I'm Back!

I'm back and feeling good enough! While I was out I kept thinking about business, the economy and all the folks out of work and so on. When you're sick it is easy to get down and depressed! When I realized I was so very neagative I set out to have something to look up to! To make a long story short, I was able to come up with a few great, ways for someone to really make serious income! None of the following are well known, or any MLM or profit BS programs! They are real, often over looked ways to make a living. Additionally I looked for programs that would work regardless of the economy or any failing bank scandals!

If one sits back and examines things in 'their' world and their way of doing things the following make real sense and will continue to produce income regardless of the economy and unemployment numbers. Yes, I understand that in hard times we have to 're-invent' ourselves. It's eaiser said than done. However, I have a few below that would be easier to fit into and wouldn't be that far of a stretch re-inventing wise!

Now the first one isn't a way to make income but rather a way to hold your family together throughout all the stress and troubled times! Without family, who cares about income or future? Not me! A Quick Update

As many of you aready know, Roy is out trying to get a grip on his various health conditions and should be back to work next week. Unfortunately, with his conditions every down-turn in business seems to have direct affect on his health. With all the bad news and drop off of business he has continued to work as though we were in 'normal' times trying to keep everything a float. As you know we don't reduce our assistance to many other groups when our business drops off and continue to make up the differences 'elsewhere'. The increase stress does play a role in Roy's worsting conditions though. We understand that many of you are having serious financial difficulties and we will continue to pray for you and hope you do the same for us as a business and for Roy. There always is an end to everything, and we all await the end of this bad time in America's financial situation and a re-turn to more moderate times.

We thank you all for the words of encouragement sent on to Roy. He will write back to each of you within the coming weeks. If you have e-mailed Roy and haven't heard back from him, you should re-fresh his memory next week and he will then get back in touch with you soon after. Now, one thing you could do to help Roy's spirit and it will not cost anything is to re-sign-up to follow this blog. As you know, we had hundreds of followers at the old blog, unfortunately with the Google trouble we had to move to this one, however you know it wasn't our decision. Just Some Ramblings Before I Make My Point!

I had a conversation with another Christian that reminded me of one very important point. Just because I know something doesn't mean everyone knows it, as of yet! Too many times I assume that others know the correct answer(s) or ways things work just because I know about it, to some degree. Because I was again slapped in the face with this plainly obvious point once again, please allow me to ramble on about a few important points. It was a conversation on the following topic that I again made my fatal error in judgement.

So now then... the kids are back in school and summer is fast becoming a memory. Now the nighly news is full of only bad news and large segments of our fellow citizens hurting badly. There always seems to never be enough of the good things and times to go around and only an overabundant amounts of bad things! For an example, it is raining way too much over there, causing major floods and over here we are in a drought! Is it just a matter of perspective? I don't think so but I leave enough room for you to disagree. And now I really hate to mention this part however, the holidays aren't that far off, something like one hundred days or less! Time is a truly an important commodity, especially for those who choose to make their gifts for others! The good news in this is that lately, because of our current economy, and with so many folks seriously hurting, many families are considering donating funds to a major charities in another's name and then presenting that as their Christmas gift. I for one agree and think it is a wonderful gift idea. However, I am not suggesting that all of us Judeo-Christians do the very same gifting idea! All I do know that we all need to be doing is that we need to be praying more frequently for the return of prosperous times, and the return of a low, very low unemployment rate!

I am not one of those Christians that claim that if only our leaders would repent and make lasting changes to various legislation then everyting would be great again! That may be the case and point along with personal re-devotion however, I don't like sounding so very sanctimonious. I firmly believe that I for one, need to be much more concerned with my personal behavior and two, the ways of running my household before I begin pointing the finger at another. We have always had God's blessings as a nation, based on how the majority of folks chose to live and conduct their personal affairs. When we Judeo-Christians change ourselves, our behavior and ways of living, we are in fact changing the over-all attitude and actions of our nation, a little at a time. We need to see that we ourselves and our nation collectively are one in the very same and not separate entities. So rather than me pointing the finger at some large segment of the population, I will be concerned about my personal behavior and the behavior of those in my household. We may even go as far as to suggest that we Christians need to pray more, but I don't really consider that truly finger pointing, do you agree?

All I can truly hope for is God's blessings on me and my family based on how WE value and honor His Word. Another fatal flaw of mine that I must constantly remind myself of, is that just because 'this bad thing' happened to that family over there doesn't mean that it is or even has to happen to mine. So it is the same for all of us. I want to say it this way so that we do have concern and sympathy for others and don't turn a blind eye to them wondering what 'bad thing' they did to God! Bad things do truly happen to good folks without the blessing of our heavenly Father! However, just because He didn't intend for bad to happen, doesn't mean He won't use it to the betterment of another! However, sympathy and predictably are two separate emotions and actions. Because one feels sad for another doesn't mean that they wish to have the very same 'bad thing' happen to them in order to make the others feel better. Even if this were even possible to orchestrate!

So then as I wrap up, I am suggesting that we Christians need to repent more of our wrong doing, and to pray more. God our heavenly Father, and He only considers us His children when we respect His word and honor His wishes, always wants the very best for His children. God has told us to ask for good things in Jesus' name, believing we will receive them, and He then grants only the best for His children. He doesn't want His children hurting and feeling dreadful physically and emotionally! All we Christians must do is to get ourselves and our households in order and then ask for good things from a very loving heavenly Father and then wait patiently!

We as a whole, need to inform other Christians of the way 'things work'. So that they too could benefit from having a loving Father. I as I have said earlier, just assumed, and you know what that spells, that all Christians understood that their heavenly Father wished only for the very best for His children! If every Judeo-Christian, repented and re-worked their families and their behavior to God's wishes, our country as a whole would become blessed again just because we Judeo-Christians are the majority population! So rather then attempt to re-work the large 'whole' just stop and focus on each and every one of the whole for lasting beneficial change.

I am sorry it took me a while to get to the point that was in contention. However, I thought it best to give you the whole parts of the conversation and the over-all point that could prove to be the catalyst of the intended lasting global change starting with one simple family and it's changes.

Time To Get Back To 'Business' AND The TOO-Good Four!

We are back from our spontaneous, last of August get-a-way and are now ready to get back to business! Now that all the summer vacations are over and now that the kids are back in school it's time for us all to get back to what we do regularly. We hope you all are rested up and ready for the quickly approaching fall season and all it brings! A Personal Summer Prayer Ministry

The summer months are usually busy up until August then most folks settle down and get ready for 'back-to-school'time. We tend to get e-mails from folks who want to use the extra summer time for God in some way. We respond and list a bunch of activities they could do with the time, however, most folks usually settle down with the idea of starting a prayer ministry at home. Now, first it isn't all that lofty of an activity and it doesn't require special training and so on. All Christians pray, most pray several times a day. So what's the difference with starting a personal prayer ministry? When one begins a personal prayer ministry they tend to set aside a certain amount of time at specific times each day to pray for the well being of others. Many will 'adopt' a specific prayer target such as abortion or family violence. Unfortunately, there are far too many trouble areas that could use many extra prayers.

Another approach to beginning a prayer ministry is to take prayer requests from Christians via your church, website or even a small ad in a local newspaper. Regardless, of which type of ministry you decide to begin, please do so with complete reverence and religious professionalism. Any small mistake can become a major point of contention and a stumbling stone for weaker spiritually mature persons. When another asks you to pray for them for a specific reason, you had better pray for them when you say you will! It is expected by people who ask others to pray for them, that a consorted effort of more than just a brief rambling mention at next meal time prayer. No I am not saying that your prayers need be long and complex. Your prayer needs to be serious, directed and asked with an intended result in mind. If you don't agree with the person asking for prayer, tell them and tell them straight up, that you will not pray for them under those conditions or whatever the reason may be.

Many people who begin a prayer ministry at home find it much easier to be organized and well prepared. Many people purchase professional prayer journals, some crafty types will even make their own. Again, there is no writen rule that you must first have a prayer journal and secondly that you must spent a lot of money on one! Many professional prayer journals will come with helping tools such as little printable prayer cards that say, "I will be/or I did pray(ing) for you and your intention at 3:30 Friday, please join with me in prayer at that time". Religious index cards that you can carry with you to write down specifics of certain prayers and so on. Others will have scripture guides to direct people to specific passages that deal with their situation. Actual logs to tract what, when and for what reason you prayed and what the result was. Notecards and stationery as well as a prayer charts to pray for specific issues at specific times each day. This joins your prayers with thousands of others for real action in our world! However, if you are a less organized type of person, you certainly would not need or want these tools. Again, you don't need any tools because of any rule or law. Most people starting out enjoy having some structure to help get them going. Simply watching the evening news one night wil give you many idea's of what needs God prayer power! For those of you who seem to organize others to you to assist you, will find activites such as pot-luck lunchs and knitting/crocheting circle prayers great ways to have others join in with you to help our broken world. As with most events, the more the better, especially when we join together with others in agreement with us in prayer! Lastly, as I said before, there is no written or unwritten rules of what must be said, done, used, or constructed to begin a prayer ministry. Mixed couples or all ladies will work great! Don't be an obstacle for God's power of prayer, rather be a conduit!

If for some reason starting a prayer ministry doesn't feel right for you, it is okay! There are many area's that you can put your skils to help God's kingdom! If you have run out of idea's, you may email us and/or you could ask your Pastor/Priest for direction. As with most things, when we have a little extra time, God is testing to see if we wish to put it to His good use! The fall is coming just around-the-corner. Looking For Reviewers of A New Christian Play!

Our Christian friend Leon Newton is in need of promotion for his new release play, titled 'The Price'. When asked what it is all about Leon would say, "it's about a millionaire who goes to hell and just thinks his paper work has been mixed up! 'The Price' talks about the role of God and Satan in a drinking and drug problems and why it is so very hard to break free. Finally, once understood, this information can help others gain more, true happiness in their life". Leon has been fortunate to have several churches and schools perform to his play! As with this type of media, it is very good when shared! Leon wrote this work with the intention of it being performed at schools and churches around the globe!

As with most reviews, if selected, you will receive a complimentary copy of the play to read entirely, asked to not share the writen script of the play with any others, ever. Then you will need to write a paragraph or so about your feelings about the play, the subject, the over all tone and emotions conveyed, and whether you liked or did not like the play and why. Once your reviews are submitted you are encouraged to discuss the over all theme(s) with others in a social media environment such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and others. The July Blog Carnival Of Christian Family Information Exchange!

Pardon me if I sound a bit under-the-weather or down, it is only because I have been fighting being in a deep 'funk' all week! Everyone gets down and has to fight off the 'funk', its not anything serious, usually. However, many of you know me personally and know about my daily struggle with my health. For those who don't know, I suffer from a chronic condition very similar to MS. Not to sound altruistic but it is a real pain to deal with and remain positive at all times! My recent 'funk' could be due to something with my health, but who knows, we'll wait and see! As long as can still sit in my wheelchair and type, we will be okay. But enough about me, if you have been reading my articles and blog posts for awhile now you know that I have repeatedly asked for all you Christians to pray a bit more and a bit harder for all the families hurting because of our economy. Now you don't need me giving you all the details of all that's wrong, it is painfully obvious for all to see! We Christians just need to pray and pray just a bit more often! It is about all anyone can do for real lasting improvement for all.

The reason I bring up the families in need, and the economy is because I have been feeling down and deep in the 'funk' because no matter how hard I pray, no matter how many others I get to pray more and harder, the problems seen to just continues to grow worst! It is as frustrating as this business has been lately! We have more good Christian titles than ever before. The prices on everything have been reduced and reduced, and than reduced just a bit more! We have started offering beautiful Holy Land gifts along with all the other Christian family gifts we offer here at our blog. However, as you might have already surmised, sales of everything are lacking a bit, to say the least! Now it's really no big deal if sales are down for OLIN, after all there are millions of families just getting by each day and that's truly much more important! Then top all of this off with our leaders not working to solve these problems! I'm already so very irrated that 'action' and 'solutions' are both on vacation and have been so for some time now! I already know that the month of August is vacation time for our leaders and nothing will get done then either. However, in my opinion it's been August for several months now don't you agree? If you ask me it's time for September!

As I sit here writing this, I just realized that as frustrating as no apparent help for hurting families, lack of sales and income and the lack of any positive action by our leaders, no wonder I am in a deep 'funk'! Maybe being in a 'funk' isn't that bad of a situation after all! Maybe we all should try being in a 'funk' just long enough for us to pray for more assistance and to explain to God just how frustrated we are and why! After all, who else is the true 'final solution' to everything? Our God Almighty right? Remember, He did simply just speak the whole world into existence! He can handle anything we dopey humans can mess up! Hey! Maybe we have just come up with a real reason for the 'funk' and why there is a need for more of us to be in one. God always is working things out to our benefit. However, He has always loved it when we come to Him and explain what the problems are and just how frustrated we are. However the real action seems to only take place when we move from the 'funk' to throwing our hands into the air and saying; "God, I'm done, I'm done, We can't fix it, only you can, so please do Lord'! You know, the overly dramatic way we humans have of saying 'we turn it all over to you Lord'! Why? Think about it for a moment. However a bit irreverent and dramatic, it is a frustrated statement of worship and total trust in the almighty! We humans go off in a million different directions and attempt to handle more than we are capable of. In our minds we can do 'it' all and when we find out just how wrong our thinking is and realise just how messed up things have gotten, then we call in the 'Big-guy' to fix it all up for us once again!

If just a bit more of us got into this 'funk' and then contiued to move into 'throwing our hands up in the air' (the dramatic other meaning of turning 'it' ALL over to God), then and only then could we expect to begin to see improvement in all the areas I have mentioned, except for one. Maybe, just maybe it takes a bigger 'funk' or a much bigger fit to get God to get our leaders working instead of golfing and campaigning! I'll take whatever, fixing He wants to do and will be more than satisfied when He does! Even a little is miles ahead of what we humans could do! So then if you where able to make any sense out of this rambling rave of a 'funk', I hope you will turn 'it' ALL over to God with me (dramatically or not) and once the majority of us do so, we will begin to see real improvements! Please continue praying harder and more often. I will do the same and until the next time we get together may God bless and protect you and yours!

The June Blog Carnival Of Christian Family Information Exchange

As I sat and thought about what I would write to you about today I remembered the carefree days of summer when I was a child. I hope you and your family are blessed and are also enjoying your summer break. Unfortunately, I hate to be a 'debbie downer' but when I look around at the conditon of 'things' for many, the times are very rough to say the least! I have watched the weekly announcement of first time unemployed benefits filers and I am amazed! I can't hardly believe that the number consistently is four hundred thousand plus each week! How is this possible? How come the number is always in the four hundred thousand range? Yes, there are reasons of seasons and weather however, in our great nation, with one of the largest economies and the finest, most educated, work force in the world, why can't a person find a way to put groceries on the table? I'm sorry to mention this however it is really taxing me lately. Allow me to vent a bit before we get on to your June Blog Carnival.

Why can't more people get financing for new businesses these days, and when will we stop using the same old rhetoric of "THEY are giving the top three percent a break instead of the lower income levels"? I get so very tired of hearing that argument. Because it makes the one saying it SEEM as though they care for the 'regular' people. In the fact, it is nothing more than a debate 'point-counter-point', talking point statements! We all are smart enough to listen to a politician and can tell where they get their campaign money to stay in office. Is it only me or do most politicians seem to care more about campaign funds then they do about honest, hard working people who can't find a decent job? When it comes down to eating or not eating, I care less about a politician's campaign funds! Like I said we are smart enough to know that those in favor of unions and who want bigger government regulating every facet of our life as well as those against giving businesses tax breaks are usually Democrats. Those in favor of giving tax breaks to the folks who do and could hire the majority of workers, as well as those who want smaller less intrusive government are usually Republican. Yes, this is rather general and not the case in every instance. However, it seems to me that there is far too much arguing and debating and not enough of getting down to business! After all you politicians need to understand that us 'regular' working people are tired of seeing you in your fancy, expensive suits sitting in air conditioned offices debating things that don't matter or that won't put more people to work!

I truly do not have the answer to our problems and by no means am I able to offer much to the discussion. I really am not mentioning this to appear clever or insightful. I am simply concerned, very concerned. All I do know is that there are far too many good, hard working people not being able to put food on the table, keep up with their bills and losing their dream homes because of government mismanagement and political finger pointing! If we were to take just one politician and have them live with one of these hurting families for just a month, things would be very different-quickly!

I too can 'spin' the facts as most television reporters and politicians. Here's my 'spin'. After all there is over ninety percent of Americans employed and paying their bills for the most part! Maybe the minority nine percent need to buck up and stop being so picky when it comes to finding work. Does it sound familiar? However, my spin is just as wrong and useless as everyone else's. That way of thinking doesn't solve anything and only serves to alienate others.

What we all need to do in my opinion is to stop arguing/debating and get down to helping our neighbors in need. You don't need me telling you exactly what to do, you already know and if you are like a large majority of folks, you are already helping! In our area, people are beginning to have entire extended families move in together and to pool their monies to better be able to get by. These families are also having others, neighbors, friends of friends over for dinner REGULARLY. Then many of our neighborhood churches are putting on meals two to three times a week! This is just the tip of the iceberg. I pointed these out to distinquish them from the people who 'toss' five bucks at another and think they are now part of the solution. If we ALL would do as the former groups, we would be in far better shape and able to weather these difficult times.

Times are very difficult, money is scarce, jobs are on the decline, however we can and will get pass these times TOGETHER to be able to tell our grandchildren about it! If we all helped just a bit more, if we did things in just a small and different way, many folks hurting would be helped. If you are blessed by God to be in the majority, first thank God then look around and see where and what you could do in small ways to help others. Once you do, look around a find other blessed people and motivate them in a nice way to do likewise. There isn't one person who can shoulder the entire burden of everyone hurnting at the moment! However, many shoulders can easily shoulder many others in neeed. We can and will only get pass these times together rather than separately.

Lastly, I want to remind you to be praying. Thank God for your blessngs as well as for your loved ones. Pray that you can be able to help as many 'others' as possible. Pray that God knocks some sense into our 'leaders' so that they begin to act as leaders and come up with solutions instead of more debating talking points! Pray with a contrite heart and ask God to return us back to a blessed nation under the condition that we help more and more people around the world after we have solved our problems at home. Pray to our God just as a small, innocent child asks their parent for an extra cookie. That may sound strange or comical, however, God is our loving Father and is so very pleased to be able to 'spoil' His children when they obey and respect His wishes!

All I can say on this issue is to please help as many as you can and then please pray for those seriously hurting and feeling as if they are trapped in 'limbo' and have no where to turn to. When a family losses their life-long, saved for and pampered dream home, as well as can't put dinner on the table tonight; it's easy for them to feel as though no one cares at all and they might as well just give up and give in! Please pray and please remind everyone around you to please pray. Why please pray? Why do I say it to you with so very much emotion? It's simple. We humans seem to only be able to mess things up on our own. When times get as out of control as they are, we need the big time help that only comes from God Almighty. With man there are limits to what we can do and to whom we can assist. However,ALL things are possible with God. When everything is completely hopeless in our eyes, God then steps in and shows us just how powerful He actually is and just how much He can do. After all, my money's on the 'Big Guy' who simply SPOKE this world into existence! That's pretty powerful if you ask me! Now that 'things' are so bad and so out of control for so many, now only God can step in and solve it. Until He does we need to be doing all we can to at least make a bad time more palatable until God does step in. Therefore, please pray and please pray often. May God bless us and our nation once again very soon!

I want to address serious situations affecting more and more people each and every day and new processes to rid ourselves of these problems/situations completely! It wasn't until recently that Christians had options to rid ourseves of these problems and so it became, 'situation normal' to deny and bury them! Yes, it's difficult to even discuss or read about these types of problems and most will even attempt to avoid the subject all together until it's a giant unslayable super monster needing professional attention! Take a moment and allow me to highlight the problem and then detail the new solution for today's Christian.

Are you tired of being over weight even when you watch what you eat and attempt to do without many of your favorites?

Unfortunately, I could go on and on to ad nauseam! There are literally thousands of problems and situations affecting average adults today. Please understand, the reason to bring this up and to highlight deep personal situations is not to make another feel badly! No, it's to say that if you do have these problems, or other similar, there now is a solution! Don't hide from your problem(s), rather embrace them and force them into the 'light of day' and correct it with these new processes detailed in this article! Now ask yourself, are you more like the average adult today that feels that these problems and others like them are beginning to take over your life? Another truly tragic situation is that many, close to a majority, literally have NO HOPE or reason to even get out of bed tomorrow! Isn't it a sad state of affairs when we hear others saying that they can't even see a reason for 'all of this'?

I hope that you are honest with yourself and accurately judge your place and emotional stance on a regular basis. You need not another 'telling' you where and how to work on various parts of your life! You know if you have a problem in a certain area or not. However, it must come from you after serious examination or we humans resist and and deny the need for any assistance! You may not have as many or as deeply felt problems as detailed above and that's good, however, still be honest and admit a problem(s) if they exist. Situations left undealt with will only get worst and out of control if allowed to. If you are honestly having no real problem with any of the above situations then great, help another get as honest and free! However, most of us can't say that. To varying degrees most people have substantial fears and stress that reduce their enjoyment of life, family and friends!.

Many chronically ill people, such as myself, were generally in good state of mind, however, once they became ill, problems began to 'pop up' like weeds' in spring! Some situations lead to related problems. For an example, most clinical depression will progressively advance to serious panic and anxiety. Once anxiety has been pushed to the forefront then it progresses to serious irrational thoughts. Not suicidal thoughts rather irrational and then in extreme situations they can progress to suicidal thoughts. Irrational thought go something like this, 'my life really stinks and I can't see it getting any better-ever, because of my illness'! Or, 'people make me so angry! They don't mean all those kind words, they are just feeling sorry for me because of my illness"! Some examples of more severe irrational thoughts deal with being trapped, not physically trapped but rather trapped emotionally and in their thought process. Such as, "my life sucks and isn't going to get any better, it only will get worst. I would entertain suicidal thoughts but I can't because I am not sure I even want to die and go to heaven! Because I don't want to stand around singing stupid hymns for the rest of eternity'! I want you to see how this type of person forcible puts their thinking into a no-win situation and into a 'no-hope' position. This 'place' may not actually exist in reality however, it is as real and concrete to the person forcing this thinking on themselves!

Those are just a few examples of varying degrees of troubled thinking. However, I hope you can see how the irrational thought process progresses to even more hopelessness and severe discontentment and depression! This is true for all types of fear, stress and hopelessness! So please don't hide from your problem(s) it doesn't get better on it's own, it only grows bigger and bigger until it is all encompassing! Most of us have problems, fears and phobias. It isn't a badge of honnor to not have any problems. No, it's just the oposite! It's more of a badge of honor to have overcome any problems and to have everything 'in check'! It seems to me that The first fear and/or phobia is the fear of having a problem in the very first place!

So then if most of us have problems how should we deal with them and overcome them? Because I am a Christian I believe that the new forms of Christian hypnosis works the best and the quickest! Prayer Walking: To Assist Those In Need Now!

I'm sure you have been made aware of just how many families are hurting at the present moment in the US and in other countries around the world. With all the recent tornados destruction of towns after town in the south, the flooding of thousands of acres near the Mississippi, as well as the thousand of homeless and hugry people in Japan after the earthquake and floods. These are just the bigger news stories we hear! People are seriously hurting everywhere around the world, and right next to you and me, regardless of where we live. So I don't wish to bore you with details you may be aware of already, so I will assume you know who right next to you, maybe in your very neighborhood who needs your help in one way or another. It may be in a small, quick fix way or in a great big way, you know the difference.

A lot of folks automatically grab their wallet when someone begins to detail how someone else needs help. I will put your mind to ease and tell you that what I want to inform you of requires NO money from yours or anyones elses wallet or require anything too difficult for the average person! For those of us in wheelchairs we still refer to it as prayer walking for ease of understanding. If we were to begin talking about prayer rolling or something like that many would be lost! So for ease of use, I want to inform you of a way to help others that only requires you to 'walk' and for you to pray. Do you see just how easy it can be?

Prayerwalking: Praying On-Site With Insight. Prayerwalking is not a program, a process, nor a prayer event. It is intercession that transforms the intercessor and his/her praying. Usually, it is much better to prayer walk with a group of like-minded people. People from your church or relatives that live with you. We say that it should be at least two people for safty sake and because two or more 'heads' are better than one when judging a needs of another! We've come to call this sort of on-site intercession "prayerwalking". It's simply praying in the very places that we expect God to bring forth His answers to our prayers. The prayers are intercessory rather than devotional. Prayerwalkers learn to pray beyond their own concerns, focusing their prayers on behalf of their neighbors. Having a focus based on a purpose will help you be consistent in your commitment to praying for others. Some people also believe that being close to a location allows them to “pray nearer to pray clearer.” Prayerwalking is usually a low-profile affair. Prayer walks are taken by individuals, groups, and even whole churches. They can be as short as a block or as long as many miles. The idea is to use the five senses—sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch—to increase the intercessor’s understanding of prayer needs. Though they usually walk unnoticed, prayerwalkers quickly become aware of the realities and needs of their neighbors. Prayerwalking or prayer walk with the Lord could also include riding, jogging, boating, biking, or any other means of transportation again, including those of us in wheelchairs. The method of communication is to pray on site, rather than from a distance. I'm sure you remember the old adage of having to get 'close and dirty' to the problem to be able to correct it. Well, yes, close but not too close or too dirty, you do have your own lives and families to be responsible for. However, your emotional levels will be peaked when close to those who need help and high emotions translate in to powerful heartfelt prayers!

Now before anyone makes 'things' more difficult than they need be, allow me to say that it is easy to get a 'feeling' of just who needs your help/prayer. Something as easy as a overgrown lawn or dead brushes and trees are good indicators that the person in that home needs 'phyical' assistance with their yard or they need prayer assistance over a health condition. It may also means that if there are children present, that discipline is a problem and a few prayers about respect are in order. Now this is just a few suggestions and not concrete in anyway. You wll come to know your neighbohood better than I from a distance. The suggested needs are just some of the possible needs. Other easy to decipher needs are homeless people, people with multiple layers of coats in warm weather uually points to a homeless person. What about a child siting on the front porch crying into their hands? It could mean anything! Don't ever jump to a conclusion. Mybe it's best to make a note about the crying child and about the conditions of their home and so on. Then continue to move on. If the next couple of times you see the same child crying you will be able to decipher the need eaisier. Why not ask from a distance ,"what's the matter"! You, as an adult, know when it feels right to talk to another and when to not. Sometimes a simple hello and how are you doing opens the 'floodwaters' of emotions and problems! Just keep this all in mind and make notes about everything, because then you can re-visit a situation and decipher a need. Other cases will be easier like I said about tornado ruined homes or flooded property. As you do more and more prayer walks you will develope a means of pinpointing problems or the partners you walk with will develope the gift. Lastly, and before I get into why you should get a prayer journal allow me to just point to recent comments and remind you that if you've noted a situation before and you find the same situation happening again, you will quickly know what the prayer need is. So either get fansy or get simple and make a lot of notes in what others refer to as 'Prayer Journal'.

Many prayer walkers find it very beneficial to keep a 'prayer journal' detailing who, what and where they prayed while on prayerwalks and then record the notable differences or results in later re-visits. Your prayer journal can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. A simple method would be to get a notebook or binder and draw a line down the middle of the page. Label one column "I prayed". Label the other "God answered". Right down some specific prayer requests and the date you start praying for it. You will find it benefical for you to keep looking over the pages from time to time and pray over those older things that haven't had notable effects/changes yet. . When you notice that your prayer has been answered right down how God answered it and the date. Remember it is easier to detail at frist rather than later, how you felt, why you felt the need to pray, what were some of the outward signs that led you to pray. Lastly, another great personal reason to keep a prayer journal is that over time you will have a record of how God has answered your prayers. Then if you are ever discouraged you can look it over and see how God has been with you in the past and will continue to be with you in the future! Unfortunately, we know of no better way to be able to track your prayers then with a prayer journal. Prayer walking experiences are just one reason to have a prayer journal. There are many other reasons and methods for keeping a Christian prayer journal.

In closing we want to offer you some tools to further aid you in developing your prayer walking team. For all you who are or who will ever go through what I call 'bad news situations' regarding your health, I hope to offer a lot of assistance for you and your partner, if you have one. I will though, for the sake of clarity, continue to refer to it as an 'expression partner'.

Before you begin reading the e-book allow me to offer just a bit of my assistance to go hand-in-hand with the e-book. Having an 'expression partner' to go through and deal with 'bad news situations' along with you is one of the most spiritual expressions we human's ever have. I wish to assist you in finding the best partner based upon some insight I wish to share with you. If it is you, personally, who is going through a 'bad news situation' then I hope this will help you to better understand your emotions and who and what type of person to look for to be the very best fit as your 'expression partner' through your bad time and journey back to health. Many times, we find that a spouse really isn't the best fit for an 'expression partner'. Yes, it is true, you may have also heard that my spouse and I are best fit for each other in so many ways including as my 'expression partner' throughout my personal battle with my chronic disease. However, attempt to understand that many spouse's have far too many other elements of life that they are dealing with to be truly effective 'expression partners'. If you find that your spouse is best for you, then great-praise God! However, I don't want you to waste any time and/or emotions thinking that your marriage and relationship with your spouse is less than it should be, if you find that your spouse isn't the best choice for YOUR 'expression partner'. This may be why so many women who battle breast cancer find that close female friends fit better as an 'expression partner'.

I wish to now use a simple comparison to help you better understand 'God's Way' and the 'Human's way' as it relates to our understanding of 'immunity' and sickness. God's way of making us humans stronger and able to overcome various diseases and sicknesses is through 'the way of exposure'. God made human's immunity to be able to take care of current illnesses while building up other immunity in order to be able to fight the next round/level of illnesses that will come our way. This is the major difference between 'God's way' and 'Human's way'! God's way states,"go ahead and get exposed so that you will be able to OVERCOME it". "Be sick a little in order to not be sick a long time or even die"! The 'Human's way' is to say," no don't go-stay away, stay back here so that you dont get sick by it". We human's will always say that the best 'medicine' is to avoid it completely in order to not get sick in the FIRST place! Which way is better? Of course God's way, in my opinion because we grow immune to many illnesses and avoid many death causing illnesses in the process! The Human's way is the way of no growth no betterment just avoidance and stagnancy! Why we human's are so fond of stagnancy I will never know!

Now this is a overly simple explaination of the two ways 'of approaching illness. Naturally, there isn't an true immunity issue with regards to most 'bad new situations' such as cancer. However, understanding the ways of God is a meaningful and precious enlightment. I find that there are so many small, yet precious gems of thought that can help us human's better understand God and His ways. It is helpful to know God's way is 'the way' to keep you 'in the game' as long as and as strong and healthy as possible. Giving up and giving in is NOT God's way, that's the human's way of handling a situation when we feel that the situation is WAY OVER OUR HEAD ! With God's way there is NO illness 'too big' to fight. There isn't any situation so far out of control that surrender is the only option! With an all-powerful, all knowing God, all 'things' are truly possible ! We must understand the New Testament, Biblical fact that God's way is limitless and all powerful. In fact the very belief and expression of that strongly held belief by a sick person wishing to be well again, is what Jesus would state as the reason WHY they received healing! Remenber Jesus re-stating this over and over again, 'Your faith has saved you and made you well'? We need to remember this point when we are feeling as though things are out of control. 'Things' are only out of control for human's, not our all powerful God!

Now if one is to be able to better understand and assist another or even themselves when a serious illness strikes, there has to be growth of emotions. When one hasn't experienced too many different or varying emotions they tend to use the same emotions for all situations. The 'I'm struck in traffic and already a half-hour late for a meeting' emotion is just about at the same intensity level as when we are given the bad news about having a chronic or terminal illness! One would think that the emotion and questioning would be completely different but in most cases they aren't! Again to the person who hasn't grown and matured to different types of situations and emotions to them, traffic delays are as equally devastating as the emotions of first time 'bad news situations'. Now we can see that with regards to two people one matured and one not, the way the bad news situation is dealt with is completely different and a trouble spot just waiting to explode! Please note that I am not attempting to make a point that one not matured is bad and who has is good! Just as God's way is the way of growth/betterment and the Human's way is the way of avoidance! However, this is a point of contention because of the differences and the methods each implore in 'bad news situations'!

I am completely convinced that only a person who has had their share of 'bad news situations' is even capable of dealing with, expressing love and understanding of a person who has just received the worst news of their life and are in a truly bad state of emotions. This again, I see as God's 'way of exposure'. A little by little, throughout life we develop 'life experience immunity', for the purpose of being able to help us personally deal with life's constant barrage of 'bad news situations' and to be able to assist those less mature/less exposed in 'life experiences'. Please also understand that the age of the one more immune, or the one less immune for that much has little to do with this. Not all aged people are highly 'immune'! The amount of exposure, the amount of repeated exposure is what leads to 'immunity' and has very little to do with a person's age.

I hope you can now understand just how important it is that you take notice of where you and where your partner is when bad news situation occur! Knowing where each are will assist you in being what the other needs, even if it is only for a brief time until another 'expression partner' steps in. Growth can not be forced or rushed. If your partner is using the same emotions of being stuck in traffic for bads news situations then relax a bit and help them to slowly begin to see the difference and the road to growth or 'immunity'. If your partner is the one who is more exposed and understands the differences and uses emotions more appropriately, then you will need to respond accordingly. A little at a time is a great way to accomplish anything! God's way is a little now, a little later, to be all better soon! Follow this way for less stress and confrontations.

Well Folks, how do you like the new home for 'OLIN'S Blog'? We had to finally stop waiting for Google to restore our old blog home and so we created this new one. We have a few more things to add but over all we would lke your opinions and comments on what we have for you now.

On to a major lost we have recently experienced! For some reason the folks who run the Dot.TK url's didn't want us to continue with the OLIN.TK and decided to not warn us of it's expiration and ended up selling it to some Russian company! They got a lot more money for the url; after all the money and time we spend promoting that url for over Six years! With it's proven track record of visitors it made an easy and quick sale! We would like to take the opportunity to get this blog up and running by offering you to 'guest write' posts for us once or for every week/month. We would also really like to have many more young writers submitting to our Blog Carnivals and directly to this blog. The April Blog Carnival of The Christian Family Information Exchange At New Home

Well folks it seems to me that we unfortunately aren't going to get our original blog back from Google! I have asked for it to be 'restored' so many times, that I've lost count. Next week or so we will start to design our new blog. Maybe with a few more prayers we will just get our old blog back and avoid all the extra effort... We'll see!

To add insult to all our struggles, we have discovered that some folks have been repeatedly cheating us out of our sales and sale commissions! All I will say for now is that bigger and much more intelligent of web security people, than I, are investigating and we will not be giving anyone a pass this time. Naturally, any and all information you may have on this issue is wanted and appreciated.

I for one don't think it is ever necessary for a person or a company to post/brag about all the monies and/or services they give away free of charge. Our charity is between God and us, and I will never use it to make us look all so sanctimonious! However, most of you do know that we regularly give large percentages of gross sales away as well as free products. The resaon to mention that is that whenever someone begins to cut into our funds to charities, we must do all we can to put a stop to it so that we can continue to assist all those who regularly count on our support.

On to more positive news, this month's issue is the largest we have ever had! Because it is so large I don't want to waste any space on other issues. Continue to keep sending your articles and we will continue to publish them. If we stay at current levels of submissions we will begin having two monthly issues! I really appreciate all your support and continued business in light of all 'the blog confusion'.
