The fabulous girls from White + White weddings and events put together a beautiful bridal shoot which featured some pieces from yours truly.

What a gorgeous setting! We especially love our custom made lamp shade.

How is your week going? We have been lucky to have a mid-week public holiday here in Brisbane for our annual 'show day'. The weather was beautiful and meant that I could catch up on some cleaning and washing at home. With a really hectic work schedule over the past few weeks, it was lovely to spend the day 'pottering' around home. Fresh fruit and flowers are always welcome! The little green antique jug was found at the markets in Paris....a photo on instagram was required of this little corner in my kitchen....x

I've just spent a few days away buying some new pieces for the shop and also for some of our clients homes. It is always lovely to come back into the shop after being away. Before I left at the end of last week our orchids were mostly closed. They are so beautiful now they are all open and I love them in our large blue and white planter - so pretty! Ax

We had the pleasure of working with Sue and Justin on their lovely East Brisbane home which was recently featured in Home Beautiful. So we thought we would share a few more pictures. The use of linen, slipcovered sofa's and sisal floor rugs keeps the home wonderfully bright and relaxed, perfectly suited to our Queensland climate.

The outdoor spaces and large verandah's of their home are enjoyed most of the year and therefore they could not be left untouched either. We added this block printed table cloth and some colour in the accessories that can be brought outside when they entertain. I could imagine sitting under this amazing old tree for a barbecue lunch.

I thought I would share some of our latest Instagram photo's of our front window. We did a quick rearrange this morning at the shop because our beautiful bone inlay chest of drawers sold over the weekend. I love the combination of pink and green which is just out of sight on the front two chairs — so cheerful, especially as the weather is cold today compared to our normally warmer Brisbane weather!

Our Jonathan Adler vases with David Austin roses from my garden. They look delightful, like little fascinators and they smell absolutely beautiful. Fresh flowers always make me happy! Hope everyone's week is going well....Ax

As you know I always love looking at homes for sale online and this weeks browsing has uncovered some beautiful examples of the lovely architecture we have in Brisbane. So I thought I would share one of the homes I am loving this week, which is currently for sale....The Queenslander architecture originated in the 1840's and is generally referred to the style of home in our region. This is such a stunning example of the beautiful details these homes have!

Isn't this just the cutest garage? The lights were installed last week and were the finishing touch on the old barn, which has been completely transformed into a garage come workshop space. I especially love the new doors which were custom made. It has been a non-stop effort since January on the cottage for our clients...it has been a privilege to be a part of the journey and to see all the progress and hard work that has gone into making this a lovely home.

The old door came off another barn on the property and looks like it has always been there. More images of this lovely home soon.

French bistro chairs

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break. We had wonderful weather here in Brisbane and I spent the long weekend catching up with family and friends....nice and relaxing! This week it is back to work at the shop and organising client projects which is always fun and never really seems like work!

Kitchens are one of my favourite spaces in a home. The addition of great bar stools always completes an island bench and is worth getting right. One I am very fond of is the French bistro stool. They comfortable and practical while adding a certain charm to the kitchen don't you think?

...our shop footpath today

I am very excited to received our delivery of Fiddle Leaf Figs which we will sell at our shop. As you all know I love to add them into the homes we decorate. They add such a wonderful sculptural element to a room. The challenge for our clients has always been locating them around town. So we have decided to add them to our footpath!

Our new front window display is full of beautiful blue and white ginger jars and vases. I had some fun this morning re-arranging the window and unpacking new stock. I love using these classic blue and white pieces on client projects.

Our new garden planter works well either inside or outside.

I love the use of the planter in the courtyard of Mark D. Sikes home.

Gorgeous Garden

As you know I love gardens and this Sydney garden is simply beautiful....I rediscovered this home while flicking thru my files this afternoon!

I arrived back yesterday from Sydney where I spent the weekend catching up with my sister and doing some buying for the shop. I am always inspired by the beautiful harbour and architecture of the homes there.

Dreaming of the Riviera...

Daydreaming of escaping to the French Riviera, the sultry air, beautiful waters and coastline...is it ever to early to start planning?

Fuelling my desire for an escape to the beautiful mediterranean is the fabulous new 'Cote d'Azur collection of indoor/outdoor fabrics...I look forward using some of them very soon. However, in the meantime after enjoying a very warm week in Brisbane and I will be content just to relax by the pool this weekend.
