Whenever a visitor clicks on one of these ads, you get a cut of Google's share (which, as recently revealed, is as high as 65%). Over time, a lot of these clicks can add up to significant income.

The other method is through affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is basically a fancy term for promoting others' products and getting a commission in case of a sale. The best part about affiliate marketing is that you don't have to deal with any inventory, customer service, etc. - this is all handled by the vendor whose products you are promoting.

Most of the big blogs such as TechCrunch, Huffington Post, etc. make money through this method.

It is not uncommon for individuals to begin their lives as a blogger with the idea that they can become a pro blogger, and begin blogging for dollars. The biggest downfall to this mentality is becoming a pro blogger, and to actually make money blogging is a process that takes time and effort, and will not happen overnight.

This results in a lot of failed blogs on the internet, abandoned to collect the proverbial internet dust, and in my mind is a sad state to leave ones hopes and dreams.

Blogging for dollars is not difficult. But many people have very high expectations. And very low thresh hold for failure. If your primary objective when starting your first blog is to make money blogging, then you will fail. I am most certain of that. In many cases it takes month, if not years for your blog to have enough content to even generate any interest. It is human nature to always want more, and if your blog cannot support our need, we will just move on.

So, how do you start blogging for dollars?

You start with the basics. You start with a concept or idea for a blog in a niche market that interests you enough for you to be able to generate daily content about the niche you select. You can do this by simply thinking of things that occupy your spare time. Hobbies, sports, interests, it can almost be anything you can think of. The main objective is to have a topic you will not quickly lose interest in, because in the beginning the dollars will not be rolling in, in fact if cents are rolling in you are ahead of many beginner bloggers out there.

But there is more to a topic than just finding your own personal enjoyment. It is critical to find a topic that is not already over populated on the Internet. There are several things you can do to check this. After establishing your topic, search it using Google, and see how many results you get. If you have a topic that generates under 100,000 web page results, you may have a chance with that topic, some topics may turn back millions upon millions of results, and although this is not a make or break step, it is important to know how heavy your competition is.

The real key to this search is to determine the Page rank of the top ten websites within your topic; this will help you determine it you will be able to break into the first page of the search engine results. You can find out page rank by downloading Google's toolbar. There are other tools though, so choose one you are comfortable with. Key point to remember is, any site with a page rank of 4 will be tough for you to compete with. If the first page is loaded with PR 4's and higher, you may want to refine your keyword a bit to see if you can find an easier market.

A simple way to refine your primary niche or Keyword is by using Google's AdWords Keyword Tool; this tool will give you the search totals for your chosen keyword, along with suggested keywords that would fall within your niche.

Once you have established your niche market, it is important to stay on topic. Blog daily about your niche, offering useful information that leave a reader wanting more. This is key to generating traffic, and traffic is the key to blogging for dollars.

Once you have established a writing pattern, and are writing consistent content. Your next responsibility as a new and budding pro blogger, to read other blogs within your niche market and from this you can gather useful information on what others within your market are talking about. On top of that, it offers you the chance to comment on others blogs. Blog commenting is critical. This not only generates awareness or you and your blog, but it also opens up a possible business relationship with the other blogger. As long as your commenting is insightful and not viewed as spam, there is a chance that a conversation can be struck up between you and the other blogger. This opens the door for link exchanging and guest blogging, both of which offer you the chance at more readers.

Now that you are writing consistent content, and you are commenting and networking with other bloggers within your niche marketing, the next step to blogging for dollars is backlinks. Building backlinks will be the main concern for you in establishing solid and consistent page views. Backlinks, using your primary keywords will attract search engine spiders. Increasing the amount of times your blog is indexed and also increasing you're own Page ranking. The goal is to generate enough backlinks to be seen on the first page of any search engine for your specific keywords.

So, now the question how does this have anything to do about blogging for dollars?

It has everything to do with blogging for dollars. Because no matter how you plan to monetize your blog, nothing will be successful if you are not generating traffic.

Whether you use Google's AdSense, or Amazon Associates or some other form of affiliate marketing, or maybe some combination of all. You are still dealing with statistics and statistically speaking, if you do not have people visiting your site, you have no chance of make money online.

I never said blogging for dollars would be easy. And being a problogger will take time, months, maybe even years before you reach a level that you will be satisfied with. Begin with the basics. Learn how to blog, then learn how to make money blogging.

Hello and welcome to this, my new Blog where i will discuss with you how you can use the internet to your financial advantage and how you can break free from the chains of office or manual work and obtain the life that you want.

My own experience is that of working in the private sector for twenty years, but of always thinking that there was always more to life that I could achieve.It has not been easy but with hard work and education through the internet, I am able to say that life is now feeling fairly rosy.I have a house in Norfolk and a house in France and I drive an Audi TT.

I am not saying any of this to brag, but I wish to imply that the oppertunities exist for everyone who is prepared to put the effort in.

Of course, different people have different perspectives on what ,to them, would be a better life.Think for a moment, what is it that you want out of life?
