Fri, 07 Mar 2014 18:16:03 -0500

A dear old friend fell victim to a house fire this past week. Thankfully she and her dog got out safely, but her home and possessions were lost.

In posting this image, I am offering this original illustration in a timed raffle. All money raised will go towards helping Sandy get back on her feet.

To enter the raffle, simply send $20 via paypal to scott@scottbramble.com be sure your name and contact info are filled out in the “message” section.
If you want more than one chance at the raffle, the first chance is $20, but each chance after is only $5. For instance, $30 will earn 3 chances and $40 will earn 5 and so on.

The last day of the raffle will take place at the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market on March 30. (Check out @trentonprfm for event details. It’s a great time for sure!) After the TPRFM I will print out all of the participant’s names, cut them out, and pull the winners name from a hat. Nice and simple.

Please share, every little bit helps.
Thanks!
-Scott

This is the painting I submitted to @lefthandblackstudio ’s group art show titled “Till Death” that opened last night. It was an honor to be a part of it. If you are anywhere near San Diego, do yourself a favor and check out their show. The photos they are posting already prove it was an incredible showing!

This painting is called “The misery of Violet Whaley” Violet’s story is a true part of San Diego’s History. The shortened version is:
Two weeks into Violet’s marriage, as the couple was traveling back east on their honeymoon, she awoke one morning to find her husband gone. Violet and George’s divorce was finalized approximately a year later. Violet never recovered from the public humiliation and betrayal and suffered from depression. She committed suicide by shooting herself in the chest with her father, Thomas’s, 32-calibre on August 18, 1885. She was then 22 years of age. Her suicide note reads thus:
Mad from life’s history,
Swift to death’s mystery;
Glad to be hurled,
Anywhere, anywhere, out of this world.

This is the painting I submitted to @lefthandblackstudio ’s “Till Death” group art show that opened last night. I wish I could have been there. If you live anywhere near San Diego, this show is an absolute MUST SEE!

The painting is called “The misery of Violet Whaley.” And is based on the true story of a woman’s tragic death in San Diego in 1885.

public humiliation and betrayal caused a deep depression. Violet committed suicide by shooting Mad from life’s history,
Swift to death’s mystery;
Glad to be hurled,

Glad to be hurled,

I ended my guest spot at @lefthandblackstudio by getting to do this one. This definitely was a great way to cap off a diverse handful of particularly fun tattoos. Now I’m off to get a day of sightseeing and enjoying San Diego with @crystalmcdeath and @lefthandblack ! The best hosts a fellow could ask for. …. Then I leave this perfect weather for a pending snow storm on the home front. #blackandgreytattoo #guestartist #lefthandblack #sandiegotattoo #mercurytattoo #biomechtattoo #girlswearingbirdskullsareworthavoiding
