Just a quick update for you users that have updated to Windows 8 but are using a keyboard and mouse and wish you had the start menu you have been using since 95. Well there is a solution and its free! This one is the best I have found so far. *** Make sure you uncheck the ad at the end (it's how they pay for their software but you will likely end up with a toolbar of some sort).

How to pick a Tablet computer

there are many choices arriving in the first part of 2011. I See many uses for the tablets but picking the right one with the best features and least incompatibilities I think would be the two things to look for.

Why the IPad isn't the right choice for most...

Heard of flash (by Adobe) - IPad is not compatible and flash is a very big part of the internet.
Not a good competitor of the Kindle. If you're really going to read a book on your tablet look further into the Kindle.
No Webcam / Video recorder! You'd think they would have at least built in features a phone has.
Lack of compatibility
The Price $$$

Although I am fond of the Android phone I'm not sold on the tablet. Same OS / Same limits at a larger size. Smaller than the IPad but the resolution is a little better. Battery life not as good but

in trade it is faster.

Okay so I've slammed the IPad and Android. Here are some other choices...

The two I am most fond of are the HP Tablet that seems to have many more features and the Dell Inspiron Duo Transforming from Netbook to Tablet.

My advice is wait another 6 months. If you are trigger happy I'd look to make sure you have all the features you will need. As a computer user that likes to have a full featured computer I would highly recommend looking into the Dell tablet options. Here are a couple of the options...

New and Improved version of Avast Free Antivirus

Avast has been making some changes. Their website, icon, and program interface has had a complete overhaul and for the better. For home users the free version is a perfect choice for you. You can get the latest version now from www.Download.com

The Interface was one of the best updates for their application. Rather than the hard to use CD player interface you now have a very functional user area. Remember for home use that they still will bug you to buy the pro version but you can register your email address on their site to receive a code to continue for free for about another 12 months. Even though Microsoft put out a completely free antivirus I would still recommend Avast over MSE.

So Kudos to Avast, keep up the good work!
