Panel discussions all day including the history of Oak Street, New Orleans breweries, first families of the poor boy and much more!

THE PARTY
Celebrate our culinary history New Orleans style – by throwing down in the streets with friends and neighbors! Our motto is: “No hungry stomach, no thirsty mouth.”

It was announced at the Po-boy festival press conference on October 20, 2011, that the MRPO was officially adopting Oak Street as an on going community project. The proceeds from the festival will go to mounting security cameras in each block from Carrollton to River Road. MRPO will replace broken benches, trash receptacles, and trees when necessary and will keep the street clean and in a good state of repair. Part of the the proceeds will go to the quarterly advertising of all of Oak Street as a shopping destination. MRPO is expecting the festival to be profitable starting this year and the adoption program will start as soon as all of the festival expenses are paid for. There are more projects on the board that are of interest to the MRPO but this list has come from a consensus of the Board Members as a good place to start. - Ralph Driscoll/President OSMRPO
