This park maintained by the City of Edmonds is also home of an underwater park set up by the city for coldwater diving.

Brackett's Landing is to the right of the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry terminal (as you enter the Ferry to leave Edmonds). There you'll see the ferry come and go, smell the salty air and the aroma of Indian cuisine all mixed together, and hear the seagulls fight for bread as visitors feed them.

My photo journal gives you a quick over view of what you would see if you made a visit to the park.

On this day I was lucky that we were having wonderful weather. Most of the planes are destined to stay at the hanger or go into a static museum installation. But while they are at the MofFR they are available to be seen up close and personal while the pieces are the most naked.

If you're lucky, like I was, you get to talk to one of the volunteers, and they will fill your head with more information you ever thought you'd ever want to know about a FM-2 Wildcat.

But once they are done, you walk away with a great sense of appreciation for the work these individuals are accomplishing.

My kudos to all who have contributed to making this museum possible.

Below is the link to my photo tourist slideshow of the Wildcat.

Hope you are inspired to visit this facility and get close to history.

<a href="http://www.daniali.com/photos/MofFR_Wildcat/" My wife had a dentist appointment, and I had to watch our 3 year old during my lunch hour. But never fear, I took sleeping Bijan with me, and did some drive by shootings (with my camera of course). Today I drove to Forest Park in Everett, Washington to visit the Animal Farm. Did I get a surprise!

On the way there I saw a beautifully restored Kenworth Fire Truck, and on the way back stopped at the Harbor View Park. This trip was shorter and than yesterday. But I think there are some great photos of the surroundings anyways.

Direct Link

Be the tourist and check out my other photo expeditions today.

Windy Mukilteo Washington

Today at lunch I went to the waterfront in Mukilteo, Washington.
