For some time now I have been thinking about how I am going to paint the resin cars that I build which has led to me doing some research into acrylic (water based) and enamel (oil-based) paints. It seems that oil-based paints contain toxic substances so I would prefer to use acrylic paints.

Today, I thought that it would be a good idea to do some preliminary research on point motors for use as lane changers. Point motors are commonly used in model railway train sets to remotely control model   railway points.
