Island Blooms Go Round Tote

I decided to get a Go Round Tote in Island Blooms since it was on sale over the weekend. This is my first Go Round Tote and I am excited about it. I think that it will be great for going to work since I normally have extra stuff with me. All the pockets will help me keep everything organized too.

In San Diego I didnt have to worry about season (mainly because we dont have them, haha) but here in DC this bag might be a bit too summery for winter. It looks a little out of place in the snow. I guess I will have to wait a few more months.

My New Vera From the Spring 2012

As I mentioned yesterday I made it to the Vera Bradley store last week to go check out the new colors for Spring 2012. I picked up a few things while I was there too!

I picked up a Go Round Tote in Island Blooms, Petite Photo Duo on Rosy Posies and Thank You Cards in Ellie Blue.

I love my new tote! I had never really looked at the Go Round Tote before, but since it was on sale I decided that it was worth checking out. I love the pockets on the inside and outside, plus it zips shut so I can put important stuff inside and keep it safe when I take the metro to work.

I loved these thank you cards. They say, "little card, big thanks."

This is the Petite Photo Duo. I am not a huge fan of Rosy Posies, but I like this cute frame. I am going to put a couple photos from my trip to see my sister in it and take it to work.

I spend enough to get the gift with purchase. I choose a Ditty Bag in Island Blooms, but they were out of them, so they had to order it. It should arrive in a few days :)

Vera Bradley Store for the Spring 2012 Release

I made it to the Vera Bradley store on Friday after work. I was excited to go see the new styles since I had seen the colors back when they previewed them in August.

The Reason I am Looking Forward to Island Blooms

A friend posted a link to ebay for a pair of Jack Rogers Vera Bradley Peacock Sandals and I bid and won! I couldn't be more excited! They are brand new!

People in California (well my friends, I guess I shouldn't generalize) don't wear Jack Rogers sandals. I didnt even know what they were until I moved to DC and saw girls wearing them throughout the spring and summer. I think that they are so cute and can be casual or dressed up a little. I had tried them on at Nordstrom but wasn't ready to pay full price for them. I looked on ebay over the summer a few times, but had pretty much forgot about them since I havent been able to wear sandals for months. Good thing I waited because now I have the best of both worlds!

An Island Blooms bag will go great with my new sandals!!! I can't wait for summer!

Hello OhMyVera readers! You may have checked out Alison's guest post on my blog last week and I'm here to guest post today about my favorite travel accessories all from Vera Bradley of course!! My girlfriend got me hooked on Vera a few years ago and I now have attended two of the outlet sales in Ft.Wayne and have spent many hours searching their website for the next item that will be on my wish list. Most of my items are from the outlet sale and were such a great buy!

Large Cosmetic, Small Cosmetic & I believe brush & pencil cosmetic. I also have pictured my night owl curling iron cover, clutch cosmetic in Sand & my Vera glasses in Medallion. I use the Large Cosmetic for my lotion, contact solution & other large toiletries. The small cosmetic is always in my purse full of my makeup. The brush & pencil I keep my toothpaste, floss & toothbrush in during travel. The clutch cosmetic holds my jewelry while traveling. Mod floral blue is one of my favorite colors!

Once all of my bathroom items are packed in the appropriate cases they go in either the Blue Lagoon Weekender (I love all of the pockets) or my very sturdy Travel Frame bag in Gray. I love that most of Vera's items can be thrown in the washer and they also keep me very organized!

Here I am sporting my Vera glasses that I picked out at my eye doctors office and I didn't know I picked out a Vera pair until I saw the case they came in! I guess I have good taste! :)

I was surprised to see the Resort Collection online already because Vera Bradley is quotes in an article saying that collection will be out on February 23rd. Lucky us for getting it ahead of time I guess! Click here for a link to that article. UPDATE: There are dates on the Frill, Resort & Vera Vera. You should also head over to Inside Stitch because this week they will be previewing the colors and apparently hosting a few giveaways! Bags That Reminded Me of Vera Bradley

I was out shopping last weekend and swung by the purse department in Macy's to check out what they had. Some of the Coach bags caught my eye because they reminded me a little of Vera Bradley bags. The patent leather bags on the top photo have the diamond, quilt stitching like Vera Bradley signature bags and the in the photo below the coach bag looks like the Vera Bradley nylon collection that sold out...you can see a photo here.

It is a Cold One in DC!

Burr...it is cold in DC today! You can't really tell in the photo, but it is lightly snowing. I made my coworkers stop on our way back from lunch to take a photo...plus I wanted to show you my scarf that arrived last week from Boutique Inspired Designs!! Doesn't it look great with my jacket? Puffy coats arent figure flattering, but they sure are warm! It is 32 degrees outside, but the windchill makes it feel like 19! I guess I will just have to daydream about San Diego.

PS. That is a secret service building behind me...we dont really have anything else notable on our street, so I stopped in front of that. Notice all of the barricades in front so no one can drive into the building.

Vera Bradley Floral Nightingale & Zoya Julieanne

Last time I was in a Vera Bradley store one of the women offered me a water bottle while I was waiting at the register to complete my check out. I love these little water bottles, they are so fun!

Today while I was straightening up my room I noticed that my nail polish coordinated pretty well with Floral Nightingale. My polish was bright red for NYE, but I repainted them a dark sparkly purple for work this week. This color is Julieanne by Zoya.
