Conditions are favourable for the development of severe
thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes.

Scattered thunderstorms will affect portions of the above regions
late this afternoon and early this evening. It is possible that a
few of these storms could produce an isolated tornado. The threat
for a tornado will end in all areas this evening.

Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if
threatening weather approaches.

In the event of a tornado, or if a Tornado Warning is issued for
your area, it is recommended you take the following actions: go
indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and
windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet.
Leave Mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or
free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As
a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying
debris.

The office of the fire marshal and emergency management recommends
that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
Please monitor local media or weatheradio. To report severe weather,

June 9th update: KLAWS received an update from this kitty's rescuer. Her owner had moved to B.C many weeks back, and saw our FB post and contacted them. They had rehomed this kitty before moving, and it apparently had not worked out and she had been rehomed again. Her rescuers have worked it out with all that she will be staying with them as part of their forever family. KLAWS has offered to assist with vaccinations and spaying once her abscess on her leg heals. Another happy ending! Thanks you again for all the sharing- it makes all the difference in helping these furbabies in need! <3 Sharing from Kijiji: Beautiful female tabby/Bengal looking young kitty found County Road 10 at Hayes Line in Omemee. Her kind rescuer noticed she was favouring a paw and arranged for vet care & treatment for the abscess that was found. They also had her scanned and no microchip present.She is quite sweet & friendly. Please care & share so that her family can find her... "This young little girl showed up at our house on county road #10 north of Hayes line on June 2nd... remained outside for a few days, but stayed around our place. Based on her reaction to the sound of dry food in a plastic bowl, she was well taken care of at some time in her short life. She is now inside, after a trip to the vet for a sore paw. Is Omemee now the home of a bunch of cowardly desperados?...they stole my wheelbarrow last year, broke up some plastic chairs, this year this bunch of spineless cowards who operate at night or when they think no one is looking along the bike trail near the old railway bridge, have proven to themselves that they will go down in history as a couple of real losers (the OPP and myself are close on their slimy trail)...as they have managed to steal some bags of $1 wal mart dirt...perhaps to line their beds with, and destroy some helpless trees that i hoped would brighten up the landscape...i sincerely hope i have the chance to meet up with any of these low-life COWARDS trespassing, destroying and thieving on my property ...i have also seen that some goofy kids have decided that they can ride 4-wheelers and dirt bikes along the bike path...who will be the first bicyclist or walker killed by these low-life assholes...are these low-lifes also responsible for destroying the bike-path sign at the west end of the old railway bridge...its about time that some of the true citizens of omemee stepped up to the plate here and get these individuals (who must be known to some) straightened out one way or another!!]]>
