramoji Film City. The climax portions were filmed in Shimoga. The film was released on 12 December 2014, coinciding with Rajinikanth's birthday. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu and Hindi with same name. Though an above average grosser at the box office, the film failed to recover its high distribution cost.

Plot
A dam in the village of Solaiyur, which is the lifeline of that village is under assessment for structural integrity by the Public Works Department. The dam inspector (Ponvannan) assesses that the dam is still strong 75 years after it was built. Later that evening, he is hacked to death by the corrupt local MP Nagabhushan (Jagapathi Babu), who wants the dam destroyed for his own benefit. The dying dam inspector throws a pen drive containing details about the proposed plan to destroy the dam into an abandoned Shiva temple near the dam and warns the village head Karunakara (K. Viswanath) that the temple has to be opened as soon as possible, after which he passes away. Karunakara and the villagers are of the opinion that the temple can only be opened by the descendant of Raja Lingeswaran (Rajnikanth ), who built the dam as well as the Shiva temple. Lakshmi (Anushka Shetty), the granddaughter of Karunakara and a television journalist, goes on a search to find the Raja's descendant. She soon manages to find the descendant, whose name is Lingeswaran aka Lingaa (Rajnikanth). Lingaa is the grandson of Raja Lingeswaran, but is a petty thief with his family having now fallen on hard times. He holds a grudge against his grandfather, feeling that he had brought down his family into poverty by squandering all his wealth and hence refuses to go with Lakshmi to Solaiyur. However, Lakshmi implicates Lingaa in a robbery, as a result of which the police pursue Lingaa. Lingaa is forced to accept Lakshmi's invitation to avoid getting caught and travels with her to Solaiyur.
At Solaiyur, Lingaa finds out that the Lingam installed at the Shiva temple is made of Maragatham stone (Emerald), which is extremely valuable, so at midnight, he enters the Shiva temple with the intention to steal the Lingam. But he is noticed by one of the dam's security guards named Riazuddin Rony from Noakhali, who immediately alerts all the villagers including Lakshmi, Karunakara and Nagabhushan, to the temple courtyard. Aware of the villagers' presence, Lingaa pretends to perform pooja to the Lingam. This fools the villagers, who find it auspicious that the grandson of Raja Lingeswaran is performing pooja to the Shiva Lingam installed at the temple built by the Raja at on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri. Karunakara then tells everyone present, including Lingaa, the story of Raja Lingeswaran.

Raja Lingeswaran, the very rich ruler of the erstwhile princely state of Kodiyur, best Civil engineer from Cambridge and a civil services officer.He becomes the collector of madurai district, and arrives at solayur village. There the people tell him that they have no water for 9 months per year, and the Other 3 months they have heavy rainfall and floods. They are unable to store water and the resulting famines cause hundreds of deaths every year. Though the collector applies to construct a dam, his plan is rejected in the annual collectors meeting and he is forced to approve a new railroad from tuticorin to Kochi through Madurai for goods. He refuses to do so and is blackmailed that he will be fired. He immediately resigns his job and exits.
He invites the provincial governor to his birthday dinner and cunningly gets approval from him, on condition that the dam will be built busing his own finance. Though he faces multiple difficulties, the dam is nearly constructed, except for the shaft doors. The doors are being held in custody by the new collector as stolen goods and the floods are soon to occur. The new collector proposes that the king gives him all his property as bribe and all credit of constructing the dam goes to him and British government. the king with whole heart does so. The dam is fully constructed in 1939 at Solaiyur to solve the water problems of that village. the British lied to the villagers that the Raja was a British spy who would hand over the dam and all the villagers' lands to the British once the dam was completed. The irate villagers threw the Raja out of Solaiyur. Later, the villagers realised the Raja's true intentions and after a search found him and his wife Bharathi (Sonakshi Sinha) living in poverty. After unsuccessfully trying to convince the Raja to return to Solaiyur, the villagers decided to keep the Shiva temple which was built along with the dam closed until the Raja or his descendants returned to the village. Lingaa, on hearing the Raja's story, changes his opinion about his grandfather and decides to mend his ways.
Later, Lingaa and Lakshmi, through the pen drive hidden at the Shiva temple, find out about Nagabhushan's evil plans to destroy the dam. They manage to expose him in front of all the villagers in the climax. The movie ends with Lingaa and Lakshmi, who are now in love with each other, leaving Solaiyur, with Lingaa deciding to return once he has done something good in life like his grandfather.

Irandaam Ulagam (English: Second World) is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language romantic fantasy film written and directed by Selvaraghavan. Starring Arya and Anushka Shetty, the film features soundtrack composed by Harris Jayaraj, background score by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography handled by Ramji. After several months of production, the film was released worldwide on 22 November 2013.[citation needed] The film was dubbed in Telugu and released as Varna. Plot Irandam Ulagam is about two stories which unfold concurrently in two different planets – our Earth and an unnamed exoplanet.[2] On earth a timid medical student Ramya (Anushka Shetty) who has a crush on an academic mathematician Madhu Balakrishnan (Arya), asks him out. He initially refuses her proposal for marriage as his father is an invalid needing his full attention and care. Later, Madhu gradually reciprocates Ramya's love seeing her caring nature and proposes marriage.

But, she reluctantly rejects his proposal as her family has already arranged her marriage. While on a trip to Goa, Madhu wins Ramya's heart while her fiance abruptly cancels the marriage citing dowry as the reason. She suddenly dies in a freak accident and this is followed by Madhu's paralysed father's death too. Depressed by the sudden twin tragedies, Madhu becomes a vagabond in Goa. He sees an apparition of his dead father that tells him death is an illusion. Later, at a local tourist spot, he follows an empty car to a hilltop and tries to commit suicide. He gets injured and faints while trying to drive the car. The story moves parallel in the alternate world in a relatively primitive kingdom which protects the immortal Amma. The son of a noble military commander, Maravan (Arya), falls in love with a working class orphan Varna (Anushka Shetty). Maravan, though fearless, does not take interest in martial arts and roams around the kingdom drinking with his friends. Varna, on the other hand, is interested in a military career though she picks and packs wild mushrooms to eke out a living. She also has the desire to protect Amma from the enemies of the kingdom.

While gatecrashing a military admissions exam for Amma's protection, the tyrant king condemns Varna to his harem. Maravan pleads with the king to release Varna and the king in return challenges Maravan to get hold of a lion's skin within three days. Maravan, though inexperienced, fights with the lion that has never been conquered until then and gets Varna released. At the behest of the king, Varna is forced to marry Maravan, which goes against her free will. So, she tries to commit suicide after assaulting the king. But Amma saves her and the riled king exiles her to the forest. Depressed Maravan tries to commit suicide in vain. Taunted by new military recruits, Maravan climbs a sacred mountain called Swamimalai. Meanwhile, with the special powers of Amma, an inter-planetary portal opens briefly between Maravan in Swamimalai and Madhu in Goa. Maravan rescues the fainted Madhu from the car and takes him to Amma for treatment. People of the kingdom celebrate Madhu mistake him for an angel. Enemies lay siege to the kingdom and try to kidnap Amma but intoxicated Maravan fights them off with the help of Varna, who returns from the forest.

When Madhu looks at Varna (who looks like Ramya), flowers begin to bloom in the kingdom for the first time. But the timid people force Varna back into the forests. Later Maravan's bravery is rewarded by his father and king who admits him into military service. Maravan, with new-found confidence, goes into the forest to meet Varna with food and blankets. But she rejects him again. Madhu too goes into the forest to meet Varna. This time, Varna accepts his friendship. Marvan gets jealous of Madhu. A stormy night forces Varna to eventually return to the kingdom from the forest.

The enemies of the kingdom capture Amma while the irate king sends Maravan for execution for illegally housing Varna. Maravan is captured by the enemy troops while abducting Amma. Madhu and Varna set out through forest to find Maravan and Amma. Varna eventually realises that she had fallen in love with her husband Maravan after hearing about Ramya. Maravan bravely wipes out the entire army of the enemy and escapes with Amma on a boat. But Madhu is drowned in combat. Amma stops Varna and Maravan from saving him. Then an inter-planetary portal opens briefly again and Madhu lands in another unnamed exoplanet where he finally meets his soulmate Ramya look-alike again. He earnestly asks her if she is single. Finally he realises that it is his true destiny. Singam II is a 2013 Indian Tamil action film written and directed by Hari. A sequel to the 2010 film Singam, the film stars Suriya, who reprises the title role, along with Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek and Santhanam in supporting roles. Produced by S. Lakshman Kumar, it has music and background score by Devi Sri Prasad. The film was released on 5 July 2013 along with a Telugu dubbed version simply titled Singam, also known as Yamudu II. A Hindi dubbed version entitled Main Hoon Surya: Singham II was released later on 2 August. Plot After having killed extortionist Mayil Vaaganam in the first film, Durai Singam (Suriya) has gone undercover after meeting the Home Minister (Vijayakumar) and is working as an NCC officer in a school in Thoothukudi. The only people who know about this operation are the Chief Minister (K. Viswanath) and Home Minister. Sathya (Hansika Motwani) is a student who falls for Duraisingam though he is waiting to marry Kavya (Anushka Shetty), his love interest.

Singam's father is angry about him leaving the force and refuses to speak with him. He also forbids the marriage between Duraisingam and Kavya, as he fears Kavya's father might take Duraisingam away to manage his business empire and so that Durai Singam will lose respect within his relatives. Susai (Santhanam), a local who works in the same school shows Duraisingam parts of Thoothukudi and tells him about the rogue elements dominating the area helping him in his surveillance. He requests the Home Minister to transfer Erimalai (Vivek) and another cop for assisting him. Sathya's moves are frequently repulsed by Duraisingam who learns that Sathya is the niece of rich exports businessman Thangaraj (Rahman). Bhai (Mukesh Rishi) and Thangaraj, pretend to be enemies, but are two criminals who control the south-east coastline of Tamilnadu. Bhai and Thangaraj have connections with an international gangster and drug lord Danny (Danny Sapani), and are trafficking cocaine. Duraisingam doesn't know about their connection and keeps Bhai in his off duty surveillance. One day, due to a verbal fight in a pub, Bhai's chief drug importer Sagayam kidnaps a girl from another caste and holds her ransom until sunset and then releases her to damage her family name.

This causes a communal problem in the city, and Duraisingam's school principal is advised to close the school for the day. With his info connections, Duraisingam learns of the problem, and takes charge as new Deputy-Superintendent of Police for the urban, and rescues the girl. He is lauded by the press and his father forgives him. Meanwhile, Sathya learns that Kavya and Duraisingam are strongly in love and distances herself from them. Then Duraisingam finds out about thangaraj and bhai's partnership. He plans to arrest sagyam first, gathering evidence while Sagaym is out to sea, and waits to arrest him at the harbour. But Sagyam is bringing Danny with him to attend Thangaraj's new hotel's party. Sagyam is arrested by plan, and Duraisingam arrest Danny without knowing his identity, but due to lack of visa. Thangaraj tries multiple power levels to make Duraisingam release the duo, but it is not of any use. Finally they take Duraisingam to his superiors office, and then break open his station to release Danny and Sagayam. All of Duraisingam's effort is spoiled due to superiors and the next morning he is suspended for unruly behavior. Though without power, he warns Bhai that he knows about Danny and will return soon. Duraisingam meets the home minister at Chennai, and plans an operation to eliminate all gangs. He then gets re-appointed and gets his superior suspended. He gets authorization to kill drug dealers on sight even without evidence. Since the next load of drugs is ready to be delivered by Danny, Bhai decides that Sagyam will deliver the drugs to him in Kerala, and he will bring it back. But he is arrested by Duraisingam, drugs in hand. The next day, at Duraisingam's engagement function, a former adversary informs him that Thangaraj has hired goons to attack his home at night and kill everyone. Duraisingam foils that plan also, by breaking his gun, giving it in the armoury and then killing the goons single-handedly. Duraisingam then places a drug bag insides Thangaraj's house and arrests Thangaraj and jails him. He also finds that Danny has escaped. After a moment, Duraisingam gets a phone call from someone informed that Sathya is accidentally died, then he rushed to Thangaraj's house and there he sees the death of Sathya. He further analyzes that Sathya was killed by her own dad who poisoned her. Meanwhile, Duraisingam traces Danny to South Africa to do drug business again. Duraisingam goes to Africa to arrest Danny, and locks him in the same cell from where Danny had escaped. Lastly, he goes on an undercover mission to track down Sathya's killer and get ready to marry Kavya.

The film was dubbed into Hindi as Khatarnak Khiladi. It was remade in Kannada as Maanikya and in Bengali as Bindaas. The movie will be run with the backdrop of Macherla (Palnadu capital).

Plot
The movie begins with Jai (Prabhas) practicing guitar when a girl runs to him and asks him to save her from a gang of goons chasing her. Then Jai, without fighting, resolves the conflict. The girl introduces herself as Manasa (Richa Gangopadhyay). They slowly become friends, but one day she asks Jai to leave her and go as she cannot stand the separation from him if their relationship develops any further. He then goes back to India and changes the mind of Manasa's brother Poorna (Subbaraju), and when they give a vacation he goes with him to his village. There, where everyone are conservative in nature, he changes their nature and makes them more lovable. When Manasa expresses her love for him, he tells his flashback. It is then revealed that he was born to their rival's family. His father Deva (Sathyaraj) wanted to convert the people of his village. But his mother Latha (Nadhiya) didn't want to stay there, so she left him. Later when Jai goes there, he falls in love with Vennela (Anushka Shetty). He starts taking revenge on Manasa's family without revealing his identity. Then they decide to marry Jai with Vennela because they both are in love with each other. During the marriage, the inspector tells his father that the enmity is rekindling because his son is taking revenge on the rivals. Soon afterwards, the rivals come and start killing everyone. After the fight, Latha dies. Deva banishes him and blames her death on him. The story is now back to the present. Manasa's uncle challenges Jai that if he can defeat his men then he too would follow nonviolence. After successfully defeating them, her uncle asks Jai that if he could defeat the rival's son (not knowing that it was Jai himself) he would marry Manasa to Jai. Jai gets angry at his stubbornness and reveals his true identity. He starts fighting with Manasa's uncle. Then all her family members come and convert him too. This was watched by his father who had just arrived there. His father welcomes him back to the family. The film ends with him reuniting with Vennela.

Plot

The film starts with Alex Pandian (Karthi) and Divya (Anushka Shetty) jumping off a train in an attempt to escape the goons who are seeking to kill them. Three days later, Alex enters Kaalayan's (Santhanam) house with many comedy scenes. Meanwhile, Divya is receiving treatment whilst Alvin Martin (Milind Soman) and Dr. GKM (Suman) are in search for the two. Upon finding Alex and Divya, the goons chase them. Kaalayan demands to know who Divya is. It happens to be that Divya is the daughter of CM (Visu). Alex, a local thief, is asked to kidnap Divya for three days so that the CM would sign the papers which would allow Dr. GKM and Alvin Martin to distribute fake medicines with devastating side effects. Alex brings her and keeps her as a hostage in a forest. On the third day, as Alex is driving back, Divya explains the reason for why she was asked to be kidnapped and thus requests him to take her back to her father. Alex changes his mind and decides to save Divya. The film shifts back to the present and by now, Divya has fallen in love with Alex. As fate would have it, the goons arrive at their hiding place. The film ends with Alex killing the villains and reuniting with Divya.

Damarukam is a 2012 Telugu socio fantasy film produced by R.R Venkat on R. R. Movie Makers banner, written and directed by Srinivasa Reddy. Starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anushka Shetty play the lead roles and music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film recorded as Utter flop at box office.

The film was released on 23 November 2012. Chota K. Naidu won Filmfare Award for Best Cinematographer - South. The film was later dubbed into Hindi as Shiva - The Superhero 2.

The protagonist of the movie is born with a divine grace of Lord Shiva (Prakash Raj) and the boy's parents are advised to name him as Mallikarjuna as he is destined to accomplish a great work. During his childhood, Mallikarjuna faces a great tragedy as his parents and grandparents are killed by a huge feline creature when they are returning from Kashi. This incident leaves his younger sister, Sailu (Abhinaya) paralyzed from the waist and hence renders her lame (Sailu had a talent for dancing before this incident). This disaster makes Malli to become an atheist.

Meanwhile, the scene shifts to the focus of a demon named Andhaka asura (Ravi Shankar). We see him performing a severe penance to obtain the boon of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva blesses the demon that he will not interfere in the latter's attempt to sacrifice a virgin girl in order to obtain complete rulership over the 3 worlds. The demon is advised by his aged friend Maayi (Jeeva) that the sacrifice must be made in a month having 2 solar eclipses, in such a way that he has to marry the girl and sacrifice her before the solar eclipse ends. This will render the demon matchless and a master over all the 5 elements.

The story then shifts to Malli (Nagarjuna), now an adult whose motive is to help people and take care of his bedridden sister. He falls in love with Dr. Maheshwari (Anushka Shetty) on a visit to the hospital where his sister is being treated. There are many scenes where the atheist Malli forces the people of his colony who include Rudraksha (Brahmanandam), Ringu Raja (Raghu Babu), President (Krishna Bhagavaan) and others, not to worship, on account of his childhood tragedy. Then, on one occasion, Malli questions Lord Shiva for his condition and drives away in his car, only to meet with an accident. Lord Shiva comes and saves him. Lord Shiva calls himself as Saambayya, befriends Malli and goes to his home.

The demon chooses Dr. Maheshwari as his target for the sacrifice and prevents the Kaapaalikas (who arrive to the temple) from having access to Mahi, on the first solar eclipse day. Malli rescues Mahi from the Kaapaalikas and Mahi's parents entrust Malli to take care of Mahi. Then, Mahi's parents decide to get Mahi married to a relative, Rahul (Ganesh Venkatraman), who is to arrive from US. This advice is given by saint known to Mahi's family. On his arrival to the airport, Andhakaasura kills Rahul in the washroom and takes his form. The demon, now in Rahul's form, enters Mahi's home, and kills 3 dogs who guard Mahi. The demon also paralyzes Mahi's father, when he comes to know the truth about him. He also tires to kill Malli and Mahi, on their way to a temple, but Lord Shiva intervenes by sending his divine vehicle, Nandi who saves Malli. This infuriates the demon, who feels that Lord Shiva has not kept his promise. He challenges the Lord, to which he replies that it was his duty to protect his devotee. The demon then decides to oppose Lord Shiva, so he kills the saint known to Mahi's family, impersonates him and convinces Malli, Mahi and others that Saambayya is not a good person by faking his death at the hands to Saambayya. This makes Malli angry on Saambayya and he returns the ring of friendship given to him by Saambayya.

Finally, Malli convinces Mahi's family that Rahul is actually Andhakaasura. Then, the demon carries Mahi to the spot of sacrifice and prepares for the ritual. Meanwhile, Malli is advised by the Kaapalika chief (Avinash) to worship Lord Shiva, he tells Malli about his purpose of birth to destroy the demon and the means to do it, as he was the reason of the tragedy in Malli's Childhood and Lord Shiva saved him as Saambayya. Malli confronts the demon, is initially defeated, but he heads skyward to get a blessing from Lord Shiva and finally destroys Andhakaasura by piercing the Trident given by Lord Shiva.

The film sees Nagarjuna and Anushka Shetty playing the leads. Ganesh Venkatraman,[7] Prakash Raj, Pradeep Rawat, Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagavaan, Ahuti Prasad, Ali, Venu Madhav, Raghu Babu, M.S. Narayana and Jeeva are in the cast. Editing is by Gauthgautamam Raju, art is by Ashok, cinematography is by Chota K. Naidu and music is by Devi Sri Prasad.,[8] Times of Ap reported that Lakshmi Rai was set to shake legs with Nagarjuna for the introduction song in this movie.[9] The makers then have decided to set Charmy in the place of Lakshmi Rai for the introduction song in this movie.[10] Nagarjuna had shown his six-pack abs for the first time in the movie.[11]

Filming

The shooting of the film began on 25 April 2011. The first schedule of the film was in Switzerland, where Nagarjuna would romance Anushka Shetty to the choreography of Raju Sundaram. On 29 September 2012, The theatrical trailer of this socio-fantasy film has released with the movie Rebel, which graced the theatres that day. According to the producer Dr Venkat, the trailer has received a huge response from the film goers. This movie is the first Telugu film ever with over 70 minutes of special effects. It is learnt that the movie is loaded with some of most breathtaking visual effects ever for an Indian movie and is going to set a new benchmark as far as VFx standards go in India. A team of visual effects experts at Firefly Creative Studio have been working on the movie for over a year now. Firefly, the company which worked on special effects for films like Anji, Arundathi, Magadheera & Anaganaga O Dheerudu. Vyshnavi Films purchased the overseas theatrical rights.

Plot
On 1 January 2011, a sudden bomb blast occurs in London, killing several people. The scene shifts to the same place after exactly a year, where a blind man Kenny Thomas (Vikram) lays flowers on the memorial and mourns someone's death during the bomb blast. He is then given some secret details by a mysterious woman. Kenny then takes a taxi driven by Satyan (Santhanam) who is a comical Tamil guy. He drops Kenny at a place and waits for him to return. But Kenny actually goes inside to kill someone. He kills him and throws him down. Seeing the corpse, Satyan flees. During this entire scene, Kenny is shown to produce a sound from his mouth, to find his way, which is later shown as echolocation. Later Kenny is shown to play piano in a local church, and he is blind he has so many people who care for him. In the meantime, Kenny carries out two more murders, taking the same taxi driven by the innocent Satyan, following instructions from the mysterious woman.

Sarah Vinayagam (Amy Jackson), a British-born Indian girl, wins the Miss London title, and to build her social profile, she goes to Kenny's church and acts like helping out there. Initially Kenny does not like her, but eventually they become friends. Sara's father is a doctor, who supports Kenny as he is blind. Police officer Veerakathi (Nasser), a Eela Tamil, is the officer in charge of the murders. As the autopsy of the murdered victims take place under Sara's father, Veerakathi visits him and comes to know about Kenny, who is admitted there for a small accident. Verrakathi initially suspects Kenny, but is not convinced that he is the murderer. As Satyan is found on all the murder spots, the police arrest him, suspecting that he must be having a connection with the murders. But Satyan manages to find a picture of Kenny from a local newspaper and informs Veerakathi. Satyan is released and he meets Sara, and both of them go to a place (which she comes to know from Kenny's phone, which he misses during a fight with the local thugs). They reach there in time to see Kenny almost kill a guy named Victor (a steel company owner). But Kenny flees the scene after seeing them and takes Satyan's taxi to escape. As he is blind, he runs the taxi into a river along with Satyan and Sara. Later they are shown to be in a river bank shocked. Sara and Satyan try to escape, where they see Geetha (Lakshmi Rai), who confronts Sara and Satyan, and reveals the real identity of Kenny.

Kenny is actually a RAW agent in India, whose real name is Shivakumar. He, along with Sharath (Jagapati Babu), complete various missions for the Indian government. Siva and Sarath are very close friends. Meantime Siva gets married to Meenakshi (Anushka Shetty), who is an Eye Doctor in Delhi. They both have same views on marriage that, one should first meet someone and then become friends and then fall in love and then get married. But as their marriage happens in a hurry, they decide that, they must first become friends. As time goes by, they become closer to each other and almost become the complete pair. Meenakshi decides to express her love to Shiva on the New year's Day (which turns out to be His birthday).

In the Meantime, Sharath handles a case where an Indian Army secret (a flowchart) about a WMD goes missing. Shiva shows interest in this case and he goes to London (on a different name,where a former Indian Policeman named Kenny helps him) to find an important clue, as Sharath is injured during a fight. But Shiva is shocked to find his plan go terribly wrong and is now chased by the London police, following a few incidents. But now he finds a shocking truth about Sarath. It is shown that Sharath is the mastermind behind the missing Flowchart and he sells it to a terrorist group, with some help from the London militants. Shiva finds this entire plot and asks Sharath to surrender. But he later learns that Meenakshi also has come to London along with Sharath (to surprise Shiva on his Birthday and Propose to him). So to save her, Shiva abides by Sharath's order and he comes to a place (with Kenny), where a sudden bomb blast occurs, killing Kenny and Meenakshi and Blinding Shiva. The actual wife of Kenny is Geetha, who decides to take revenge on those responsible for the death of Kenny and Meenakshi. She forms a team with Shiva, and joins him in a School where he learns Echolocation from Daniel Kish an expert echolocator. After that, Geetha tells the people who caused the disaster to Kenny and kills them when Mr. Veerakathi finally understood why Kenny was killing them. After electrocuting Sharath in Victor's (Sharath's friend) factory, the Union Minister requested Kenny to come back to India as Shivakumar but however, he rejects the request as Kenny's former identity as Shivakumar had 'died' and he is going to spend his life for Meenakshi.

Production
UTV Motion Pictures commenced an innovative title contest in Twitter and it received massive response from Vikram fans. Vikram was revealed to play the role of a blind man, who practices the technique of human echolocation, the ability to detect objects, their position and size by sensing echoes. Vikram underwent special sessions with Daniel Kish, an internationally renowned expert of human echolocation. The team had planned to bring Kish to Chennai for the audio launch ceremony. Anushka Shetty was chosen to portray Vikram’s wife in the film. Amy Jackson plays a British-born-Tamil girl in the film and was said to dub for herself as well. Telugu actor Jagapati Babu was selected to play villain.

Filming
Filming commenced in Chennai in early December 2011 and was to be held in various locations in the US for 60 days and later in Delhi and various locations across southern Tamil Nadu. Sources said that the film would be entirely shot in Los Angeles city. Almost 50 per cent of the shoot was completed with the Delhi and Chennai schedules. While "delays in getting the visa for the entire cast and crew" was the official reason given for the change of location from the US to the UK, sources told that the move was also necessitated to keep the budget from skyrocketing. Some scenes were shot in UK. Lakshmi Rai joined the team in London in May 2012. A duet song between Vikram and Amy was shot on the River Thames.

Plot
Krishna (Vikram) is intellectually disabled and has the mental ability of a six-year old. He lives a peaceful life in the hill station of Ooty. He is cared for by Victor (Krishna Kumar), the owner of a chocolate factory where Krishna works. One day he excitedly announces to the village that he will become a father. That night, his daughter is born, but his wife Banumathy dies during childbirth. Unable to grasp the concept of death, he simply accepts that his wife has "gone to God" and starts life as a father. He names his daughter Nila, and raises her with love and care. She soon grows into a happy young girl (Sara). With the help of Victor and his other mentally challenged friends, Krishna enrolls Nila in school.

Nila adjusts herself to school life, and befriends the correspondent Shwetha Rajendran (Amala Paul), who develops a maternal bond with the girl. But when she learns that Nila is Krishna's daughter, she refuses to let her stay with him. Soon a scuffle starts between Krishna and Shwetha's fiancé Karthik (Karthik Kumar). It is broken up by the entry of Shwetha's father Rajendran (Sachin Khedekar) who reveals that his other daughter was Banumathy, who became estranged from him by choosing to marry Krishna. He offers to take Krishna and Nila with him and claims that they are part of his family. Victor agrees and sends them with Rajendran.

At a distance from Chennai, Rajendran tricks Krishna into exiting the car, and abandons him. Distraught, Krishna wanders around the city asking passerby where Nila is. He eventually arrives at a court, where he meets lawyer Vinod (Santhanam) who assumes that he is rich, and promises him that his boss will defend him. He introduces him to his boss/colleague Anuradha Ragunathan aka Anu (Anushka Shetty), who is hesitant to take up the case as she believes Krishna to be a lunatic. But soon, Victor arrives and explains Krishna's predicament and moved to tears, Anu agrees to help him.

She files a case against Rajendran, but loses hope when she learns that Rajendran's lawyer is Bashyam (Nassar), a feared senior lawyer who has never lost a case. The case is then heard in the high court, with both party arguring to the custody of the child.

Finally, Bashyam asks Krishna about how he can raise his daughter then to support her financially. Then after a quick show of father-daughter connection and affection, Bashyam withdraws and loses the case voluntarily. Giving Krishna his custody of his daughter, Bashyam leaves the court. After spending some time with his daughter, Krishna then takes her back to Shwetha, so that she will be raised financially stable and that she can become a doctor when she grows up.

Development
The production of the film took five months from start to finish, however Vijay claimed that the film had been in his plans for four years, but he waited for Vikram to give him dates. With A. L. Vijay and Vikram confirming their presence in the project, the producers failed in attempts to persuade Vidya Balan to appear in the film.[3] In October 2010, Anushka Shetty agreed to appear in the lead female role in the film after agreeing terms.[3] Amala Paul, who appeared in the lead role in Mynaa, was signed in November 2010.[4] She had signed on in place of Meera Jasmine, who opted out of the film before production began.[5] Despite reports that Divya Spandana joined the cast of the film in early 2011, Vijay refuted the claim as a rumour. The film saw the collaboration of several technicians who had worked in Vijay's earlier film Madrasapattinam, with G. V. Prakash Kumar as music composer, Nirav Shah as cinematographer and Anthony as editor. Santhanam was appointed as art director, whilst Deepali Noor took charge of costumes. Sara had appeared in a commercial for Vijay when she was two but he then lost touch with Sara's family, before he met them and cast Sara in Deiva Thirumagal, following a visit to Mumbai.

The film proceeded without an official title until April 2011, with several possibilities announced during the production period. The film was tentatively titled Deiva Magan (Son of God), a title from a 1969 film featuring Sivaji Ganesan. However problems arose after Sivaji Productions claimed that they owned the rights of the title and expressed their interest on using the name for a future production featuring Sivaji's grandson, Vikram Prabhu. The title Pitha (Father) also ran into trouble after a debutant team announced that they had registered the title, and the title Deiva Thirumagan also created controversies, but subsequently the film was christened as Deiva Thirumagal in March 2011.

Filming
The film was predominantly shot across the hill country settings in Ooty throughout late 2010, with a chocolate factory being constructed as a set by art director Santhanam. Scenes were also shot within Chennai, with the Chennai High Courtroom being reproduced for a scene in the film. The team of the film returned to Ooty in February 2011 to complete the final schedule, after which the film was completed. In order to perfect his portrayal of a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five year old boy, Vikram visited Vidya Sagar, a school for children with special needs, to learn and study the behavior of such children.

Vaanam (English: Sky) is a 2011 Indian Tamil drama film written and directed by Krish. It is a remake of his 2010 Telugu film Vedam. It features an ensemble cast of Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj, Saranya and Sonia Agarwal. The score and soundtrack were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography and editing were handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively.

Vaanam is a Hyperlink Cinema film, with the story revolving around the lives of five individuals from different walks of life, representing the five natural elements— aether, air, water, fire and earth —and illustrates how their fates intertwine on New Year's Eve at a hospital in Chennai. The film, jointly produced by Ganesh Janardhanan and R. Ganesh and distributed by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, was released on 29 April 2011,[6] and opened to critical acclaim upon release, and was successful at the Box office.

Plot
Cable Raja (Silambarasan) is a cable operator born and raised in a slum area in Chennai. He bemoans his poverty and wishes to become rich by marrying his girlfriend Priya (Jasmin Bhasin). He cons her into believing he is well off, and adopts a well-bred persona in front of her. Raja is always accompanied by his best friend Seenu (Santhanam) and guided by Bhajan singer Ganesh (VTV Ganesh). When he is asked by Priya to buy high-priced passes to a New Year's Eve gala, he finds himself severely short of money. After a failed attempt at chain snatching and crossing paths with the police, he heads to a hospital with theft on his mind.

Bharath Chakravarthy (Bharath) is an aspiring rockstar from Bangalore, who is irresponsible but well-meaning. His mother disapproves of his dreams and wishes him to become an army officer, which he opposes. When his band misses their flight to a live concert because of him, he takes them to Chennai via road. En route, Bharath and his girlfriend Laasya (Vega Tamotia) are attacked by religious fanatics, but are aided by strangers, which causes him to reflect on life. They finally arrive in Chennai, but their vehicle collides with an auto-rickshaw carrying a pregnant woman. Sacrificing their concert, Bharath and Laasya rush her to the hospital.

Saroja (Anushka) is a prostitute working at Rani Amma's brothel at the Tamil Nadu-Andhra border. When she discovers that her life is constantly in danger while working there, she escapes to Chennai with her co-worker Karpooram (Nikki), a eunuch, in hopes of starting her own business venture. On arrival, she is hounded by both thugs and policemen, ultimately being led into a trap. In an ensuing fight, Karpooram is mortally wounded. Desperate, Saroja carries her to the hospital.

Rahim (Prakash Raj) and his wife Zara (Sonia Agarwal) had lost their unborn twins in a communal riot in Coimbatore. When Zara becomes pregnant again a few months later, Rahim heads to Chennai to locate his younger brother who had run away following the riots. There, he comes into repeated conflict with anti-Muslim officer Shivaram (Ravi Prakash), who suspects him of being a terrorist. Despite his claims of innocence, Rahim is brutally assaulted by the cop, and admitted in the hospital under close watch.

Lakshmi (Saranya) is the daughter-in-law of a poor weaver in Thoothukudi. When the weaver is unable to pay back a loan to a cruel money lender ('Kadhal' Dhandapani), the latter kidnaps Lakshmi's young son, a bright student, and refuses to release him until his debt is cleared. Lakshmi arrives in Chennai with her father-in-law, hoping to sell her kidney to obtain the money. After initial hassles, she undergoes the operation and receives the money, although it is still insufficient. At that point, Cable Raja enters and steals the cash from her, ignoring her pleas. In a state of despair, Lakshmi and her father-in-law contemplate suicide.

Struck by his conscience, Raja is unable to continue his plan. He admits the truth to Priya and returns the money, even giving up some of his own money, gaining Lakshmi's forgiveness. Meanwhile, Rahim discovers that terrorist leader Mansoor Khan (Jayaprakash) and his gang are planning to kill all the people at the hospital. Rahim tries to escape, but on seeing Bharath wheeling in a pregnant woman, he is reminded of his wife and offers to help them. The terrorist strike begins and several people are shot dead. Raja, Bharath, Rahim and Saroja lead a small bunch of survivors to an abandoned room.

Cable Raja and Bharath fights and kill a terrorist one-on-one. While Bharath sustaining multiple bullet wounds to his shoulder in order to save Saroja. Rahim saves Shivaram from a shooter and comes face to face with his brother, who is part of the terrorist gang. When confronted, Rahim's brother shoots himself. Just then, Mansoor Khan reveals himself to be a human bomb, and primes to explode. Cable Raja sacrifices himself by pulling Khan and falling out of the window followed by the explosion.

In the aftermath, Bharath loses his hand but is alive; he is hailed as a national hero. Saroja and Karpooram head toward a new decent life, hoping to find redemption. Lakshmi pays off the money lender and gives her son a proper education. Shivaram apologized to Rahim and asks for forgiveness, which he grants and accepts him as a brother. Cable Raja is mourned by the people in his community, and Priya as well, while Ganesh and Seenu hail him as a martyr.

Production
After Tamil producer R. B. Choudary had bought the rights of Vedam for a "hefty amount" to remake it in Tamil, his younger son Jeeva was initially supposed to play the role enacted by Allu Arjun in the original film, while either Namitha or Anushka Shetty were reported to essay the lead female role of Saroja. However, to the surprise of all, Silambarasan bagged the lead role, who had seen the original version and was immediately impressed by the "Cable" Raju character, and started shooting for the film from early July, while he was expected to work on Podaa Podi during that period. By accepting this film, Silambarasan was said to have lost the project with N. Linguswamy and Dayanidhi Azhagiri, who were unhappy about Silambarasan starting to shoot for this film without informing them and further delaying their film.

Meanwhile, Anushka was reported to have denied the offer, following which Taapsee Pannu, who was the female lead in Vetrimaran's Aadukalam, was considered for the prostitute character, Saroja. During the launch of the film then, sources claimed that Anushka, following her refusal, had been roped in by the producers for an item number only, which was specially included for the Tamil version and didn't feature in the original, for which she was supposedly paid an "exorbitant price". However, Anushka dismissed all these reports and eventually confirmed that she would reprise her role from the original, citing that "at no point did I refuse to be a part of this project". Mohan Babu's son Manoj Manchu was also supposed to reprise his original character and enact the rockstar role in Vaanam, but was forced to opt out, following an accident during the shoot of his Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam and had to undergo an operation. He was replaced by Bharath, who was approached by Silambarasan himself for the role and immediately agreed as he loved Vedam".

For the character essayed by Deeksha Seth in the original, Sneha Ullal was initially roped in. She was to make her Tamil debut with this film and play Silambarasan's love interest. Vega Tamotia was roped in to essay a rock musician, played originally by Lekha Washington, being paired opposite Bharath, while producer Ganesh would appear in a cameo role, too. In September 2010, Sonia Agarwal was also signed up for a pivotal role, returning to acting after four years, replacing Siya Gautham as Zara, the wife of Prakash Raj's character, which she was initially supposed to play in the original version itself, but eventually missed due to personal problems. Compared to the original, however, she cited that she would have more scenes and one "extra song". Prakash Raj himself, would play a Muslim, enacting Manoj Bajpai's role from the original. Noted Telugu actor Ravi Prakash was roped in to play the same role he did in the original version, making his Tamil film debut. However there was a turn of events in early 2011, as Sneha Ullal, who had already shot for significant portions, was replaced by Delhi-based model Jasmin Bhasin. Jasmin, who completed her portions in 15 days and also dubbed for herself, had initially auditioned for the rock musician role of Vega Tamotia. Furthermore, scenes shot with Jagan were removed from the project, and then filmed with Santhanam after Jagan had fallen out with Silambarasan.

Ragada (English: Fight) is a Tollywood action film directed by Veeru Potla. The film stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anushka Shetty and Priyamani. The film was released on 24 December. 2010 and dubbed into Tamil as Vambhu.[1] The movie was a box office hit.

Synopsis

The movie starts out with Tanikelli Bharani trying to kill an innocent man, who is against Pedhanna. Tanikelli is killed by Jairam, who is one of Peddhanna's followers. Peddhanna is the biggest goon in all of AP, and he has 3 major followers who murder people for him. The other henchman just kidnap the wanted. These followers are, Jairam, Bhagavan, and Nanda. The next scene introduces Satya, getting of a truck and getting involved in a fight, which is against GK, and Peddhanna. Satya helps GK, who makes him his partner. Here, they find out that Satya is very money minded. GK's love, Sirisha, who does not love GK back, gets captured by Satya, and falls in love with him. Brahmanandam is another important character in the story whose major role is flirting with Sirisha. Priyamani enters as Ashtalakshmi, being chased by rowdies. Obviously, Satya beats them up, and finds out that the rowdies are Pedhanna's rowdies following Ashtalakshmi, for a reason she does not know of. Later, her whole family is introduced as a Brahmin family.

Satya tells good tactics to GK, to fight Peddhanna. In one fight, Jairam captures Sirisha, and GK captures Jairam. Not wasting any time, Satya kills Jairam. Once again, Sirisha falls deeper in love with him. Satya gets another warning from Bhagavan, Peddhana's follower, to join him; but Satya does not. Ashtalakshmi, then, also falls in love with him. Later, Sirisha takes Satya to meet his friends at a pub, and she talks with a tattooed girl, whose face is not shown to Satya. In the next scene, Satya takes Ashtalakshmi on a date with him, that was supposed to be his date with Sirisha. Satya is cornered and goes to Bhagavan's house, and kills him, and his son.

Satya thinks about why he joined the goon's gang. It is for money. The movie jumps to Satya's flashback, where they find out that Satya is an orphan, taken into care by a loving doctor, who is like Mother Teresa. The people of this City, Kadapa, worship this doctor. At that time, an election is taking place. The people want the Dr. to decide on who to vote for. Devyander, a political campaigner and who also has the support of Pedhanna, kidnaps Dr's daughter, to make sure she tells everyone to vote for him. However, she does not. Satya enters on cue, and beats up Devyander's men. It is later found out that he has to get 72 crores to keep the Dr's hospital running, as Devyander's dad donated the money to the Dr, to open the hospital. He also kills the doctor at one point of time. So, to get the money and to take revenge against the goons who killed the doctor, Satya enters into the city.

At this time, Satya is back in his house and is dealing with Ashtalakshmi's parents who are weeping uncontrollably. He finds out that Peddhanna's men long ago kidnapped Ashtalakshmi's elder brother, and that is why they came to the city. But, as they can not find him, they ask Satya to help. Satya goes to the headquarters where her brother is held, and frees him. Then he finds out that Ashtalakshmi is not who she says she is, and actually robbed 180 crores from Peddhanna with the help of her brother.

The rest of the story is how Satya gets the money and figures out the link between GK and Pedhanna.

Nagavalli is a 2010 Telugu horror and drama film directed by P. Vasu and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. It is a remake of the Kannada movie Aptharakshaka and a sequel to the 2004 Kannada film Apthamithra and its remake, the 2005 Tamil film Chandramukhi both directed by Vasu, which was dubbed and released in Telugu, which itself is a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu. The film Nagavalli starred Daggubati Venkatesh, Anushka Shetty, Richa Gangopadhyay, Shraddha Das, Poonam Kaur, and Kamalinee Mukherjee. The movie was dubbed in Hindi as Mera Badla. It was released on 16 December 2010 to positive reviews.

Synopsis
Nagavalli is a supernatural thriller; its story revolves around characters living in a house in Tirupati. After a family member receives a Nagavalli portrait as a prize in the Nagavalli Dance competition, various characters start having abnormal experiences. In order to save themselves and unfold the mystery, the family looks to Ramachandra Siddhanthi and Dr. Vijay.

The story starts off with an ancient painting of Chandramukhi alias Nagavalli (Anushka Shetty), distributed as a prize to bharathanatyam dancer Gayathri (Kamalinee Mukherjee), her husband and her family. Gayathri lives in a palatial house in Tirupathi with her husband, father Shankar Rao (Sharat Babu), mother Parvathi (Prabha), sisters Geetha (Shraddha Das) and Gowri (Richa Gangopadhyay), maternal uncle Appa Rao(Dharmavarapu Subramanyam), his wife and maternal cousins Pooja(Poonam Kaur) and Hema(Suja) happily.

Few years later, Gayathri and her Husband are shown to be dead. However, at the Engagement day of Gowri,youngest of the three sisters of Gayathri,one of her friends had fainted by encountering a huge thirty-feet Snake/Serpent, and the bridegroom/fiancé had ran away from the family house fearing of something. All strange incidents happen as the family called for a snake charmer to the house, but the snake charmer had died when he attempted to make the serpent appear. The members of the family are psychologically affected by the presence of Chandramukhi's painting and things have not been going well in the house.

They decided to contact Acharya Ramchandra Siddhanthi (Avinash), an astrologer cum sage. The father of the three daughters had told the people and the Acharya that Gayathri and her husband died suddenly after the bharathanatyam competition. The Acharya takes the help of Dr Vijay (Venkatesh), a psychiatrist, to solve the problem. All directions point to the huge portrait of Chandramukhi, and is observed that the portrait is the cause for this. So the father had warned everyone to not go to the outhouse or to the room where Chandramukhi's painting is. At first both Achrya and Dr. Vijay suspects Geetha due to her strange behaviour. One night, Dr. Vijay goes to the outhouse as he heard anklet sounds, and there was another smaller portrait of Chandramukhi in the outhouse and the Doctor wondered how this portrait of Chandramukhi had come here, and it was revealed that Gayathri is still alive, but became mad after the truck accident in which her husband died while he was carrying the painting of Chandramukhi, and that she said that no one accepted to marry the second daughter Geetha because Gayathri was mad and so Geetha vowed that she wouldn't marry, and since they didn't want Gowri's situation to be like this, they lied saying Gayathri was dead. In a few occasions, someone attempted to murder the Acharya twice. Suspecting Gayathri, the acharya asks the family members to bring Gayathri to the temple and that he will show everyone that Chanramukhi is in Gayathri's body, but as Gayathri stepped the temple, all animals were running out of the temple.

Suspecting each and every person in the family, Dr. Vijay starts to investigate everything so he goes to the library to read a book based on Raja Sri Sri Sri Nagabhairava Rajshekhara 's life and further information on Nagavalli too. The investigation also takes back to around 125 years when Raja Sri Sri Sri Nagabhairava Rajshekhara (Venkatesh) used to live and how his enmity with Chandramukhi has been going on since centuries, and was revealed that he had attempted to escape as one of his men had spread a dirty rumour about him, which caused the whole Dominion and the people to go and slaughter and assassinate him... but the book didn't tell if he got assassinated, or if he really committed suicide or if he is alive. Dr. Vijay finishes reading the book and whilst signing the ledger, he reads the name above him: Chandramukhi... and he understands that she had read the book before he had. To further investigate about Chandramukhi, Dr. Vijay goes to Chandramukhi's place and an old man told the Doctor that Chandramukhi's family died back at around a hundred years and told him that he was the second person to enquire about Chandramukhi's family, and as the Doctor asked who that person was, the old man told him that a girl came and inquired about Chandramukhi, and he also says that she was fine whilst asking the questions, but when she returned from Chandramukhi's place, she was holding a portrait of Chandramukhi and ran away like a mad girl, so the Doctor goes to Chandramukhi's house and realizes and understands that the portrait in the outhouse was the portrait of Chandramukhi which had been taken, as he glanced at an empty wall with a rectangular marking outline.

Dr. Vijay also investigates about Gayathri's husband's death and the snake charmer's death, and he comes with information that the snake charmer's death and Gayathri's husband's death had nothing to do with Chandramukhi. Dr. Vijay reveals that Sri Sri Sri Nagabhairava Rajshekhara is still alive when he printed out an astrological profile of his and when the Acharya told Dr. Vijay that this person can still be alive. So Dr. Vijay goes to the Fort/Cage where the crumpled Raja is, and at the time, the Acharya performs a pooja to try to bring Chandramukhi out of Gayathri's body. The Doctor luckily escapes from the invincible Raja, and when the Acharya asks for Gayathri's name, she says her name as Chandramukhi Gayathri, but is revealed that she is still mad, but not affected by Chandramukhi. Dr. Vijay comes back to cure Gayathri from her madness, and he succeeds, but the problem of Chandramukhi is not finished yet, and he knows who is affected by Nagavalli. Later the Doctor reveals to everyone that Gowri is affected by Chandramukhi as he makes her angry and change personality from Gowri to Chandramukhi in front of everyone, then she swoons after she returns to her normal position. Then later, he explains to everyone that Gowri had written both the names while she signed the ledger: Gowri in English when she was borrowing the book, Chandramukhi in Tamil when she was returning the book, and that it was also her who scared the bridegroom away on the Engagement day and sat downstairs like as if she didn't know anything. In order to know more about Chandramukhi's lover Gunashekharan, she went to Chandramukhi's house as Gowri, and returned with Chandramukhi's photo, completely as Chandramukhi.

Afterwards Gowri goes to the cage/fort where Nagabhairava Rajshekhara is, to kill him. Dr. Vijay, knowing Gowri would have definitely seek revenge goes to the cage/fort where the Raja almost gets burnt to death, but he survives when it starts to rain, then Dr. Vijay has a battle with him, and the Raja almosts decapitates Gowri/Chandramukhi, but before he does so, a bolt of lightning strikes the sword and it reduces the Raja to ashes, and it is the end of Raja Sri Sri Sri Nagabhairava Rajshekhara's story. Gowri is no more affected by Chandramukhi anymore and is going to marry the bridegroom she scared away, and Geetha is going to marry too and it all comes to a happy ending.
