<p>Using self hypnosis to lose weight is very easy indeed and anybody can do it. Have you ever been so engrossed in a really good book or a block buster movie that you get totally lost in it? Believe it or not, you were in a hypnotic state during that journey.</p>

<p>Using hypnosis for weight loss or any other goal for that matter simply means, taking an activity we all do every day and utilising it deliberately for our own good.</p>

<p>In most cases when we are in hypnotic trances during the day, we unconsciously focus on negative things.  But, a deliberate and focused use of hypnosis not only relaxes us, but also helps us to focus on positive things and on the things we wish to have in our lives as against the things we dont want.</p>

<p>I have used hypnosis for a while now and I have reaped immense benefits from using it. In fact it has become part and parcel of my daily activities. I have used it to improve just about any aspect of my life that you can think off.</p>

<p>Do you need to jump start metabolism? Have you ever noticed how one person can eat everything in site and never gain an ounce, while others (maybe you?) spend half your life on all the latest diets? Or why you can start a diet at the same time as one of your friends and not lose nearly as much weight?</p>

<p>The answer of course is your metabolism. Every individual has a metabolic rate that is unique to them.</p>

<p>Our metabolic rate is the rate at which we burn calories or store them as fat, just to sustain life. We burn calories constantly - even while sleeping. Muscles burn calories even when we aren&#039;t doing anything physical, because of this muscles are said to be &#034;metabolic reactive&#034;. One quick and easy way to jump start metabolism is to get more muscle.</p>

<p>Muscle burns calories, so you want more muscle. Diet plans often include an exercise requirement to build muscles.</p>

<p>What we eat and what we do determine our metabolic rate. Healthy foods jump start metabolism metabolism, while bad foods slow it down. There are other influencing factors, though, such as:</p>

<p>Age makes a difference - as we age, our metabolism tends to slow down.</p>

<p>Stress is also influential. More and more studies are linking obesity with stress on the job and in the home. You should always consult a doctor before trying to lose weight, for this reason. Before you jump start metabolism, get rid of any health issues that could hold you back.</p>

<p>Most diets include advice about drinking plenty water. Most diets say it is to make you feel full so you don&#039;t overeat. While that may be a good idea, it is not the entire story as to why water helps with weight loss. Water helps in weight loss because it hydrates the body, flushes out toxins and keeps excess water stored in the body to a minimum. All of this leads to a speedier metabolism and more weight loss.</p>

Some foods will help you burn fat. Let&#039;s examine what foods will give you the fat you need in your diet and why no-fat diets fail.</p>

<p>The number one reason that extreme no-fat and low fat diets fail is that people mistake low fat with healthy. Just because a snack is low in fat doesn&#039;t mean that it is good for you.</p>

<p>Processed foods contain empty calories and sugars that will cause you to gain weight. Focus on eating whole foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains. These foods will give your body the nutrition it needs without the high levels of sugar and salt found in crackers and cookies.</p>

<p>If you are cutting down severely on fats and calories, you&#039;re body will react by going into starvation mode. Instead of burning the fat, your body&#039;s metabolism will slow down and it will work to store the fat that it has available. The only way you can lose fat is to feed the body what it needs.</p>

<p>You&#039;ve heard before that not all fats are equal. Saturated fat can lead to heart disease and should be largely avoided. Meat and cheese is full of the fats that you don&#039;t want in your diet. So cut down on your intake of these foods and focus on the foods that provide the essential fatty acids.</p>

<p>One food that is great to incorporate into your diet is the avocado. The fat in the avocado is made up primarily of mono-unsaturated fats. In addition to the healthy fats of the avocado, you are getting other nutritional benefits such as vitamins A, B, and E. Avocado&#039;s will give your body the energy it needs during your muscle building routines. And they&#039;re great for your immune system, skin, and hair.</p>

<p>Flax is another great food. Flax seed oil contains both Omega 3 and Omega 6. There are several ways you can add flax seed oil to your diet. You can also buy flax seed oil from health food stores and some grocery stores, but make sure it is kept refrigerated and keep a close eye on the expiration date. You can drink it straight or add it to smoothies if you don&#039;t like the taste.</p>

<p>Ground flax seeds are another way to add this food to your diet. Whichever way you choose, be sure to not heat the flax as that destroys its beneficial properties. If you want the benefits of flax seed oil without the hassle you can purchase flax seed oil pills.</p>

<p>A third food that can help you burn fat by adding fat to your diet is walnuts. Walnuts contain the healthy fats and are a good source of protein. Adding a handful of walnuts to your breakfast in the morning will ensure that you have the energy you need for your day. Keep walnuts in your desk at work to provide a healthy snack.</p>

<p>Replacing the saturated fat with these three foods will help you lose weight and be healthy. Although you can have them daily, be sure you are not relying too much on these foods and focus on a well balanced diet.</p>

<p>Since losing weight is the first thing most folks look at let&#039;s look at the one way you can dramatically reduce the number of calories you consume without making any changes to your diet. Drink water. Instead of drinking soda and other drinks that contain insane amounts of sugar, drink water instead. Water doesn&#039;t have any calories so you&#039;ll lose weight because of the calorie deficit in addition to all of the other benefits that water provides.</p>

<p>One of the worst mistakes you can make if you&#039;re trying to lose weight is eat high calorie and high sugar snacks between meals. Furthermore did you know that nine out of ten times when you crave a snack between meals you&#039;re not hungry you&#039;re actually thirsty. The best thing you can do is drink water instead of snacking unnecessarily. If you&#039;re still hungry a few minutes then go ahead and snack but just make sure to have something healthy! Water is great for your body and it&#039;s a great weight loss tool so make sure to drink whenever possible.</p>

<p>Unfortunately losing weight and having a lean body requires discipline and when it comes to weight loss discipline comes in the form of sugar. Ah yes sugar we all love it and most of us have a horrible time trying to stay away from it. Stay disciplined and strong as often as possible and follow the workout detailed below to get rid of the fat that&#039;s already around your waist and to burn off that sugar you had after dinner last night.</p>

<p>Once you reduce the amount of calories you consume, you can accelerate your fat and weight loss by exercising. Exercising will not only burn more calories while you&#039;re doing it but it usually also increases your metabolism for a better portion of the day and if you do what is recommended here you&#039;ll reap the benefits of a revved up metabolism for the entire day.</p>

<p>The best time to do any cardio exercise is first thing in the morning on any empty stomach. Consult your doctor before doing any exercise if you haven&#039;t exercised in a while. The morning is an ideal time because your body is literally starving. It hasn&#039;t eaten in 8 hours (and you should be sleeping 8 hours for optimal health) and it&#039;s looking for something to burn as fuel because there&#039;s nothing left in your stomach. Typically in this scenario your body will begin to burn fat and/ or muscle for fuel.</p>

<p>It is important to do your cardio workout at the right pace however. If you go to hard and with too much intensity you&#039;ll most likely not burn any fat. The important thing is that you realize that to burn fay you have to keep your exercise at a moderate pace. The rule of thumb is if you can maintain a conversation with someone the you&#039;re working at a good pace. Slow down and burn fat.</p>

<p>For those that can&#039;t decide between fat burning workouts and cardio exercise there is interval training. Interval training is a type of physical training that involves bursts of high intensity work. This high intensity work is alternated with periods of rest or low activity (the intervals in interval training). The term can refer to any cardiovascular workout (e.g. cycling, running, rowing, etc.) that involves brief bouts at near-maximum exertion interspersed with periods of lower-intensity activity.</p>

<p>With burning fat and losing weight in the rear view mirror, it&#039;s time to think about how you can prevent any more fat from being added to your body. The easiest thing you can do to prevent fat is not eat any food a couple of hours before you go to sleep. If you really want to stay lean then stay away from any carbohydrates after 6:00 PM.</p>

<p>Eating before you go to sleep is about the worst thing you can do if your goal is to have a lean body. The food you eat before you go to sleep is mostly converted to fat in your body while you sleep. There&#039;s not much else your body can do with it since it&#039;s not active. Instead try not eating anything a couple fo hours before you go to sleep.</p>

<p>The tips outlined above are obviously free and they won&#039;t cost you any money to implement. The key to losing weight and having a lean body is reducing your caloric intake and getting rid of the fat that is already on your body. By following the tips outlined in this article you&#039;ll do just that.</p>

<p>Historically, humans ate a lot more fiber and drank mostly water not carbonated beverages, and were a lot more active in everyday life.
