carrie fisher / princess leia

2019-03-27T15:24:00.001-07:00

I did this this up about a month before carrie fisher died, hoping to get it signed. I missed the fan expo, little did I know there would be no second chance. :(

With my recent fascination towards hand drawn type, and the gritty look of intentional imperfection, add to that chalkboard art, and you get this: the idea for my new business card, and promo poster.

Currency Ornamentation

2014-02-22T18:44:00.001-08:00

Influenced by the ornamentation found on US Currency. This illustration was originally going to be used on the front page of my website, but never was.

Portrait on Wood

2014-02-22T18:41:00.004-08:00

For christmas a friend(James) asked me to do a portrait of his wife(Sophia) for him.

This is the first portrait I have done on wood. In fact it is the first portrait I have done in a long time. I feel it went well, and I would like to do others. If you are interested in getting a portrait done, please do contact me.

The original is below. The necklace came from a different image.

The Original

Portrait on wood #2

2013-12-25T19:32:00.000-08:00

This is the second portrait I did on wood. The weird shape on top of his head is a bandanna that the kid is wearing. it was a little more clear when it was the colour original. Lesson learned. I feel the final looks a little older than the photo. strange since I bid a transfer from a tracing of the original as part of the process.

Warcraft Christmas

2013-12-25T19:17:00.000-08:00

My wife plays World of Warcraft, and asked me to do a drawing for christmas. here is the black&white original, and some added digital colour.

My First Carved Wood Sign.

2013-08-21T11:19:00.001-07:00

As a thank you to our friends Allyson and John, I made this sign for their kitchen. My wife and I would like to thank them again for their hospitality.

Ambigram cover

2013-04-21T13:50:00.001-07:00

I have designed a new logo for the gas masked man line. This is done with paint pens on a book cover(also painted).
