My involvement included the creative concept for the site, and subsequently prototyping the UX and Motion Design. Tasks included research, wireframing, and After Effects animation. You can see the original motion design for the website in this video and the video below.

Macy’s Social Gift Card

The best technologies are ones that enhance existing human behaviors.

When tasked with creating a new gift card for Macy’s, we were inspired by the tradition of “pooling” together money for a big gift. It’s something people do all the time… But in a world where cash is sparse, paypal charges fees, and no one remembers to ever pay you back anyway, it’s getting tougher and tougher to go in on a big gift.

With Macy’s Social Gift Card App, you and your friends can all pool in money for one big gift card, fee-free, for any item at Macy’s. The day of your friend’s birthday, anniversary, or shower, your friend will receive a massive gift card from multiple Facebook friends.

Urban Generation 4

Me and classmate Harper Bokum-Fauth created this documentary, delving into the unique subculture of urban dance. From Poppers, Breakology, to Blank Canvas, VCU’s Urban Generation 4 covers all different types of contemporary dance moves.

Unfortunately, the group has been poorly recognized by the University. From lack of space to accolades, UG4 has struggled to survive and expand.

Ashby Consignment

For the retail design of Richmond’s newest consignment store, we focused on the heritage of Virginia.
The word Ashby comes from the “Ashby Notes” that used to be Virginia’s currency in the 1700s. Throughout the store are touches of the past, from galvanized steel tubs to antique bicycles and cisterns.
