Gaza officials say the five days of airstrikes have killed 390, including 200 uniformed members of Hamas security forces, and have wounded about 1,600. The U.N. says at least 60 Palestinian civilians are among the dead. Four Israelis have been killed by militant rocket fire, including three civilians.

Can’t we all just get along?  Who was the idiot who thought that was even a possibility?  Rodney King.  Speaking of which, has anyone seen his ass on the rehab show… what a lame show.  Anyways, I digress.

France had asked pleaded with Israel to stop the attacks and do a cease fire.  Israel gave France the middle finger as I think any country should do to France.  France is like “I hate America” until someone is trying to invade them then they love us.  Fuck France.  I know we (US) and other countries have asked to stop the attacks to but because France asked I say screw it.  I would do anything the opposite of what France asks.

Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert discussed the idea of a two-day truce with his defense and foreign ministers overnight, but the trio decided to pursue the punishing aerial campaign.

“If conditions ripen to the point that we assess they promise a safer existence in southern Israel, we will consider it. We’re not they’re yet,” Olmert said, according to a participant in the meeting who spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting was closed.

At this time it doesn’t look like Israel has any date in mind to stop the air attacks on Gaza and will continue them until they win it looks like.

Less than two weeks after Uncle Sam gave American International Group (AIG) an $85 billion loan - staving off financial collapse - execs from one of its insurance subsidiaries, AIG American General, gathered for a conference at the uber-swank St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, billed as “California’s only Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star Resort,” where ocean-view rooms start at $565 a night and “world class luxury” is the rule.

On Friday, before the presidential debate got under way, caterers for the St. Regis were setting up dozens of tables on the grounds of Mission San Juan Capistrano for AIG American General’s sumptuous off-site dinner. Tables were draped with soft Tuscan-gold tablecloths that cascaded to the
grass; elegant fresh flower centerpiece graced each table; and what appeared to be fine crystal stemware, at least from a distance, glistened in the fading light.

Workers set up a lengthy bar stocked with bottles of liquor. A half-dozen tall space heaters stood sentinel in case the evening turned cool. There was a large center stage with lighting and a sound system, and once the sun went down, the whole scene took on a magical patina as tiny white lights twinkled in the trees.

The Watchdog - and the Outraged Taxpayer who alerted us to the situation - understand that corporate events such as these are planned many months in advance. I mean, really. Who could have known in the spring that there’d be Financial Armageddon in the fall? But still. “The inappropriateness and the excessiveness just blew us away,” said the Outraged Taxpayer, who went to the Mission Friday to pray in the chapel. “It’s outrageous. In very poor taste. Over the top.”

Again I realize this isn’t breaking news but it hasn’t made the main stream news yet.  All I have to say is are you F***ING KIDDING ME!  You just got $85 billion dollars, let’s do America a favor and I don’t know… CANCEL IT!

Biggs, of Pembrook Pines, chose to kill himself by overdosing on prescription drugs - in front of live people.  He blogged of his plans to kill himself - and 12 hours later, he was dead. He took a lethal combination of prescription drugs Wednesday before his death was witnessed by several internet users.

There were reports of this months ago going around all the way back to the spring of 2007 but no idea who the particular butt bandit was.  Well, police finally caught the butt bandit in the act.  The man hasn’t been charged yet but authorities believe he is the the vandal that has been labeled the “Butt Bandit”.

A mystery vandal visited businesses at night, pressing his naked behind — sometimes his groin, sometimes both — on windows. The marks were made with lotion or petroleum jelly, and while police had earlier worried copycat criminals were getting involved, Scott (Cherry County Attorney) said they now believe it’s “the act of a lone deviant.”

“This isn’t normal behavior for Valentine, Neb.,” Scott said. “It’s an embarrassment for the hardworking people who live here.”

The man was spotted by police about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and arrested without incident, Scott said. The suspect appears to be the same man caught on a surveillance camera at the middle school last year, he said.

So next time you see some greasy prints on a window or sliding glass door, think of the Butt Bandit.

The seven indictments made public in Willacy County on Tuesday included one naming state Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. and some targeting public officials connected to District Attorney Juan Angel Guerra’s own legal battles.

Regarding the indictments targeting the public officials, Guerra said, “the grand jury is the one that made those decisions, not me.”

This comes like a shot to the face for Dick Cheney… not so hot on the other end eh Dick?  The question is will Cheney be pardoned from the indictment… most likely and unfortunately yes.  This is craziness!

The indictment accuses Gonzales of using his position while in office to stop an investigation in 2006 into abuses at one of the privately-run prisons.

Gonzales’ party says this is absurd and any good prosecutor will recognize this.  Either way, the fact of the matter is attention has been spotlighted with Dick Cheney indicted as well as Alberto Gonzales.

Jerry Yang wrote his memo in his typical fashion with no captial letters.  Jerry Yang reigned as CEO of Yahoo for 18 months and will remain with the company actively on the executive board, just in another position.

Mr. Yang’s most trying period began in February when Microsoft made an unsolicited bid for the company. He initially refused to accept Microsoft’s bid of $31 a share, a 62 percent premium to its then share price of $19.18. In the following months of negotiations, he showed some willingness to sell the company, but at a much higher price than Microsoft was willing to pay. Microsoft rescinded its offer in May.

Mr. Yang then made an advertising deal with its arch rival Google. The deal was supposed to bring Yahoo $250 million to $450 million in additional cash flow in the first year. Google would deliver ads next to some of Yahoo’s search results and on some of its Web sites in the United States and Canada. Under pressure from regulators over antitrust concerns, Google backed out of the deal this month.

Many analysts and investors have suggested that without the deal, Yahoo would be forced to consider one of two options: a deal with Microsoft, or a merger with AOL.

Yahoo and AOL have discussed a merger for months.
