He discussed wills, trusts under wills, and trusts under trusts. I was thrilled to finally learn exactly what a living trust was...versus a living will. We also learned that if you have less than $2 million, you are not subject to estate taxes! I'll have to keep my wealth under that amount, I suppose...

At any rate, it really was a well presented program that was worth all the attendees time. If you missed it at Paseo, we're having it again at the Malcolm Library on Wednesday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m., and again at the Gibson Library on Tuesday, November 13th at 7:00. Please join us!

OneBook Discussion at Barnes & Noble

Last night we had an off-site book discussion of The Five People You Meet in Heaven. The discussion was held at the Barnes & Noble on Stephanie. I arrived about 20 minutes early, supplies in hand. Imagine my surprise when I saw a big poster on the sidewalk, advertising the discussion, and my name on the poster in huge letters!

Unfortunately, turnout was low. I had one participant, Esther. We had a great time talking, though, for about 45 mintues. She and I have a mutual friend, and she was the elementary music teacher of a colleague of mine...it's a small world. We talked about The Five People as well as other books we like to read in our respective book clubs.

I want to thank Melissa at B&N for the tremendous setup she orchestrated. We had cookies, coffee, and again, those glorious signs!

If you missed this one, please join my boss, Janet, at The Starbucks at 1500 N. Green Valley Parkway at 7:00, October 16. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be there, too!

One Book Henderson 2007

Henderson Libraries Presents One Book Henderson 2007 in partnership with the City of Henderson.
Welcome to Henderson's first One Book celebration.
