I'm too scared to go and find out what it is. We have a dog, but he doesn't do much in the bug/critter department.

Hubbs has his 1st week of vacation in less than two weeks. Why don't moms ever get vacations? Seriously, even if a mom works and she "technically" has vacation, she still doesn't. She'll still have to do cleaning, cooking, parenting, etc. On the other hand, husbands have vacations and think they don't have to do anything at all (even parenting). Uh, excuse me??! I didn't conceive this baby all on my own.

Tomorrow, my plan is to get the living room/dining room all rearranged and ready for Christmas. October is almost finished, and I am planning on having Christmas decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. Last year, we didn't get the tree up until 2 days before Christmas. Ahh, the joys of being the mom.

Does your husband help out with the family responsibilities? Even when he's on vacation?

Work was not my friend last night

I may be a big baby when it comes to this, but here it goes.

I was called in again last night, and when I walk in the Junior's department, there are mountains of clothes everywhere! It was so bad that I didn't even know where to start! I was tearing up at the sight of it all.

I don't like teenagers anyway (there are a few exceptions), but then I'm put in the Junior's department? I'd rather clean dirty nasty bathrooms any day than do that again.

Next time, I'll think twice before accepting a call-in again.

Being recognized is awesome-sauce

I got called in to work tonight. I of course, said yes! Well, apparently I'm really good at folding all the clothes, because I got recognized at work for my hard work. I've never been recognized before in a work setting, and this just feels awesome!

For those of you that don't know, I work at Kohl's. It's not bad, but I do wish people would pick up after themselves (but if they did, I wouldn't have a job). I love the people that I work with. What I would really like to do, is eventually get into a management position or supervisor position.

What have you been recognized for lately, that you just want to shout at the top of your lungs?

Introductions

Woot woot! First post of my blog, y'all! My name is Brittni. It is a pleasure to meet you! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I have lots to say!

First, I'll introduce you to the hubby. His name is Brian. He's 26 years old. He's a military brat, so he's been all over the country! He works in the entertainment lighting industry. You know those big lights that you see on stage at a concert? Yeah, he works on those and he's also a light designer. Pretty nifty stuff, if I do say so myself. In his spare time (uh, how come he has spare time?) he loves to play on his Xbox. He is definitely a gamer. He's also very handy with a computer as well!

Then, there's Emily! Ahh, where do I start? From the beginning, I guess. I found out I was pregnant on April 1st, 2009. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage on April 12, 2009. I swore I wasn't going to ever get pregnant again. Yeah, pretty stupid right? Anyway, my friend at work kept telling me that she thought I was pregnant. I took a pregnancy test on May 16th, and BAM! Positive pregnancy test! Emily Ann made her debut into this world on January 25, 2010 (my grandma's birthday), and the world has never been the same since!

We also have a fur-baby. His name is Charlie. We were told that he is a Chihuahua/Shiba-Inu mix. He's very cute...as you can see. We've only had him about a month. We're also working on potty-training him...that's not going so well.

Last, but certainly not least there is me! I'm also a military brat...Air Force to be exact. I was born on a base that no longer exists and is now an airport. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 2 years, but decided to get a part-time job to supplement my shopping habit. I now work at Kohl's! 15% discount, baby!

Oh, the hubby and I are also trying to have baby #2! This should be fun...
