Hi there

This years annual festival of our temple was celebrated by all the devotees and the special part which is the chariot procession goes as smooths as planned .

We used two bulls two pull the chariot.

Its so enlightening to see old tradition still can be followed due to strict rules of road safety and nowdays Batu caves situation.
Thanks to Poilce department and Rela services for their support throughout the festival and chariot procession.
I will be updating the thiruvizha photos and videos in this blog as soon as the filtering works completed.

Kodi Maram staabhanam and Sri Durgai Amman staabhanam

All preparation works for kodi maram staabhanam was carried on today,and was completed before Tuesday as expected, so staabhanam prayers will be conducted smoothly as t committee planned

On Sunday, 28th May 2013 at Om Sri Jada Jothy Khotai Muniswarar temple Batu Caves, the management committee successfully conducted bala sthabanam prayers for Sri Durgai Amman.

The prayers conducted to move the current statue (peedam) from its original place to a temporary location untill the new temple for Amman is constructed. The renovation works will commence soon and with the support from all devotees,and the blessings from Lord Muniswarar we believe that everything will be in order till the works is completed.

I am really sorry for letting this blog untouched for a long period of time, anyway I would like to inform that all information about the temple will be published as soon as possible.

I also would like to take thi oppurtunity to thank people who donated and helped so far throughout of the year. If there is any one who are willing to help, pls contact us. Well sorry for the late late very late article . I have been working around , I mean I was quite busy nowdays, and believe me there is a lot of articles in my draft box waiting to be completed.

Anyway, today's post is about an activity done by Americans to maintain brain health and stay or get smarter. Its something about the blood vessels and neurons in brain. Current Activities In Temple

This time, I would like to brief a little more about current activities done by temple's youth members. First of all Thevaram and Bhajan group, formed by the temple youth commitee itself to bring out the uynderlying talents among the members in order to urge us to be, utilitarian.

It is not a class, I mean neither a music class nor sanggeetham class. Like I said in our recent post, it is about the little effort put together by us to form a small group and start to contribute to the temple and preserve every cultural values we had. The main idea was to re-group together with our old and new friends under the temple's name and start doing some useful things.

Its really touching and overwhelming to see friends and brothers willing to sacriface their weekends and spend their own time here for the temple.Apart from that, cleaning works of the temple, minor reconstruction of the temple and also a little bit of cultivation of plants (gardening) are among of the activities done here. We are unable to upload the photos yet, but I can assure, twice, everything is under process and the next post will complete with photos .

Conserve A Pre-historic Temple

Well, this is the 1st post here, and a retentive article now, wont engage in so many ideas or story, so I decided to post more later or in few days time about friends, members and 'underlying' stories which constitute to the temple.

Yes, I am talking about Lord Khotai Muniswarar temple here in Batu Caves which located near the (old kenneison co) now, YTL co. Efforts are being put together by everyone especially among the youth members to reconstruct the temple and build it again. Donations are being raised all over place and, honestly, decent effort were put altogether by everyone.

Let me be more specific. About the temple, there is Lord Khotai Muniswarar's statue staabanam as the moolashthanam and Lord Edumbar as kaval theivam in front of the temple.

In future a Nanthee will be positioned here in front of the Lord and soon will be recognised as the Vaghana of the main deity.

A few metres away There is Lord Karupanna Swamy or Lord Karuparr, as we all know Lord Karrupaswamy is first deity Ayyapa's Bhaktargal will worship first before their Yathirai or any pooja of Lord Ayyapa. As the eighteen steps in sabari malai, here in the temple exactly eighteen small steps were built in front of Lord Karupar to idolize Lord Ayyapa and Lord Karupanna Swamy. You see thats why people here even already assigned a general specific name which sounds like this " Pathi-neTTaam padee Karupar".( Lord Karupar on the eigtheenth step).
I will brief more about the Lord Karupar in our future post.

There is AMMAN(AathiParasakhti) temple next to Moolasthanam, and Lord Jada Muni's temple few meter away in front of the main temple. Every temple here has its own strories, and we will try to compile all the stories and post it for those who seem to be interested about the temple.

Our next post will be about the members and few pictures of the current outlook of the temple.
