How to Make Money with Twitter

Every time we turn around we’re hearing about another social networking site offering users unlimited possibilities. Twitter is just such a site. Twitter is a very popular site that’s gaining more popularity every day. Members are constantly “tweaking” their friends, family members and even work associates! It seems like almost every one of all ages has a Twitter account today and many are making money doing it. Yes, you can make money with Twitter. Join the thousands of others that are doing that very thing. While you won’t become a millionaire overnight, Twitter offers you a great chance to earn some real cash!

Twitter Offers Many Money-Making Opportunities

There are several ways you can make money with Twitter. Before you can begin making money on Twitter, you will need lots of contacts the better. It’s been shown that Twitter users are getting as many as 20,000 followers within just the first month or two of joining. Imagine if you made a sale to just 1% of these followers: you’d have sold to 200 people. The opportunities to make money are endless with Twitter. So make as many friends as you can on Twitter and develop a good trusting relationship with these users. The more Twitter friends you make, the better your opportunity to make money.

Become an Affiliate on Twitter

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online while doing very little in the way of work. Most online companies offer an affiliate program to anyone interested. Find a company that offers affiliate marketing (it will be on the bottom of their website). Sign up and wait to hear from them. They’ll check out your Twitter page and make sure it offers good opportunities for sales. Once they’ve accepted you as an affiliate, you’re all set to go.

Put up an attractive ad for the business and promote it to all your followers. The more of your followers you can get to purchase the product, the more money you’ll make. Since Twitter is such a large social networking site, the possibilities just keep getting bigger and bigger. Some companies will even pay if a person just clicks on the ad without making a sale, although these are rarer. Affiliate marketing is a very popular way to make money and if you have a Twitter page anyways (who doesn’t?), you may as well make some money at the same time.

Make Money on Twitter with RevTwt

RevTwt is a platform that deals with CPC (cost per click) and allows you to make money from your tweets. For those unfamiliar with Twitter, tweets are messages and posts you put on your Twitter page.

Sign up for an account with RevTwt and they’ll check out your Twitter profile. After doing this, they’ll allow you to put ads for different products or services on your Twitter page. Each time someone clicks on these ads, you can make money.

Make Money With Google AdSense

http://jobsgoogleonline.blogspot.com/

[Note: Today, I earn much more than the amount on that check. The reason I do not have a more recent check to display is Google pays me by direct deposit now.]

Anyone who owns or is thinking about creating a website would be crazy to ignore this.

I am happy to say that making money with your site, no matter the topic, has become easier than it's ever been before - and it's 100% legitimate.

If AdSense had been available in 2000, I would have NEVER shut down my soap opera fan site that received 200 hits per day. I would have been able to earn money from that traffic and probably turned a small profit.

Untold Facts About AdSense you need to know in order to succeed with the program!

Yes, the money can be great, but if you don't learn how to build a site that attracts targeted traffic then you won't make much from AdSense.

Don't pay a cent for these "Get Rich Quick" books on AdSense. Many of them are all hype. Learn all you need to know for free.

What is AdSense?

Google.com earns most of its revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. All this is managed through a program they call AdWords.

Now you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by displaying these same text ads on your site. In other words, you're helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.

This program is called AdSense.

Every website owner should at least consider the program. Even if your site is just for information purposes, you can still participate and make decent money with AdSense -- or at least enough to fund your website.

So if you are one of those people that doesn't like the idea of paying for a site, this is an excellent way to earn your money back and then some.

How Much Can You Earn With AdSense?

Google does not disclose exactly how much you'll earn per ad that is clicked.

The commission you receive per click depends on how much advertisers are paying Google for the particular ad. You will earn a share of that amount. I've heard of earnings anywhere from 2 cents to $15 per click.

So it is logical to believe that keyword phrases like debt free, employment, make money, mp3, sex, etc. will earn you more per click since these are highly competitive keywords that are searched for quite a bit on the web.

Advertisers generally pay more for popular terms because they are searched for more.

Even though Google will not reveal how much you are earning for each ad that is clicked from your site, you can still login to your account at any time and see the total amount of revenue you've generated that day, week, month, year, etc.

For example, if you see that you've made $12.60 today from 9 clicks then you can calculate that your average click-thru commission was $1.40 per click. That's as detailed as their stats will get. Also remember, that's only an average. You won't know how much each specific ad brought in.

The amount you'll earn also depends largely on the amount of targeted traffic you receive to your own site, how well the ads match your audience's interests, the placement of the ads on your pages, and of course the amount you receive per click.

Ideally, you should create a site on a topic you know a lot about. That way you'll have a much easier time creating a generous amount of content on that subject.

My Google AdSense Earnings

I have been receiving monthly checks from Google since 2003, and I've read numerous success stories of websites earning 5 digit incomes per month with AdSense.

Now, I will admit, a 5-digit commission in a single month is probably not the norm for most participants.

I promote AdSense on three of my websites and my monthly checks are usually around the $6,000 mark.

My sites have been around for a long time and I have a great deal of traffic so that's a big reason why I earn so much. I promote my sites on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc. Making a lot of money with AdSense is all about numbers. The more traffic you have, the greater the earning potential.

My checks weren't always this large. I think my first month's earnings in 2003 totaled less than $20. However, as my traffic increased, so did my checks.

Creating Your Website for AdSense

Before you even begin your site, make sure you've come up with a topic that you feel you know plenty about. That way it will be easiest to write a lot of content.

The more content you have, the better chance you have getting accepted into the program. Also, the more content, the greater the earning potential. AdSense is nothing but a numbers game. If you want to make a lot of money, prepare to write a lot of content.

Now let's talk about building your website. There are two ways you can approach this:

1) Do it Yourself (DIY) from scratch

2) Use Site Build It! (SBI!)

The Do It Yourself Method

I've actually used both methods for building my site and there are advantages and disadvantages to both.

If you use the DIY method, you will have to go and register a domain name (yoursite.com) and then sign up for a web host and build your pages. You can either learn HTML or buy some kind of web editor like Microsoft FrontPage to build your pages. That's the method I used to build this site.

Averaging between $7 and $15 per month, the DIY method is usually the most cost friendly of the two but you are mostly on your own in terms of learning how to create your web pages and adding the AdSense code to your site.

Web hosts are generally there to house your site. They don't specialize in helping you market and optimize your site for the search engines to help you get traffic. So don't expect a lot from them in terms of helping you market your site and making money with Google AdSense.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. I had to learn how to build this site on my own and it wasn't very difficult.

I now manage all of my sites with Dreamweaver.

Use Site Build It ! - A Web Host Made for AdSense

This is a revolutionary web host like no other. I use it for my site, flat-stomach-exercises.com, and after only 11 months the site was earning over $700 per month for AdSense alone.

Two years after launch, the total monthly earnings shot up to $2,000 to $2,500.

Today, the site continues to earn money from AdSense yet I have no products to sell. I'm simply offering information on a topic I know a lot about and SBI showed me how to rank high in the search engines for various keyword phrases. Over 90% of traffic comes from the free search engines.

The reason SBI! is different from the other do-it-yourself hosts is that first it provides all the web page building and marketing help all in one place. Your domain registration, web hosting and marketing help come with the price..

Super Easy Web Page Builder

Creating your pages is as simple as entering text into form fields and using the user-friendly editor to add text, create links, add pictures and more. No software is needed to install or download. You simply select a template you want to use and your site is built in seconds...literally.

I took a screenshot of the SBI! interface...

Video Guides

What's even better is that you will receive a Video Action Guide to walk you through how to setup and promote your site.

Remember, without traffic, you won't make any money with AdSense. That's why having a host like SBI is so important. Keep in mind, a regular DIY host does NOT help you with search engine rankings and traffic. They just give you the space and a "good luck!"

Brainstorming Tool

Site Build It also comes with a powerful brainstorming tool. So for all of you sitting there wondering about a topic, this tool literally scours the net and helps you decide on the best topic by showing demand and supply (i.e. number of sites on X topic and roughly how feasible it will be to bring in traffic for that particular subject). It is amazing.

The creator of Site Build It even built a micro site that describes how to maximize your AdSense earnings. And since Site Build It's main goal is to show you how to build income through content...it's almost as if AdSense was designed specifically for a web host like SBI.

I highly recommend using SBI -- especially if you plan on building a site specifically to earn money from AdSense. It is the kind of host that stands for everything AdSense is about -- rewarding website owners for building an abundance of useful content.

Even though the two companies are not related, it really is the perfect marriage between a great concept like AdSense and a web host that is dedicated to showing you how to make money by simply providing information.

Successful SBI Websites

Be sure to also take a peek at all the successful SBI websites created by mostly beginners who have never created a site before. Every site listed on this page is in the top 3% in terms of amount of traffic received on the web - thanks to the SBI search engine help.

Find out why I think SBI! is best for AdSense.

How to Join AdSense

Once you have 10-15 pages on your site, go to http://adsense.google.com to apply.

When you are accepted, simply copy and paste the provided HTML code into any page that you'd like to show the ads. If you've done a good job of defining the content on your web pages, the ads that show should be relevant to the content of your page...increasing the chances of click-thrus by your visitors.

You can either display the ads vertically along side the page like Google does or in a banner-like formation horizontally across your pages. The placement is up to you. You can even customize the colors to match your site's theme.

Tips on Succeeding With AdSense

Here are some tips for achieving success with Google AdSense.

1. Create a website with your (YourSite.com). Don't try to use a free web host because your site will likely have banners and pop-ups and get rejected because it looks unprofessional. Not to mention, a free web host will give you a website address like this:

http://www.thefreewebhost.com/yoursite/member1234/home.html

instead of...

http://www.yoursite.com

Start by registering your own domain and then select a web host.

2. If you don't know web programming or have no desire to learn it, get a beginner's design editor like Dreamweaver (what I use) or CoffeeCup. You can publish your content directly to the web from the software.

Keep in mind you can't use the software alone. You must have a web host that will allow you to publish your site to the Internet.

3. If the main goal of your site is to make money with AdSense, be sure to choose a topic that you know a lot about so you can write lots and lots of content.

4. Get traffic. Once your site is up and running you'll need to learn how to get your site listed in the major search engines.

Getting into Google is completely free and can bring in hundreds or even thousands of visitors per day. All you have to do is submit your site to them and wait patiently while Google adds it to the index. It can take a few months. Patience is key with Google. Then do the same with Yahoo, MSN, etc.

Read up on how the search engines rank pages here.

And while you're waiting it's important you build up as much unique content around your theme as possible. Google loves large sites with useful content centered around a specific theme.

Don't create a hodgepodge site with topics on everything under the sun. Stay focused and make sure your site has an obvious theme.

How to Join AdSense

Once you have 10-15 pages on your site, go to http://adsense.google.com to apply.

Tips on Succeeding With AdSense

Here are some tips for achieving success with Google AdSense.

http://www.thefreewebhost.com/yoursite/member1234/home.html

instead of...

http://www.yoursite.com

Start by registering your own domain and then select a web host.

What is an iFrame application?

2011-09-08T01:38:00.000-07:00

An iFrame application you allows you to embed an external Web page in your Facebook Page tab (in the new Page layout, "tabs" have been moved from the top of the page to the left column.).

The good news is that the iFramed Web page, because it isn't hosted on Facebook, can use standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript like any other Web page does. Interactions with Facebook content are done using the Facebook Software Development Kits (SDKs) and XFBML tags. (For this tutorial, the Facebook SDK is not required.)

The downside of this approach is that you need to be familiar with those technologies and you will need a Web-accessible server where you upload the files for your application page.

Setting up your server

On your Web server, create a directory for your iFrame application. In this example, we are going to create a new directory on the server called "facebook" and then a subdirectory called "mytestapp". The file path will look something like this in your FTP program:

You will want to put all of your files (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, etc) in this folder or its subdirectories. If you don't know how to do this, read this FTP tutorial.)

Your HTML file

Remember, in your HTML file you can utilize CSS — and inlining styles with the <style> ... </style> tags works fine with iFramed HTML files — and JavaScript (Do not use FBML or FBJS!).

You'll want to set the main container DIV for your content to 520 pixels wide. Here's a very stripped-down example of your HTML file:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en">
<head>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" />
<style type="text/css">
body {
width:520px;
margin:0; padding:0; border:0;
}
</style>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
charset=iso-8859-1" />
</head>
<body>
<div id="container">
<p>This is some HTML content</p>
</div>
</body>
</html>

In the above example, I include both the code for an external stylesheet called with the <link /> tag, as well as inlined styles called with the <style> ... </style> tags, in case you want to do it that way. Either should work fine.

Installing the Facebook Developer Application

The first step in creating an application in Facebok is to install the Facebook Developer application.

To do that, log in to Facebook and then visit the URL http://facebook.com/developers

If this is your first time installed the Developer Application, you will see the Request for Permission dialog show below:

Click the Allow button to proceed.

Creating your iFrame application

Now that you have the Developer App installed, click on the Create New App button.

Give you application a name, click the Agree bubble and then click the Create App button.

Enter the security phrase and then click Submit.

There are a lot of options you can tweak related to your application. In this post, we are going to focus on the basics needed to get your application up and running.

The "About" Tab: Name your application and set a small and large icon

Give your app a name that is short and descriptive. This name will appear on your list of apps on your developer page.

The icons are quite important, especially the small one now that it's shown in the left-column navigation. So make it eye catching. If you don't create your own icons, you'll get the defaults, as shown below.

The "Facebook Integration" Tab: The really important stuff!

Click on the Facebook Integration tab on the left to get started.

In the Page Tabs section, enter information about the location where you have stored your application files.

The Tab Name is what will appear on the sidebar of your Fan Page. It can be up to 16 characters in width;
The Page Tab Type should be set to iFrame;
The Tab URL is the complete path, including file name, of the file that should be loaded first when the Tab is loaded into your Fan Page. It will generally end with index.html, index.php or something similar;
The optional Secure Tab URL is the complete path, including file name, of the file that should be loaded first when the Tab is loaded into your Fan Page if the visitor is accessing Facebook over a Secure connection (https://facebook.com). It will generally end with index.html, index.php or something similar. This URL must begin with https:// so leave it blank if you don't have a SSL certificate for your server.

Note: If you do not enter a Secure Tab URL, visitors will not be able to access your Custom Fan Page Tab if they are connected to Facebook over SSL (https). The app will not be visible to them and they will see your Wall rather than your Custom Tab if they access your Fan Page.

Click the Save Changes button.

Installing your iFrame application on your Fan Page

Once your Facebook application has been created, you will need to add it to your Fan Page. To do that, click on the Application Profile Page link on the right side of your application page.

Now click the Add to My Page link on the left.

A dialog overlay will open and will show any pages that you are an Admin on.

Find the page that you want to add the Tab to and click the Add to Page button.

Your new iFrame app should now appear on your Fan Page. If you don't see it there right away, you may need to adjust your Page settings. From your Fan Page, click on the Edit Page link. Then click on Apps and find the application that you just added. Click on the Edit Settings link next to the app and Add link.

Troubleshooting

Based on feedback to this post, we are starting to compile some iFrame App Troubleshooting Tips. We will update this section as new questions some up.

Check your URLs!
Make sure that the URL you set for your iFrame is correct. Try accessing it directly, via your browser, instead of via your Page tab. Bad URL addresses are the most common problem. If the URL to the Web page or image you want in your iFrame Page tab is incorrect, obviously the tab won't work.

You can also test the validity of your URL by right-clicking the area where your iFramed content should be and then select "This Frame: Open Frame in new window" or something similar (each browser presents this option a little differently).

Error messages from your server (error 405 - HTTP verb or similar)
If your server returns an error when Facebook tries to load the HTML page into the iFrame, you may need to change the file extension from .html to .php or .aspx (depending on the server platform you are using). When Facebook loads the iFrame, they do a POST to the index page in order to pass some data to your application and it looks like some servers are set up to not allow a POST to a file with the .html extension. We will be taking a look at how to access the data that Facebook passes in the next tutorial, but I wanted to mention this now since it caused issues for some people.

Scroll Bars
If your iFrame content causes a horizontal scroll bar to appear, something is causing the width to exceed 520 pixels, which is the maximum that Facebook allows. Read our tutorial on troubleshooting and eliminating the iFrame scrollbars.

We recommend adding some CSS (either inline as shown below or in your separate CSS file) to remove margin, padding, and border from elements by default. Many browsers add spacing around certain elements by default which can cause the scrollbars to appear unexpectedly.

Next Steps

If you are famaliar with HTML and CSS, you can begin building your tab page content right away. In future tutorials, we will be looking at adding interactivity to your Tab using the PHP SDK and XFBML tags.

Up next: Creating a Reveal Tab on an Facebook iFrame application using the PHP SDK

We would love to hear what you would like to see in this series -- If you would like to know how to do something specific using iFrame applications, just note it in the comments and we will see what we can do.

How to Earn 10 Dollars Per Day from Adsense

2011-09-07T08:19:00.001-07:00

Google adsense is the main money making program most of the bloggers use initially. Unfortunately it doesn’t work how you expect. I still remember those days I used to check my adsense earning every one hour to see whether anyone clicked my ads and how much I earned. Most of the time, it disappointed me. I’m sure most of the newbie bloggers will be doing the same thing. Then, I started investigating the time and work involved in earning 10 dollars daily from adsense. I found nice suggestions in internet for my doubt. In this post let me explain how to earn 10 dollars per day from adsense- its from my experience.

The interesting suggestion I found is, creating 10 websites which can make 1 dollar per day, so at end of the day you earn 10 dollars daily from adsense. Sounds cool?, but who will create 10 websites?. Making 10 dollars per day is very much possible with your single existing blog or website.

Did $27 Really Turn Into $4500 Per Month?

2011-09-03T08:32:00.000-07:00

We investigate the Story about someone who Makes over $4,500/Month

Are There Any Legit Work At Home Programs?
With unemployment numbers extremely high, everybody is looking to make a few extra bucks these days. Many people are turning to work at home programs... but which ones are REAL and which ones are SCAMS?
Online Career Journal just had to find out. In looking at ways to make money online, we came across a story about Susan Wilson now found online at SusansBusinessBlog.com.
Like many, Susan was frustrated with the day to day. She was working hard and nothing to show but a stack of bills. She was looking for a way to make money online so she didn't have to break her back every night waiting tables. That's when she stumbled across these two guys- Ben and Dave. Here is where she found them: www.sixfigurekit.com. Curiosity got the best of Susan and she filled out a simple online form and put out just a little money to try a program she came across. Before she knew it, she discovered her secret to beating the recession, and being able to make a living while at home.
We read Susan's story and decided to feature it in today's investigative report. She shares her amazing story, "I'll cut right to the chase: This program works. These guys are the real deal. I make an average of $4,500 per month online. All I use is my laptop and an Internet connection. There are no products to sell, or inventory, or anything like that. These guys are legit. The harder you work, the more money you make – but if you don’t follow the program, you won’t make anything. A person who joins and follows the steps laid out in the generally program makes $20 which is sent to their house within 7 - 10 business days."

"I actually make $4,500 a month working from home."
- Susan Wilson

Online work has been a financial windfall for Susan, who was working long hours for small tips. "I remember the day I got my first check. I had just worked a 9.5 hour shift at Cracker Barrel and had made a whopping $75. When I got home and discovered how much I made, I felt like jumping up and down. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I literally wanted to run outside around my apartment complex, yelling and doing cart wheels!! After I settled down, I became emotional because I realized what this meant for my life."
When asked how she started her remarkable journey. "After I saw these guys on a TV interview, I decided to sign up. I figured that it couldn't be a scam since they seemed like honest, down-to-earth guys. After all, it they were giving a $70 instant rebate and it came with a money back guarantee, so I figured I had nothing to lose. Here's what happened after I got my package: I signed up and followed the step-by-step blueprint. These guys used to work regular jobs like me but retired after making a few Million Dollars online. They showed me exactly how to make money with simple websites just like they do."

Tips for productivity!

2011-09-02T06:58:00.000-07:00

The fact is that if you are not productive, you won’t make money. Here are some ideas on how to organize yourself and use your time and other resources to best advantage:

1. Don’t get overwhelmed. Looking at everything you have to do at one time can be discouraging, but remind yourself you will soon have it all done.

2. Organize your workspace. You’ll spend less time looking for what you need.

3. Make sure the space is comfortable. You’ll work better when the surroundings are pleasant.

4. Double check to make sure you have what you need before you start. It will save a lot of time later.

5. Cut off contact with others while you work. This is especially important if you work at home.

6. Eliminate all distractions. That means no television in the background.

7. Eat healthy. You’ll be sharper if you get the nutrients you need each day.

8. Have a basic schedule for each day – that means no impromptu three-hour lunches.

9. Don’t skip lunches. You need the break to keep your productivity up in the afternoon.

10. Stop your day on time. Working into the night will make tomorrow that much harder.

11. Get plenty of rest. Along with nutrition, this is the best thing you can do to keep yourself productive.

12. Start the day with a promise to yourself that you will get lots done.

13. Go to your work area even if you woke up in grumpy mood.

14. Make a list. When it is all down in black and white, your tasks seem less intimidating.

15. Prioritize the list. What has to be done first and what can wait until later?

16. Be realistic. You can’t cram twenty one-hour tasks into one day.

17. Know your body rhythm. If you are more alert in the afternoon, schedule the bulk of your tasks then. If you are a pretty even individual, schedule each hour of the workday accordingly.

18. Do the easy stuff at the top of the list first. Scratching off several action items will motivate you to keep going.

19. Multi-task on the small stuff. It is okay to make a surf Twitter while you make phone calls.

20. Forget multi-tasking with the big stuff. Focus on one thing and get it done before moving on to the next.

21. Proof your work before going on. It’ll prevent you from having to do things twice.

22. Try to arrange to do like things in one block of time. Write all your blogs, then do all your social networking, then send out your emails. It’ll make life a lot easier.

23. Allow for the unexpected. Things come up, so build a few blocks of time into your schedule to handle them.

24. Handle the unexpected, then get back to the next task on your list.

25. Plan some buffer time in between tasks. It will give your brain a chance to rest and start the next task with a fresh attitude.

26. Don’t be upset when something temporarily derails your schedule. Things will work out all right.

27. Accept that circumstances beyond your control may make it impossible to do something on your list today.

28. Don’t sweat the delay, simply make that task the priority tomorrow.

29. Keep in mind some tasks may have to be scheduled to accommodate others.

30. Delegate if and when you can. Believe it or not, you don’t have to do everything yourself.

31. Scan information when possible. You’ll still get what you need, just a little faster.

32. Put things away when you are done with them. It’ll save you time when you need them again.

33. Check off items as you go. Seeing the list shrink is motivating.

34. Get away from your desk or laptop now and then. Even two minutes away will rest your eyes and keep you from slowing down.

35. Keep a second list for things that pop into your head while working on other stuff. You can refer to it later as necessary.

36. Take a break in the afternoon – a real one, not two minutes to rest your eyes. Fifteen minutes will take away a lot of stress and make it easier to keep going.

37. Bookmark important web sites; this includes your web site, your social networking login pages, and any reference sites you use regularly.

38. Archive all your web copy on a remote storage device. Update the stored data every time you make a change.

39. Make sure your hard drive files as well as your hard copy files are always in order, so you can find what you need at once.

40. Keep your office stocked with supplies; otherwise, you’ll have to interrupt your day to go get something you need right this minute and waste valuable time.

41. Do as much ordering, funds transfers, and other tasks via the Internet as you can. You save time doing your errands from your desk.

42. Keep something to drink handy. A bottle of water nearby saves time on trips to the refrigerator.

43. Schedule one hour near the end of the day as a catch up period. Any tasks that got put off earlier can be addressed during that time.

44. Prepare your schedule for the following day. It’ll make it easier to dive in when morning comes.

45. Review what you have accomplished. You’ll be surprised and pleased at everything that got handled.

46. Lay out what you will need to handle those first few tasks on the new day.

47. Check the printer for paper and ink; make sure there is plenty for the next day.

48. Organize your workspace before you leave. It’ll be easier to face in the morning.

49. Close the door, pull the curtain, do whatever you must do in order to separate your workspace from your living space.

50. Leave your work area and do not return until the next day, no matter how tempting it is to return to do one more thing.
