Well here we go again, another loss to report...... doing ok for the first hour and a half and then two bad hands and im out......and i lost with ace king against 5,5 . Just have to keep plugging away.

Well i'm back again for a while, took a break from blogging but decided to take it up agin. As for the poker still playing still getting beaten, just before i started this post i was playing a 1$ 45 seater game of poker and got knocked out when my ace , queen got beaten by ace , 10 on the river. Thats how things have been going for me since my last post, but i still love poker.
As for how ive been playing recently I feel my game has improved a lot, and even though I havent been winning much, my time will come. Anyway more later.

Painful ...... out in 10th place ..... flop a straight with two diamonds but i have king high flush draw..... call a minimum bet from two players ..... next card out one player bets the minimum one calls and i reraise three times the big blind .... one calls and the other folds ...... next card out is a diamond and the first to acts goes all in i have a king high flush draw now and have to call ... and go all in with the remainder of my chips only to come up against a ace high flush draw ..... and my game is over ...... im happy with making the final table but not to going out with that hand ... But poker can be a cruel game ..... made $54.80 but first place makes $739.00

Another break and still in it ......down to the last 12 and im in 9th with 45,000 chips .... the chip leader has 127,000 .... and the blinds are 2,000 , 4,0000 .... hope to make the final 10 ... but delighted to make it this far considering how many chips compaired to the chip leader i had at the end of the first hour.Ok its back on.

Another break and going better.... in 8th place out of 33 ... with 36,000 chips ... chip leader has 66,000 chips ...... need to make the top 20 to be in the money ..... Blinds are big now 600 , 1,200 so we should be loosing people fairly quickly

Out of the Americana game ...... and at the break in the omaha rebuy with 5,800 chips .... chip leader has 37,000 ....... not to worried yet ..... believe it or not in this game i usually only have this many chips at the break ...... oops game is back on .... there is 70 players left.

Ok have two games about to start one is a game of Americana ... small game under 20 players ... and the other is $10 omaha rebuy generally about 115 players .... This game is a tough game .. for the first hour there will be some crazy play and some people will have massive chipstacks compared to others by the end of the first hour .... so it can be difficult to both make the money or win .... anyway ill report back later.

Its being a week of ups and downs ... more downs though ..... had my biggest win of the week last night in my 2 euro omaha rebuy ... a good game ... and after a 30 minutes heads up we made a deal and finished the game ... bringing in another 107 euro ... other than that had 3 other finishes in the money in this game during the week .. but all were for under 20 euro and like most of the games i played this week ... both in my 2 euro and my $5 games .... they were frustrating games where i got all my chips in with the best hand only to loose on the river ..... but the hard part was that for most of these games the person who called and knocked me out made terrible calls and just got lucky .... this probably is the part of poker that takes the longest to get used too ... and you definitely don't feel like writing about it when it happens ..... eg why i haven't posted this week .... but from now on ill just grit my teeth and post ..... as painful as it may be.

Wow at the final table and in second place ..... and only 30 minutes ago i was last out of 25 ... any way ill keep you posted.
Oh no a disaster.
Down to the bubble .... still in it but coming last.
On a 5 minute break ..... still waiting for some one to bubble .... it could be anyone its that close ... I'm in 5th place just slightly behind 4th and only slightly ahead of 6th .... had a disaster about 40 minutes ago had two hands with aces beaten ..... And was nearly gone .... but i fought my way back . Well back to the game .
YESSSSSSS IN THE MONEY just knocked out the person in 6th place ..... I'm now in 1st place.
Now I'm gone .... finished in 4th place winning another $118.80 ..... just didn't go my way ..but in the money .... and after a terrible start to the game so i wont complain ........ but first place wins $432 how i would have liked that.

Another 15 Euro ... not much ..... came 5th in my 2 euro omaha rebuy ...... but i was in the money again ....... got off to a terrible start in this game and had to make a couple of rebuys but after the first hour things got better .... and by the time we hit the final table i was chip leader ... but unfortunately things went bad after that .... and when i got aces and pushed and got one caller ..... things got worse ...... he bet on the flop with a straight draw... and i reraised him all in ... only for him to hit and knock me out ....... but I'm not too disappointed ....... i could have played that hand better .... but overall my play lately has been good and i have been very consistent with my results ..... i also won another $6 playing on a no limit holdem cash table as i was playing the omaha tournament ..... bringing my cash winnings to $21 to-day ..... Lets hope i can continue this.

Getting closer in my $5 rebuy ...... came second and made $201 ... in another tough game .. which ended in a brilliant heads up ...... that could have gone either way ... in fact the lead changed hands quite a few times in this heads up battle which lasted about 45 minutes ..... but even before that when the game was down to the final five ... they were four very good players all looking like it might be there game ............ so things are a bit different this week compared to last week where i kept loosing just before the money ...... but that's poker ...... the thing is to play a good game play good cards and if you can play well consistently .. you will get in the money on a regular basis .... even if you have weeks where you just miss out ...... and even as i write this post I'm playing a no limit holdem cash table where the blinds are 15cent 30cent ..... i brought in with $15 and at the moment i have $30 so going good .

A bitter Bubble

Well that one was annoying ......... I Hate bubbling (last out before the money) especially when i lose with aces to kings ...... This was my 2 euro omaha rebuy ...... it was a tough game ... not so much that people were playing crazy ... just that i hit nothing in the first hour and didn't even increase my starting chips ...... but after the rebuy i managed to build a reasonable chipstack which got me down to the final 12 ..... but after that I was nearly always the bottom of the pile .... and with the blinds being big i had to play aggressively even to hold on to those chips ....... but to no avail ....... a big raise from the chip leader on my table ... i had aces so pushed all in with 14,000 chips he called the extra 7,000 after everyone else folded and hit a king in the flop ... and that was it for me ....... Till the next one .

2 euro omaha rebuy and a second place finish ....... making me another 57 euro ...... its nice to be in the money on a more regular basis ...... and hopefully it continues .... Nothing special to report about this game ..... played a fairly solid game .... took my chances when i needed to ..... and let hands down when i didn't need to call ........ but early on to-day i played a $10 omaha rebuy ..... unfortunately i got knocked out after the first hour and a half but I did have one memorable hand ...... blinds were 50 , 100 and they were 7 callers .. flop was 2c,5h,7h .... first to act bet 200 and every body called ( i had 6h,8h so had a up and down straight flush draw ) turn comes a kh ... which wasn't really what i wanted .... even though i made a flush i don't like playing low flushes ..... every one checks around to me so i check too ... but the last player to act bets 700 chips ... three fold .. two call and then its up to me ...... I thought of folding ... i really was sure i was loosing the hand and would have to hit a 4h or a 9h to win ....... with only one card to come ...... but with a straight flush opportunity and 700 chips not being a big enough bet to push me off the hand I decided to take a chance and see the river ............ and yes a 9h comes ..... I couldn't believe it ... now I was wondering how much am i going to get ....... the firs person to act checks , next to act goes all in for 4,300 chips ( I'm delighted ) I then push all in with my 6,000 chips and the last to act who bet the 700 on the turn folds, and the first person who checked folds also leaving it to the two of us ......... the cards are turned over revealing my straight flush against a ace high flush .......... in all i made a nice 16,000 chips on that hand ........ if only it had continued like that for the rest of the game.

Things are looking up made 4th place in my omaha rebuy ........ got $57.20 ... ( top 5 got paid to day as there was only 42 entrants ) ..... a good game ... wasn't a crazy start .... which is usually the case in rebuys ..... didn't win many hands in the first hour but i had 4,500 chips by the break so i purchased a add on to bring me up to 6,500 ....... the next 45 minutes were uneventful i didn't loose or gain any chips then I had a nice spell for about 15 minutes which took me up to 20,000 chips ...... and then we were down to the final table ..........i managed to get up to 30,000 by the time we hit the final 5 but then it started to go wrong ....... we lost 1 more player leaving 4 of us ... and my chips started to dwindle away ....... not being helped by the blinds which were 1,000 2,000 and finally down to my last hand I was in the big blind with 12,000 chips the first to act made a minimum raise the small blind called ..... i hadn't much of a hand but it made no sense to fold to a minimum raise so i called the extra 2,000 chips ..... the flop came 2,7,8 ..I had a 5,6 in my hand so i pushed all in with my last 8,000 chips ..... the person who raised called and the other player folded...... .... but nothing came on the turn or river to help me ......he had a pair of queens in his hand and that was good enough to win the hand and send me packing.

Yes in the money again ..... my morning $5 rebuy.....61 entrants ...... top 8 get paid ....... finished 7th ....... made $41 not much .... but got back the cost of all my entry fees since I started blogging. It was another tough game ..... only managed to increase my starting chips of 1,500 to 4,500 by the end of the first hour ......... and around a hour later i was still hanging on to them ... but with the blinds increasing to 400 , 800 and down to my last 3,000 chips I had to push all in when I got a good hand and a raise before me ....... ended up with 3 of us in the hand .... and again I hit and trebled up to just over 10,000 chips ...... and within 8 more hands I was up to 25,000 chips and in 6th place out of 15 ...... not much happened then for a while ..... held onto these chips and made the final table ....... another player got knocked out ... leaving 9 of us .. and then it was a very tentative table for about 20 minutes ..... no one wanting to bubble ...... but it has to happen .... and one of the regular and a very good players in this tournament got all his chips in with aces only to be out drawn ..... and now we were in the money . A few minutes later another player got knocked out of the game and then it was my turn ..... everybody folded around to me ( I was the small blind ) i got two kings in my 4 cards so i raise the big blind and he calls ....... the flop comes three spades and I'm smiling as i have the king of spades and another spade ... giving me a flush .. so I just check and he dose to ..... the turn comes and I just push all in ... didn't think there was much chance of getting called and wanted to get on to the next hand ... And guess what he calls ........ and what has he ............................ only the ace high flush draw .... and that was it for me ...... I was left sitting there looking at the screen ........... Oh don't you love poker

Well I finally won a tourney last night ............ This is one of my regular games , it is also quite a crazy game to play at times ............... being a 2 euro rebuy , a lot of people play any 4 cards aggressively for the first hour ......and it can be hard to get a foothold in the game .... but last night I got off to a good start and at the end of the first hour had 9,000 chips ... I managed to hold onto most of these over the next hour ... but couldn't add to them ..... and when I made it to the final table I had 8,000 chips ........... with the chip leader having over 120,000 chips things weren't looking good for me ... but as all the final table (8th of us ) made the money I was happy ....... the last half hour of the game was unreal ..... at one stage I went down to 2,795 chips ..blinds were 500 and a 1000 ......I got a nice hand with 3 callers before me , so I just pushed all in, the next to act was the big blind who called along with the other 3 .... and I won the hand giving me around 15,000 chips ........ and back in the game ...... I then tangled with the chip leader a least on 3 hands and doubled up each time through him before finally knocking him out of the game ... and now there was only three of us left and I was the new chip leader........ the second place then got a nice bit of luck ..... went all in against the player in third ..... who flopped trips but lost to a flush on the river ... and that left 2 of us ......I then won the next two hands .... one of which was a very big hand ...leaving me with over 200,000 in chips and leaving him with around 40,000 ....... and the last hand then I was luckyish ......flopped two pair (aces and nines) ...but there was a club flush draw on the table ...he was first to act and checked ..so i put in a small bet and he called .... next card out was a club and he checked again ..... so I bet again to which he reraised all in ....... I thought about it ...there was a good chance he had a flush but also a good chance he was bluffing ..... so i decided having my two pair i would chance it and called ......... only to see he had a flush .....so it was down to the river .... and me needing a ace or a nine to make a full house and win ............. and a ace comes on the river... Don't you just love poker.

This is getting repetitive ................ played my $5 omaha rebuy his morning came 8th ......... you are probably saying to yourself where did I read that before ........ also probably wondering what type of poker player am i seeing as i haven't won a tourney since i started this blog .............. well you can have that when you always miss the money ........... and then maby a couple of weeks where you make the money two , three or more times in a week .................. and another factor affecting my omaha tourney is the starting numbers is increasing ............ when i first started playing this tourney about a year ago you would be lucky if they were 15 players ....... now there is regularly between 40 and 50 ............. which affects the amount of times you are in the money.

Also played a cash table while playing my omaha tourney, no limit holdem ........ finished up $4 again not much........ but for me anytime i come off a cash table with more than I started with that will do. Like all Limit holdem tables I played recently the play was loose , so I tryed to keep my game tight ............... I still had some bad beats but by keeping tight I won big pots when I did play and win.

What can I say my morning game of Omaha over again ,..... another 8th place...just outside the money again (top 5 get paid ) but it was a good game , no bad mistakes i can think of ..... had one lucky hand got 9,A,A,J ( DIDN'T THINK OF WRITING DOWN THE SUITS) I remember the A,J were suited....... the first player to act raises two times the big blind , the next couple of players fold , I reraise the pot limit ( To hopefully make the next two players fold , which happens) he reraises all in and I called, He has 9,A,A,Q ..........PRACTICALLY THE SAME HAND AS ME,..... I thought split pot ........flop came 5,10,Q nothing to worry about there, then came ...Q....... oh oh I'm in big trouble now he has trip Qs ...........There is not much I can hit to win this hand .....in fact I have to hit a 8 or a K ..........and guess what comes on the river a K , got out of that nicely and got a big pot of chips.
