It’s a new year at Omaha’s Hair Choice, and with that always comes many changes. We are excited about the growth and change we’ve experienced – our stylists have grown with new techniques and continuing education, the salon underwent a beautiful makeover and our favorite product lines are releasing new and improved products!

One change you will see this new year is a new look for one of our favorite product lines, Pureology. Pureology is a colour hair care system (though uncolored hair can also benefit from Pureology) that utilizes an AntiFade Complex and organic botanical ingredients in a concentrated formula. Might we suggest something REALLY different? Like OPI Shatter?

As you can see from the video, shatter is easy to apply over any other OPI color, and works quickly so you don’t have to wait a long time for either the shatter results or for it to dry. So you can come in to Omaha’s Hair Choice for a manicure, or come in to purchase Shatter and do it yourself!

First, you must choose the color of Shatter polish you want. There are several choices – from pink to black. Then, based on the color of Shatter polish you choose, select a base coat color. It should be something that will show through the Shatter. Paint your nails with the base color, let it dry, apply the Shatter in a thin coat and let dry. The result is a guaranteed surprise.

The first in the lightest of the blue bottles and is called Finishing Spray. This is the lightest hold of them all, but is certainly not weak. This spray is perfect for those who want a strong hold with lots of flexibility that can easily be brushed through. It also helps gives a natural shine to hair.

The second in the set of three is the Freezing Spray. This is a stronger and less flexible hold, but still has the shine the Finish Spray offers. This is ideal for locking in a final style for hair and helping fight humidity.

This fall our Omaha stylists are helping women achieve a simple, classic, clean and shiny look that is super trendy for the season. Hair colors reflect that of the season with golden and autumn-like tones partnered with feminine highlights that accent the cut and color – not distract from it.

For those with straight or slightly wavy hair, large, smooth and loose curls are the way to go. Depending on your face shape a swooping bang and large curls that frame the face is the perfect fall style. These curls do not have to be done using a curling iron, so ask your stylist how you can use your flat iron to achieve the same look.

For those with long hair, loose braids are also trendy this season. This simple and feminine style can be worn down the back, or more popularly – to the side. The EssentialRepair System is a line of product within Pureology that helps repair and strengthen hair through vitamins and organic botanicals. It’s, of course, important to start with good shampoo and conditioner – which the EssentialRepair System does have – but there are additional products within this line that will help keep hair in optimal condition and save money on product in the long run.

So as mentioned before, it is impossible to repair spilt ends. But you can sure stop them in their tracks with Split End Correction Treatment.
