You may qualify for a grocery credit refund even if you don’t earn enough to file taxes

BOISE, IDAHO — Jan. 29, 2013 — Idaho residents who don’t normally make enough money to file an income tax return can still get a refund of the grocery tax credit for 2012. The tax credit, which offsets the sales tax on groceries, is $90 for Idaho residents who are not required to file an income tax return, plus $90 for each of their dependents. Residents age 65 and older get $20 more. (Read more)

Old ACH Debit system for paying taxes going away

The Idaho Tax Commission ACH Debit system, Global (Taxpayer Advantage) will be retired April 30. TAP (Taxpayer Access Point) is ready to take its place.

New ACH Debit system available for paying taxes

Our new ACH Debit system, Taxpayer Access Point (TAP), is now available for enrollment. It replaces Global (Taxpayer Advantage) which will still be available for making ACH Debit payments through April 30.

Do you make a payment of Idaho tax for someone else? If yes, please note that you must register in TAP as yourself and set up the account for the other party in TAP as a 3rd Party Acct.
