This was an illustration I did specifically for onfiredesigns.com. I decided to create this illustration as raster artwork because I had the opportunity to use a Wacom tablet for the first time on my own artwork. I felt that I could get more precise color shading using Photoshop.

I first did the drawing with pencil and paper; then scanned it into Photoshop. I then digitally inked the outlines and added in the block colors. I added a denim texture to the jeans to give them some more depth. After I was happy with the current illustration I started to lay in the shadows and highlights. To give the illustration a more atmospheric feel I overlay a color cast to the whole illustration so it seems that the fire is actually casting light. I wasn't happy with having all the outlines as a solid black so I colored each section to have the Disney cartoon look and feel.

I'm very happy with the way this illustration turned out and think it fits with the site nicely. I am also happy that my first caricature of myself turned out actually looking just like me!

The purpose of the project was to create a flash application that represented a TV player for their online videos. The design was to be created to look like a TV and a remote to control the player. This design had to be easy to understand because a majority of Voice Coaches clients are older and might have issues navigating the player.
With having such a small width for the content the remote had to be unique and small so it wouldn't take too much vertical space. The TV would be hidden at first until the power button was pressed to reveal it. Channel buttons would be represented by horizontal buttons with the channel name as the title. After the channel button was pressed, a listing of videos would be revealed on the TV screen for the user to select from. Overall the design was liked by the client even though time was an issue because the development would be one of the largest parts of this project.

I have done quite a few one page designs for Voice Coaches and they usually have to have design and development done in a few hours. These one page designs are to facilitate new ideas or ads that Voice Coaches doesn't deem necessary to incorporate into the main site. These are primarily heard about through word of mouth by Voice Coaches to their clientele or marketers.
The idea behind this design was to give Voice Coaches clients the ability to listen to accredited people in the industry tell them about how technology can be used in the voice acting world. The page was to layout all event information including the speakers. I also had to create a quick logo to represent the conference. The page was well liked by the clients, and they will continue to use the design for future conferences down the road.

The purpose of the site was to be a portal for clients to log onto and access all of their online resources while training to be a voice actor from home.
The design was to be modeled off of the flash training courses with a top tab navigation. The design was to work like a web application so it was designed to feel this way. The design was to incorporate an archive of narrative scripts for clients to use as well as a messaging system for interaction between the client and the instructor.
The design was finalized and put into use and is currently being used today by Voice Coaches clientele. I am happy with the design and so is the client.

The purpose of this project was to develop a secondary page for Voice Coaches main site. The content was to extend bullet points based on their own professional policies. Each policy point would then have its own description.
From a design stand point, a sight that has a minimal width in its content area will gain page height very quickly with any content. With that said I decided that a bulleted accordion list would fit this page perfectly so as to not make the page too long and scrolling is at a minimum. Each button was designed to be unchecked until it has been clicked and expanded for the first time, almost like checking off a list. A learn more tab was added to the button per the client’s request as their clients are generally older and might not see them as buttons. Overall a simple design; the harder part being the development of the functionality all of which were approved by the client.

The purpose of the project was to complete a design that extended a more professional version of voicecoahes.com for more experienced voice over clients. The design was to represent a similar look and feel to the main site.
Instead of the navigation of the original site, I decided to incorporate a horizontal top navigation. The color scheme was to be similar to the original but skewed just a bit to give the site a different look. Right underneath the navigation I added a photo slideshow to showoff either ads or imagery representative of Voice Coaches Pro. I decided on a two column system which was the exact reverse of voice coaches.com. The only difference being that more emphasis was put on the main content by shortening the sidebar. The font choice was exactly the same as the original. The design I completed only got as far as the home page as the client needed time to develop the content of the site, although it was a great start to the project and the client was happy with the result.
This site will be fleshed out some day but it probably won’t be finished until much later.

Voice Coaches was in the process of creating online training course material, and they needed a frontend to help display this content. The flash learning class was developed to be re-skinned for other clients. It allowed for video, audio, downloads and text content for any training needs. The content could be dynamically added in our backend system.
This class was designed to be easy to use, so like a regular site the main chapter navigation displays across the top. Each chapter displays individual content that is viewable from the left hand sidebar. The class was to have the ability to display multiple types of content including audio, video, text and file downloads. Overall I felt the design was successful in meeting the client’s needs.
Unfortunately the class is password protected so a link to this cannot be provided. I probably set this up on my host so check back in the future!

These are primarily heard about through word of mouth by Voice Coaches to their clientele or marketers.
The idea behind this design was to give Voice Coaches clients the ability to let their voices be heard at a telemarketing conference where proceeds and donations went to benefit Haiti relief. The logo had already been designed so it was up to me to quickly make a clean design to represent this conference. The design fulfilled the client’s expectations about getting the information out about the conference as well as a descriptive list of the speakers. To keep the list of speakers small I designed it as an expandable dynamic accordion menu. The design got good reviews from the client....

These one page designs are to facilitate new ideas or ads that Voice Coaches doesn't deem necessary to incorporate into the main site. These are primarily heard about through word of mouth by Voice Coaches to their clientele or marketers.
The idea behind this design was to give Voice Coaches clients a better ability to understand what voice acting is and what it isn't through a short introductory class. I decided to create illustrations to better emphasize the truth and fallacy points of the voice acting class. Using font size and color I created a visual hierarchy to the page layout. The page was meant to be clean and easily understood as a majority of Voice Coaches clients are older and some don't grasp the nature of the internet. I think the class was well represented by the design and got positive feedback from the client....
