Shannon and Shayne love their Rusty boards

Shannon and I are addicted to Rusty surfboards. With not a drop of hype, I can honestly say there is something remarkable about a Rusty stick. It's like a Mac versus a PC, or a Benz compared to a Daewoo- they just remarkably crafted, slick, finely tuned, and amazing underfoot. We've got 5'8" quads to 8'6" guns and most everything in between and I can't find a dog of a board in the bunch. We're blessed to ride these boards and you'll be seeing them in all the new On Surfari episodes.

Like the new intro for On Surfari? Shannon did all the artwork for it and an amazing animator by the name of Garrett Marks put the motion on it. Of course Chad Farran did the tune- all fine talents that came together and made a cool 30 second spot. Here's a clip of it if you haven't seen it.

Shannon, the kids, and I were blessed to work with Bugaboo strollers- and boy we need em' with 2 kids now. We worked with them to create some fun web videos here in Puerto Rico and Nicaragua that we'll post on our website soon.

Since Elementary school when Shayne used to doodle himself ripping on Rusty surfboards - Shayne has always wanted to ride for Rusty. "They're the most finely tuned boards I've ever rode. There's something about the rail, the outline, the feel under the arm- they're different, they're perfect." says Shayne, a one-time shaper himself. 25 years later, Shayne, along with Shannon- finally had their dream come true and are riding Rusty boards exclusively. "Thanks to Chris, Zach, & everyone at Rusty for supporting us and believing in what we do."

Shayne and Shannon picked up 3 beauties shaped by legend John Belik from Maui. He is regarded as one of the pioneers of the "fish" shape and you know Shannon and Shayne are all about that - might as well ride the best. The boards are unreal and will be put to the test for 40 days in Indo taking them into some big surf. Check out shimbawa.com to learn more about this amazing guy and his shred sticks.
