A Message from my Blog-Mistress...

Today I was tad worried that my therapist would think I was

TOTALLY off my rocker when told told him I have a bra named Olga

who travels around the world & I blog about her adventures.

But he just smiled & said,

"I think you should start writing/blogging again."

I think so too! And I've been meaning to for a WHILE. But honestly, my personal life has been so crazy & stressful these past couple of years that my creative juices just dried up & I lost the desire to blog.

(sorry Olga)

But now that things are starting to look UP

I realize there's no one better equipped to provide me with

some much needed support,

a little pick-me-up,

a gentle shove,

a great big BOOST

than Olga!

So, Olga's exciting globe-trotting adventures will be back

just as soon as I finish sifting thru' a bazillion photos

& remember where I left her hanging 2-1/2 years ago...

I think it was in Arizona...

where she got heat stroke & went kinda CRAZY...

...throwing herself at & hanging all over the local guys!

(even ones who were obviously giant pricks)

*tsk*

...and making a fool of herself by lusting after & yelling at the local gals:

Well, exactly TWO YEARS AGO I was hanging out in Liverpool, England
with my bratty, er I mean, bodacious British Chaperon,
Claire (author of A Little Piece of Me)

(who, by the way, became quite FAMOUS after appearing all over the internet
with ME on her head!

(What can I say?...I have the Midas touch!)

Here's a re-post of one of the many adventures I had with Claire

After taking her bloody sweet time springing me from the clutches of the Evil Frickin Bra-Nappers, my Chaperon, Claire took me out to celeBRAte with The Beatles in Liverpool! First stop - The Cavern Pub!

And looky who was just waiting for me to arrive!

When I saw him standing there...

well the way he looked was way beyond compare...

('specially with ME hanging 'round his neck!)

Freedom (and beer) never tasted SO good!

Ob-la-di Ob-la-da life goes on bra!

Here I am checking out The Boys when they were just wee lads...

...and here they are checking me out too!

Then we took a little walk around Matthew Street - here I am adorning the Liverpool Wall of Fame which features a disc for every Liverpool group that had a number one hit!

My personal favorite Beatles hit is "Carry That Weight" with

"Hold Me Tight" a close second...

Penny Lane is in my ~~ears and in my eyes~~ straps and cups

and it's Strawberry Fields Forever... Thanks for the magical tour of Liverpool, Claire!

As Olga's blog-mistress, I humbly apologize for neglecting my blogging duties lately and for failing to remember that TODAY marked Olga's 3rd year as a Traveling Bra! Just like Olga's adventures, my lifes journey has been taking some unexpected/interesting twists and turns lately, leaving me feeling stretched pretty thin...and all's I can say 'bout that is I'm sorry and thank goodness for Olga...who continues to lend me her support as only Olga, the Traveling Bra can do!

As for Olga's birthday?...well, recently Olga and I were thrilled to hook up and celeBRAte with some of The Girls from The Reunion...that fateful event where it all started 3 years ago...when what appeared to be The End, was really only The Beginning...for Olga, and me! (and, ummm, a few others too!)

I PROMISE to be posting much more about this soon, so please stay tuned...

and believe me when I say, truly - our cups runneth'd over!

I Feel Like A Brand New Bra! (...maybe even better)

After partyin' my cups off for several days and nights in Black Rock Desert, Nevada, I left the Burning Man festival a little worse for wear...

but after a visit to San Francisco's Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic and a short stint in ~~Rehab~~ Dennis Peron's wondrous Cozy Castro Castle...I emerged feelin' uplifted, enlightened, verrrrry relaxed...and with a renewed sense of life, love, and adventure coursing through my underwires!

Daytona International Speedway in...

Daytona Beach, Florida!

(Did I mention I am currently visiting Daytona Beach?!?)

What a thrill it was to get up close and personal with one of the greatest NASCAR drivers in the world, Mr. Dale Earnhardt...

and as you can tell by his pose,

Dale was pretty pumped to see me too!

And as I lay my straps down upon Mr. Earnhardt's special plaque on the

Walk of Fame...I heard him whisper some sage advice to me....

Psssst, Olga...

I am truly honored to be included on this list of award recipients...'specially since most of them are professional travel-photographers...and, tho' I am a professional globe-trotter, I simply canNOT get the hang of snapping a decent (or, indecent) picture! Plus, if I took the pictures, then I wouldn't be IN them, now would I?!?! (duh.)

ALL of the photos you see on my blog have been taken by one of my awesome Chaperons, or my trusty Blog-Mistress (who also is responsible for ~~making up stuff~~ penning the adventures that go along with my photos.)

I've FINALLY arrived at famous kitchen of one of the finest bakers and sweetest bloggers in all the world...Sugar (aka: Judy) of Sugar Queen's Dream!

I've already discovered that the swirllllllll setting on Sugar's KitchenAid® Mixer is quite thrilllllllling ~ Woo-HoooOOooo!

(Hmmmm, I wonder if she has any more attachments?)

OooOoooh look!....it's Sugar's Booby Cup!

I think it suits me to a tea.

But I prefer coffee.

With lots 'n lotsa cream and 2 big lumps of sugar, of course!

Welllllll...he ain't no Pirate...but Sugar's son is still pretty dang sweet!

YIKES! I really don't like the way that lil' dog is eye'n me...

successfully completed the Moonwalk ~

(a 26.2 mile powerwalk (wearing a decorated BRA) to raise money and awareness for and about Breast Cancer) ~ and I am sooooo proud of her,

I could just BUST!

Flashback To The 70's!

Due to circumstances beyond even MY amazing control,

I bring you yet another re-post of what I was doing exactly one year ago...on June 22, 2008, I was just hanging up my udderly delightful visit with The Posse in Manchester England...and getting ready to embark upon one of the strangest weeks of my life (so far)...a cup-busting, strap-stretching experience at the ~~DP Concentration Camp~~ beautiful Papersurferville Estate in Southern England...and judging by the pieces of grit and gravel I am STILL finding lodged in my delicate fibers, 'twas an ordeal from which I might not EVER recover!...not to mention my eyeballs!!!!...but...THAT is another story...so please stay tuned! (Phew!)

Today my visit with my fabulous 70's Chaperon came to an end, and The Posse turned out in full force to say goodbye!

Have you ever seen a more beautiful assemblage of support before?!

An especially touching moment came when Michelle (the leader of The Posse) presented me with some souvenirs...then reached out and taught me the Secret Posse Handshake as the rest of The Gang sang

"~~Hands~~ Bras Across the Water!" *sniff-sniff*

Then, much to my utter astonishment...ALL of the goddesses appeared to wish me well as I embark upon my next exciting adventure!

(I hear I'm going to visit Daddy Papersurfer.)

As I was leaving, I heard them all chanting....an ancient spell...
something about....I'm not sure....but I think it was "Good Luck."Apparently they think I'm gonna need it?!?

Double-Dippin' With The Mayor

Yes, I'm reachin' back into the archives and reposting what I was doing exactly one year ago today...I think it's adventure worth repeating 'cuz it's not often I get to rub shoulders with The Mayor!

OK, well...not really. Actually, he's pretty much your Average Joe...but we've nicknamed him "The Mayor" because he seems to know EVERYONE in town (and visa versa)...just walking a few blocks down the street to go to dinner with him took us about 2 hours because we had to stop, chit-chat and hob-nob with every other person along the way! (I totally loved it.) Plus, he's quite charming...and took excellent care of me and my Chaperons whilst in Petaluma. He'd certainly get MY vote if he ran for Mayor. (And if bras could vote.)

He recently restored this old drinking fountain to working order

in downtown Petaluma. (Ain't it purty?)

Not that I have an alcohol problem or anything,

but I found the following information very interesting...

This concrete drinking fountain was erected in 1891 by the Women's Christian Temperance Union – an organization dedicated to banning the sale and drinking of alcohol. The members were urged to erect drinking fountains in their towns so that men could get a drink of water without entering saloons and staying for stronger drinks.

*No wonder it stopped working YEARS ago!!

Looking pretty good for being so old... And it works like a charm!

Today is (finally!) one of my bestest blogging buddy's birthdays!

HAPPY (forty-something'th) BIRTHDAY SPEEDCAT HOLLYDALE!

I had the good fortune of hangin' around Speedy in Minnesota last year. Having never been Chaperoned by a man before, I was a little nervous...but from the moment I laid straps on him, I could tell Speedy was nuthin' but a great big ol' friendly pussycat!...PLUS, not only is he a prolifical blogger, prize winning author, PhD genious (of modern medicine AND html stuff,) famous golf pro, chicken connoisseur, sherriff, blacksmith, and a whole bunch more stuff I can't remember.......He even lined my cups with plastic wrap before using me as a donut launcher!

I mean, really - how many guys can you say THAT about?!?

Yes, Speedcat Hollydale is not only a perfect gentleman,

but a NICE GUY whom I'm proud to call my friend.
