There names are Mist and Fall, otherwise known as Dumpy Frogs. They will cost you $15-20 at a reptile show, some times less. I purchased these at a reptile show, they were babies at the time. They are about 3 years of age. This is a very easy frog to have. Temp ranges can range from 75 F on the cooler side of tank to 85 F of the warmer side. The humidity should be greater than 50 percent. The 2 that i have are female and male. The Female is bigger than the male. The pair were in the waterfall paladrium that i posted. They loved the water very much, always swimming around. I made it very accessible for them to get out of water if needed. They would actually dive and swim under water very well. Handling them is frowned upon but i do handle them once in awhile and they are the one tree frog species that loves to be handled, at least mine do. Feeding them is simple, just crickets, dusted of course and they have eaten pinkie mice before which they enjoyed very much. Pinkie mice are very high in fat content and should only be a treat every couple months or so. All in all these are awesome frogs to have.

Sphagnum Moss

This is some moss on a dead tree. I know how exciting. But when you are trying to set up a new tank for whatever will inhabit it, it is a great idea to see it in its environment. You can kinda get the picture of what you want. I actually found a 40' sheet of this on a dead tree and it was so green. I cut a 24"x12" piece and that was the base for my Crested Gecko vivarium. Moss is not easy to grow at all. You need UVB lighting, and a moderate temp and higher humidity. When u see Moss out in the woods it's usually in a nice shaded area. When i had mine growing, only had UVB light on for a couple hours a day and misted it with water and it came out nice. There is a wide variety of moss that is easily accessible on line some better that others. If you do go out and get some in the woods make sure it is free of bugs.

Redback Salamander

The things you find when your hiking, of course you have to dig a little. I was surprised to find a Redback Salamander on our hike. The temperatures were in the low 50's. All the critters are starting to get ready for the winter. During the spring and summer your can find just about anything on a hike through the woods. Over the summer i had taken 3 Redback Salamanders and set them up in a nice little tank. There is no need for any special lighting nor heat, 75 degrees F is good. Took 10 gallon tank and put Coco Fiber on bottom added some leaves and a couple rocks. I would mist tank with water daily. The feeding was tricky, there mouths are so small, so i went out and purchased some Flightless Fruit Flies and they loved them. Only had them for 2 weeks, then let them go back out into the wild. Where i am from there are 22 species of Salamanders and some are amazing. Nice little easy pet to have.

Tortoise

The Tortoise, many people have these, get ready cause they will most likely out live you. Start a garden they love to eat alot of vegetables. The Leopard Tortoise is my favorite. Adorable when they are babies, always tempted to buy one at reptile shows. This housed 2 Big Eye Tree Frogs. Bought the 2 tree frogs at a reptile show. The first one did not do to well and died, the second one i had for a couple years. Ended up putting the Red Eye Tree Frog in with the Big Eye Tree frog. Not something you should do, mixing different species in an enclosure is frowned upon. But i wanted to see if it was possible and it was. They kept to themselves and stayed together till the Big Eye Tree frog passed away and i was left with just the Red Eye Tree frog. This enclosure has been taken apart to do the waterfall tank i posted.

Lunch time

The Albina Pac-Man frog, ferocious little thing. This is a frog that is a very good choice if you want an easy reptile to care for. A 10 gallon aquarium tank is more than enough room for 1 of these frogs. This little guy i have had for about 4 years and he is as round as a softball. He is not very active. In the wild they are a ambush predator. They hang out in disguise waiting for there prey. There prey is what ever will fit in that mouth. Owning one is very simple. I use Coco-Fiber from Petco, I moisten it with water, i put a level layer on bottom of tank, just enough that it can burrow itself. The fiber will tend to dry out, Just mist with water daily. Temp ranges are 78-83 degrees F. When they are babies, small crickets dusted with calcium and minerals will do. As they grow i used Nightcrawler worms and the occasional hopper mouse. That's about all there is to owning a Pac-Man frog.
Welcome to my other passion. Alot of work but it is amazing to have a Koi pond. I have a couple fish in this 300 gallon pond. This also is where my Bullfrog hangs out. I have planted various plants in and around the pond. This pond has many visitors during the spring and summer ranging from birds, newts and toads. I have been waiting for a snake to show up, but no luck. I am not gonna get into on the how to's on owning a koi pond, but having one is amazing.

Awesome setup

This is an ideal setup for dart frogs, took picture of it at hamburg reptile show in P.A, Would love to get into dart frogs. Wish i would have couple years ago. Dart frogs come in various color and sizes. High humidity and moderate temps. Better to have couple in a nice setup. They eat a wide range of different fruit flies. Again do your homework on these. Not to hard to have if your experienced in frog care. Hope to have some dart frogs up on my blog asap.
Bought triangular hanging basket with potho plant which is 2 times the size now. I used regular stain, but the inside i stained and used polyurethane to make it water resistant. Cut up some bamboo and placed it around, Enclosure is misted daily to keep up the humidity, i have cut some plexi-glass to seal the screen, have not needed to install though able to keep temp and humidity up. All in all gecko loves the enclosure, plenty of room, and when she is cold she climbs up to top under the light.
Fogger was added for fog. This housed 2 whites tree frogs which loved the setup, had them in there as babies not a wise setup for babies but if u keep a close eye on them they will be fine. Took both tree frogs out to feed them crickets, crickets will make a mess. This setup has been torn down just an empty aquarium at this point, want to start another cichlid aquarium when i have the time

This is eve my red eye tree frog, she has passed on, Had her for about 5 year, was a very interesting tree frog, she was beautiful but very shy like most are, You have to do your homework on these. They eat mostly crickets dusted with calcium and mineral supplements. They need high humidity and a taller tank. Mostly reptiles with sticky feet need a taller tank, just a rule of thumb. Awesome tree frog to have though but not to handle.

my crested gecko

Hanging out in cage, warming her bones. She is about 1 year old, have had her since she was a baby, Still a little jumpy when held but very sweet. Definitely a must if u want a lizard. Very easy to maintain, eats some crickets off and on, mostly rapashy gecko formula. Temperature range high 60"s to mid 70's. When she was a baby had her in 20 gallon high tank with pothos, once little larger and doing well on her own, i built her a screened enclosure which she loves very much, will show that at a later point in blog along with the rest of my critters.

reptiles

Hello everyone, just a quick hello, hope i get some followers.
