Meet Nichole + Jordan. We simply adore these two and had an amazing time exploring the Malibu canyon with them a few weeks ago.

This gal is the whole package: super gorgeous, smart, sweet and witty. If you can’t tell, we’re super fond of her. Our hearts broke a little when she moved away to California, but visiting her in Malibu isn’t  so bad. We met up with her on a recent trip to California and made a few portraits on our Mamiya 645. Today’s Mal’s birthday and the perfect day to share this girl with you. Happy birthday, lady!

These two might just be the coolest couple ever. We met with them in our neighborhood at a little placed called Macrina Bakery to discuss their big day. They had us hooked when they said they were serving breakfast for dinner and wanted to take their hand-made rowboat out for engagement photos. Yes, please!

When you meet them, you know instantly they’re totally in love. Not only that, they make quite the stunning couple. These photos are from a great day we spent together rowing their boat around Gig Harbor and we can’t wait for their upcoming wedding!

Scott and I are culling through massive amounts of photos right now. The last month has been a bit insane, but oooh-so-good and we can’t wait to share all of the goodness! I came across this lifestyle session from a few weeks ago and had to share. I don’t get to do it often, but when time allows I love love love taking on projects that allow me to get into peoples homes, really get all up in their business, and document real life. It’s precious, it’s real and I feel privileged to be entrusted with those intimate parts of someones life.

The lady above is one of my favorites in the whole world. She unexpectedly entered our life about a year ago and our world has been changed by her contagious joy, gorgeous smile, selflessness and overall awesomeness she brings to life. And, her style sense is obviously unparalleled. I could curl up on her amazing Restoration Hardware couch with a good book and never leave! Her cozy, little apartment documented here is so quaint– I hope you can all glean some decor ideas like I have from her. I only agreed to document the apartment she was moving out of because she was moving even closer to Scott and I (yay!). Krissy, you are a gem of a friend and I like you a whole lot.

A few weeks ago we got to play with Shaun + Whitney in the snow. We were expecting a cold, snowy day that would call for nothing other than snuggling in by a fire, but woke up to some serious sunshine. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest– a place that will make or break a photographer. You prepare for one thing and mother nature is like yeah…I don’t think so.  So, instead of grabbing our snow pants we grabbed our sunnies and sleds and headed up to the mountain. Well, it turns out mother nature knew what she was doing. A bit of sunshine, a lot of laughter and hot cocoa to warm us all up turned out to be the perfect recipe for this shoot. Enjoy!

This wedding stops me in my tracks each time I see it. Not only are Drew + Savannah total gems, you just can’t go wrong with a gorgeous bride in a lace dress, full blown Autumn colors and two people in love. It really doesn’t get any better. D + S tied the knot in their hometown of Yakima, WA at the Apple Tree Resort surrounded by friends and family. We couldn’t be happier for you two!

Our first introduction to Josh and Lara was this summer when Lara was a bridesmaid in Mike and Rebekah’s wedding. Everyone in their wedding was such a joy; we couldn’t wait to get coffee with Josh and Lara when they asked about photography for their upcoming wedding. We hit it off and are super stoked to be a part of their Chicago wedding this July. Josh and Lara are lighthearted, fun and a total delight to be around. Enjoy this engagement session we shot with them at Volunteer Park.
