For all of you planning to bake this holiday season I found the coolest cupcake recipe blog a few weeks ago and I thought I'd share - Ming Makes Cupcakes.

I love how she's cataloged her recipes in picture format so all you have to do it print them out and voila! your recipe cards are ready!

Below are my favorites - perhaps I'll try to bake these? I'll be calling my master cake baker friend Vickii for help though :)

This post is dedicated to my dear friend Vickii who is a fabulous baker and makes the most amazing cakes and cupcakes (visit her blog here). I have a serious sweet tooth case today but as opposed to indulging I've decided to make a list of all the cakes she owes me. Prada Eyewear - Minimal Baroque

I absolutely love these sunglasses from Prada. I think they are hot for the summer and I need to lay my hands on a pair. I love how they are more than just sunglasses - they are also pretty enough to display as art :)

The Prada website also has some gorgeous illustrations from various artists (Marcella Gutierrez, Andrea Tarella and Ivo Bisignano) with images of the Minial Baroque Sunglasses - below are my favs. So are you a fan of these shades?

Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty Exhibition at the MET NYC

A friend of mine who shall remain nameless when to see the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Exhibition at the Met Museum in New York City and decided to brag all about it. I absolutely love Alexander McQueen's (RIP) work so needless to say I'm dying to see it in person. I plan to go see it in 3 weeks and I'm dragging her along with me.

It was extended by a week and closes on August 7th so if you are in the city it needs to be on your list of to do's.

How cute are these pictures from the website I love my hair!!. They are part of a campaign created by Andrea Pippins directed at black woman to inspire them to love and embrace their natural hair. If I had a daughter I'd frame all three of these in her nursery - that's how much I love them. Andrea also has a creative/fashion blog called Fly that I visit quite often - definitely stop by!
