The November Issue of The Blog Carnival of Christian Family Information Exchange!

Before I get in to the blog carnival allow me to appear as tho' I am talking in circles, until the end and you will then understand what and why I said things as I did.

Today as we post this November's Blog Carnival it is our three hundred's (300) blog post! When I look at that number it doesn't appear all that large to me. However when I think about all the time spent writing these blog posts the number seems way too low for the amount of effort put out! This got me thinking that we adults use numbers each and every day too often to denote worth and value. Over time we become callused and the meanings change without much notice at first.

I have a theory that negative, 'bad' or cuss words spoken often enough around us become a part of our own vocabulary. The cuss words like numbers become callused over time and can then be used to mean something just a bit different. Now you are more than free to disagree. However I offer this personal experience as proof, and no I'm not bragging in the least. Back before I got sick and stuck in this dopey wheelchair, I worked many long hours around some of the very best people in the car business. AND no not the 'used car business' like all the jokes of being a crooked or dishonest either! Seriously these were some of the best people I ever got to know. We were simply average, honest Christian men trying to make an honest living. However, we had the very negative habit of using the very worst slang, and low-down dirty-nasty language with complete ease. It could have, if it hadn't already, caused a sailor to blush, so to speak! Again I am not proud of this nor bragging, I mention this to make a point. Before I got into that business I didn't use nor had I ever heard most of those cuss words! And no, I am not or ever was nor ever will be, an angel! However, due to the exposure of being around it ten-twelve hours a day, six days a week, it quickly became a part of my vocabulary as well. Now understand just how powerful and lasting they become. I have been disabled for over ten years! I have been sick out of my mind, in and out of hospitals so very many times, however, still to this day, some ten years later, no matter how hard I try, those words still do pop out of my mouth at times today!

I feel that just like the way of talking developes over time with exposure, so to does our reaction to numbers. We have been bombarded lately by Congress with huge numbers! Now those folks are used to talking millions, billions and trillions, but us average joe blow's really don't have any clue as to how much a trillion is. Whenever there is, unfortunately a disaster, the T.V. reporters inform us of either hundreds or thousands of people who died. We have become, unwilling and unintentional though it may be, but still so callused to 'number of dead persons' just like cussing. We don't even pay close attention until the reporters begin saying thousands of dead. Remember back to that terrible tidal wave/tsunami that killed over two hundred thousand (200,000) people? How many of us took note and the quickly continued with whatever we were doing? If the reporter would of said that enough people died to fill three or four football stadiums to the brim, maybe then we would have gotten weak in the knees and prayed for the victims and their families right then and there! I may be wrong, however I do want you to know that I know full well that We don't do this willingly, we aren't bad, uncaring people. We have just allowed our environment(s) to callus us to certain numbers in certain situations. What about the millions that were killed during the middle ages by the black plague? See I don't believe that us people don't care any longer. I think that we have heard numbers too often so then it doesn't sound all that bad if only three or four got killed last night in a fight somewhere.

Just like any good politician, we can spin and twist the numbers to mean just about anything. The purpose for bring this subject up was to remind you to not become callused by hearing the big numbers. When the reporters say we are only at a bit over ten-percent unemployment and that means that over ninety percent are working, you say wait! Wait a moment, and break the numbers down so that they mean something to you. Yes, ninety percent are employed, however change the other percentage to a concrete number, sixteen million are unemployed! I am not sure if it ever is done purposely to decieve, I rather think that it is just exposure and that we need to be aware of it to not get lost in the shuffle of a masterful, convoluted number user.

Lastly, because things are bad for such a large number of people, we need to pray. Simple old-fashioned prayer! We need to pray harder than we ever have! Why? because if things continue as they are, we all will be in terrible trouble for real and we won't need any masterful, convoluted number user to inform us of how good or bad we are. Simply stated, we all will be in very bad shape. Let's not think of that, let us put our minds on Jesus, our Savior and the one who takes our prayers to God the Father. Remember, 'if God is for us; who could be against us-NO ONE'! I am asking you to pray, not out of fear, but rather because 'things' are going to need the expertise of the Creator of the universe to get things straightened out! Before you pray, think of this first to help put things in proper perspective for you. That huge number-sixteen million unemployed is really even larger than that! Each and every one of those sixteen-million persons have a spouse, children, parents, cousins and friends! Or some combination there-of. Now see that six-teen million with those family and friends added to it and that is a colossal number of sad and hurting folks, who need prayer right now more than anything else! Please pray for an end to all this as soon as possible. Don't get callused by the over use and reporting of numbers. Six-teen million is a bunch no matter how you slice or dice it. Don't allow our politicans to get lost in all the arguements, we need them to help, and hekp right now! There will be time for arguing and showboating later! I pray that something changes right away and I pray that you and your family are comfortable and doing better than the rest! God bless and please pray!

The Evil 'Otherside' Wants Us Divided Over 'The Grab For Candy'!

When we were kids, this was one of our most favorite times of the year! Candy on top candy until our stomachs turned to sugar. Everyone had candy galore, and it was for us-the kids! Wow talk about some fond memories. Unfortunately, today the fun of the season has been over-shadowed by the 'otherside'. You know the 'otherside', the real devil, demons, witchs, ghosts and so on. Now a days we make it well know that Halloween is the witches/wiccan 'new year' and the fact that those few 'satanist' out there somewhere, do actually do evil black magic on Halloween because the next day is the Holy day called All Saints day and the Commemoration of Martyrs as well as Reformation day for Protestants! The day after has always been a Holy day, I just think we didn't give what the 'otherside' was doing much bother in days past.

Today we as Christians are divided and that is worst than anything else. We are the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ, the King of Kings. Because of all He did for us and because He knew we couldn't do anything by ourselves, except to try and fail. We are a Royal and Holy people because of all Jesus overcame and defeated for us. So why are we divided? It may just be what the evil 'otherside' would want don't you think?

Shhh, Let me remind you of a few things that will truly empower you-Okay?

First, the devil, Satan, Lucifer, Beelzebub, The Prince of Darkness or any other name he goes by, is not, was not and never will be a God! He doesn't want you to remember that, because then many will give into him out of fear. Satan was a fallen angel, simple as that. We on the otherhand have been made fellow-heirs of the eternal kingdom of Jesus Christ, The true King of Kings! Much more in rank than any angel. Jesus is our brother and the God of the Old Testament, The Great I Am, has become our loving Heavenly Father! Again, much more in rank than any angel! Satan has already been defeated by Jesus and so has death. Satan is now just like a hooked and caught fish out of water, he is hooked by the mouth and will not and can not free himself ever. Oh yes he, like a caught fish, can wiggle in a last attempt to free himself, however we know and he knows, it's over so go ahead and give it one big wiggle, who cares! Don't forget this major point of rank. Don't also forget that the devil has been defeated by Jesus already, because when we do forget, we can become fearful and subject to being abused and led into serious decapitating fear by the evil 'otherside'.

Now before you go off all puffed up with royal pride, we did not, could not, and never would have been able to achieve our new state in Christ Jesus. Jesus had to come to earth, be a human, live a perfect life that we are suppose to. Then Jesus suffered and died the death we sinner should have, and paid the penalty of all sin forever. Last but not least, Jesus after death went and declared victory over the devil and all demon want-ta-be's in hell and then overcame, defeated, and abolished death forever by rising back to life again in His Human Body and Soul on the third day. Sound familar? I hope so, don't allow your children to forget this either. It's all been paid for and freely given to us by our Saviour Jesus Christ. There is nothing above us or below us to fear-ever!

God our Father has always reminded us that He didn't make us with one ounce of fear within us! So why then do we fear so often? Because we constantly have 'old big mouth', the devil trying to frighten us with nothing more than smoke, mirrors and Pay-Per-View horror films with blood and guts, pea soup and spooky situations. Our fear comes not from within us but rather from outside of us, and of coarse from the evil 'otherside'. We give in to fear and then act cowardly, and all it does is puff up Satan's fleeting ego. Remember this one? If God the Almighty Creator of the entire Universe and of all things seen and unseen, is for us, who could be aganist us that should cause us any worry? No one-no how!

Now then, is it okay to cuddle up with a soft throw with friends and a bowl of popcorn and be temporarily frightened by a dopey spooky movie? Sure why not, it's fun as long as we remember that in the 'REAL' world we need not carry that fear around with us for any longer than a fleeting cold October moment. Don't allow 'make believe' to become real in anyway by dwelling on it. Just keep reminding each other that we need not fear anything should be enough to keep us thinking correctly. Don't forget that this point also means the same the entire year-long. 'Oh the economy is this and that', 'this group and that group are having these troubles', what do we first do? You guessed it, allowed it to cause us fear rather than to trust in our Heavenly Father, His only Son our Lord the Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life and The Comforter of Christians!

Now back to the reason we Christians have become divided at this time of year. Some say that because we as a Holy, royally chosen heir's of eternal life in paradise/heaven, we should not ever reduce ourselves to playing with any thing that looks like the occult or actually is of occultic practices. We are so far above those practises that we shouldn't make a fool of ourselves and mess with any of it-ever! God our Father is really insulted when His children mess with the occult. So yes, we are to never mess with any occultic practises-ever! Now one side of the divide uses this last sentence as a reason to purposely avoid and refrain from all of the secular festivities of Halloween all together. That is okay and good, and those who believe that way should do as they believe. However, they need to warn each other in Christian love, that they need not puff up their egos as if they have some inside information and are therefore more holy than the other-side that does celebrate the time of year.

Now because we should truly avoid anything occultic the other side that does celebrate this fun secular time for the kids needs to remind each other, in Christian love, that we should not dress our children up to look like they belong to the evil otherside. The devil, demons, ghosts, witches and so on should be left aside for any Christian children. We should dress our kids up as sports heroes, Biblical characters, angels and/or other current cartoon characters. This way we aren't bowing down to any occultic practise or to the evil otherside but rather just having fun dressing up and having fun time together with our families as we do the 'grab for candy'. We also need not forget to educate our children the reasons why we do as we do, as we do it so that they too can give witness if called upon to do so. Lastly, this group needs to remind themselves in Christian love to respect those Christians that choose to not partake in the holiday and need not call them names or make them feel alone and isolated. After all we Christians are truly one body in our Lord Jesus Christ and there should be nothing that divides us-ever!

If we Christians would do as above, just one time, we would never be divided again, in anything. If we Christians would learn that a part of us can abstain from 'things' that cause them uncomfortableness as well as anything occultic; as another group of us allows the secular fun of the time of year for their kids without bending down to anything occultic as well, everything and everyone will be great! We could than all celebrate the holy day after the secular 'grab for candy' as truly one body in spirit and mind without any sore feelings in need of patching up! God bless and be sure to practise as you believe this halloween. Either way you believe don't alow the evil otherside to cause a divide among us Christians especially over the dopey fun time of 'The Grab For Candy'.

The Difference Of Words!

I hope you all are still fighting the good fight and doing all you can for others in worst need than we. The problem today, is that there is way more needy and less and less of us being able to help. Regardless, we must do our best and if we do, God will bless us and our aid to others. I have never read a story in the Bible about someone doing all they could but it wasn't good enough and the effort wasn't pleasing to God. No, only when we are able but don't or don't help as much as we could, has God ever gotten angry. Additionally, He never said that we had to help until it put our family in the poor house either! God knows what we have and what we do for others because it all starts with Him in the first place.

We have been complaining around the office here that there are so many in need and due to the fact that we can't do anymore! However, we continued to complain until someone sets us straight and reminded us, mainly me, of the points above and that is why I am writing about this to you.

Now just in case some of you have been so very busy that you haven't noticed all the need around us, as well as for those of you who are so very blessed by God our Father and are still employed, have a roof over your family's head every night after a nice hot meal; we wish to remind you that nearly ten percent of the entire population of the United States can't say the very same any longer! In some regions we are talking nearly entire towns and small cities in the same needy condition. Last time things were this bleak 'they' called it 'The Great Depression'! As to how, when and where this is all going to stop, nobody knows. That is why I keep reminding you folks to first, offer whatever physical help you can and then offer them spiritual assistance and prayers as well. I can almost hear some voices out there saying, 'that nice, flowery, Biblical words of comfort don't feed the people or put a roof over their heads'! Yes, that it is true, however the other side of that statements is that when 'things' are so very bad for another we most times almost feel weird offering words of comfort from the Bible along with our physical assistance. As to the prayers for the many in need, unfortunately I too forget or end up adding a quick blurb to my regular prayers. I should know better and I really think that the times are so bad and in more need than for just a quick blurb! I seriously believe that we need a 'Day of Prayer' across our nation! Will we have one, most likely not, and that is why we need to pray more and more often for an end to all of this mess.

Now as to who or how much assistance one should or could give another; I cling to the words of the unforgetable Sergeant-of-the-guard, Schultz from Hogan's Heroe's the 1960's sicom, 'I know nothing'! It is between you and God. No one should tell you what and/or how you should be of service to others. All I ever recommended is to be of service somehow, and in some way. If physical cash is tight, as with most of us, then offer food supplies. We have a 'in service-charity' e-book in the works, however it won't be of any assistance this troubled time around, prayfully so! However, from the upcoming e-book we will detail the making of a 'ton' of hot soup and bread, and this is relatively inexpensive, however it can help so many people!

Some of the Churches in different regions have begun to open the doors to their 'Worship Halls' for people to get in out of the elements, and only if a few members would make a bunch of hot soup and bread to hand out. Do you realize just how cheap it is to hand someone a bowl of soup and a couple of slices of bread? Almost pennies per person! Now again from the upcoming e-book, and for those who don't have the time or don't know how to go about and make soup and bread, we have this solution for you. Go to your local big grocery store or to one of those warehouse grocery stores and talk to the store manager. Quickly fill them in on what you are trying to do and just how they could help you to help another. You won't believe with a little help from the store, just how many people you will be able to help. The bigger stores will first instruct their bakeries to begin making basic french or italian loafs of bread. Secondly, they will ask you if you have a way to transport all this assistance, if so they will sell you those 'cup a noodles' soup with ramen noodles in either beef or chicken for twenty-five cents to thirty-cents per person per cup of soup! All you will need to have is a way to boil a lot of water and ladle it into the cups of dry soup. Then when you ask about the cost of the bread, if you have means to transport all of this, most will say you can either have however many loaf you need for either FREE or for less than forty-cents a large loaf! They will do this as their means of helping the community. If however you need them to deliver all of it to a church or wherever they will do the transporting and delivery for free and just charge a small amount for the bread.

Okay so you can now offer a needy/cold person either hot beef or chicken soup with a couple of slices of fresh bread for less than seven-five cents a person! We can not and will not allow another to go hungry and sleeping out in the cold! We have so many means of helping people today that were never available before, and it won't take a lot of cash to do so. Either way, homemade or store bought hot soup and bread to a cold needy person is a truly big help in their eyes!

Lastly, I want to take a moment and tell you about words of comfort for those in need as well as the physical help. You could go to the stores and work out a deal on a bunch of cards with inspiration, You could then hand them out to the people as they come for your soup and bread. This would be nice and it could cheer up a few people. Howver to truly help people you need the power of the Creator! Ask yourselve how God comforts you when you are down. God comforts, us with means to a Bible, with His living, breathing words on the pages of the Bible. First the words of comfort within the Bible are not just 'flowery words' of nothing, they truly are the Creator of the universe's living breathing words upon those pages! There is a big difference between God's living words and man's words. There is nothing wrong with either, in their proper place and time, I am simply pointing out the difference and which have real power! God's words not only tell you ABOUT COMFORT, IT ACTUALLY 'WORKS' COMFORT WITHIN YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE LIVING AND BREATHING WORDS OF THE CREATOR! See this is the difference between between the very instructions on the outside of a bottle of perscription medicine that tell you how you can get better, compared to the actual medicine inside the bottle you are holding! Can you now see the difference and the reason I say to not forget this one simple step in our assistance of others? Now I am no great prophet who came up with this difference on my own. No, the living, breathing word of God reminded me, specifically, in 1 Thessalonians 2:13. "And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received from us the WORD of God's message you accepted it not as the words of men, but for what it really is, THE WORD OF GOD, which also PERFORMS its work in you who believe" NASB emphases added by us. Now I hope you truly can see the difference and will use the most powerful words of the Creator of the universe upon another in need of His assistance immediately!

Yes it is very true that God's words can't fill a belly, or provide a roof over a families head. God is hoping and counting on you and me to somehow, and in someway provide those 'things'; as He begins to work deep within those in need to turn their lives around completely! Talk about a thorough helping of help! I hope and I pray that this letter to you first, offers to you all that is needed to make your live complete and balanced. Secondly, I hope it gives you the idea needed to begin the long string of ideas that will not only provide complete assistance temporarily but also completely in fixing whatever is broken and needs to get us back to the 'good times' with a much better understanding of how things really work for those 'Who Love The Lord'! God bless and thank you for all you will do to help others, and I give you a 'thank you' for the one's that should of come from the one's in need but didn't and won't, because of false human pride.

All of us at OLIN hope you and your families are doing good. We do understand that there is a wide range of current living standards, that delineate what 'doing good' actually means. Just a year ago we wouldn't have imagined we would be as we now are. The good side of this story is that we as a people are truly ingenious and able to make the very best out of whatever comes our way!

Sometimes all there is for us to do, even at the bleakest of times, is to keep our faith and to pray! At times I seriously can't imagine dealing with all of this without my faith. Needless to say, we all will get through these times and will live to look back upon them as a 'tough time' but we were tougher, once again! We must remind each other that when 'things' get rough, we are rougher and more durable as a people and will rise to the top again very soon, to the amazement of our critics and the rest of the world! It is this one trait, that makes us who we are. There are tough people in all parts of the world. However, we as a people are tougher and more tenacious together as a force for the betterment of us all and we don't accept second place-Ever!

There are, amongst many hurting families, trends and signs that things have begun to point to a return back to better times. We all know, not because I say so, but rather because it is the standard and simple truth, that good times always follow bad times. We have always seemed to be tough enough together, to make it through past 'hard times' and so we will as well, make it and make it better for all because of our formidability!

Lastly, I truly believe in the 'Power of Prayer'! We all need to first, believe firmly, and then pray for our Country, Government, all of it's leaders from our local county officers all the way up to our President, that they rise up and do their very best for the good of ALL of us and not just for a few lucky ones. God has always seen to it that we learn to develop the traits and skills necessary, out of the struggle, to get back on our feet once again. And so we will again, not only for ourselves but also so that, ALL of our children can have a much better tomorrow and a better fighting chance in whatever 'tough times' that may come their way someday!

Regardless of the situation and/or level of 'badness', children still need books and textbooks to further their learning. Local Family Businesses Need Your Creativity!And Support

I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful fall days we have been having. Every part of our country has amazing displays for us. Some are a bit more lively and colorful while others are more magnificent. I was spending some time with my daughter as she was bouncing all over taking pictures for different projects and so on. Those types of moments usually bring up past good times or funny events together and so on. She began asking why we didn't do X any longer and I had to remind her that yes, being in a wheelchair is easier than walking with legbraces and walkers, but there still are places you just can't go and you don't push it. No one wants to make a giant commotion trying to get into places that they didn't really need to. However as these type of conversations go, she then moved the conversation to what I thought things were going to be like after this recession.

She and I have been debating different actions for various reuslts just a few days ago and so she must of thought of something to add because she moved the conversion back around to what we had been noticing in our neighborhood; a lot of small businesses were going out of business and empty store fronts and shops tend to look cheap when boarded up. Whenever we drive anywhere anymore, here in Denver, we now see two to three times the number of people holding signs asking for some sort of help. If we allowed ourselves to dwell on the subject for too long, it could get scary, real scary.

So we closed our conversation with some plans to do this and that in our neighborhood. However, the point of this post was just to remind each of you to somehow, in someway to continue supporting your local businesses and family run stores. The big companies can weather most storms, but us little guys must 'pack it in' when things get to lean.

Each of us must do whatever we can to keep the small businesses runing. Why? Because we all know that things will turn around soon. If we enjoy all the little shops and restaurants in our neighborhood, we must help keep them in bussiness so that they will be there when things return to normal. Some neighborhoods took years to finally get those wonderful family run restaurants that perfume the evening air with today's special! Unfortunately, when they go out of business they take a long time, again, before they return.

Small businesses, family operated grocery stores and shops, the corner bar and grill and theme type of restaurants and pizzerias, as well as our neighborhood Churches all need us to help keep them running during these slow times so that they will be there to enjoy when good times returns.

Talk with your neighbors and see why you all can't pitch in a smaller amount than what you would spend for your whole family, but because of several neighborhood families doing the same, it would be enough to have a special neighborhood night out and this will help support the local family business. Instead of supporting the large all in one mega-grocery stores, leave some money for the local stores. If you don't want to talk the extra time, send the kids. No it won't be enough if only you and I do these things, however, we as a neighborhood can and will make the difference and will be there to enjoy the fruits of our work when good times return. Doing a few of these simple things could actually speed up the time needed for good times to return locally!

There are tons of stories that all talk about how neighborhoods worked together to keep local businesses running during the great depression and other hard times. The common theme is neighborhood support keeps their heads above water enough to help them stay in your neighborhood!

While the weather is still good, maybe you and some other neighbors could set up a meeting to have a small neighborhood street party with local businesses providing all the food and drink. Have the neighborhood teenage girls set-up face painting booths, have a neighborhood garage sale/auction, and then end the evening with everyone, all the adults and kids, doing some sort of funny act or entertainment! Talk about a inexpensive fun time! Four to six neighbor could afford and pull off this type of street party. Then at this street party, don't forget to send a couple of folks to go door to door and invite, freee of charge, everyone in the neighborhood to come down to the street party. Once there and once familar with their neighbors, talk about and see if they would consider chipping in for the 'neighborhood night out' at the local restaurant! You folks know how to do these things, you don't need some dopey guy in Denver telling you how! Just get supportive and claim ownership of your neighborhood and somehow, in someway make it work and keep local businesses in business until good times returns.

What Is a Christian Prayer Journal and What Are The Benefits To Having One?

The number one reason most people state when asked,' why do you keep a prayer journal', is because it helps them to 'feel' closer to God and it aids them in their daily walk with God. This response is more of the physical response the user's gain by keeping a journal. As to the actual specific of what a prayer journal is made of, it is a notebook or binder that contains your prayer requests, Bible study notes, historical sermons that explained details for you. Hymns and special verses that apply to a situation you are going through, daily confessions, goals, and revelations that God has shown you. As well as details over the last problem God helped you through. Written down specific goals and actions or activities that you are attempting to begin or attempting to not do. Written words of inspiration that come to you when reading the Bible or when in sacred meditation. In conclusion, a prayer journal documents actions and thoughts and can be as simple or fancy as it's owner wishes. Just as there are no set patterns to how God deals with each of us, therefore each prayer journal is very different, personal and almost 'a part of' it's owner.

On one side of the spectrum a prayer journal can be a simple pad of paper and pen kept on the bedroom nightstand. On the opposite end would be the kind that are becoming very popular as of late and it is this type that is available at OLIN'S. This entire, interdependent predesigned type is what I refer to several times throughout this article. Start with a basic three ring binder that has plastic sleeves for a artistic cover and matching spine. The cover and spine can either be hand-drawn art or a prepared design that is selected from a couple of styles available and then printed out on a printer and then inserted into the plastic sleeves, naturally the sky is the limit with this variety. Whenever there is more than one design to choose from it is then called an 'e-kit' and will have other choices for different uses as well. There are many reasons for a more elaboreate journal,however, it is much more important to at least first begin using a prayer journal and then modifying and adding to it as your needs become apparent. I will detail some of the differences and different uses at the end of this article to help give some insight as to the many many uses a prayer jounal can take.

Women are usually more comfortable, right from the start, using a prayer journal and usually have quite large and fancy journals. Men however, generally tend to be a bit more bashful and fearful that 'one-of-the-guys' might find their prayer journal and ridicule him. The idea that a prayer journal is like a diary is completely not true! The major reason for a prayer journal is much more lofty and important, and must be viewed as such if it is ever going to have the chance to help more Christians with their daily walk with God, especially men. It is generally accepted practice to begin each new prayer journal with a, 'statement of faith'. This can be straight from one's catechism with some personal elaborations, or the more desired method is a longer more insightful perception with personal statements and 'why's'.

What type of people use prayer journals?

Anyone who wants to master the use of prayer in their lives, wants and needs various tools to accomplish this. A prayer journal is the first tool for Christians to record thoughts, needs and prayers answered or not answered. The simple use of a prayer journal leads a Christian into a deeper, more enriched Christian life. Soon, those who just wanted to write down prayers and not spend a lot of time in their journal, start to become what I refer to as 'Practicing Christians'. The term Practicing Christian' means to me, one who takes their faith seriously and actively and 'works their faith' and prayer life. After all, I see the word 'Christianity' as much a 'verb' as it is a 'noun'. I gather this understanding from what Jesus often said about producing good 'fruits'. A practicing Christian reads their Bible daily and most often will write notes in the margins until they begin using a prayer journal. Time and reading ability dictates how much or for how long. The more time one spends in God's word, the more they will want to continue to be actively in Gods word!

Practicing Christians who read several Bible chapters a day will often state that regularly certain passages will 'jump-out' at them as a solutions or futher understanding to a situation at hand or prayed over. Holy scriptures as well as other insightful Christian literature rightly claim that without vision or a method of understanding the way through a situation, we tend to get lost and more confused!

Another beneficial and simple action that not only increases reading speed but also retention of the sacred meanings is to write down in one's prayer journal various words that are not familiar. Later, look up in several sources if possible, and write down in the prayer journal the meaning and usage of these unfamiliar words. Writing down the original language word and it's regional or cultural meaning, bestows much insight and in-depth understanding of even the most obscure sacred Scripture.

Once one has used a prayer journal for a while, they will find it enlightening to go back and re-read old prayer journals and compare the beliefs and understandings from that time until now. This is revealing, priceless and most enjoyable. Much wisdom and insightfulness is able to be studied, shared and pondered upon for any current similarities to offer assistance to. Soon it becomes increasingly obvious that those who claim that 'God doesn't answer prayers', are the very ones, most times, without a prayer journal and an 'active prayer life' or they are simply a 'Christian' the noun usage not the verb useage!

One of the most special and detailed area in most prayer journals are the pages of names of people and their prayer intention that they asked others to pray for them. If it is to be reported than it must be as detailed as possible. History, mental state and detailed condition and/or intention to pray for. Try to keep in-touch with these people to inquire at a later date as to the results of their prayer request. Uninvolved or 'third-parties' can usually see much insightfulness, simply because of not being 'too close' to the situation. This can also be applied to personal prayers you ask God. How many times, how different ways and how did things turn out with whatever answer you feel you received?

One of the more important reasons to have a prayer journal is that you'll develop a more intimate relationship with God! Why? Have you ever written a love letter? There is something about putting your feelings down on paper that makes them more real to you. The same is true in your relationship with God. When you take time out to just sit down and focus on Him and His glory, the reality of who He is to you, expands and because it is so, you will want to do this on a regular basis. This action can be called many different things but more often it is simply sacred prayer and meditaion. God says,"be still, and know I am God". People who do this can tell you of many insights and help they have received from doing so.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.-Ephesians 6:18 (NLT) Keeping a Christian prayer journal helps you to do this in many ways.

Next, I don't think anyone has a exact number, however, of those who people who start a prayer journal and work their prayer journal, most (80-90%) stay with it, and taunt it's benefits to others. For as much of a help you can be to another, you can also be for yourself. No one ever starts using a prayer journal with intent of using it only once of twice a year! We all, want to receive more of God's wisdom and mercy. God our Father has asked us to be active and to remain active (verb usage) in our prayer life with Him. He says, 'ask me as you would ask your earthly father' for what you feel you need. He has made it known to us that He has many wonderful things in store for us, we dont always receive as much as we could and as much as He wishes, because we simply did not ask!

He's Coming To Town And It Ain't Santa!

Have you ever noticed that bickering, irritating annoyances, eye rolling along with all of the special ways we have of annoying each other all tend to surface when, money is at it's lowest and our need is at it's highest? When you should be enjoying a special family holiday moment;however, you are imaging just how your spouse would rather look with dinner in his lap, you know he may be near! When the anticipated emotions of the holiday season become the complete opposite because of bickering over the littlest of insignificant details that matters to no one; know that the time of year is rapidly approaching 'his time of year'. When these and many other emotions and petty arguments become the forefront of most every comment or question, to the point of even embarrassing you; then know that just as you mouth the words to the holiday song, 'he's coming to town', it must be the holiday season again and we aren't talking about Santa coming, but rather it's Satan and his host of misfits!

Why? Many of thinker has thought, 'why does this happen during the holidays' to most 'normal' families. However, the simple reason evades most, because it is so very simple. The answer to the question is because a Christian family is the model of the relationship we are to have with God. So no wonder Satan and all his flunkies are constantly at work trying to destroy our Christian families to mock God! And at what better time of year to mock our God? Of coarse the sacred holiday time of year! However, we need to see Satan's attacks as nothing more than his LAST hoorah before he must except without a doubt, his total defeat Jesus has given him! We don't have to play ball with him or dance to his tune! Don't forget the reasons and end up thinking you must continue this mockery each and every year in the exact same way. No, the battle is over, the war has been won, the victory party is yet to come-but soon it will come! Jesus has won and Satan has lost! Try to be conscience of these points during the next weeks and months as we all will find ourselves trying to do our very best to have a wonderful holiday season; just with a lot less money than we normally would have! So remember the holidays brings on the proper mental and emotional stress and the lack of money along with Satan's hijinks just make it all the more truly insufferable and memorable!

The playing field this year as in all years will be the miserable economic conditions, that are just as worst as they could ever be for most of you. Still don't allow Satan to entice you to 'play' on his 'field of mockery'. Remind your family that when times are their hardest, when 'holiday tempers' flare easily, when the amount on the price tag on a gift is more important than the gift itself, it isn't time to buckle under! No, simply know the 'WHY' and the 'the living truth' and you will find the most comfortable of ways out of the muck and will have a wonderful family holiday.

One more thing each and every member of the family must know, and must be reminded of often. Just one word can send Satan running and whimpering like a kicked puppy; and that one word is Jesus! Because Jesus beat sin and death with his suffering, dieing and rising from the dead, all we must do is use His holy name, out loud or within, to chase Satan and anything to do with Satan away!

So I think we Christians should just come out and admit it first hand for our benefits. This holiday season is going to be much more difficult, because of less money and in some cases, with no money and no shelter! Prices will be higher because of increased costs and less items being sold. However, as a Christian family you can prepare your family to celebrate the sacred season, and not just a tree loaded with wrapped presents. The 'living truth of the holiday', and the sacred meaning is so much more important than any gift, belonging, a house or a fancy meal! Those secular 'things' or the lack of those 'things' can't change the 'living truth' of the sacred holiday and the very meaning it has to us all. The 'living meaning' is that our loving God, knowing of our sinning, came down and became just like one of us. He lived the life we are suppose to. He also died the death we should have because of our sinning, and He arose from the grave and defeated death for all of us! This means simply that each Christan is going to now live forever in paradise. That is the 'living truth'! Once one knows of this truth, nothing else can compares to immortality with a God who loves us! If we never get our family's too 'in' to all the secular parts of the holidays, they will understand and know the 'living truth'. Lastly, you parents need to find comfort in this following fact. No matter how bad times are, this is a special time of year that bad times can't over-shadow. The joy of the 'living truth' is so grand, that nothing can even come close! Any special times spent in activities of the season with loved ones, whatever family 'activity' you deem necessary, will always be the time that will create life-long, warm and cozy, holiday memories for your children. Try to make it a time of less 'loud talking' and bickering, and have fun with your family and make this the best holiday ever! Focus on what you have and what you have in the 'living truth'! Just as one or both parents can make it a time of pain and sadness, they can also turn things around the right way and make it the very best and special time possible.

Lastly, because you know Satan is coming to town to attempt to wreck your marriage and to destroy your children's sense of security and belonging; you can prepare your family and still have a special sacred celebration, that he can't stick his nose into!

Today in Denver the temperature hardly got above fifty-five degrees F! I guess it's trying to tell us that the holiday season is upon us - less than 100 days! Now that's a scary thought and I'm not talking about halloween either. Year after year lately, we have been telling our loved ones that this year is, "going to be a little light on the gift side". Now we have this year with all it's headline problems, unemployment and homelessness. I wonder what we should be saying about this year's holiday season. We didn't realize just how good things were in years past, compared to now. That statement make me feel very afraid and lonely as another having the same troubles with the holidays just around the corner. Do you want to know just how scary things have gotten? Things are so bad for this year that what's up with next year doesn't even matter to us anymore! We just need to make it through this year! That's how bad things have gotten for many many families this year.

As I started to roll around this and that, this emotion and that well deserved but ungiven expression of appreciation, I came up with a way for us to 'get us by', just for this year, for now! We all know its not the price tag that makes a gift valuable~right? So why do we always under-value and under-appreciate gifts, high in thoughtfulness and in the 'hand tailored skill's category', as they are in the 'low in cost column'? We all truly appreciate gifts that someone took time on and either hand made them themselves or were able to convey what was in mind to a craftsperson to craft it for them. With conditions as bleak as they are and will be for most the remainder of this holiday season for so many of us, we all need to return to a truly magical time, that existed once a-long-time ago, where thoughtfullness, concern and love for another was all there really was! It's truly within the 'season of giving' to not find the highest priced present possible but rather to come up with the most thoughtful, meaningful physical or acted out gift of love for another!

The very first Christmas wasn't about fancy clothes and all the expensive trimmings, but rather the ultimate gift of oneself completely emptying themself of any and all pride to become a defenseless little child, and to live a life that many others would categorized as, 'JUST a handy man'!

When we think of all our Savior did for us, we can only understand just a little of how big it really was for God to become a human child, to allow others to treat Him as a child, to have all the secrets of the universe at hand-first hand, yet to live a humble life of prayer and sacrifice for others; to then end it all as the lowly being in the hands of His creation, allowing for them to totally destroy Him, their Creator, as payment for their sin!

Many of us go around and will often convey some of this and that religious message to others, however, we can tend to leave them with a whole different story, based on how we act. This year we probably won't have that option, we will all have to live the true meaning, without being too overly low or depressed so others don't get mixed messages about our religion. This year with all those out of work, those who's hours have been cut, those who had other plans that now have been dashed, Those who won't have a shelter over their head, yes this year is the most worthy year for us to stand up and declare, and to declare as early as possible, this year is a 'no gift holiday' for me and my family! Just for clarity and no loss of the meaning, you will and we will be exchanging , homemade and low cost gifts to each other. Not the big ones that take all year to pay for. Nice hand made traditional Christmas gifts that some turn their nose up to because of being affordable!

I actually got an e-mail from a lady this week asking for more help with gift-giving an e-product (e-book set). I was all excited about the chance to explain some cool ideas, when she on the other hand was depressed and angry sounding. When I asked what the problem was, she said she was angry with her husband that she didn't have enough money this holiday to give a 'real' book and had to give an 'e-book' instead! Well, I guessed I shouldn't have asked if I didn't want to hear HER verison of the true. I'm sure you can see where she is headed this holiday season. However, it truly doesn't need to be this sad and oppressed feeling. If let's say this year we are going to return to the true spirit of Christmas and we are going to enjoy all of the season, even if we can't give great big gifts or physical gifts at all. Go ahead and declare that this year is a'no gift holiday', or a return to the more simplier religious meaning of the holidys. If we all began to declare it early enough, heck we wouldn't have anything to worry about this holiday! If we do it correctly and use it as a reason to explain the true meaning of Christmas, others won't even think of making us feel awkwardly, over a religious expression! Sure they will mumble to themselves, as they always do anyways, 'it must have been, some good sermon that really hit them hard this year'! They all will be laughing and saying something to the effect of what is listed above as the husband leans over and suggests, that they should attempt to do the same next year!

I believe its true, you can make a true return to a simpler 'real traditional christmas', just by declaring out loudly, 'no gifts this holiday for me and my family'! If you threw away all those pent-up, nastsy, inadequate feelings just this once, then you could go and spend time, with the kids, doing things, you've always complained of not having enough time for. Just think of all the wonderful hand made cards, crafts and gifts you will be able to exchange this year. I will bet you one thing for sure, you will value those, crafts and hand made gifts above any gold watch or diamond tennis bracelet! Just think of all the happiness and irreplaceable true holiday meaning you and your family would get out of the season if for once the 'gift' issue was canned right from the beginning!

I truly must admit, that I never intended this article to go in this direction, however it truly does make more sense, that this year, of all the years, be the 'no gift holiday'! It will be the most relaxed and welcomed holiday ever! Once all the dopey emotions are put aside, we can enjoy a 'REAL', homemade traditional Christmas, and begin to truly attempt to embrace all that our Savior did for us, starting a long time ago on that first Christmas morning!

Maybe, just maybe if enough of us declared proudly that this year is a 'no gift holiday', maybe we will start a wildfire of pent-up and released emotions just waiting for us to be so bold as to declare it before anyone else jumped in! No gift holiday' this year for me and my family!

More Free e-Text's For Homeschooling & Enrichment

Well you know I tend to make things more difficult for myself at times... Such as answering e-mails from homeschoolers needing these text's and then e-mailing the follow e-books out one-at-a-time. After I must have done five or six, it dawned on me, 'why not put them up at the blog and then just direct people there'. So... I do get the point eventually ~ I'm just slow somethimes!

Anyway, the following are good texts for your kids, whether you homeschool or not. We have many kids in parochial schools where their parents get certain e-text's from us to do enrichment studies. Some schools even give credit for certain enrichment studies! Check your school district and see if they give credit or not. Either way though, even without credit the knowledge is good to have and will help your student in so many ways. For example, speed reading and foreign languages. You may take one or all three of these,completely free of charge and without having to jump through any hoops and without disclosing any personal information! Just click on the title you want and it will begin downloading. These are the three choices, 1) Preschool Prayer Activity eBook. 2)Learn Basic Spanish. 3)The Speed Reading Course.

Lastly, to answer an e-mail I got today, and this person knows that I am answering her question here. The question was, 'why do you give out so many free e-books without getting an email address or name or anything, I'm sure your not but it makes me feel uncomfortable, like you must be up to something secret'! First, it sounds to me that this lady has been around the internet and e-information scene for awhile. OLIN does nothing secretly, we, our company and our products are all open and transparent for all to see. Yes, many other e-book companies do collect e-mail addresses by giving away freebies. Why? So they can repeatedly, make other offers to those e-mail addresses each day, week and/or month. Secondly, many other companies give out 'ad-books' where the information is minimal and the advertisment is abundant. This is in hope you click on one or more of the ads so that they get their .03-07cents per click or commission if you buy something. Then there are companies that will give you a really nice freebie, but they will only give you the e-book after you give them five or six of your friends e-mail addresses. It's 'No-Wallet' Friday's At OLIN'S Again!

Greeting all! I hope everyone is good good and enjoying these last days of summer. When people ask you what's the reason to continue to follow OLIN, you can tell they about 'No Wallet Friday's', as well as many other freebies! Additionally, you can honestly inform them first hand, that we do things just a bit differently! We don't use so-called 'squeeze pages', don't ask for ton's of personal information, don't ask you to disclose five (5+)or more friend's e-mail addreses, and overall we don't ask you to 'jump-through-hoops' just to take freely offerred freebies as so many other's do!

We at OLIN know that we don't do business to the so-called 'right' way and it may even cost us some sales in the end. However, we don't want to be like everyone else and drive our customers crazy! We would rather form lasting friendships with each of our customers/followers because that is much more important to us! OLIN Gifts Even More Christian e-Books & Bibles For Your Family Collection

Yes, we have been very busy. Yes, I haven't been feeling well. Yes, we have been in a big push to release a ton of new e-books. However it took several e-mails this week to let me know that I have dropped the ball, so to speak. I haven't offered the various Bible versions and supporting Christian e-books we have in OLIN'S master library. It may not sound like that big of a deal, however, one of the e-mails I received was from an old friend. This friend lives in a part of the world where it is illegal to have Christian materials. This friend is able to fool around and get passed the 'firewalls' some times and then downloads Christian materials from OLIN. He then distrubutes them to anyone who wants them, under the risk of being discovered by the authorities! Talk about feeling like a heel! This guy downloads these, translates them as best as he can, risks his life or maybe just imprisonment if 'they' are in a gracious mood, and all I had to do was to post them and couldn't even get that right, until now!

After that e-mail and several others I have been getting this post together and really want you all to have these in your family library. I don't feel right in charging for these types of e-books and so I will list them here for you to download each and every one, free of charge!

All I can ask of you is to keep OLIN in your prayers and to always make it a habit of asking us first if we have a specfic title or subject you are looking for. Most times we will have it even if it's not been listed or cataloged at the main site-don't be afraid to ask! This week we haven't sold as much as we have and will be offering for free. However, it really makes us feel good being able to be of help in all the little ways possible. So enjoy these with the kids, you will really like these. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer! Everyone around here is very busy working on the remainder of our 'summer of new releases' to get out before summer is over!

The Blog Carvinal of Christian Family Information Exchange-July Edition

Welcome to this July edition, the largest edition to date! Because this is the largest 'Blog Carnival', we will keep the other comments down to a minimum. We have been working very long and hard this sumer attempting to reach the new release goals we set last spring. We have been so very blessed by God in everyway with regards to this business, you our 'Twitter followers' and customers, and with this monthly blog carnival.

Our Director has put off whether we should go to bi-monthly carnvals until fall time. However, If the carnival continues to grow or even stays where it is at this point, it looks very likely that we will begin offering bi-monthly carnival starting sometime this fall! If you are enjoying these carnivals, please take a moment and either comment below the postings or drop us a note. Sometimes we wonder what all of you are thinking and we wish we could pick up the phone and ask but that's not possible, so we must go by the comments and the notes people send in. It isn't always a good indicator either but we hope we are doing as good as what some of our competitors claim and by what the over all tone of comments and e-mails are stating.

We hope you have or are planning to enjoy the abundance of new titles this 'summer of new releases' has produced! Our Director has been pushing very hard to create or publish all these new releases like never before. That brings up another point. We have been wondering if some of you are waiting for a certain title or for a particular subject to be written about? Please drop us a note and let us know so that we can work it in and also get it produced during this summer push.

Lastly, we want to re-state as a reminder for those who have been with us awhile as well as to serve as an introduction to all our new customers, our policies and GEAP program. Without beating the already deafening and depressing 'drum beat', however, we know that times are real hard now, for most of us this is the hardest times we have ever been in before. Despite the economic claims as well as the 'end is near' crowd, Roy our Director, hasn't repeated too very often that which is plain to see around us. We all at OLIN beleive that the more you talk in public about the hard times, the more fuel you give it!

However, we want you to know that if you need a certain title for your kids, for homeschool or simply enrichment, but find you are unable to afford the price, please drop us a note and let us know. In the note give us a few idea's of what would work for you and we will make it work- we promise. For the rest of you, if you find yourself unable to afford a title we offer, let us also know and do tell us what you could afford or trade or whatever! It is not only our Christian responsibility but also our way of giving back for all our blessings. So please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know how things are going, if you need us to remember you and yours in our prayers, and/or if you are wanting some OLIN product but are unable to afford it in whole or part. We can and will help each and every one that approaches and makes us aware of their need. Roy keeps reminding us daily that the only way out of the current situation(s) is though a lot of prayer and Christians helping Christians! So that also means that if you know of someone that needs help, please do what you can in Christian charity, and then let us know and together we will figure it out, one by one! Sometimes the only thing that will work is the power of prayer. And... That's fine with us, we will pray for each and every one who needs God's helping Hand until we can't talk no more! Don't overlook the power of prayer! That reminds us that our prayer room isn't being used as much as it should. If we need to do something to it to make it more 'workable', let us know. Anyway... The Ban-The Holiday-The Act-And The Gifts

Can you beleive that summer is half over already? Wow, is it just me or does time seemed to be moving much faster than ever before? I must be getting old, or something like that! :) Well anyways, I went and did my yearly duty to see if the corn harvest was on track or not. If the corn stalks are up to my knees than we are doing okay. Well, as for this year we are doing better than average! Isn't nice to hear simple, good news in light of all the 'other', we are being bombarded with lately?

Yes I have watched my favorite cable news channel and they did their duty and informed me of all the bad news of 10% unemployment meaning nearly 15 million people out of work who are still getting unemployment benefits! Add to that number almost another 6oo,ooo or so who are out of benefits and are still unemployed! Wow! If that doesn't 'burst your bubble' than nothing will!

As for me and my relatives we have made a serious pact that starting tonight at sundown, we won't talk about, mention or re-tell any bad news stories at ALL-until Monday morning! That includes people we know as well as the unfortunate ones listed above! Do you think it is a good idea to not be part of the news 're-telling' so that we all will have a good 'old fashioned' and very much in need of a great family holiday?

Some would say we were 'sticking our heads in the sand' and trying to avoid all the bad around us, to no avail! Well they may be right, however, I really believe that talking too much about all the bad things, feeling bad for another while you have no way to help and so on only keeps us all down and very depressed and therefore more prone to more bad news! We can't really do anything this fourth of July holiday to correct the problem anyway, and so keeping it light and full of fun especially for all the children makes sense to us! When these children are adults they will remember back to this holiday weekend, they will remember good fun things and not 'all the other'!

Lastly, maybe, just maybe I could convince all of you to join in with my family and put a ban on all the bad news with just one additional little twist. We Christians are told and re-told, over and over again that we should put all of our cares and problems at God's feet and allow Him to work them out for us! Most of us even believe that He can and will 'fix' things better than we could ever as we re-tell of all the negative stuff!

We mean no disrespect to anyone who is really struggling. However, we aren't going to be able to fix anything this week-end and so we have chosen this way instead. We understand that we all are truly just a few payday's away from homelessness! Things could get even worst for the rest of us! However, if we all place 'the ban', and 'turn it all', not jut the personal stuff, over to God and then purposely went out of our ways to have the very best fourth of July ever; just maybe come Monday things would be better! I believe it all could begin to turn around just as fast as it went bad. If God is allowed to do as He wishes we would all be very surprised at just how fast He can work!!

In closing I ask you all to follow us 'in the ban', first of all. Then seriously and intentionally, as a family, come before the Lord in prayer and say this prayer or something to its effect:

Lord God, Creator of everything seen and unseen. Lord of the heavenly host! God of our fathers. Father to our Saviour Jesus Christ. We as a family are purposely turning 'it all over' to you Lord! Everything and everyone, we now do as You have told us to do and place it all at your feet! Please Lord God almighty, somehow and in someway turn all of this mess around and make things 'more right' again for our family and for all famlies. Because Jesus became our bother to win our Salvation, you have become our Father. Father, please do as You wish and please make things safe and secure for all Your hurting families! We pray to You in Jesus' name because Jesus' told us that if we prayed to You in His name, while we believed in our hearts that it will be done, He said, that it will truly be done unto us! Of coarse Lord, never our will be done; but rather Your will be done and be done unto us your children who are hurting so badly! Thank you Lord God almighty, and please send your Holy Spirit to continue to build up of faith and to tear down our unbelief. Praise be to you the Triune God, Father Son and Holy Spirit, have mercy on us! Amen!

After praying and turning it all over to God, go and make this the best fouth of July ever! Make it one that the little ones will always remember! You know that 'money', having it or not doesn't make times fun or not! Be sure to call all of your family, including those you haven't seen in a long while and have everyone come over to your house, if possible, and for them to bring something small-whatever. A bunch of 'small' is a 'bunch' and usually enough anyway you dice it! I pray you and yours will be blessed and kept safe his holiday and I hope that you will be able to write to me and to report how things are turning or have turned around for you and your family! Belief is all we need with the one small and simple action of 'turning it all over to the Lord in prayer'! Welcome to this Blog Carnival of Christian Family Information Exchange-The June Edition! I really pray it brings a breath of fresh hope and life-giving air to all who do read! Well... Most all the schools are out for summer vaction. The lawns are green and growing at twice the normal rate, or it just seems so for the one who has to mow it. The temperature is raising as it should this time of year. So we could agree that over all, most everything is as it should be. OLIN workers have been working as hard as if it was Christimas time again! The number of projects and new releases are three times greater than ever before.I have put every available mind and body to publishing scheduled new releases as we are all still doing all our daily responsibilites as well! So again in our small world everything is as it should be and we hope and pray it is also with you and yours.

Yes all of us at OLIN are happy to be working so very hard instead of the alternative! Unfortunately, that's not the case for way too many families now-a-days! With all the negativity around us at every turn we need something that helps to keep us on track to achieving our goals and dreams. I told the staff about what I call the, 'one small and silly point'. When I share this with you below, it is not to undermine anyone or anything, it is only to help, not hurt.

Yes, there are milions of people without a job, groceries, or a hope of lasting happiness. For those unfortunate people they won't get any benefit out of hearing about the, 'one small and silly point'. People down and out don't need my 'rah rah', they need help and encouragement. Unfortunately the, 'one small and silly point' can't do that for them, only we can!

The 'one small and silly point' is easy to understand however it isn't being told or talked about. I would like this blog carnival to give you REAL help and hope to understand things in their proper light, the,'one small and silly point'. As a way of evading all the negativety around us, we need to constantly be mindful of the, 'one small and silly point'.

The 'one small and silly point' is simply this: Ninety (90) percentage of us are working, putting groceries on the table and paying bills! How and why we are in this group instead of the other, no one can really say, however, it does cause one to take things a bit futher once it is truly understood.

When one sees, in the proper light, that they are part of the ninety (90) percent, they begin to feel so very blessed and are moved to praise God for all their blessings and to thank God for His mercy and greatness! After saying that heartfelt prayer, this thought comes to mind. We really need to pray for all those without a job, without food, without a home without a hope and only a prayer, yours and my prayer, to rely on. If we all become mindful of the, 'one small and silly point', we can join together in our prayers for those in the ten percent category and there truly is power in numbers! Just maybe once we all realize the, 'one small and silly point' and begin to pray together for the jobless, homeless, for the strength of our country and a return of her wealth; just maybe it would happen completely and quickly! We beleive in the power of prayer as well as in the numbers praying! So... Why not? It never has been tried! Too many would rather continue to spread the bad news, negativity of the ten (10) percent category.

Would you make a pledge to yourself right now, right here to be mindful of the, 'one small and silly point' and tell everyone you meet and talk to, about it rather than the bad news of the ten (10) percent. Then if you would invite them to also join in a prayer for all those outlined above just maybe they would be moved enough by your sincerity to do so. When we are talking about power in numbers the more the better! Someday in someway we all will look back at this time. The, 'one small and silly point' reminds us that the ninety (90) percent of us will remember good things and the ten (10) percent will remember it was a bad time but all of a sudden when everyone stopped talking about all the bad, everything got better, and better than ever-real quickly!

We all will be able to tell our children how to do all this if it ever happens in their time. Additionally, we can say we were a part of the solution and not a part of spreading more negativity! No, you will tell them about the, 'one small and silly point' and how it led us to pray together and how everything didn't just return, everything got better than ever and fast!

Yes, I must admit that it all sounds a bit silly and childish. I could even say it has a fairy-tale rhythm to it. However if we truly believe in the power of prayer then that's not silly it's a real solution! We could continue to go on and continue as we have in the past. We could become the best bad news re-teller and chief negativist! We could go and sarcastically say, "I don't know why! I am just happy I am in the right category and to heck with everything and everyone else"! I don't think anyone would rather do that! Rather amazing the power of that dopey, 'one small and silly point'! Aren't you as ready as I am that everything and everyone get better, and get better than ever before? and better right now! Keep mindful of the, 'one small and silly point' and join your prayers with ours to create all that we could ever dream possible!

Remember it was the lusting after of just ONE forbidden 'item' that led mankind into sin and into this 'valley of tears'! Man had literally everything, however he wanted just the ONE thing he didn't have! Getting it, forcing it, led mankind into sin and into a life of pain, sadness and consequences. Because of this I say don't ever focus on the 'things' or 'thing' you don't have; rather focus on, revel, and give thanks to God for all the 'things' you do have! And always remember that true inner peace is only found when we allow God to give to us all that He wishes. Sometimes His wishes will entails change, don't resist the change. Rather embrace the moment and allow whatever to flow effortlessly unto you directly from God because He truly knows what is best for you now and in the next moment, and all your next moments!
