Do you like to hear the roar of an SVT Cobra? If this sounds like something that you would like to hear every time you crank up your car, then you need to start your search for Used Mustangs. You can start this search on the Internet and you may be surprised at just what you can find.

Your choice of a mustang of course depends on the model and year that you like the best.

Would you like a Cobra with that SVT package on it? What about a 5.0 with racing stripes and low profile tires? The choices that you have when it some to mustangs are plenty because they are such a wonderfully diversified sports car.

Many of the mustangs that you find that are used may have been ragged out by the former owners. If you want that big engine sound and power, but you do not know a lot about them, make sure to take someone along with you that does.
Many Used Mustangs are classic and have become the focus of many car collectors.

The design for the Mustang was based upon the Ford Falcon.

The Mustang was very popular when it was released years ago. In fact, it is still quite popular amongst new car buyers and collectors of older cars. After its release and due to its popularity, many car companies, such as Chevrolet, GM, and Toyota, released competing cars.

However, it is not quite as easy to find older models that are in great condition.

Instead, you should look to specialty shops and ask around at repair shops that regularly service customers with classic cars.

It may be possible to find a collector over the Internet who is willing to sell his or her Mustang.

Another option is to find a Mustang that is in reasonable condition and restore it. It will take some time and effort to find used Mustangs that are in really great condition, but it is possible. If you still have trouble finding the model you are after, consider purchasing a vehicle that is in decent condition and restoring it.

Read more at http://www.articlealley.com/article_1544528_31.html?ktrack=kcplink

Second hand cars

For some people, buying a car can be one of the biggest expenses they’ll ever face. These cays such car modifications usually consist of doing work on the vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU).
In early model cars this was done by changing the chip, but for later models, what is called chip tuning does not really change or modify the chip; rather, ecu tuning is done by updating software in the car’s computer.
This is done by using plug-in modules or finding a specialist car tuner who can either use an OBD flash tool or directly re-programme the circuit board. Audi tuning and bmw tuning should only be done by the specialist who understands such cars and has had years of training.
Highly qualified specialist should also be sought for Mercedes tuning and vw tuning, while Subaru tuning must also be done by those qualified to work on this type of car. By choosing specialist car tuners you will be able to expect and receive the good results you are looking for. Your car will perform better than it has ever done before, while still remaining within the regulations set by the manufacturers - and without posing an environmental hazard.
Car tuning originated in the earliest days of racing cars, when the engines were tuned for peak performance in the hopes of winning races. Tuning them included such tasks as setting the idle speed, adjusting the fuel/air mixture, adjusting the balance of the carburettor, and attending to the spark plugs, the distributor point gaps and ignition timing.
Cars these days are quite different, but still many engine parts are almost the same as in those early days. With the introduction of the electronic control unit many of these tasks are now automated, but there is still a need for periodic calibration.

Few Interesting Car- facts

Ever since the invention of automobiles, there had been continuous endeavors to invent new designs and technologies. This led to many events which later became important chapters of the history of the automobile industry by introducing new cars even in India.
The following are some of such car facts which include inventions, ideas and technologies which became pave stones in the making of latest car.
It was in 1782, the first engine crank was built . The man behind this revolutionary invention was James Watt whose improvements in the steam engine where fundamental to the changes brought by Industrial revolution in the Great Britain and the rest of the world.
The first toll roads in U.S where opened in Pennsylvania and Connecticut in the year 1792. This introduced quality high speed roads to existence.
Another major inventions which revolutionised modern automobile engines was of the spark plugand internal combustion engines. In 1858, Jean Joseph Lenoir invented a two stroke internal combustion engine fueled by coal gas and triggered by an electric spark-ignition.
Modern tyres are derived from the invention by Charles Goodyear , the vulcanised rubber in 1844.In 1895,Andre Michelin designed and fitted the first air filled tire to the motor car.
The complex laws and regulations for automobiles started in 1865 when speed restrictions introduced in UK. The act known as the “Locomotive act “, restricted the speed of horse-less vehicles to 4mph in the open country an 2mph in towns.
Karl Benz invented and patented radiators in 1885 for using in his first horseless carriage.
In the year 1887 the first car was offered for sale, it was by Benz. The event was the first road traffic death.
At the beginning of 20th century, there were only 8000 cars in the U.S and barely 25,000 cars worldwide. Surprisingly only around 20 cars in Tokyo at that time ! Amazing is the figure in 2002 where numbers show a growth of 21, 200% a whopping 530million cars world wide !!
As old is the history of auto racing as motor vehicles. As the cars underwent numerous technology changes, the fundamentals of auto racing too were subject to metamorphosis. The safety of shatter-proof glasses came into existence by its invention by Triplex in the year 1908.
Ford revolutionised the car manufacturing by introducing assembly line for their model Ford-T in the year 1908. The concept of assembly line was to produce automobiles with lesser effort and cost by making the process of production organised. It brought down the affordability of cars to the middle class which once was a plaything for the rich and elite. 15 million model Ts had been manufactured by 1927.
A patent for windscreen wipers was given to Gladstone adams in Britain in 1911 . The first cars fitted with electric windscreen wipers came to the market in 1922.
Americans Francis Davis and George Jessup invented hydraulic power steering system between 1920 and 1926. Chrysler imperial became the first production vehicle to be fitted with this system in 1952.
In 1929, the car radio was invented by Paul Gavin. He named it as 'Motorola'.
The first car to be fitted with an electrical turn indicator was a Buick in the year 1938.
Electric door locks where first introduced in 1956 , later in 1958 the first remote adjusted side view mirrors was introduced.
Soon the world realized the harmful effects of automobile pollution. The law on emission control was first introduced in california in 1965. After that many safety devices also became mandatory in vehicles.
In 1978 Bosch developed the first Antilock Braking System (ABS) and first appeared in trucks and cars by Mercedes-Benz. ABS helps the driver to maintain the control on the steering while braking.
Realizing the fast pace the crude reserves getting dry, major manufacturers started developing engines that use more than one fuel, the engines were known as hybrid engines. In 1997 Honda and Toyota were the first to introduce cars with hybrid engines. When one buy's the car never remembers the the brains behind the car technologies. It is all this latest innovation that helps to sell the cars in India or any country for that matter.
Following are few of the worlds' top selling cars
Toyota corolla: Had sold more than 35 million ( production started in 1966).Volkswagen Golf : Sold more than 25 million.Volkswagen Beetle: 21.5million cars sold till the production ceased by 2003.It is the best selling car in the world whose shape has remained the same as the original design.Ford Escort : More than 20 million cars produced during 1968-2003.Ford Model T : In a span of 19 years , more than 15 million cars were produced.

Classic Car Trader

If you're into classic cars and you want to buy one, being a "classic car trader" is going to help you get the best leg up so that you get the best deal possible. Here are some things to know when it comes to being a classic car trader.
Before you start
Before you start, determine, of course, what kind of car you want. Using the make, model and year, use the Kelley blue book to determine what the market value of the car is, depending on its condition. This will give you a base figure to work with when it comes to deciding what you should pay for a car.
Next, decide what you are going to use the car for. If you're going to use the car every day just for transportation, you probably don't need one in mint condition, and you'll be able to pay less. In addition, if part of the reason you're buying the car is so that you can work on it and bring it back to its original condition and restore it, that's another reason you won't need a perfect car. If you simply collect cars or you just want one that's in mint condition and you don't have any intention of trying to fix it up yourself, then you'll pay significantly more for a "good" to "mint condition" car.
Know what the problem areas are going to be
Just about every make, model and year of car has specific problems particular to it. In other words, there's just about no car model out there that gets away scot-free. So research the car model you want and make sure you know what problems you should be expecting. This will help you determine not just how expensive a car is going to be to buy, but how expensive it will be to keep. Again, this isn't necessarily going to be something you're particularly worried about if you want the car for itself as a showpiece and not for daily use, but it's still something you should know. It also may affect how much you pay for the car.
Classic car trader clubs
There are lots of clubs available based upon specific classic cars for people who have owned the type of vehicle you want. Joining one of these clubs (many of which exist online now) will help you know what you can buy and what you should stay away from.
Once you find the car you think you want
Remember that just as with any type of car purchase, previous owners can "pretty up" cars so that they look much better than they really are. Have a car appraiser look at the car before you buy. They'll probably be able to tell you whether or not the car's been in an accident, whether the engine is in good shape, whether the transmission is shot, and so on. If any of these things are true, this will lessen the value of the vehicle and therefore the price you pay. And of course, you may not want the vehicle at all once you find these things out.
Pull a used vehicle history report
You should be able to pull a used vehicle history report using the car's vehicle identification number to determine whether or not anything is wrong with it other than what you have been told. It will also tell you whether or not the car has been stolen (which happens sometimes) and how many people have owned it previously.
Knowing your way around the classic car trader environment will help you get the perfect classic car you want, based upon what you want to use it for. You shouldn't have to pay more for the car you want than it's worth; armed with a few simple facts, you won't have to.

2010 Lexus RX 350 is Impressive

While it is true that the 2010 Lexus RX 350 engine options are limited to only one available motor, the new and improved 2010 Lexus RX350 3.5 Liter V6 engine is designed to please and it is unlikely that any complaints will ever be made. The 3.5 Liter V6 delivers an impressive 275 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. Although the engine delivers an impressive 0 to 60 time of approximately 7.5 seconds, the fuel economy is surprisingly decent at 18 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway. The red line has been increased slightly and will allow the engine to operate up to 6400 RPM's.

Although lack of multiple different choices of engines might deter some prospective buyers from certain models, the 2010 Lexus RX350 3.5 Liter V6 engine is more than competent and delivers an impressive package. Most RX350s that are on the road will probably never be used for any type of towing, but the motor and transmission combination is well-equipped and designed to handle at least 3,500 pounds.

The 2010 Lexus RX350 Liter V6 engine is very similar to that found in the 2009 model, but improvements made to the exhaust and intake systems as well as minor changes to the cylinder heads have provided 5 extra horsepower and 6 extra pound-feet of torque. The five-speed automatic that was used in virtually all of the previous RX models has now been replaced and the 2010 Lexus RX350 boasts a six-speed automatic. One of the major benefits of the new changes that have been made is more power, and yet a better fuel economy is actually delivered as well.

The only drastic change that has occurred from the 2009 model to the 2010 Lexus RX350 is that the owner's manual now suggests the use of premium unleaded fuel in the 3.5 Liter V6 engine. If lower grades will be utilized, it is necessary to use ethanol free fuel. The fuel tank is the same as the 2009 model and will accommodate 19.2 gallons, which should deliver a range of nearly 500 miles while traveling on the highway. Another significant difference is the increased weight of the 2010 model over that of the 2009 model, but the engine has proven itself more than capable of handling the extra burden with ease and the fuel economy has not suffered in the process.

Ronnie is currently the lead researcher for SWEngines.com. I have always thought there is a certain charisma to cars that were built many decades ago that modern cars don't have. I'm not trying to say that new cars aren't pretty or anything like that. I like to look at and drive in new cars and old cars. In their own way, they both have beauty. It's too bad I'm not rich myself, or I would own hundreds of collectibles myself. Also, I wouldn't have storage space for them. But I can still look at other people's automobiles at antique car shows.

A vintage car exhibition is great fun and you should try one out some time. If you live in or near a large city, then there will be plenty of car show opportunities. Your local newspaper is a good source to check for any automobile exhibitions. At one time, a school yard near me was used for a car show. It was the only space that could be found by the organizer. So you see, true car lovers can't be stopped by a lack of display space. In some cases no shows are held close to home, so I will have to travel a greater distance.

There are also a lot of websites out there that will give you information about car shows. It helps to know where and when they are going to be held. Ofcourse, you also want to know what kind of cars will be on display. If the displayed vehicles aren't your cup of tea, then you might want to skip the show. Not every car show will have an entrance fee, so figure out if yours does. You'll want to find out how high the price is and how long it gives you access. Make sure to leave early if you want to get value for your entrance fee.

You may already have a subscription to a car magazine which you can check for any car show dates. The advertisements in those kinds of magazines will almost always have some information on the next car show. You'd think these magazines would give you all the info you need, but that is not always the case. Asking collector automobile owners for information on the next auto display, is also a good way of learning more. There's nothing these auto lovers don't know about classic car related stuff. The larger his collection, the greater the odds of him being able to tell you where the next show will be held!

If you would to learn more, please navigate to Second Hand Cars For Sale or Car Frame Repair.

Shipping a Classic Car

When shipping a classic car, a number of concerns come into play which aren't necessarily at the top of the list of things to worry about with regular auto shipping. Auto transport, especially of a classic car, requires particular care to make sure your classic car isn't damaged during shipping. With cars that have just rolled off an assembly line, you can be confident of being able to find a spare part if anything is damaged during transport; auto shipping of a classic car carries no such guarantees when it comes to finding replacement parts.

Experts recommend that before shipping your classic car, you make sure to document its condition. Get an estimate of its value before auto shipping takes place, this way you'll know that the insurance offered by your auto transport company will cover anything that might happen along the way.

Some people make the mistake of hiring others to drive their classic car a long distance to avoid paying for auto transport and getting involved with an auto shipping company. This is a bad idea, as the driver you choose is probably not going to be a professional auto transport professional, and because especially when considering the costs involved with owning and maintaining a classic car, having it out on the road making a long journey will likely decrease its value significantly - and that's assuming your driver doesn't have an accident or put your classic car in a situation where it is damaged.

The best way to ship a classic car is by using a closed trailer; these incorporate a covered freight area which allows you peace of mind, knowing that the auto transport of your classic car will arrive at its destination without having been exposed to the elements or to passing cars. Auto shipping costs may be slightly higher if you choose to ship your automobile or classic car this way, however, given the time and expense it can take to repair damage to a classic car, a little expense at the outset is far preferable to a big repair bill at the end of the trip.

Of course, the best thing to do is hire a good auto shipping company which has experience dealing with classic cars and knows how to treat your vehicle along the journey to ensure that it arrives safely at its destination. You want to be able to trust that your auto shipping company is taking care of your auto transport needs and looking out for both your peace of mind and the health of your classic car along the journey. Some people prefer to get personal recommendations from friends or colleagues when choosing an auto transport company to ship their classic car, but unless many of your friends own (and have transported) a classic car, this can be difficult.

The best way to find an auto shipping company in your area is to fill out the lead form below, which will give you details on a number of auto transport and auto shipping companies near you, particularly those with experience shipping your model of classic car or other similar classic autos. Once you've received your quotes, you'll be ready to start a dialogue with auto shippers in your area and shipping your classic car to its new home!

Credit card debt free

The main objective of the ideology governing the arbitration proceedings is that you expect to be treated in a non-biased environment in place to meet in the middle solution between you as a borrower and lender. As a result, you are entitled to be treated on an equal footing and equal entity as a creditor in the eyes of the law.

The reality is actually little different from the ideology. Arbitration is the lengthiest and most expensive solution to eliminate credit card debt. There are endless conditions that you signed in your application, credit cards, which won't you escape so easily and at the same level. It’s time to get out of debt and start living a debt free life.

It is the worst level of the financial scenario, where one is so restricted due to financial barriers; it becomes impossible to eliminate credit card debt consolidation. In this context, it is the best possible solution is to seek outside assistance from debt settlement.

The arbitration proceedings related to the credit card is very bad. If you lose the arbitration decision, you are obliged to pay all late fees, interest and appreciation of the main compound interest. Not only that, where once you feel that arbitration as a reasonable solution to eliminate credit card debt, a process that turns you into a payment of damages to arbitration costs, as claimed by your lender.

In many cases of medical emergency or incorrect billing pushes you into a scenario where it becomes impossible for you to eliminate credit card debt. But due to utter negligence and avoid claims of your creditors, you may end up as a debtor in terms of rights. Conversely, if you are debt Settlement Company on your side, you stand a chance to be treated for the same reasons. Procedural errors related to you on behalf of the creditors can often lead to pay costs and damages of the accident. Debt settlement company not only deals with the aspect of arbitration, but in most cases, doesn't let your case forward to the next level of the courtroom. Most of them are equipped to adequately address the conduct and settlement on their own level of your earnings.

The Advantages of Buying a Used Mini from a Dealership

When a person wants to purchase a Mini, many times they will opt to purchase a used one. However, the benefits to purchasing a used Mini from a dealer can be great, and most times a person looking at a used Mini purchased at a dealer will not know the difference and not new.

The major advantages of purchasing a used Mini at a dealership are quality and dependability. For example, if you were to purchase a Used Mini from a private, off the street dealer, it would not come with a warrantee of any kind. You buy it as it is, no matter what is wrong with it and have little or no recourse if something goes wrong with it. However, if you were to purchase the same car from a certified BMW Used Dealer, or a Cherished Mini, as they call it, it comes with the guarantee that the car will live up to all expectations. Because it is under warranty, in the event something is wrong with how it was manufactured there is specific recourse spelled out within the warranty. In addition, if your used Mini is in need of servicing, many times it is available free or at a discount, depending on the terms of the warranty.

Before a Cherished Mini is put up for sale as a dealer, it goes through rigorous testing. This means that if there is anything wrong with it, the dealer will not offer the car for sale in the first place. It will first make the necessary repairs, which are done by certified BMW mechanics. Only when the car can pass the rigorous testing and it becomes a certified used car will it be offered for public sale. Purchasing a used Mini from a dealer makes sure that the public is safe and the car i9s as close to perfect as it can be, no matter what the cost to the dealer.

The mileage of a car is always something to be worries about. When purchasing a car from a private seller, there is no easy way of telling if the odometer was tampered with or not. You have no way of knowing if the stated mileage is real or not. However, if you make a purchase form a certified BMW used Mini dealer, you are assured the mileage stated is real. This can also in part lower the safety risks in the future.

Another great benefit of purchasing a used Mini from a dealer is the pricing. Many times, you can trade in your old car for the used Mini, which then in turn lowers the final pricing. The savings can, many times, end up being much lower than if you were to purchase the car from a private owner. This is because the private owner does not offer trade in pricing and the final price you pay id the original price the private person wanted. The bottom line is purchasing a used Mini from a dealership offers many more benefits in regards to safety and price than if you were to buy from a private seller.

Chris Tyrrell writes for Stephen James an award winning BMW MINI Dealer.

For more information please visit www.evolve-technik.com.au.

Tonneau Cover Maintenance and Cleaning Guides

Tonneau covers (like GM Tonneau Cover) are made of leather, vinyl or other soft flexible materials used for protecting the interior of a convertible when the soft top is down. Tonneau covers are also used in pickup trucks to protect the luggage or other stuff placed at the truck's bed from dirt particles and other foreign objects.

To prolong the usage and function of tonneau covers, you should check it regularly for wear outs, looseness, and other debris caught on the cover. Check mounting hardware regularly to insure that all bolts or clamps are tight. Lit is also recommended that you lubricate the locks regularly with a quality Teflon or silicone spray by using a can with an insertable plastic tube. Best of all, check the manufacturer of the tonneau cover for specific maintenance and cleaning guides since there are several tonneau cover designs and types.

When cleaning your tonneau cover, make sure to clean your vehicle and cover in shaded place like under a tree or in an open garage. Start by washing your lid with cool, clean water and a mild soap. Make sure to first flood the lid with water to remove surface grit that will scratch the finish when wiped. Next, using a hose, rinse the cover well making sure to remove all traces of soap and wipe off excess water using a sponge. Be careful to hose down the entire car to prevent soap from streaking your car's paint finish. Do not use chemicals like detergents, dish washing liquids, bleaches, harsh cleansers, strong cleaners, dry-cleaning solvents, or any other strong chemicals as a cleanser. These chemicals can have harmful substances on its mixture that could damage your tonneau covers. Moreover, avoid using hot water when cleaning the cover.

If you have a vinyl tonneau cover, apply some quality vinyl cleaner that you can find in the nearest auto shop. Using a white all-cotton towel, wash the entire tonneau cover with the cleaner. Make sure to follow the instructions found on your chosen cleaner to help you out in your work and to avoid damaging your tonneau covers. Wash the entire tonneau cover and never spot clean to avoid rings or bright spots on your tonneau covers. Make sure that you will only use soft cotton cloth or sponge as a cleaning tool. Do not use rough abrasive cleaning pads because it can scratch the vinyl creating pores that allows dirt and other unwanted particles to stick.

Repeat the cleaning process if you feel that you haven’t done enough and the tonneau cover is still dirty.

Classic Cars That Have Been Restored

While classic cars are still used for daily transportation, often as taxis, they have also become cherished heirlooms handed down from generation to generation within families, in some cases going all the way back to the 1930. Of the 60,000 autos in Cuba, about half are from the 1950, another 25 percent from the 1940 and a similar number from the 1930. About 150,000 of them existed at the time of the 1959 Cuban Revolution when the U.S. imposed a trade embargo on Cuba. Most owners spend hours applying waxes and polishes and basking in the praise and admiration of passers by. Although there are more in the US overall, an American would have to go to Cuba to see a concentration of filling the streets like a snapshot of 1950 USA come to life. The Future for muscle automobile in Cuba Each day they get closer to extinction. And are extremely valuable, utmost care should be given to it. The muscle autos came after the Vintage era.

Some of the popular names of classic cars include the following. Cuban are increasingly aware of the value, particularly when visiting American become nostalgic about them. Timeless, this is how they are often described. Some of the old autos have radios that actually still work while the older ones never do. It has paved way for the creation. 1916-1924 is the age for antique autos. Antique and Vintage automobiles are being collected now more than ever. Many collectors base their prices on a price guide. The hobby of collecting antique automobiles can be fun and enjoyable, and it can also incredibly rewarding, especially financially. And there are many debates on how Vintage automobiles should be defined. Buying and restoring is a popular hobby for many car enthusiasts but is rarely a straightforward task. If possible take someone with you who knows a lot about Vintage automobiles as they will know what to ask and what to look out for from rust to whether you will be able to find cheap car insurance for the vehicle.

People can carry on looking at classic cars, meeting fellow fanatics and maybe even finding insurance. Quite simply, they have the highest theft rate in the country, making a very difficult and expensive to insure. First of all, it is much harder to value than a regular car. You will find a selection for sale at the show with all tastes and budgets being catered. Looking back and reading is just like reliving the days when these autos were still roaming the streets and roads. One of the biggest reasons are so hard to insure is that they are highly targeted by thieves. Anyone who owns a vintage vehicle or a collection of stylish one knows that a standard automobile insurance policy can not adequately cover the specific needs of someone who drives a vehicle. The reasons for this fact will be obvious to an agent who understands the needs, but for an agent who is not experienced with these kinds of customers it can be a difficult fact to swallow.

Classic cars that have been restored in most details or are well maintained and preserved appeal to any observer, not just the enthusiast. And their auto parts are a tradition of this country. From antique to junk or salvage automobiles, your donated car may earn you a nice tax deduction, and help make a big difference in the lives of others. And are surely attention grabbers since their original design is really unique compared to most modern autos. These models sure make heads turn and they come with interesting stories too. Regardless, no matter what your taste, whether it is for muscle cars, antiques or vintage models, if you know where to begin looking then with a little digging you can find what you need.

Car Maintenance Tips – tyre checks to be aware of

It is important to regularly check that your car tyres are in good working order. It can be dangerous to drive your car with very worn tyres and also when they are under inflated due to issues with grip and handling. Tyre pressure is very important so you should check your car manual for the recommended tyre pressure as this varies with different models of cars. The correct pressure can also often be found inside the petrol filler cap. Top up your tyres with air at least once a month and ensure that the spare tyres are checked as well and topped up to the right pressure so that they are ready if and when you should need them.

Motorists can buy a tyre pressure gauge from motor supplies shops so you don’t need to rely on going to the garage to check this. These are generally available at reasonable prices and they are very useful to check when your tyres are due for a replacement.

Check the tyres for wear and tear, including cuts or bulges. Also check that the correct tread depth is in place. This is generally 1.6mm across the central ¾ reserve of the tyre and around the outer circumference.

Many of us know how inconvenient it can be to change a tyre, especially if you do it yourself instead of calling your breakdown service. There are four items that you should carry with you to help make the experience of changing a tyre when you are on a journey as stress-free as possible. These include a pair of gloves to keep the hands warm and clean and a couple of old sheets of cloth. One of these sheets can be put down on the road to help keep your clothes clean and the other to wrap up the dirty tyre before putting it back into the boot. An anorak will also be handy if you end up having to change a tyre in the rain as well as a fully recharged or even re-chargeable torch in case you have to do it in the dark.

Other essential tools you should make sure you carry with you in the car include a wheel nut key to remove the security bolts fitted to some car tyres. Practice doing this process in your own driveway or garden as this is a better place to learn than in the dark or rain on a busy road side. This will help you to learn where all the main things are including the jacking points on the underside of your car.

Advance Tips for finding vintage cars and cheap cars on Autobuynsell

Simple advance tips and suggestions to help you find how to sell or buy vintage cars and cheap cars on Autobuynsell. There are various cars available in the car world which is never less than wonders. It introduced a new era of modernism for BMW, but at a hefty price that few could afford. It drove as well as it looked, too, with a top speed of nearly 120mph. The 503 Coupé was designed primarily for the American market, but sadly, it was far too expensive to take off, and a mere 412 were built. The outcome was disastrous for BMW, which teetered on the edge of bankruptcy by the end of the 1950s. Really just a great vintage drive over all.

BMW Cars

The BMW or (Bavarian Motor Works) car first made it's debut in the year 1916, when the first vehicle as rolled off the assembly line. Of course it would be many decades until this line of luxury and high performance vehicles would take it's rightful place as possibly the most highly recognized name in high end cars on the road today.

BMW is well recognized for the wide variety of vehicles that they manufacture, which has allowed them to dominate in several distinct sectors of the automobile market. In fact, they solidified their dominance with the introduction of the X-5 SAV series of Sports Activity Vehicles in 1999 to represent MBW in they highly competitive SUV market, which this series has done quite well.

Since then, BMW has followed up with the X-6 series of Sports Activity Coup, which gained a fast reputation as a reliable, high performance, very “in demand” sports vehicle. BMW plans on introducing yet another addition to their SAV line with the Concept X1, which is expected to be the most expensive and highest performing of all their Sports Utility Vehicles as of yet.

BMW introduced the public to their 3rd series or what is also known as their executive class line of vehicles in 1975. They are currently in their third generation and are synonymous with luxury and performance, as well as their easily recognizable distinct smooth lines. The current 5th generation of BMW third series includes but of course is not limited to the E92, the E91 Family Wagon and the E90 luxury performance sedan.

Due to the incredibly positive reception that their 5th generation 3rd series vehicles have received worldwide, BMW now offers them with a wide range of unique feature options. These include amenities such as a DVD player with four separate LCD screens, remote engine start system and DMW high performance headlights.

Quite possible the most visible line or series of BMW vehicles is the (i coup), with one of their most popular being the BMW 135i, currently priced in the area of $35,000. For over two now decades owning and driving a BMW from the i coup series has been one of the best ways for a young professional living in the US, Canada or Europe to announce to the world that they have finally achieved a measurable degree of success in their chosen occupation.

Due to the incredibly wide range of vehicles in the complete BMW line that range in price from highly affordable to pricey high end luxury sedans vehicles, BMW's tend to appeal to an equally wide range of car owners. Not only are BMW's recognized for their comfort and drivability but they also carry with them a well earned repudiation for reliability that keeps them out of repair shops.

Also, in recent years Luxury BMW sedans have become increasingly popular as a vehicle of choice for limousine conversions. Of course as car buyers become increasingly aware of the need for fuel efficiency in a luxury vehicle, BMW engineers have been busy making their cars even more fuel efficient then they already were so well known for being.

Car Safety: Protecting Precious Lives

Car safety is a critical component in the design of any new car nowadays, and no manufacturer will have a license to build and sell cars, if they don’t comply with all the car safety aspects. With the increase in technology and the resultant conveniences in our lives, the aspect of safety too has come to the fore. This is especially true in the case of automobiles.

Car safety takes on several forms in this technological era. While the person driving the car is still responsible for adhering to driving safety regulations, increasingly, small computers and micro processors are taking on the role of the car safety keepers. All cars nowadays come with a certain degree of automation, and when it concerns car safety, these aspects are mandatory.

Gone are the days when the safety of the car depended on the individual driving it. That was probably restricted to them old vintage cars, when moving along was the critical component. But with the ever increasing number of cars on our roads and the heightened speed limits at which they drive along, car safety is no longer an option. It has become a critical aspect of the car manufacturing process itself. Not only that, it has become compulsory by law as well!

The auto pilot function for instance is one such example. By enabling the car to drive itself on open stretches, it ensures that drivers don’t feel the need to take their eyes off the road. Rather, they enable the driver to rest, thereby making for an enhanced driving experience, by taking on some of the monotonous aspects of driving on themselves.

Seat belts and crash balloons have almost become a permanent fixture inside all cars, even in lesser developed countries. Most countries nowadays have specific regulations pertaining to the use of car safety features like the seat belt and the crash balloon. In fact, some countries often issue hefty fines to drivers and passengers who drive without latching themselves in.

But car safety is often more than cosmetic. Manufacturers of cars nowadays have to test the car in a variety of possible scenarios in order to ensure that factors like crash zone, damage control and the like are minimized. The good news is that by using these tips with caution you could soon be at the wheel of the car of your dreams. Some of which may be as old as the car you're about to buy.

Ask yourself if you can really afford a vintage or classic, remembering that if something breaks it could end up costing a small fortune in repairs. This is especially true of rare or exotic vehicles. Parts may be hard to find, thus the car could be out of service for a lengthy period. Can you handle repairs on your own? Got the talent and experience for restoration? Great... but if not, be prepared to dig deep.

Always have a "reserve" set aside for unexpected repair costs. A friend who restores and sells collector cars suggests a minimum of at least $3000. More if the car is a rare exotic. But then, if you're buying a Bugatti or a Deusenberg, you probably don't need our advice.

Will your vintage or classic be an "everyday driver?" Daily use puts a strain on old parts and systems. Not that a collector car can't be driven regularly but it had better be dependable; something that starts on demand, can be readily repaired, has parts that are easy to find. Along with a driver who can afford the price of breakdowns.

If you are planning to drive your vintage beauty on public roads keep in mind that it was built for a different time; slower traffic, less highway congestion, more tolerant drivers. Those old drum brakes may not be adequate for a panic stop in modern traffic so learn to adapt. Non-power steering will require muscle. Earlier power steering systems are slow and sloppy. Turn signals, if they exist, might be invisible to traffic accustomed to big, bright blinkers.

It may be necessary to arrange special insurance for a collectible. Be aware that older cars do not have the anti-theft devices or the serial number database of newer cars. Hot-wiring an older car is child's play.

And finally, though this may seem repetitive, get your financial ducks in order before you begin. Falling in love with a car and making a commitment without sufficient planning is, if you'll forgive a cliché, a recipe for disaster.

If you've done it right, as suggested above, you can have the fun of searching for that dream car. And that, indeed, can be a lot of fun. Just be cautious, be prepared to pull back and wait if necessary, perhaps even accept a little less than what you'd planned.

Classic Car Insurance - 6 Questions to Ask Before You Apply

Are you ready to shop for classic car insurance? Maybe, maybe not. Before you pick up the phone, let's take a minute to review the six questions you need to consider before you talk with an agent.

Essentially, your agent is going to want to know how much the car is used and how you plan to maintain it. Knowing the answers to these questions will save you time on the phone -- and put you in a much better position to negotiate the best insurance coverage for your classic honey.

1. Do you plan to insure the car for what you feel it's really worth? Your agent will undoubtedly ask how much insurance coverage you are seeking -- if your personal opinion of value is higher than the vehicle's appraised value, you may want to consider a higher level of coverage.

2. Do you plan to participate in car club events? If so, you need to consider the amount of liability you can incur in such events. A classic car that is stored 365 days a year has much less potential for liability claims than a car that is driven regularly in parades and other event.

3. Are you planning an extended period of renovation for the car? If so, do you need to insure the car while it's off the road?

4. Do you plan to ship the car any time soon? If so, additional coverage may be warranted since the car will be outside of your control.

5. How many miles a year do you expect to drive the car? If these miles are limited, you may be able to negotiate a lower premium. Be sure to ask about any maximum mileage limitations. An annual restriction of 2,500 miles may be imposed by your car insurance company.

6. Who will be repairing or maintaining the car? Again, if the car is outside of your control, you may want to consider higher theft and damage coverage. On the flip side, if you personally maintain the car within secure confines on your property, you may want to pay for minimal coverage.

The answers to all of these questions need to be considered before you decide how much coverage is warranted for your classic car. Also, car owners should be aware that some insurance companies specialize in classic car insurance. But as with any car insurance policy, it's best to get quotes from several insurance providers before making a decision.

Hopefully, by carefully considering the answers to the six questions we've discussed, you'll be prepared to shop for the best coverage for your classic car.

You may want to visit the website recommended below to get at least five quotes for your classic car insurance.

Mustang Headlights For A Modern Classic

No nation has had such a raging romance with cars as the U.S. of A. The For Four was based on a front-engine, front drive Mitsubishi platform rather than the rear engine For Two architecture. AutoExpress is reporting that Smart may be getting ready to introduce a new four-seat variant, this time based on a stretched version of the existing model. The so-called For Two + 2 would be meant to compete more directly with the numerous small city cars coming from Toyota, Volkswagen, Audi and others in the next couple of years. Unlike most of the
others, the ForTwo +2 would feature rear hinged back doors to ease access to the second row. The new model probably won’t hit the market until 2012, but will almost certainly include an electric version along with the usual gas and diesel versions. Car Blog Green Info

Pontiac Models Old and New Leave Great Memories

Pontiac is arguably the best all around car that General Motors ever produced. Although, it is fair to say that the Cadillac and to some extent the Buick were more readily identified as luxury automobiles, the Pontiac has always been far more than a performance machine.

To the younger generation, the Firebird and its performance cousin the Trans Am are probably the models most readily identified with the brand, but Pontiac dealers (of those that remain!) can certainly testify to the early, glory days of the GTO.

In recent years, there was a tremendous amount of favorable press for the original launch of the Pontiac G6 and the subsequent arrival of the updated G8, both updates of the classic Pontiac performance car of bygone days.

And it is certainly lamentable that General Motors pulled the plug on the entire Pontiac brand before the general public could become more aware and knowledgeable about these significant new entrants into the Pontiac family, and before their true sales potential could be reached.

While General Motors may have pulled the plug on the brand, Pontiac can live on forever through our memories, which are now all the more poignant knowing the clock is ticking on this classic car brand.

When Henry Ford first started manufacturing automobiles, the idea was to produce a car that would transport people from one place to another, be easy to maintain and be affordable by working people. Prior to Ford's era, cars were luxury toys for the rich and famous. Such car features as style, design, and image had no part in Ford's plant in 1927.

Fast forward to the 1970's when cars were now designed to project an image. And car manufacturers advertised to the image.

America has always been a youth oriented society. And from the days of the frontier, individual freedom has always been prized in America. So the Pontiac Firebird TransAm projected both images - young and free.

The TransAm was a muscle car. It must be a small car with a stylish exterior and a big engine. The Trans Am met both criteria.

While it has a long cinema career, there are two films that stand out. Burt Reynolds talked a friend into driving the truck. Keeping Sheriff Justice occupied and distracting his attention away from the truck involved many car chases and mishaps.

Yet, these stunts were so rigorous that all of them were damaged during the shooting of the film.

It is rumored that, prior to the filming, a high level Pontiac executive offered Burt Reynolds a free Pontiac Firebird if the movie was a hit. However, when Reynolds went to collect his prize, the executive had retired and his replacement refused to honor the agreement.

Read more detailed reviews about 1999 pontiac, new pontiac cars, and pontiac engine

Honda Electric Car On Sale In U.S. By 2015

Honda may be the next major automaker to announce plans for a new-generation of electric vehicles, with news coming out of Japan that the company is planning to introduce the zero-emission vehicles in the U.S. market by 2015.

The information was first reported by Japan’s Nikkei news daily and followed by a report from Kyodo News. The prototype is tipped to fit into the minicar segment and come powered by an electric motor running on lithium-ion batteries.

Key rivals Toyota and Nissan have already unveiled all-electric prototype vehicles, Nissan most recently with its LEAF, which will go on sale in the U.S. late next year.

Honda, on the other hand, has been concentrating on gasoline-electric as well as hydrogen fuel-cell models. Already on sale is the hydrogen-powered FCX Clarity and next year we should see two brand new Honda gasoline-electric models in the form of the CR-Z and Fit hybrids. The web master at Book Car Values told me about this electric car when I was telling him how expensive petrol has become.

2010 BMW 5-Series Gets A Swirly [Spy Photo]

Although swirly-camo-ed, it’s possible to see the overall shape of the new 2010 BMW 5-Series from these new shots taken near Kitzbuhel, Austria. We can see that the front gets the most dramatic change over the outgoing car. What else? With an extended kidney grille and headlamps (which are certain to feature BMW’s now signature eyebrows) sweeping around the front wings the 5’s face looks to resemble its Z4 and 7 Series relatives the closest, the bonnet in particular looking similar

to the multi-contoured item that features on BMW’s latest Z4 Roadster. Expected to be on sale in 2010, I am not too sure what its car book value will be but the new 5-Series should debut at a motor show soon, with a late November web unveil and a live unveil at the LA Auto Show the most likely candidate for the new model reveal.

Also check out the X6 ActiveHybrid
