So this is the list of top 5 tips I’m sharing with you on this page, these all are for getting organic real results from Google & other search engines, first of all I recently tried to implement these tips myself, and when I got better results then I decided to share them on my blog. And as you know, the new year 2016 is just knocking the doors, so I think these tips will work best in 2015 and afterwards. Now let’s move on to the tips.

Tip # 1 – Update Your Content Regularly

This is the number one tip I can give you, because it has worked for me many times and search engines also highly recommend you to update your content in accordance with the current date. What I mean by updating content?, I simply mean, whenever you publish something on your blog in shape of a post/article, few days after publishing, go to that post/article, edit it and add some more text/image or video etc, and then update it, you’ll see search engines bots coming back to your post and crawling the updated version of your post. It works great, you’ll see dramatic boosts in the ranking of that particular article/post. I always try to update my normal posts in a period of 2 months and popular in 3 months. But I’ll recommend you to update the new posts on weekly basis if you want to get quick ranking from search engines, and this is all SEO friendly & original thing to do.

Bonus Tip: to keep an eye on the progress after updating the posts/articles, use a keyword tracking tool such as moonsy.com or serpbook.com.

And to let the search engines properly know that you have updated your post/posts use the modified-date or updated date [meta], if you are using WordPress then you can use this plugin for last updated date: WP Last Modified Date

Tip # 2 – Include a Video in Your Post

This is another great strategy worked for me and can work for you too, I recently experimented it on a live blog post, first of all I created a video on something, then I created a blog post with a permalink & I kept that in the draft mode, However, I uploaded the video to YouTube.com, Vimeo.com, Dailymotion.com & tune.pk. These are popular video sharing sites with millions of visitors every single day. I added the blog post link to the description of the video on all four places where I uploaded the video and I also mentioned in the video about visiting the blog post if the person wants to get full information. After uploading the video, I published the blog post, and this worked very well in getting better ranking, in simple words you can say, I got four links from a single video on four different platforms & I got many visitors to that post. And having a video in blog post really attracts search engine bots to give extra exposure to that post, because video speaks much loudly than words.

Tip: Again keep tracking your keyword for that post, so you may know whether it’s getting improved or not.

Tip # 3 – Create E-Books & Presentations

SEO today has to be played on a real ground, and when that’s being said, you have to be more social, more natural & more helpful. If you want to really improve your blog/site ranking in a real organic way then take out some time and create some free E-Books & presentations on the topics you cover on your blog, after creating a simple 10-20 pages e-book, go and upload it to all platforms which offer free e-books such as this one:

If you want to let the Google crawler know about your website faster & to index/rank it quickly then you can do it yourself straight from the Google Webmaster Tools account, there is an option in Webmaster Tools called “Fetch As Google”, which does a very smooth job, I mean you can put the URL either of your home page or any single post in that tool which will be immediately crawled & indexed by Google.

Go to your webmaster account >> Click the website you want to see >> at left side find >> Crawl >> Fetch As Google >> it will already have the main URL of your blog/site, so if you want it to crawl the main site then simply leave the box blank and click “Fetch“, after you click fetch, within seconds, Google will tell you whether your site has been accessed or not. And you can also submit it for indexation.

This process is particularly helpful for new websites or new articles/posts, because certainly Google crawlers take sometime to index your site or post, so you can instantly do it yourself. And yes, it worked for me always.

Tip # 5 – Build Quick, But Natural Backlinks

If you are taking very much care of your On-Page SEO stuff such as optimized titles, permalinks, meta description, keyword density, keyword prominent, keyword proximity, interlinking and social media sharing etc, that all is OK and great to know, But if you are not building quality & natural backlinks overtime then don’t think for a long term stable ranking in Google. So keeping this in mind, you have to use all available resources to create backlinks for your site & single articles. In short, if you want to regularly & quickly build some backlinks through blog commenting, Dofollow sites & .edu/.gov then use below website to create tons of free backlinks over time and improve your overall search engines ranking:

Always try to focus on quality instead of quantity if you really want to develop good writing skills as a writer. This is the biggest mistake made by most of the beginners, as they try to produce more and more content with a short span of time and thus can’t focus much on quality.

I can understand that you have to meet many deadlines or you want to be on time. But, quantity is not your goal, your goal is to produce amazingly high-quality content which can help you get thousands of leads and to acquire thousands of new customers.

5. Review what you’ve written:

There is hardly a person in the blogosphere or on the online world, who has done things perfect in the first attempt. Mostly, nobody can write perfectly in the first attempt. 1. Too Long Titles:

The first mistake I’ve noticed mostly beginner bloggers make is writing lengthy titles for their blog posts. Let me tell you that Google and other search engines love the blog posts with title length below 70 characters (not words).

If your blog post’s title consists on more than 70 characters, it will only be shown till 70 characters and the rest will be hidden. Though, Google supports titles up to 70 characters, but I’d suggest to keep it within 60.

If you exceed the 70 characters limit then can put a bad impact on your website’s SEO score and along with that your CTR in SERP’s will be dramatically decreased.

Having a low CTR in SERP’s means low click rates even your blog is ranking higher in search results.

2. Not doing Keyword Research Properly:

No matter about what you are writing. If you don’t research the keyword first, you can’t rank for it. Because you don’t know who your competitors are and how much effort you have to make in order to stand above them in search results.

By doing keyword research you can find the variation of the keyword for which you have to rank and you can also get an idea about the competition for that specific keyword. This can give you an idea of “How much effort is required to rank for this specific keyword?”

I am sorry because I can’t discuss Keyword Research in-depth because this blog post is not dedicated to keyword research topic. However, you can read our complete keyword research tutorial in Urdu/Hindi.

3. Not focusing on Keyword Density:

This sounds weird?

You don’t know what keyword density actually is? if so then see my complete tutorial on keyword density.

The number of times a specific target keyword appears in a blog post divided by the total number of words of that post is called keyword density of that specific keyword.

Most of the bloggers (especially from India & Pakistan) ignore it and make mistakes with keyword density part. Sometimes they stuff the content with keywords and produce keyword stuffed content and some of them don’t even use their target keyword a single time.

You have to deal with keyword density sensitively. You have to make sure that the keyword density of your target keyword should be in the moderate range (2%-4%) and your content also contain some variations of that keyword.

This will ensure that Google can understand for which keyword you have written that content and where to rank it for that specific keyword.

4. Underestimating the Power of Meta Description:

Meta description is an important Meta tag after the title and plays a vital role in ranking of a blog. Meta keywords tag is now officially dead and useless and it’s not useful now at all. Meta description actually defines the search engine, what your content is actually about.

This is the description shown below your blog post’s title in search results.

Mostly beginners ignore it and just stuff this part with lots of keywords. To ensure maximum ranking in search engine, your meta-description should be of correct length and correctly optimized.

According to some great SEO gurus in the blogosphere, your meta-description should not be more than 155 characters long in length and it must contain your targeted keyword but in a sentence manner.

Don’t put only keywords in you meta-description, it’s better to put them in a sentence style to get better ranking and to boost the CTR in SERP’s.

5. Images without ALT Tag:

Near to me, this is the BIGGEST mistake made by 97% of newbie bloggers and if you are also making this mistake you are losing half of your traffic.

Using images in your blog posts can be good for readers. But how a search engine can understand what you have used in image format? The answer is ALT tags. Search engine’s crawler crawl your blog post and scan through all of your content, but unfortunately it can’t scan the images. This is the step where the Alt tags do their job and let crawler know “What the image is about?”.

So, if you want to get that 50% of traffic which can be driven from Google Image search, you have to use Alt tags with the images in your blog posts. You can describe the image in the alt tag, so the crawler can understand and rank it according to the description.

6. Ignoring Anchor Texts:

Anchor texts are important for your visitors and also for search engines. If you are not focusing much on anchor texts you are just ruining your website’s ranking by your own.

A large number of bloggers (mostly beginners) use anchor texts like “click here” “link” “this article” and some other similar typical texts.

Search engines don’t like this type of anchor texts and they can throw your blog to the page 2 if you are using this type of anchor texts for all your internal links.

Your anchor text you use for a link to your blog should be keyword enrich. This will also looks pretty to the visitors and also loved by search engines. I am not asking you to stuff your anchor texts with keywords. Just try to make them pretty and use one keyword which is related to the blog post to which it was pointing. This can make it look much better and also help search engines to scroll through your content better.

Bottom Line:

If you are making any of these above listed mistakes, just don’t be sad. No one is an expert by birth, everybody learn from mistakes. No matter if you made any of these mistakes in the past, just correct them and avoid them now. You can get your rankings back or can improve them once the crawler re-crawl your blog and you will start getting your share of traffic.

How to build your E-mail list? (Tutorial)

In this tutorial, we will use an automated e-mail marketing tool to make it easy for us to manage our email subscribers.

An e-mail marketing tool can help us collecting e-mails, send them automated welcome messages and along with that you can send your e-mail to all of them once. This will also allow users to unsubscribe from your newsletter or e-mail list, anytime if they want.

You can also export your subscribers in an excel sheet for any personal purpose.

For our tutorial, we will use an e-mail marketing service called “Mail Chimp” because I am using this service for the last 2 years and the experience was great. They also offer a FREE plan for the beginners to jump into e-mail marketing.

Setting up MailChimp

Step 1: Creating an account on MailChimp

1. First of all, all you have to do is to go to MailChimp’s website and click “Signup for Free”
2. Provide your e-mail address, choose a username and a password

1. Sign into the e-mail account you provided and click on the verification link in the e-mail, you received from MailChimp.

1. Once you verified your e-mail account, they will ask you to complete your profile. Just fill the profile with the necessary information.
2. You can also connect your MailChimp account with Facebook or Twitter profiles, but it is not necessary and I am not going to do it here.

Now to get started, you have to create a list first. List are set of contacts, you can them create signup forms for that lists or set up a campaign to e-mail all people in that list.

To do this, just click on “Create list” button.

Here you can see all lists you have created in the past or can create a new one.

Once you click the button, it will display a form to create a new list. You have to fill out the necessary information. Here are some important terms to know, before you fill this form.

• Default from email address: This is your official e-mail of your blog on which you can receive emails because people can reply to this email.
• Default from the name: This is the default name, shown to all the subscribers of that list whenever an e-mail is sent.

Once you completed the form hit “Create list” and after the list is created you will see with a screen like this.

If you have e-mail list previously, you can import it into your MailChimp’s list or you can start building your e-mail list from scratch, by creating a signup form.

Now the second step is to create a “Sign-up form” and place its code on your blog.

Step 2: Creating a signup form and placing it on your blog.

Now, we have created a list and it’s time to start building it. You need to place a signup form on your blog, in order to make people able to subscribe your blog.

Here is “How to do it?”

1. Go to your MailChimp’s dashboard.
2. Click on “View Lists” link, in the “Create a list” section.

1. Here you can see the list, you have recently created.
2. Just click on the list name.
3. Now go to “Signup forms” tab.

Here you can see a number of different types of signup forms, which MailChimp supports.

6. Because we want to use a signup form for our blog, choose “Embedded forms”
7. After that, you will see a screen like this.

Here you can create your contact form to fit and suit your blog’s template. Once you finished designing your “Subscription Form” just copy and paste the below code in your blog, wherever you want this contact form to appear.

To make your Signup form look better, you can change the size, color, the text and also the number of fields.

Once you start getting subscribers, you can send those emails through “Campaigns” and can also export it and e-mail them manually. There are thousands of free and professional looking email templates in MailChimp to work and create your own designs.

How to Find Free Music Online?

The first and foremost saying is that “free” word is the most expensive word. In the royalty free music industry, most of the time you have to give credit back to the creator of the music when you use their music in your commercial or noncommercial production. Sometimes, You’ll find absolutely free music where you don’t need to give any credit to the original creator, but that’s not always the case.

If you properly understand and utilize the Creative Commons Licences, you’ll be glad to know that you can use almost any type of MUSIC in your videos for free. But the science here is that nobody is interested in reading or mastering the terms and conditions of these licences.

A few days ago, I published a guide on how to find free images for blog posts, some of my readers asked me on YouTube about free Music, and I then researched about it, because I myself have been very careful while using free Music as it can create troubles in no time.

I found many websites for free music, but most of them I doubted about. Even the most popular website SoundCloud.com has copyright problems with music. So I won’t suggest taking free music from SoundCloud to use in your commercial projects.

I found some of the below resources you can confidently use to get free music from and include in your commercial or non-commercial productions such as YouTube tutorials and explainable videos. I myself use some of the background musics for quite sometime without any issue.

YouTube Free Music Library

The first resource I’ll recommend is the great YouTube itself, YouTube has gathered a great collection of free Music tracks from hundreds of creators around the world. You can find which type of licence you want for a music by playing it in the YouTube library, I find it very easy to select music for my videos.

You can find music by category and by creator. It has given you many filters to select from and choose your music track conveniently. For practical explanation, please watch the video above in Urdu/Hindi.

Vimeo Free Music Library

Vimeo is the second giant in video sharing after YouTube, they also have a free music library where you can find premium music as well. I’m selecting these official platforms, because they are also very serious about any type of copyright claims. Almost every free music in the Vimeo Library needs a credit/attribution from you back to the original creator as required by Creative Commons Licence.

BenSound.com

The last platform I’ll recommend is bensound.com. I was really inspired by the quality work the French musician has done on his website. He has a royalty free music category, where you can use his MP3 music in any of your video, and can make money with that video online. You just need to credit him back with a link of his site in the description of your video. He has total of 69 music tracks on his website, and if you go for a subscription package then you can buy all the music tracks for $129.

I recommend this platform just because of the quality music tracks I found there. And one thing to be noted that if you buy his music for your professional work then you always have a proof to show that you have purchased the music. As you might know, sometimes unintentionally your background music matches with any other guy or company on YouTube and you Automatically get a strike, which you can resolve if you have the proof.
