What do you think is the worst job on earth?

I’m the bog log under dog,

Buuuut I’m not a rapper and I’m not a 100m sprinter. But you can see why I’m an internet nerd right? I’m a real underdog when it comes to being cool. I’ve never been cool. I’m like the Milhouse of my family let alone friends!

I’m glad I can move on now to the winner of the last competition, it wasn’t easy but I have to choose the best of the bunch. Rebecca’s entry was the best of the bunch! Congratulations Rebecca with a fabulous entry:

Want to know why I love the Olympics? Oh… Well I’m going to tell you anyway.

It’s because if my country (Australia) was the same size as the US - we’d have something like 150 medals by now. I like being a part of a permanently (down)underdog country. It gives me something to hope for and then an excuse once we don’t win! It’s like two perfect worlds smashed together (although why would they if they were perfect?) and created Australia - land of the not-really-perfect-small-population-but-cool-anyway country.

I can see how you agree.

Being an underdog, there are a few things that you need to know to make yourselves look/feel better. One is that no matter how hard you try Michael Phelps will always win. So put your worst swimmers in those races and your best in the races he’s not in. That way you look better!

The second - and more important - is about the medal tally. This is how it works: the colour of the medal doesn’t matter, all you need is a medal. Say the US gets 90 gold medals and China gets 90 gold medals and Australia gets just 90 medals (87 of which are bronze) then being an underdog that’s EQUAL to China and the US. In effect you were as good as if not better than the other countries because look at your small population! It’s an amazing feat. The colour doesn’t mean anything - just the numbers.

Your answer could be sport but it doesn’t have to - because you could just be an internet fatty who doesn’t play sport or care about their health. Feel free to answer in any way you like

What was in your wallet?

Apparently some people are quite ‘light on’ when it comes to their wallets. I keep returning to one entry though that brings out a sentiment I’ve been feeling a lot lately. The fear of looking. Even though I am in complete control of things (well not really at all but it’s nice to feel like you can do something) I often feel out of control and so our winner is thus :

I am scared to look
because of what I might find
old receipts, coins, bills,and never you mind.

Which reminds me… I have to do my tax… *shudder*

I’ve got a photo of my wife. She gave me the photo to put in there and then months later says ‘that’s not a very good photo of me - take it out’. Whaaat? But you gave it to me! *sigh*

Is this your wallet?

Kim sent in a corny poem about vegetables yesterday and with that she wins a dollar! It’s really that easy. Kim’s now a rich rich winner. All thanks to this entry about her favourite vegetable.

Corn is the vegetable I can’t detest.
It’s even there when I digest.
Although I love corn, it can be shy.
I once found it hiding in my sheppards pie.

Since we’ve gone all kiddy-like again, we’re going to continue the theme and head into Playschool/Sesame Street territory. Of all the things that I like to do - eating vegetables is one of them.

I always eat my vegetables first because I love them so much, and if I go back for seconds I usually pile them up high on my plate! In fact, a rhyme I remember from my childhood goes like this, it was quite silly but it’s one of my favourites:

I eat my peas with honey,
I’ve done it all my life.
it makes them taste funny,
but it keeps them on the knife!

Are you that enthusiastic about your vegetables? My sister in law doesn’t really like them - a problem when she was a vegetarian!

Oh those were the days indeed! I think most of the time I was at school - a place I loved to be. I’d relish going to the canteen (tuck shop?) and buying a 20c iceblock during lunch time. Or when my mum came on to canteen we’d be able to spend something like $2! Woohoo! ALL THE MONEY YOU WOULD EVER NEED!

You could buy anything with $2. I don’t know why that guy at school used to get $50 pocket money every week - that’s just crazy.

Here’s a question for those who care, would you believe me if I said that the youngest person to ever have a child was a 5 year old?
