God knows that you can bear the trouble.” “Have faith in God!” “With God, all things are possible.” But your brother or sister will immediately send you money to ease you out of trouble. The Bible says, “A true friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” (Proverb 17:17, TLB).

“A true, hearty, faithful friend loves in times of adversity, as well as in times of prosperity. There are many that are friends to persons, while they are in affluent circumstances. But when there is a change in their condition, and they are stripped of all riches and substance, then their friends forsake them, and stand at a distance from them, as was the case of Job. It is a very rare thing to find a friend that is a constant lover to sympathize with his brother in distress, to relieve him, comfort and support him. And if he does not do this, when it is in his power to do it, he does not answer the end of his being born into the world.”

“A brother is more than friend. He stands to one nearer than a friend does. And there is no name of friend that sounds dearer than David and Jonathan. A friend always loves, but a brother is born to share trouble.”

There is a friend who remains to be a friend, and there is a friend who becomes your brother or sister. On the other hand, a relative can just be a friend, and there is also another who is really close to the heart.

“So, it is not the multitude of so called friends that helps us. They may only embarrass and perplex. What we treasure is the one whose love is stronger and purer even than all ties of kindred (Proverb 18:24).”

Exercise Thyself Rather Unto Godliness

http://onenessapostolicfaith.weebly.com/gallery/exercise-thyself-rather-unto-godliness

http://onenessapostolicfaith.weebly.com/gallery/exercise-thyself-rather-unto-godliness#comments

Godliness

holiness

"But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (I John 2:15). “Abstain from all appearance of evil” (I Thessalonians 5:22).

We want to find some basic guidelines and then apply them to modern day situations that did not confront Christians in Bible days. There are a number of activities that fundamental and conservative Christians have classified as worldly. We want to take a close look at these beliefs with a view toward provoking thought and discussion. Are they merely traditions or are there important principles of holiness involved?

For some of the specific issues, there are no scriptures that speak directly to the point in question. In these cases we must follow basic principles of holiness as given by the Bible, and we must be led by the Spirit in us. We must decide
as a fellowship, as pastors, and as individuals where to take a stand and where to draw a line.

We have the urgent need for personal convictions. As taught in I Corinthians 8:1-13; 10:23-33; and Romans 14:1-23, we have Christian liberty but also Christian responsibility. These scriptures give instructions on how to deal with doubtful
things that are not otherwise covered in the Word of God. First, we must follow the convictions that God gives us personally. At the same time, we should not do anything that might cause someone else to misunderstand, to stumble, or to fall. This means we should not judge one another, or belittle the convictions of others, or take our Christian liberty too far. From the discussion of eating food offered to idols, we discover that there are some things which are harmless in themselves but are nevertheless unwise because of their effect or impression on a weaker brother or an unbeliever. Appearances and associations are important both in the sight of man and of God.

There are many things that God’s Word clearly teaches against and designates as sin. Of course, there are also many activities in which Christians can and do participate. The problem comes in borderline areas. Our guiding philosophy in these areas will be “When in doubt, don’t do it.” “Whatsoever is not of faith is sin” (Romans 14:23). The question we want to ask is, “What would Jesus do in this case?” “What would we do if Jesus was physically accompanying us or visiting us?” Our objective is not to see how close we can get to the world and still be saved, or how many worldly things we can do and still not be considered a backslider. Rather, we want to be sure that we are doing God’s will at all times and that we are always identified with God in the eyes of others. Where there is temptation and a possibility of sin, “it is better to be safe than sorry.” Besides, as we draw closer to God in prayer, dedication, and holy living, we will not want to do anything that might identify us with the world or that would be unpleasant to Him.

In order to get to specifics, we must find out what it means to be worldly or to love the world. When the Bible says, “Love not the world,” it is speaking of the world system—the attitudes, desires, loves, cares, and priorities of sinful, unregenerated man. It is difficult to give a more precise definition, but all those who have the Spirit in their lives should
be able to recognize the feeling of worldliness in many things. We will try to examine this concept in terms of worldly amusements, worldly atmosphere, and worldly appearance.

According to Your Purpose

http://onenessapostolicfaith.weebly.com/gallery/according-to-your-purpose

http://onenessapostolicfaith.weebly.com/gallery/according-to-your-purpose#comments

evangelism

Dear Lord Jesus, here is my small and simple way of reaching out the world and preaching Your gospel. Not too many, not too big an impact, but the point has been driven to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ into the world (Mark 16:15-16). Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into union with Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore, through baptism we were buried with him into his death so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father's glory, we too may live an entirely new life (Romans 6:3-4). Yes! This is the same gospel message that we declare in this website. Some of you have received this message and you continue to base your life on it. This gospel is God’s way to save you. But you must continue believing it. If you don't, you believed for nothing. I don’t need to put any neon lights into the gospel message. Its simplicity has made the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. Its foolishness of preaching after God’s good pleasure has saved them that believe. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

You might have only visited this website or you just liked a post in the networking site or you shared its link to a friend. Thank you, whoever you are! God is fair. He won't forget what you've done or the love you've shown for him. You helped his holy people, and you continue to help them (Hebrews 6:10). The important thing here is that you are becoming a channel in reaching out the lost world, in teaching all nations, in proclaiming the gospel to the whole creation. Just because something is lawful doesn’t mean that it’s spiritually appropriate. Looking at it one way, you could say, “Anything goes; God is generous and full of grace.” But Christian liberty is not a license to do anything. We must look at different angles to get the real picture, the real meaning, agreeing to the sound words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness. In this regard, there are two guidelines to ponder when dealing doubtful things:

Refraining ourselves in doing anything which threatens to become our master (1 Corinthians 6:12; 9:27)

Abstaining from anything which threatens to make other Christians have doubts or lose their faith (1 Corinthians 10:23; 8:9; Romans 14:13).

Remember this: There are some terrible times coming in the last days (1 Timothy 3:1) when people say good is bad and bad is good; light is dark and dark is light; sour is sweet and sweet is sour. They think that modern times and modern activities are not specifically and directly mentioned in the Bible. Let me give you a practical example of a question nowadays: “Should a Christian be in Facebook?” This must bring us back to the two guidelines mentioned above. You could ask, “What’s wrong with Facebook?” There’s no question about the use of social networking as a tool to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and its moderate and healthy use to communicate privately with distant relatives and friends (anyhow, it’s still an opportunity to bring them close to Jesus). When dealing doubtful things, here are two tests to conduct:

Test 1: Is it uneasy to abstain from? If so, you are under the power of it.

Test 2: Is it true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report? Is there any virtue? Is there any praise? If so, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). Are we becoming an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity? (1 Timothy 4:12)

The New Panorama Bible Study Jude 1:3 says, “ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jesus knew all these false doctrine of men would come so that is the reason He warns us about false doctrine so strongly.

Let us just look at a few scriptures about doctrine before we go into subject of the GODHEAD and the true CHURCH. God is very strict about His doctrine so my warning to you is to take heed to what you read here.

Matthew 15:9, God says, “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Romans 16:16, God says, “Mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

1 Timothy 4:16, “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”

Romans 6:17, God says, “Ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”

Yes, dear reader, God has His form of doctrine and He wants you and me to follow that form. Men have changed the form but God is not going to accept their old man-made doctrine as is proven in Matthew 15:9.

Now let us start into our subject with an honest heart and a willing mind. Let us pray: “Oh God, if this is truth, I want it and if it is not truth, destroy this doctrine by Your Word.”

To understand the GODHEAD, we must get started off on the right track or we will never be able to make the scriptures harmonize and agree. The scriptures must agree and harmonize or else we are putting the wrong meaning on them or we are twisting them up in order to fit our doctrine. Jesus said men would do that very thing, so please let us be very careful not to take the wrong meaning out of His word (2 Peter 3:16).

God's Thought or Plan

First of all, God started with a THOUGH or a BLUEPRINT or a PLAN. And in His thought or plan, He saw everything the way it was going to be and He actually counted the things as though they had already happened. John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” In the original Greek, it says this, “In the beginning was the LOGOS, and the LOGOS was with God, and the LOGOS was God.” Here is a great secret about the word Logos that every few people know; the word LOGOS means THOUGHT.

Now, we shall prove our doctrine by the Word of God.

Acts 15:18, “Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.” How did God know all His works before He ever started them? By THOUGHTS, of course.

Isaiah 42:9, “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Yes, God knew everything before it happened, but only in THOUGHT or PLAN. Webster’s Dictionary says the word LOGOS means THOUGHT. You and I were with God before He ever made us, but only in thought.

Ephesians 1:4, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.”

Psalm (139:16), “Thine eyes did see my substance (meaning body), yet being unperfect; and in thy book (meaning plan or blueprint) all my members were written (meaning hands, feet, legs, etc.), which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” Praise our God for those verses because we can commence to see a great mystery start to open up.

Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.”

Yes, God knew us by His LOGOS, which means THOUGHT. False teachers try to tell us that there was another god with the Father in the beginning and they say the Word has reference to that another god. The word LOGOS never means another god. Please look it up in the Greek language. Never does the word LOGOS mean another person.

God Counted Things That Did Not Exist As Though They Did Exist

We shall now use our key verse of scripture which will help us greatly to understand the great GODHEAD mystery.

Romans 4:17, “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”

Dear reader, the thought we want you to get you from that scripture is that God counted things that did not exist as though they did exist. The things that God did not have as yet in the beginning He counted them as though He did actually have them.

My friend, you must agree with me that we were with the Father before the world was, but only in His THOUGHT or LOGOS. Ephesians 1:4 and Romans 8:29 prove that.

Ephesians 1:4, “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world.”

Romans 8:29, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

God Counted His Flesh as Though He Already Had It When It Did Not Exist as Yet

Yes, God the Father counted His flesh, body, as though He already had it when it did not exist as yet.

Zechariah 12:10, “And they shall look upon me whom they have pierced.”

Isaiah 26:19, God the Father says, “Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise.” See Matthew 27:52-53 for the fulfillment of that prophecy in Isaiah 26:19. Yes, many dead men arose when Jesus arose.

My friend, God the Father did all the speaking in the Old Testament as far as God was concerned, and you can see by the scriptures we have used that He was already counting His flesh body when He did not actually have it yet in the Old Testament.

False teachers try to tell us that God the Father had another God or Spirit with Him by using such scriptures as John 17:5. Jesus said, “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” But these false teachers fail to search out in God’s word how the man Christ Jesus was with the Father before the world was. They think that John 17:5 proves He was actually there. But if you turn to God’s Word (Isaiah 44:8; Isaiah 46:9; Deuteronomy 32:39), you will find how false their interpretation of John 17:5 is. Let us read what it says in those verses.

Isaiah 44:8, “Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.”

Isaiah 44:6, “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”

Isaiah 46:9, “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.”

Deuteronomy 32:39, “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me.”

Those verses we have just quoted are proof enough that God was not hiding two more gods and would produce them later. There is not one verse of scripture in the Bible where God said He would send His Son from heaven. That teaching that the Son was sent from heaven is a false doctrine of man and the reason they teach such things is because they do not understand the Godhead.

The Bible plainly tells you where the Son came from if you will only believe what the Bible says. Every preacher tries to prove his doctrine by the Bible, but when he runs up against truth, his doctrine fails and he either accepts truth or is hardened against it. It is dangerous to reject the truth; so take heed to what this teaches you. My scriptures harmonize and agree, so it has to be the truth.

It is dangerous to reject knowledge. Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Let Us Make Man

Here is another verse that these false teachers use to try to prove that God is three persons, which means three gods but they won’t admit it.

Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” As soon as they see the word “us”, they think that God had another God or spirit with Him, but their doctrine will not agree with the rest of God’s word. How would you or any one else make these four verses of scriptures agree and harmonize? Genesis 1:26 and John 17:5 with Isaiah 44:8 and Isaiah 43:10.

Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”

John 17:5, “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”

Isaiah 44:8, “Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Romans 4:17 says, “calleth those things which be not as though they were.” In Zechariah 12:10, God the Father says, “And they shall look upon me whom they have pierced.” That prophecy was given 487 years before Christ or 487 years before the body or flesh ever existed. So dear reader, we can see from that prophecy that God the Father saw His own flesh crucified long before He ever had one, but counted it as though He did have it. Not one of those false teachers can produce one little scripture where the Son did any of the talking in the Old Testament.

Why try to make people believe that there was some one else or some other God who put on that robe of flesh in order to be visible? Let us compare these two scriptures and see how many gods did the creating.

Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” The way that verse is written sounds as though God actually has another God helping Him do the creating, but when we get over into another verse we find that no other god helped Him.

Isaiah 44:24, “Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.”

We must accept the truth in order to make the word of God agree and that is this: God had His Son with Him in thought or plan only and He spoke as though that Son was actually there. Yes, God counted things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).

Is it not wonderful when God opens truth to us and lets us in on some of the deep mysteries of God? I just praise Him for this great truth about His eternal Godhead.

How did God make man in His own image? Here is the secret of that mystery. God in His LOGOS or THOUGHT knew what He was going to look like when He would put on a robe of flesh in the future and so He made the first man, Adam, in that likeness or figure of the body that He knew He would have. Figure means shape or form. In Romans 5:14, we find this statement, “even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.” “Was to come” shows that Adam was made first and the other one was to come later. Yes, Adam was made actually before the Son of God was made, but he Son of God was made before Adam in God’s thought or plan first. Adam was created 4000 years before the Son Jesus was born. Therefore, Adam actually existed before the Son Jesus did. But in the plan or thought of God, the Son was before Adam or anyone else.

In Revelation 3:14, we find this statement, “These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.”

Jesus the Son was the true witness.

Jesus the Son was faithful.

Jesus the Son was the beginning of God’s creation.

Yes, Jesus the Son or body was the first thing that God the Father put in His blueprint or plan when it came time for God to make man. He made man in the likeness of His Son, which was God’s own form or shape or image He knew he would have in the future.

To prove that God the Father made man in the image of His Son, which was God’s own body or flesh that He knew He was going to have in the future, let us turn to the following verse:

Romans 8:29, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

The word “conformed” means to be like or similar form. Romans 8:29 proves God knew what He Himself would look like when He made man in the exact form or shape or figure of the thought He had in His plan (Romans 5:14).

Human Nature and Divine Nature of Jesus (Part 1)

You trinity people are just fooling yourself when you say you believe in just one God because you get cornered on the subject of the Godhead. Yet God will still fill all space as a Spirit.

Has any man ever seen Jesus Christ? Absolutely not! Why? Because He is God and no man has ever seen God at any time. John 1:18 says, “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” When it say “the Son hath declared him”, it means the Son has told us who the Father was and is.

The Son Tells Who the Father Is

Before we prove to you that no one has ever seen Jesus, let us see where the Son tells us who the Father is. God warns you about that in His Word.

Proverb 14:12, ““There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Yes, you can think you are right and still be wrong.

The Apostles’ Doctrine on Baptism

The only way you can absolutely know that you are right is to compare your doctrine with what the apostles taught. If you cannot find in the Bible where the apostles ever preached your doctrine and get the true doctrine of God, you are wrong in your doctrine.

Yes, water baptism is a doctrine and you either obey it the way the apostles taught it or you are wrong in your doctrine. The apostles preached water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ or in the name of the Lord, which is Jesus.

Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Acts 8:16, “For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Acts 10:48, “And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.”

Acts 19:5, “When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Nowhere in the New Testament can you, trinity preachers and priests, find where an apostle ever commanded the people to be baptized by just saying, “Father and Son and Holy Ghost. No, my trinity friends, you cannot prove your Roman Catholic doctrine of baptism was ever preached by the apostles.

When the apostles preached baptism, they always preached in the name of Jesus Christ or in the name of the Lord, which is Jesus Christ.

The reason these trinity preachers and priests baptize their converts in the group of titles, such as Father and Son and Holy Ghost, is because they believe in the Roman Catholic doctrine of the trinity. Therefore, they want to make sure that they mention all of their three Gods.

Matthew 28:19

Did you know that the Roman Catholic church is guilty of changing the true apostolic doctrine of baptism in Jesus name to just repeating what Jesus said in Matthew 28:19?

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus did not say to repeat the common title name of Father and Son and Holy Ghost over the convert but He said to “baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

Now, trinity preachers and priests, we will ask you this question. What is the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost? If you say Jesus is the name, then you doctrine of three gods is shot into pieces.

If you say the one god is Father and the other god is Son and the third god is Holy Ghost, then God Himself makes you out a liar because He does not know those two other gods that you know (Isaiah 44:6; Isaiah 44:8; Isaiah 46:9; Jude 1:25). My, oh my, it must be wonderful to know more than God.

The reason you, trinity preachers and priests, don’t know the name of the Father and Son and Holy Ghost is because you believe in three Gods. Therefore, you cannot correctly interpret Matthew 28:19 and you cannot understand why the apostles always preached baptism in that one and only name, Jesus Christ.

You, trinity preachers and priests, have not one verse of scripture to use to prove the apostles preached your baptism doctrine. That is a real strong statement but it is true. Produce the scripture and then we can say you have the truth.

But until you can produce the scripture whether the apostles ever commanded the people to be baptized in those common title names of Father and Son and Holy Ghost, we will have to confess you belong to your Mother Rome because you are following Rome’s interpretation of Matthew 28:19.

The only reason in the world why these priests and preachers baptize in that group of title names is because they believe in three Gods. If they only believe in one God, they would know His name and would baptize in that one name just like the apostles did. Any school teacher or professor will tell you that the word “Father” is a title name but not a proper name of any one. They will tell the same thing about the words “Son” and “Holy Ghost.”

Did Jesus say in Matthew 28:19 to just repeat the word “Son” over any one? No, indeed He did not. He said to baptize in the name of the Son. Well, what is the proper name of the Son if the Son is not the Son’s name? Jesus Christ, of course, is His proper name.

Then if we must interpret to find out the name of the Son, don’t you suppose we must also find out the name of the Father and of the Holy Ghost?

Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 “to baptize in the name,” not names, but singular name.

The Whole Family in Heaven and Earth Is Named

We shall now use a verse of scripture that will tell us what the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost is.

Ephesians 3:15, “the whole family in heaven and earth is named.”

When it says the whole family in heaven is named in that name, it does not mean that there is a family of gods up there. No, indeed it means God and all His angels bear that name and His true people on earth bear that same name. That name is Jesus.

Did you ever hear of those Jesus Name people? Did you know these trinity churches, which are daughters of Rome, have cast us, Jesus Name people, out because we preach that the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus? And we baptize in that name and you don’t.

Hated for the Sake of the Name of Jesus

Did you know that God said these other churches would do that very thing on account of His name? But He said that He will appear to those people that have been cast out for His name’s sake and those false churches would be ashamed.

Trinity preachers and priests, what other kind of lie will you hatch up when you find out you are left to go though the great tribulation along with the ones you have taught false doctrine to? Here is our proof about the true church and the false. One will be taken and the other left.

Isaiah 66:5, “Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.”

Trinity friend, why do you want to miss being the bride of Jesus Christ? Because you are not willing to accept the truth on account of the persecutions or what some people might say?

God warns that the devil’s ministers would come as angel of light and as the preachers of righteousness. So why be fooled by the old devil and miss the bride when you can have the truth if you want it?

Read 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 and you will that the devil uses God’s own word to fool the people. He uses the same verses of scripture that the apostles used but he puts a different meaning on them.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

How the Apostles Obeyed Matthew 28:19

When Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 to baptize in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, the apostle obeyed Him exactly because Jesus is the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Let us see how the apostles obeyed Matthew 28:19:

Peter preached baptism in Jesus Name (Acts 2:38).

Paul preached baptism in Jesus name (Acts 19:1-5).

Phillip preached baptism in Jesus name (Acts 8:16).

Preacher friends, don’t you suppose, if the apostles would have understood Matthew 28:19 like you do, we would have found baptism preached somewhere in the word of God in that form by the apostles. There is only one verse of scripture in the entire Bible where you can find such a command, and that is Matthew 28:19.

To find obedience to that command, we must go to other scriptures in the word of God. Therefore, we go to the apostles’ doctrine found in the following verses:

Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Acts 8:16, “For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Acts 19:5, “When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Galatians 3:27, “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

Romans 6:3-6, “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.”

1 Corinthians 6:11, “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

Colossians 2:12, “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”

And above all, we must be baptized in Jesus name to be obedient to this scripture. “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” (Colossians 3:17). Baptism is both word and deed. But be sure you use the right word.

Water Baptism by Immersion

Baptism must be done by immersion and not sprinkle. Sprinkling was not taught by the apostles. That sprinkling system is also a man-made doctrine. Baby baptism is another man-made doctrine.

Remember, God has His form of doctrine and it also includes His form of baptism an we must obey that form in order not to be mixed up in the doctrines of men. Here is our proof that God has a certain form of doctrine.

Romans 6:17, “Ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”

Which form of doctrine have you obeyed? The form that the apostles used, which was immersion in Jesus name, or you just sprinkled in a group of common titles instead of in a proper name?

No, my friend, God will not change His form of doctrine to please you. But you better obey His form of doctrine in order to please Him.

The True Church

Trinity friend, you may have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost as well as us, Jesus Name people, by speaking in other tongues and still be wrong in some of your doctrine. That is why I am writing this so it will help you to see greater truth.

As we said before, the Holy Ghost is given to us to lead us in all truth. Every church has some truth, and every church tries to prove their doctrine by the Bible, but the only way you can tell for sure whether that church has the truth or not is to compare their doctrine with what the apostles taught.

Here is the difference between the true church and the false churches. Yes, my friend, there is only one church because Jesus started only one. So you either belong to that true church or you are in one of the false ones.

The true church teaches these things for its doctrine:

One God, which is a Spirit and is invisible, but became visible by putting on a robe of flesh (1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 3:16; Acts 20:28; Isaiah 43:10)

Baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 19:5; Colossians 3:17; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Luke 24:47; Galatians 3:27; Matthew 28:19)

Baptism of the Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues (John 15:26; Acts 2:4; Acts 1:1-6; Acts 10:43-48; Isaiah 28:9-12)

The False Church

The false churches teach these things for their doctrine:

Three persons in the Godhead, such as, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, each one of these persons is separate and distinct from each other, and each one is God. Scripture reference: they have none.

Water baptism in a group of titles such as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, instead of the proper name of Jesus. Scripture reference: they twist Matthew 28:19. They have no other scripture, not even one, because they don’t know the name.

Birth of the Spirit. Some teach the truth of this doctrine but others teach it false and cannot tell any one when they received it. They say, “Take it by faith and you have it.” Others deny. It is for us now in our time; read Acts 2:39 and see it is for us.

The Absolute Necessity to Be Born of Water and of the Spirit

So, the Trinity Pentecostal people are closer to the truth than those other churches because they have received the Holy Ghost just as well as us, Jesus Name people, but where these Trinity Pentecostal people are wrong is in their doctrine of the Godhead and their water baptism.

Now, if we, Jesus Name people, can just preach old Rome out of them, then they will see that we are right about the Godhead and they will get baptized in Jesus name.

Do you know, trinity friend, that history proves that the Protestant Church got doctrine of the trinity from the Catholic Church? Yes, indeed, so I urge you once more to go to the library in Salem and get wised up on this Godhead matter. New International Encyclopedia, Volume 22, Pages 476-477.

God says we must understand His Godhead or we are without excuse (Romans 1:20). Just because you have the Holy Ghost won’t excuse you. Read through these verses in rotation and get your eyes open to the truth (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:17; Romans 16:17-18).

Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

Romans 6:17, “But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”

Romans 16:17-18, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. No, indeed, trinity friend, you will never be in that number that will be caught up to meet Jesus unless you take His name in water baptism. I am going to show you a good man in the Bible that was loved of God so much that God sent an angel to tell him how he could get saved. This man was a devout man and had his whole house under subjection but he was still unsaved yet. Let us see how he got saved.

Acts 11:13-14, “And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.”

This man had already received the baptism of the Spirit before he went to the water to be baptized, but the apostle Peter commanded him to be baptized in the name of the Lord, which is Jesus Christ, of course.

Read Acts 10:43-48. Yes, Cornelius received the Holy Ghost and when he got it, he spoke with tongue, the same as you trinity people do. But Cornelius was not born of the water yet and Peter knew it was absolutely necessary, that is why he commanded water baptism to be done in Jesus name.

Now, trinity friend, why did Cornelius have to be baptized in water in Jesus name after he had already received the Spirit? Why? Because Jesus said no man can get in unless he is born of the water and of the Spirit.

Sure, trinity friend, if you have spoken in other tongues, you have been born of the Spirit. But God wants to use His Spirit to guide you in all truth. So why not throw over that false water baptism form you have been fooled in and get it done the right way by being baptized by immersion in Jesus name. Remember Romans 6:17.

References on Water Baptism

Do you think God will accept old doctrine that has been hatched up by the Pope of Rome and his helpers? I should say not. That is why God says in Matthew 15:9, “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

The Canney Encyclopedia of Religion, page 53, in the City Library at Salem, Oregon, says this, “The early church always baptized in the name of Jesus Christ until the development of the doctrine of the trinity, afterwards they baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

The Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume 2, Page 263, shows plainly that it was the two big Catholic leaders, hundreds of years ago, that got into an argument over water baptism, whether its should be done in Jesus name or whether it should be done in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Pope Stephen and St. Cyripian were those two big leaders.

Better come out of Rome and follow the apostles’ doctrine because they never preached God was three persons (Revelation 18:4; Revelation 17:5-9).

A People for His Name

You, trinity people, may think God looks like a man in the Old Testament because we find where God speaks of His hands and feet, etc., but if you put that understanding on those scriptures, I can prove to you that God also has feathers and wings. Psalm 91:4 says, “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” You know and I know that God don’t look like a chicken, but, when He makes such statements He means His power of protection.

I want to use some verses that I surely wish you, trinity people, would consider with all your heart.

When God catches away His people, you will find they will be the Jesus Name people.

Acts 15:14, “Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.” We, Jesus Name people, are the only people that are called by His name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Psalm 91:14, “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.”

Here is the scripture that you, trinity people, will understand after the Lord catches away His bride. Zechariah 14:9, “And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.” Isaiah 29:24 shows you are erring in spirit and doctrine. Read it but you learn truth later.

Trinity friend, God knew the doctrine of God being three persons would spread over the earth and that is why He put that kind of scripture in the Bible as Zechariah 14:9.

Therefore, you, trinity people, have been fooled by the old devil’s doctrine; will be left to go through the great tribulation; and then you will learn doctrine and you will quit erring in spirit. Did you know that you cannot err in Spirit until you have the Spirit? So you can see from this reference that God is talking to a Spirit filled people. Isaiah 29:24 says, “They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.”

Come Out of Her, My People

Why not learn true doctrine now and save yourself a lot of grief and sorrow later. Did you know that God’s people will be fewest of all people?

Where in the Bible does God say He is three persons or three personalities or three Spirits? The Roman Catholic church claims that, and all these other churches over the earth agree with her and are her daughters because they got their doctrine from her. God says, “Come out of her, my people” (Revelation 18:4).

Some churches have come out of her farther than others, such as this, for example, some see water baptism must be done by immersion or burial and they are correct but others want to hold on Rome’s form of sprinkling, which is contrary to God’s word. Proof: Colossians 2:12; Romans 6:3-6; Acts 8:38-39

The trinity pentecost people are still out of Rome farther, yet because some of them have accepted the birth of the Spirit by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, but the rest of the daughters fight against the speaking in other tongues as the evidence of the birth of the Spirit. Let us see what God says about that doctrine: Mark 16:15-20; Acts 2:4; Acts 19:1-6; Acts 10:43-48.

So, you can see that some of the Rome’s daughters are less like their mother than others because some have gotten their eyes open farther than others.

Now, if we can just get you, trinity pentecost people to throw away that old trinity doctrine of three persons, which means three gods and also throw away Rome’s interpretation of Matthew 28:19, then you will no longer be called harlot any more. But until you come out of Rome the entire way, you are still a harlot and a daughter of your mother Rome (Revelation 17:5-9; Revelation 18:4).

Remember, God is going to have a church without spot or wrinkle, not churches but a church. You are either in that true church or you are going to miss being in that church when Jesus catches it away. Will ignorance excuse you or me? No, indeed, it will not as is proven in these scriptures.

Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

Various Offices but One God

Trinity friend, my name is Wilbur King and I am a father and a son and a husband and an uncle and a neighbor and if I live long enough I can be a grandfather. But does that make six persons out of me because I myself fill all of these offices? Of course, not! Then, why fight so hard against believing that Jesus Himself is the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost? Jesus is the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Jesus is our God and He is our Maker and He is going to be our Husband.

Isaiah 54:5, “For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.”

2 Corinthians 11:2, “For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”

So, friend, you can easily see that Jesus Himself fills all of the offices such as the Father and the Son and the Husband and the Holy Ghost, etc.

The Holy Ghost office will soon close. The Sonship office will close at the end of the thousand year millennium. And still God will be the same God and His name will still be Jesus.

Ephesians 1:21, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.”

God Was in Christ

Trinity friend, don’t forget the thought when you are dealing with the Father, you are dealing with a Spirit and the only Spirit in the Godhead. And when you are dealing with the Son, you are dealing with a man or the human side of the Godhead, which has now been glorified. But the name Jesus applies to both the Spirit, which is God the Father, and to the Son, which is a glorified man now. Jesus is both man and God. The one is inside the other. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” Therefore, God the Father was in Christ (the Son or flesh) when He walked on this earth. And God the Father will still be in that Son when we see Him. That Son is also called His Tabernacle or Temple.

Revelation 21:3, “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”

Revelation 22:3-4, “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”

You mean these two, the Lamb and God, only have one face and one name? Yes, my friend, God is the invisible Spirit that will only be seen in the face of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 4:6 proves the above statement. 1 John 3:1-2 proves it again.

2 Corinthians 4:6, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

1 John 3:1-2, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Here is your proof as this saith the Lord.

1 John 4:13, “Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.”

Acts 2:17, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh.”

2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

That last statement of John 14:15-18 surely proves beyond a shadow of doubt that Jesus was not only their comforter right then but it proves He was also the other Comforter that was going to come back. Yes, the Holy Ghost, which is the Father and His name is Jesus, was already present with them in His own body of flesh but He was not in their body yet. So He took His body, which was His Son, to heaven and returned and was in them by Spirit.

Glory to our God because we know His great name! Therefore, He is going to set us on high because we obeyed Him and know His name (Revelation 3:7-10; Psalm 91:14; Malachi 3:16-17).

When you, trinity people, see in the Word of God where it speaks of the Spirit as “He” or “Him”, right away you think that the Spirit must be a person. But let me help you on that thought. Let us turn to Acts 12:10 where it calls a gate a “his”. In Proverbs 8:1-2, it speaks of wisdom of being a “she”. Is a “gate” a man or a person? Is “wisdom” a female? James 1:4 says, “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Is “patience” a female because it spoke of patience as “her”. In Psalm 34:2, David called hi soul a “her”. Was David’s soul a female and his body a male?

Trinity friend, don’t you see how easy it is to get the wrong understanding of God’s Word if we are not very careful?

Don’t let the Pope of Rome make you swallow that doctrine any longer that God is three persons. Prove all things by what thus saith the Lord.

Jesus is the First and the Last

In closing, I want to urge you once more to go to your library and look up every one of those encyclopedias and you surely will then agree with me about the things written here about the Godhead and the true church.

When the devil tries to put your mind that God must be three persons, always turn to these references and they will keep you straightened out.

God says He is the First One and the Last One (Isaiah 44:6). So how can you, trinity people, get two more? Jesus said he is the First and the Last (Revelation 1:7-8). So, He is the only God.

God said He doesn’t know any other beside Himself (Isaiah 44:8). How can you, trinity people, know more than God then, because you say you know of two more than God Himself. God said He does not know any more gods that are like Him. Your trinity doctrine teaches that there are three Gods and that these three Gods are all equal and coeternal, meaning they all have the same power and glory.

These scriptures prove how far wrong your doctrine is.

Isaiah 46:9, God said there is none like Him.

Isaiah 42:8, God said He would not give His glory to any other.

You, trinity people, take the glory away from one God and give it to another according to the teaching of your doctrine, because you do not claim that Jesus is God the Father Himself. You claim Jesus is just the Son.

Godhead Explained at the Baptism of Jesus

Here is a reference that you, trinity people, use to try to prove your doctrine that God is three persons, which makes three Gods out of Him.

Matthew 3:16-17, “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

You, trinity people, say the Son was standing in the water and He was a person. You are absolutely right that the Son was a person because He was a male sex man. The first person and the last person in the Godhead was standing in the water. A person was flesh and bones. Therefore, that Son was God Himself as a person. That Son or body of flesh was God’s person and you won’t see God any other way except by His person. His person is His visible part; His Spirit is invisible.

Then you, trinity people, say the blessed third person was that bird that lit upon Him. Since when is a bird a person? Why did your blessed third person have to put on feathers and wings in order to fly? Don’t try to tell any one that a person looks like a bird. Luke 3:22 says it was the Holy Ghost in the form of a dove.

Then you, trinity people, say that the first person or God spoke from heaven was the voice of the Spirit and you or any one else cannot tell what the Spirit is, neither can you describe a Spirit. So, how can you say it was the blessed firs person from heaven while the other two persons were down here on earth?

Let us be reasonable now and see if I am not right when I say that the Son was the only person of the Godhead and He was God Himself in the form of man.

God the Father Himself put on flesh or took upon Himself the form of man and dwelt among us. Therefore, He was not only in heaven as Spirit but He was on earth as man, but He still remained the only true God. Please read 1 John 5:20-21.

1 John 5:20-21, “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. So God was in heaven above and upon the earth beneath, in heaven as a Spirit but on earth as a man and bird. That dove was just another way our great God had of manifesting or showing Himself. He can do anything for there is nothing impossible with our God but His name is Jesus. You must be filed with or born of the Spirit (John 3:3-7).

No other plan can be used (1 Corinthians 3:10-12; Romans 16:17-18; 2 John 1:9-11).

1 Corinthians 3:10-12, “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. The Sabbath included! Paul was warning them not to be bound up any longer now that they were set free from those things by the cross of Christ.

Galatians 4:9-11, “But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.”

Here is more proof: Romans 10:4; Colossians 2:13-18, 2 Corinthians 3:1-16. These few references prove the law of commandments and the sacrificial law were absolutely finished at the cross and now we live under the New Testament covenant. So from the cross on, no man can judge us about what we eat or drink or we keep a certain holy day or the Sabbath because those things are finished and done away with as is proven here: Hose 2:11; Colossians 2:13-16; 2 Corinthians 3:1-16.

Now here are some things you better take heed to because if those people in Paul’s day were not allowed any longer to keep those feast days and Sabbath according to the Old Testament, why do you think you can start to keep some new days and times of the year, which old Rome started hundreds of years ago, after the apostles age?

Yes, old Rome, which claims she is your mother church, started the old pagan holiday of New Years.

Old Rome also started the so-called Sunday Worship because she is the one who set that day aside and most of all churches fall in line with her because they are her offspring and got their doctrines and holidays from her. We now have the Roman calendar and we go by Roman days and time.

New Years or January first got its name from the old pagan god called Janus!

Easter got its name from the goddess of spring called Estara, a pagan goddess.

Christmas is a Catholic word made up of two words such as Christ-Mass and so called Christmas Day was taken from the heathen pagans of December 25th and called the birthday of Christ. Why did Rome take this old pagan heathen feast day of December 25th and call it Christ’s birthday?

Because old Mother Rome wanted to win these old heathen pagans over to her Catholicism and so she taught by taking their big feast day of December 25th and calling it Christ’s birthday that would make them feel good and celebrate together.

Look Christmas and Easter and January and Sunday in the Catholic Encyclopedia and get your eyes open as to how old Rome has the church world following her and her doctrines and holidays, which God never started and neither did one apostle ever preach such a thing nor observe any of such days or doctrines.

No wonder we cannot observe any day of old Rome’s holidays nor Sunday after we read Galatians 4:9-11, Hose 2:11, and Colossians 2:13-16.

We must be completely free from all doctrines and holidays of old Rome and not observe nor believe any of them. If we do, we are spotted up by Rome and we disobey this scripture here: Revelation 18:4.

God is commanding you to come out of old Rome and give up her old doctrines and holidays that she has made the church world drunk with. Notice Revelation 18:1-11. The day is coming soon when men no longer will buy and sell her old Christmas merchandise and the merchants shall weep because they will lose a great profit. Read it and see Revelation 18:11 and 234.

Please remember old Rome does not own all this so-called Christmas merchandise that is bought and sold during the Christmas time but she is the mother of it. All spiritually speaking because she started that Devil Day called December 25th, the so-called Christmas Day.

Did you ever find where an apostle ever observed Christmas of Easter of New Year or Sunday? No man knows what day it is, because our God destroyed the old time law and Sabbaths. Rome made all these others and we now go by Roman calendar time. Read Hose 2:11; Galatians 4:9-11; Colossians 2:13-18.

But now we dare not observe any of old Rome’s holidays or doctrines or we will never be ready to go with Jesus when He comes for His perfect church without spot or wrinkle.

God says come out of her, my people (Revelation 18:4). If you do not come out of her completely, and ignore her holidays and doctrines, you will be left for the greatest tribulation and hell on earth this world will ever experience. Only a few will be ready (Matthew 7:14; Matthew 15:9).

So, I beg you to come out slick and clean and take your stand with the little few who shall be ready to be caught up to glory to miss the great tribulation.

Here are the perfect ones (Revelation 14:1-5).

Here you are if you don’t obey (Revelation 14:6-13).

Get busy handing out this information, and be a soul winner for Jesus. It is vital to be in the TRUE CHURCH because Jesus wants to present Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish, a chaste virgin and bride adorned for her Husband.

Jesus is inviting you. We should notice that He said name (singular) not names. As previously explained, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not names of separate persons, but titles of positions held by God. An angelic announcement revealed God's saving name in the New Testament: "She shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21).

The apostles understood that Jesus was the name to use at baptism, and from the day that the church of God was established (the Day of Pentecost) until the end of their ministry, they baptized all nations (Jews--Acts 8:16; Gentiles--Acts 19:5) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In fact, Jesus is the only name given for our salvation. This spiritual baptism is necessary to put someone into the kingdom of God (God's church, the bride of Christ) and is evidenced by speaking in other tongues (other languages) as the Spirit of God give utterance.

It was prophesied by Joel (Joel 2:28-29) and Isaiah (Isaiah 28:11), foretold by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:11), purchased by the blood of Jesus, and promised by Him to His disciples (John 14:26; 15:16). The Holy Ghost was first poured out on the Day of Pentecost upon the Jews (Acts 2:1-4), then upon the Samaritans (Acts 8:17), and later upon the Gentiles (Acts 10:44-46; 19:6). "The promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call" (Acts 2:39).

...Tongues

Speaking in tongues means speaking miraculously in a language unknown to the speaker, as the Spirit gives utterance. Tongues can be classified in two ways, according to function: (1)speaking in other tongues as the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and (2)the gift of tongues as mentioned in I Corinthians.

Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance is the manifestation God has given as the definite, indisputable, supernatural witness or sign of the baptism of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:4; 10:46; 19:6).

It was prophesied by the prophet Isaiah as the rest and the refreshing (Isaiah 28:11-12), foretold by Jesus as a sign that would follow believers of the gospel (Mark 16:17), and experienced by Jews and Gentiles alike.

The gift of "divers kinds of tongues," mentioned by Paul in I Corinthians 12:1-12 and concerning which he gave regulations in I Corinthians 14:1-40, is given by both for self-edification (I Corinthians 14:4) and for the edification of the church (I Corinthians 14:27-28).

In church meetings the gift of tongues is used to give a public message, and it is to be interpreted. Divine healing was purchased for us by the blood of Jesus Christ, especially by His stripes (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; I Peter 2:24).

Jesus went everywhere healing those who were sick (Matthew 4:23-24), and He commanded His disciples to do the same (Matthew 10:8). He will catch away a holy people (His bride, His church) who have accepted redemption through His blood, by birth of water and of the Spirit, and who are found faithful when He comes.

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (I Thessalonians 4:16-17).

"One shall be taken and the other left" (Luke 17:36). Will we be ready?

The signs of His coming are everywhere. The days of peril are here indeed, with forms of godliness void of the power of God; society and politics corrupted; and people's hearts filled with pride, blasphemies, unholiness, love of evil, and love of pleasures (II Timothy 3:1-13).
