OLTCHIM offers a complete range of Polyether Polyols designed for PU producers (cellular/non-cellular PU products) and also system houses, backed up by technical assistance for competitive products.
At UTECH 2012, OLTCHIM introduced new types of Polyether Polyols:

• Non-Reactive Polymer Polyols with a high solid content, low viscosity, a narrow particle distribution. The Polyether Polymer Polyols are designed for enhanced load bearing flexible foams with excellent mechanical properties.
  
• Polyether Polyols - Diols - 1000MW and 2000MW are designed for TDI and MDI based prepolymers, for food label adhesives.
  
• Amine based Polyether Polyols and Sorbitol based Polyether Polyols with low viscosity designed for rigid polyurethane foams blown with alkanes, HFC.

The Conference will be held from Wednesday October 06, 2010 to Friday October 08, 2010.

The location will be Grand Hotel Sofianu in Ramnicu Valcea, Romania.
Ramnicu Valcea is situated in a beautiful natural and historical area, on the Olt Valley.

This year, SC OLTCHIM SA had the honor to host the ECVM Annual Health Safety and Environmental Conference,organized in cooperation with ECVM, during 12th – 13th 2008 in Calimanesti-Caciulata resort, Valcea county. The meeting offered an excellent opportunity to discuss over health and environmental issues following accidents and near misses, during the past year, and  to set the areas where ECVM could provide support. The information exchanged included a full description of the accidents, its consequences, the analysis of its causes and the corrective actions taken. If several incidents appear to follow a common trend, it is usually decided to collect information in a systematic way in order to consider possible recommendations.

ECVM - European Council of Vinyl Manufacturers – represents the European PVC producing companies and is a division of PlasticsEurope, the Association of Plastic Manufacturers in Europe. Its membership includes the 11 leading European PVC producers which together account for 90 per cent of European Union production of  PVC.

The organization is working actively with the new European Union Countries to ensure the highest production standards are observed and that the whole industry is working so that PVC remains a sustainable material and a material for the future.

ECVM studies and attempts to solve problems of public interest connected with the use and application of the products of the PVC manufacturing industry, such as the protection of the environment, health and safety.

This outstanding event brought together important representatives of PlasticsEurope from Mediterranean Cluster’s member countries (the South-East European region): Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Cyprus, Malta.

 SC OLTCHIM SA had the honor to host the event organized, in cooperation with ASPAPLAST, at ORIZONT COZIA Hotel, Calimanesti-Caciulata Spa, Valcea county.

 On the meeting, an action plan was mapped out to better meet the partners’ needs and to ensure a successful implementation of the Business Support Program, co-financed by European Union, EuPC and PlasticsEurope.

 Effectively, the action plan is meant to consolidate the business relationship between the member countries and to speed up the communication process within the business environment concerning the European Union law impact over the plastics segment.

 The Romanian plastics producers, along with the other Mediterranean Cluster members from the South-East European region, will have the opportunity to benefit of the best waste management strategies and of the latest news in European law with reference to food packing, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), instruments for commercial defense, competition, communication and association’s management.

 The reunion from Ramnicu Valcea was extremely interesting as it occasioned an experience exchange within very concrete areas for the Mediterranean cluster.

 PlasticsEurope is a reference association of the plastics industry in Europe, with offices in Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan and Paris.

PlasticsEurope is networking with European and national plastics associations and have more than 100 member companies, producing over 90% of all polymers across the 27 EU member states plus Norway, Switzerland, Croatia and Turkey.
