Update on Chris Jericho's WWE Future - What He's Advertised For Through 2012

While reports are that Chris Jericho will be finishing up with WWE soon, advertising indicates that he will be with the company through August's SummerSlam pay-per-view.

Jericho is currently advertised for RAW live events through the RAW Supershow on June 4th. He will then hit the road with Fozzy in the UK from June 6-10th and will host the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in London on June 11th.

Based on advertising, Jericho will return to work with WWE on June 15th. He is advertised for WWE events from then through SummerSlam on August 19th - including No Way Out on June 17th and Money in the Bank on July 15th.

Jericho and Fozzy will participate in the Rockstar Uproar Tour from August 15th through September 30th. WWE is not advertising Jericho for any events after SummerSlam until October. He is also advertised for WWE's overseas tour in late October.

Bob's Opinion: To be honest I won't be missing him. Don't get me wrong, he's very talented, I just do not like his character

WWE Makes Significant Error with Big Show and John Laurinaitis Storyline on RAW

During last night's opening segment on RAW, John Laurinaitis announced that he had re-hired Big Show on Saturday, a day before he interfered at Over the Limit and helped Laurinaitis defeat John Cena. The problem with that is the stipulation was that if anyone working for WWE interfered in the match, they would be fired.

WWE realized the error and had Michael Cole fix it on commentary, stating that Show agreed in principle to help Laurinaitis but didn't actually sign the contract until Monday morning.

They also corrected it on their Twitter:

"It's official! @WWETheBigShow had a verbal agreement with @WWERawGM, but didn't sign a contract until AFTER #OverTheLimit! #OtungaLaw #WWE"

Bob's Opinion: Stupid angle, Big Show is a much better face and Johnny just plain sucks

Vince McMahon Wants Backstage Changes

Vince McMahon has been furious with the WWE.com staff and there's a feeling that heads may roll soon. During the WrestleMania 29 hype several weeks back, Vince met with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and there was nobody from the website present to photograph, film or cover the event.

Speaking of Vince, he now wants more rehearsals at WWE events and wants the writers and producers to communicate more. There were a lot of fingers being pointed at the problems at Extreme Rules including John Cena's promo and Brock Lesnar almost getting hurt as well as the timing issues on RAW.

Bob's Opinion: One person close to the process expects that WWE content will be more rigidly scripted and that Vince is going to have to approve just about everything.

Evan Bourne noted on Twitter that he will be getting the pins removed from his foot in two more weeks. Bourne is still wearing a cast on his arm but was able to do a push-up on Monday for the first time in six weeks.

After tying a 52-week low on Wednesday with $7.77 per share, WWE's stock price saw a significant gain Thursday with the release of the organization's 2012 First Quarter 2012 Earnings Results. The stock price increased to $8.78 per share, up $0.94 from Thursday's closing price of $7.84 per share.

PPV Buyrate Data For Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania 28

The Royal Rumble drew 443,000 buys, down from 446,000 buys in 2011, and 462,000 buys in 2010.

Elimination Chamber did 178,000 buys, down from 199,000 buys in 2011 and 285,000 buys in 2010.

Even though the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber both did fewer buys in 2012 than they did in 2011, revenue was essentially the same due to more viewers ordering the high-definition feeds of the events, which are more expensive and made up the lost revenue.

Bob's Opinion: As for WrestleMania 28's buyrate, the official numbers will not be reported until WWE announces its Second Quarter 2012 results in a few months, but WWE CEO Vince McMahon did say that the buyrate is expected to be "nearly 1.3 million pay-per-view buys globally," indicating the final number might be less than the 1.3 million estimate WWE previously touted.

Bob's Opinion: Perhaps this is Vince's way of courting the Stinger into the WWE? Don't think I would like that to be honest, I believe Vince would just bury him.

Scott Steiner Continues Trashing TNA Executives & Hulk Hogan On Twitter

Scott Steiner, who parted ways with TNA Wrestling last week, posted numerous messages on Twitter Thursday slamming his formerly employer's brain trust, particularly Hulk Hogan. He also alleges that TNA controls Sting's account on the microblogging site.

Our family has been in high gear since the softball and baseball season has begun. We have two different kids in two different directionsfor the next couple of months and every day is a challenge. I spend a lot of time packing up coolers and snacks to keep the car ready for whatever we may need. Having a day off has become a rarity so when we had a rainy Saturday afternoon roll through, we were happy to get the call that all games had been canceled for the day. It was a great opportunity to catch up on some basic rest and relaxation. We ordered a movie fromDirect TV and cozied up in the family room while the rain poured down all afternoon. I made a nice pot of homemade chili and opened the windows to let the fresh air in. It just made everything feel like home. Days like this during this hectic season are special so I make a strong effort to assure we all kick back and catch our breath.

Rumors on Ric Flair Working with WWE Again in the Future

There is a lot of talk going around the wrestling world that Ric Flair will be back with WWE in 2013, especially if the Network gets off the ground since a lot of his footage will be used and he's very popular with the public.

Flair's deal with TNA expires at the end of this year.

Bob's Opinion: Flair did an interview for a Charlotte radio station earlier this week where he claimed his last wrestling match was the retirement match against Shawn Michaels. He also talked highly of Vince McMahon and The Rock.

Getting Some Help

Well folks, my dad has come home from the hospital, but he is still very weak. For those of you that haven’t been following this page so closely I will fill you in; my dad had COPD and was recently hospitalized with pneumonia.

Yes, I am sorry to say, he is a smoker. But this time I am doing everything in my power to change that. For instance I am looking into Blu, electronic cigarettes in order to do just that and help him with his smoking problem.

From everything that I have read, Blu has helped a lot of people give up this nasty addiction and I even have some friends that have had good luck with the electronic cigarette. So wish us luck, and say a prayer for good health

Ultimate Warrior Discusses Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Vince McMaon & Randy Savage

Recently, The Ultimate Warrior was interviewed by Inside The Squared Circle and discussed a plethora of topics. During the discussion, Warrior discussed his feuds with Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash, the passing of Randy Savage and his court battle with Vince McMahon. Here are some of the highlights:

On his feud with Hulk Hogan: "... These guys make it look like it was an absolute flash in the pan and it was a joke. I'm not the one that keeps bringing it up and all these other guys do. Everytime Hogan gets an interview, the guy interviewing him brings it up. I just find it weirdly ironic that for years everybody has talked about how much of a basketcase I am and how self-destructive I am and what a loser's life I lead, but nobody has one bit of proof. Nobody has provided one single bit of proof. Nothing. Not even a traffic ticket. Yet, here you have on display a whole year's worth of self-destructive life behavior (from Hogan).

"... People talk about the thing that's going on between me and Hogan like we're both equals in it. We're not equals. I've gotten on with my life and made my life work in a positive, inspiring way and there's nobody that's been able to prove otherwise. What I'd like to see, really, is somebody who has a forum -- like yourself or the other guys and I never see this: When Hogan gets on there and is spouting that stuff about me and my life, about how I'm a crazy lunatic and I don't have a life and he and his Christian brotherhood are sitting there and praying for me, my family and my daughters and stuff. I'd like somebody to push his buttons and say, 'What do you mean, Terry? What kind of proof do you have? Where is this proof and evidence you have that Warrior is living his life in a self-destructive and non-meaningful way?'

"I think when you grow up -- and this is a simple thing that I've said numerous times -- you should think and act like one. ... The adults aren't acting like adults. When Hulk goes out there and Terry behaves the way that he has in his life, I don't see anything positive about it. But just for the sake of making sure that you don't say anything bad about Hogan and you don't push his buttons, everybody that's got something to do with the wrestling business, from people that actually worked in the WWE or TNA or interviewers such as yourself -- nobody ever challenges him a little on what the hell he means.

On gaining the intellectual property for the Warrior character when he battled Vince McMahon in court: "I own my life. I get to do what I want when I want. I'm still very productive in my life and I'm still as successful in my life doing other stuff as I was in the wrestling business. Years ago when I fought with Vince in the courts about my intellectual properties -- the logos, the brand, the intellectual properties of the Ultimate Warrior, everybody thought I was crazy. I mean, that's provided me a great, wonderful living.

On his feud with Kevin Nash and Hogan/Savage: "Somebody had wrote me a Tweet and asked me why I didn't dye my hair like Kevin and go back to wrestling. I told him, 'Because I'm not a d-head -- a p---s head -- and I don't have any interest in stealing the limelight from other guys. So, he responded and made some silly MMA comments or something like that. ... Look, my comments on any of these guys at all -- when I sat down and did the long video on Hogan after Randy (Savage) passed -- I was prompted to do that by all the years of sitting back and listening to the B.S. they were spreading.

"Hogan's first response after Randy died was that he was sad because he and Randy had just recently reconnected after ten years. I found out from very, very, very close reliable sources that that wasn't true and I just thought that I wanted to say something. I talked about what I remembered of Randy and what a great guy he was. He's another guy that was sort of an outcast and nobody really knows the true reason, I guess. But, he was a stand up guy."

Bob's Opinion: I really find myself believing alot of what the Warrior says, because it's true, no one will challenge Hogan when he speaks out like he does

WWE has reportedly re-signed Matt Bloom, currently working for New Japan Pro Wrestling as Giant Bernard. He has formerly wrestled for WWE as Prince Albert and A-Train.

Bloom is currently scheduled to return to WWE after WrestleMania 28 is over.

Bloom will reportedly be the new henchman for John Laurinaitis

Bob's opinion: Despite having to compete with NCAA Tournament games, TNA didn't see much of a change in this week's rating for Impact. The 3/15 episode scored a 1.03 rating, down from the 1.04 that last week's episode received.

The first hour drew a 1.05, while the second hour saw a dip to 1.02, but the big news comes in the form of the quarter-hour ratings. The fifth quarter-hour, generally one of Impact's biggest drawing spots, only pulled in a 0.99 rating. It marked the first time in 63 weeks that the fifth quarter-hour rating for Impact fell below the 1.0 mark.

Update on Evan Bourne's Future with WWE, Possible WrestleMania 28 Roles

There is a lot of talk within WWE that Evan Bourne may return to feud with Jack Swagger for the United States Title once WrestleMania 28 is over. Bourne is also under consideration for one of the spots on Team Long for the big multi-man match at WrestleMania.

However, officials are considering leaving Bourne off WrestleMania altogether as a form of punishment for his repeated Wellness failures over the past few months.

When pushing Bourne is brought up, the argument is there that he could be fired from the company if he fails another test. WWE official are always hesitant to push talents who have failed more than one test.

Rey Mysterio may end up with the final spot on Team Long for the big multi-man match at WrestleMania 28.

WWE officials have also been considering Evan Bourne for the spot.

There was talk of making the Team Long vs. Team Laurinaitis match an Elimination Match but that would take up too much time.

Steve Austin Discusses Talents Problems with The Rock, Returning & More

WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin was interviewed by The LAW this past week about his new movie Recoil. Talent Having Problems with The Rock returning: "My thoughts on that are, you earn what you get in this business. Rock has earned the ability to come and go as he wants, because the business still needs him, it can still use him, and it can elevate the profile with having such a mainstream guy there. I don't know about the promos between John (Cena) and Rock. I think some of them have gotten kind of personal, you wonder how much of it's a work and how much of it's a shoot. At the end of the day, it's a worked business. Again, I think it's a good thing for Rock to be involved with this. He's earned his right to come and go and do whatever he wants."

Current talent being vocal to creative: "(CM) Punk was a guy, and is a guy who, man, that guy flew by the seat of his pants. He was pissed off, he vented, he cuts great promos. He worked himself out of a bad situation into a great situation. He knew when it was time to pick his spot, when he contract was gonna be up. That guy's been around the horn a few times, and he's been kicked around a little bit. He saw how the other guys were being treated, and he needed, and deserved, and earned the right to be treated in that same fashion. Guys, you gotta pick your spot, but you gotta be vocal. It is a very interesting machine these days. They need voices to question them. They need voices to inspire them, or fuel them, to rethink some of the things that they're doing and make it a better product."

Returning under the right circumstances: "There's nothing up in the air for me. If there's something that presents itself as a business opportunity, then I have an open ear to listen to it. It would have to be right for myself, my opponent, and obviously the company. I'm not lobbying for another match. There's always talk. People ask, 'am I capable of having another match?' Yeah. If I was in a bad situation, I would get back in the ring full time if I had to, but I don't have to. I'm happy doing what I'm doing."

Bob's Opinion: Taker will be there to confront Shawn Michaels after it was announced that Shawn will special referee the Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 28.

After tonight's WWE RAW Supershow in Boston, John Cena cut a promo about his younger brother recovering from having cancer surgery. Cena said he was so happy that he was going to drink Jack Daniels and eat some Kung Pao Chicken. The moment was described as a real feel good moment and the hometown crowd popped big.

Bob's Opinion: Cena has been dealing with his brother's health privately over the past few months.

During tonight's RAW Supershow from Boston, Shawn Michaels was officially announced as the guest referee for The Undertaker vs. Triple H in a Hell in a Cell match at Wrestlemania 28.

Also on tonight's show, Santino Marella defeated Jack Swagger to become the new WWE United States Champion.

Bob's Opinion: A better then average RAW, although the average RAW hasn't been all that good lately
