ClickBank lets the you earn a part of the revenue you make for their customers by facilitating sale of their products. ClickBank provides you a customized referral link which you can use anywhere and if a sale takes place with a customer arriving from that link, you get a handsome commission(which sometimes is more than 50% as well). All you need to do is get some eyeballs of targetted people who might be interested in that product and direct them through your customized link for that product (also called affiliate link). Following are some of the ways people achieve it:

Write a good review of the product and then put a "Click here to buy" link at the end.

Put some links for products based on the context of the article.

Spread the link through social networks like facebook, twitter, etc.

Identify the traffic you get on your website/blog and then analyze what product they would be needing and accordingly put a product link on the sidebar or something in your website/blog.

Though it is all good till now, there happens to be a way to get some of the clickbank products without even paying using simple Google search queries like:

<product name> inurl:”?cbreceipt=”

inurl:”?cbreceipt=” site:www.<productSite>.com

Thank You For Your Order + download site:www.<productSite>.com

Congratulations site:www.<productSite>.com

"Your Credit Card Will Show A Charge From" site:www.<productSite>.com

The result page will have the download link for the product and then it can be downloaded for free. The above is possible only if the product site hasn't been configured properly to not include the page having the download link in search results (This can be done by telling search engines not to crawl them by configuring the robots.txt file). So if you happen to be on the other side, just take care of these things when you put your product up in clickbank.

While this could be an endless list, following are some good approaches which can get you good rewards:

Contribute some articles to revenue sharing sites like infobarrel, xomba, hubpages and generate back links to your blog/website while earning revenue from your articles at the same time.

Track where your traffic is coming from and optimize upon what seems to be generating more traffic and revenue for you. Check How to track Google Adsense clicks and earn more revenue

Use statcounter/google analytics to track your website traffic. Also
set up custom channels and url channels in your AdSense account for
more insights.

Experiment with the ad placement and track using custom channels.

Try including ads "in between" the content of the article.

Blend your ad with the website content, background etc.

Use social networking sites like Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, Google
Buzz etc. You can spread the message in groups of interested people like
if your article is related to "Cooking recipe", share it with Facebook
and Orkut group of people interested in "Cooking" and use similar
hashtags in twitter(#cooking).

Use social bookmarking sites like digg, stumbleupon and SheToldMe

Try using "AdSense for feeds" to make some money from your RSS feeds.

You might try YouSayToo to get some more traffic apart from the normal traffic you already get. Consider some points about YouSayToo Revenue Sharing to see if it suits you.

Integrating with Amazon associates program and affiliate links programs like Clickbank etc. might append some more revenues.

Most importantly, make sure your site is a niche site based on a
particular content and not on various distantly related
topics/categories. The recent changes in the form of Google Panda
algorithm will hurt content farm sites.

Finally, content is the KING, so without some good content from you, it would be tough for you to make something substantial.
Update: I was recently contacted by the YouSayToo team and they nicely explained in detail about some of the open ended points and some which were misleading. I have updated the post accordingly...

On account of some of the points brought into light by my previous post What no one told you about YouSayToo - Top 10 list one of my blog followers apparently commented on JadeDragon's YST review raising questions over them. This led to a healthy discussion amongst us which was indeed very informative and I thought I should share the information with all my followers. I'll just share the main highlights of the discussion else the post would unnecessarily grow very large:

#1 50% revenue sharing <strike>with only for 2+ rating user </strike>with everyone:
This is from the YouSayToo faq (Update: This is very old info, back when we had user ratings and users could
rate posts from -10 to +10. All information that was once provided on
that page is irrelevant now. You should consult our Terms of Use for
current information http://www.yousaytoo.com/about/terms.). But it hasn't been implemented yet apparently.
Ironically, this rule has been there on the site since 10th May 2007 (checked using Internet Archive Wayback Machine), but hasn't been implemented yet. So the rating system isn't new, just never implemented. There is no documentation anywhere as to how the users will be rated -

Frequency of posting?

Content rating by YST users?

Another
point ofcourse might be that they don't
want to implement till the platform gets populated. Once they get
some good(huge?) no. of users (yeah, good is a relative term, but still), then
they would probably go ahead with this and say that it was documented
all the time.

#2 Old blogs not imported?
JadeDragon: "YST works off your RSS feed. Your RSS feed only spits out new posts"
My argument: "Agreed that RSS feeds only spits new posts but since they already have
the mechanism in place to count the number of words in your previous
posts(else it doesn’t accept the blog), building a mechanism to import
previous posts shouldn’t be that tough."

#3. Backlink on our blog before associating with YST
JadeDragon: "It is a security measure. Only the blog owner has the ability to
add that YST backlink to a blog. If they did not have this rule people
could go around the web adding everyone elses blog to YST and making the
adsense share with no more effort"
Me: "Agreed! I missed out
that point of view. What I initially thought is that those who RSS
others' blog will risk their adsense account but your point makes more
sense."

#4. Profile links indexing by search engines
JadeDragon: "I’ve seen the profile link indexed when checking backlinks."
Me: Again, YST faqs mention that they aren't.
JadeDragon: "I can’t quite understand the “no index” of links from your profile.
Maybe they mean “no follow” because the profile pages surely get
indexed. Strange indeed."

I hope that this discussion has been informative to you. The main motive is just to bring in front all the available information for you and thus keep you updated.

What no one told you about YouSayToo - Top 10 list

Update: I was recently contacted by the YouSayToo team and they nicely explained in detail about some of the open ended points and some which were misleading. I have updated the post accordingly...

In the previous post, we discussed a couple of points about YouSayToo which are generally overlooked. I'll brief the points previously discussed in the initial points in list below and then continue with the top 10 list:

50% adsense revenue share <strike>only if your rating is 2+ </strike>(for everyone)<strike>
</strike>

Duplicate content rated low by Google, initial backlink "forcibly" put on your blog to YouSayToo before associating your account might make YouSayToo articles rank higher in Google's eyes. YouSayToo backlinks we get back to our blog are "no follow" (Update: The backlink is needed to prove ownership of the blog to prevent plagiarism.)

YouSayToo allows you to
donate your earnings to a charitable organization but that is a clause
in that! And if you want to make sure that you are doing your bit of
charity, you should know this else it will just give you a false feeling
of being charitable. YouSayToo terms say that it can use the
accumulated donations to its own discretion if the total amount of
donations doesn't exceed $500 to a charity organization on February 28th
every year. (Update: The full version is:

7.18. YouSayToo.com reserves the right to stop donating to any charity
organization, if the total amount of donations to a concrete charity
organization doesn't exceed $500 on the last donation transfer day
(February 28). In this case YouSayToo.com has rights to dispose with
accumulated donations by its own discretion.)

When you add your blog to YouSayToo, your old articles aren't
imported to YouSayToo. Only the new entries will be imported once you
have associated your blog RSS with YouSayToo. Moreover, you need to have
minimum 250 words for the last 3 posts, <strike>so if your blog is just a video
with a little description, that won't help.</strike> (Update: YST system detects images and videos in posts if the feed setting is set
to Full. The 256 characters requirement applies only to text-only
posts.)

If you don't have the RSS feed for a particular article of yours,
you can still submit that article but at the bottom include "From:
<source url>"

If your article includes a lot of links to your own blog/website
which becomes spammy or is just written for the sake of driving traffic
to other website giving just a brief and appending with "Read more",
such articles or the complete blogs as well will be deleted from
YouSayToo. (Update: Excessive linking is not allowed regardless of the website(s) the links go to.)

The website link that you provide in the profile page won't be
indexed and you won't get any back link and corresponding search engine
benefits because of the link on profile page.

You need to be the author of the articles you submit or the blogs
you RSS feed in YouSayToo. You can't just use someone else's RSS feed
and earn from it or use some plagiarized articles to earn from!

When you refer a person, you get 15% adsense impression share on his posts from
YouSayToo's ad share while the person you have referred retains his 50%
share. (Update: The share is from his/her AdSense impressions) So now, for this level 1, the equation is:

Referred person(50%) + YouSayToo(35%) + You(15%).
Moreover, for every person referred by that person, you get more 10%
share from YouSayToo's account. So the equation for level 2 becomes:
Referred person(50%) + Your referred person(15%)+ YouSayToo(25%) + You(10%)

Because 10 looks better than 9 or 11 ;)

The last one is skipped in most articles because they are
actually advertising their referral link and hence YouSayToo so they
want to prevent most cons from being brought in front of the readers.
But as you can see ahead, by using a referral link, you still get the
same benefit.

Since this post
mainly concentrates on what is generally missed out in YouSayToo
reviews, I've avoided mentioning the general benefits what everyone
talks about like:

Extra income apart from 100% on your blog.

RSS feed to your blogs is used and hence no extra efforts on your part.

Backlinks from YouSayToo to your blog and articles.

Referrals income for 2 levels (15% + 10%).

Various contests with prizes.

Potential to add flash games, videos, images.

Page rank 4 and growing.

You retain the ownership of your articles.

You get extra viewership and fans from YouSayToo community, get help etc.

Again! 10 looks better than 9 or 11 :P

This post discussed the 10 facts about YouSayToo that you might not have been told before, mainly the negative points that you should worry about since everyone has talked a lot about the positive points. While I also mentioned a quick list of 10 positive points, I missed out on one major advantage that YouSayToo can have for the not-so-popular blogs - "YouSayToo Ad banner exchange application".

The ad banner exchange application gives you an opportunity to advertise your blogs on other such similar blogs which have accepted to participate in the ad exchange program. And you will get the same amount of impressions on others' blogs as much you are able to generate on your blog. Moreover, there is some bonus for generated clicks and impressions on these ads which link to others' blogs.

When you are not even being paid for that ad, the last thing you'd want your user to to do is exit your blog and go to someone else's blog from an ad on your blog. This is in addition to the YouSayToo backlink that you were forced to put on your blog at the beginning before associating your blog with YouSayToo. This might even force you to place those ads at some corner of your blog or probably hide the ad under some hood where it isn't visible. Fair enough! But an impression for impression exchange is really worth.

Where should you place YouSayToo ad on your blog?
The bottom-most part of your blog might be your best bet to place the "forced" YouSayToo ads. But then, if you place it just after your article gets over, that might be the most obvious link a user will click since the chain of thoughts of the user might be "Ok, now I'm done reading this article, what to do?" He reads on to the YouSayToo ad immediately next to the article. And all your efforts to hide the ad gone down in a moment(while doing what you thought was the best).

So not placing the ad "immediately" after your post is the key here. In between, you probably can place a related article of yours or popular posts or similar. This will result in greater probability of the user continuing with your blogs rather than bouncing away to someone else's blog based on the YouSayToo ad.

Of course, this is just one suggestion. You can check out my implementation of this here.
Update: I was recently contacted by the YouSayToo team
and they nicely explained in detail about some of the open ended points
and some which were misleading. I have updated the post accordingly...

If you have been searching for new Adsense revenue sharing sites best suited to your needs, YouSayToo has been making a buzz recently. After all you are getting to earn a bit extra for the same blog you write anyways (Yes, you can RSS feed your blog to YouSayToo and your blog stays as it is with just one extra back link to YouSayToo from your blog). So if you have a blog and want to extract a bit more adsense out of it, you might want to try out this new adsense revenue sharing site.

While many have written articles with a lot of positives about YouSayToo, here I'll mention some of the facts that might have stayed away from the limelight in the race to get more referrals(I'll come back to this one later). But I'll try to bring into light a few points generally overlooked so as to give you a complete insight:

YouSayToo <strike>doesn't </strike>share 50% adsense revenue with all it's users who have their adsense associated with YouSayToo. It is only with users who have a rating of 2+ (not even 2) and who have their adsense ID associated(of course). Users are rated on a scale of 0 to 5 (Update: Every post on YouSayToo gets 50/50 revenue sharing ratio regardless of rating.)

Before associating your blog, you are asked to put a YouSayToo back link. While it is not clear why it is done, but there is a possibility is that Google treats the article on YouSayToo as original rather than the one on your blog and your blog ranking might suffer in Google or the entire article at both the places may suffer getting very low search engine traffic. This probably is also the reason why old articles aren't imported since Google might have already cached them and now Google knows which one is original (Though it could be said that RSS feed limitations are there in importing the previous articles but I guess there can always be methods developed easily to overcome that. When they can check if the last 3 articles are greater than 250 words or not, this isn't a completely new issue). So in case you get a lot of traffic from google search, it would be wise to abandon the thought of using YouSayToo. Did I mention that the backlinks you get from YouSayToo are "no follow"? (Update: The backlink from your blog to YouSayToo is needed to prove ownership of the blog to prevent plagiarism.)

Yonda.org is a platform where you can submit your already published articles or even copied articles for that matter and they will be hosted on Yonda website. Now with each article, there are 2 ads and 2 corresponding adsense ids associated, one yours and other that of your affiliate's. You both have equal opportunity to earn from the article while Yonda will take its turn to show its ad 1% of the times.

Affiliate is the person who will market your article by whatever means, be it putting your link in various website signatures, spam mailing, twitter, facebook etc. The main idea behind the platform is that there are some average articles(they don't say average ;)) which can earn provided they are marketed well. It's like a product which does not sell can be sold or its demand can be increased by using proper marketing strategies. So one person submits the articles and another becomes his marketing manager, very much on the lines of distributing responsibilities in organizations for smooth flow of work.

Will this work?

Well, firstly, I wouldn't suggest risking your adsense by submitting copied/plagiarized articles and thus violating the terms of use. Probably, Yonda doesn't let the Google crawler index its content and hence claims to allow copied content but it is too much to risk.

Secondly, you don't know who the marketing manager for your article (affiliate) is and what strategies does he use to market your articles. There is a fair chance that he might use some black hat strategies which might land both of you in trouble. In organizations, when you have a marketing manager, you are in touch with him as to how he is planning to market the product, what are his strategies etc. But here, you have no contact with him, trust that he will perform in the right manner is a whole different issue!

Hence, considering the above, I would not suggest anyone to use the platform, unless you can have a very close friend of yours as a affiliate whom you can trust! If you want some extra views, you probably are better off bookmarking your article to social bookmarking sites like SheToldMe. Here, you earn from the article as well as from the bookmark. Or you can even bookmark others' articles legally!

Social Bookmarking site - SheToldMe

Social bookmarking sites are the latest substitutes for search engines when you are looking for some great websites on the internet which are "approved socially" or in other words, some users have already liked them. These are sites where users help accumulate the good site url by bookmarking on these sites along with a small description about what to be expected there. There are quite a few social bookmarking sites (in fact a lot many), but if you are looking for earning while doing this normal task and coming across some great websites, I'd suggest you to join SheToldMe.

SheToldMe shares 100% adsense ad revenue with you (you can't expect anything better than that!). There are other sites which share in the range of 50% to 80% but SheToldMe shares the complete ad revenue with you! I have come across some really great reviews about the site and hence decided to join the same. I'll let you know here how it turns out for me.

While we are on the topic, you might be interested to know How to bookmark for maximum earnings

Disclaimer: SheToldMe is not a "get rich in a night using Adsense" kind of website and you can't expect to make a fortune out of it. Just treat it as some extra income which will be pouring on you while you do what you anyways normally do!

You can join SheToldMe by clicking below:
