I was still living in Santa Barbara, CA, next to the 101 freeway when this was taken. I was experimenting with the bulb setting on my film camera, which meant I pointed the lens at a cactus in the dark and held the shutter open for about 30 seconds or until I got bored. This would’ve been around 2002.

This street was somewhere around Shinjuku and Kabukicho, Tokyo’s Red Light District. It’s a pretty typical scene of how overwhelming it can be just to go out and look for a place to eat dinner. August 2008.

On June 12, 2010, Jer and I went on a hike at St Edward State Park in Kenmore, WA. It’s a 316 acre day use park about 20 minutes from our house. We took the Seminary Trail down to the beach (lakefront), and then followed the beach along the North trail and back to the parking lot. Great park.
