Hi! Richard Breaks here, Oozak Design Team Member for June-September! So excited to be here with you, to share some inspiration and have some fun!

So- New things here at the Oozak.com Blog-- MORE CHALLENGES! That's right! Instead of one challenge a month, we're kicking it up to TWO challenges! More chances to get creative, and to get new and different ideas. We're looking forward to it.

Today I am sharing my card for the Blues, Stars and Stripes Challenge.

I made this--

I went with an American theme, but I switched up the usual colors with some "cousins" of the originals. The reds have just a touch of orange, the blues are navy to blue-greenish (and way patterned!), but there's no denying this is a slice of Americana. Well, "modern" Americana, I guess you could say. I think this card would be perfect for the service person in your life. We sure can't say thank you to them enough!

Oozak carries the designer papers that I used here, as well as the Distress Ink, and the Versamark ink I used when doing my embossing. Oh, yes, and don't forget the Scor-Buddy. I DO NOT fold a card base without using mine, evah. Truth.

Hi everyone. My name is Steph and I have been a crafter for as long as I can remember. I've watched (and participated in) the evolution of this craft from rubber cement and construction paper to all the lovely stuff that has become available over the years. Good morning all, it's Emma here with another card for our April challenge -

I chose a super girly image, some sweet Echo Park paper and of course my trusty Copics for this card. It was fun to play with some different colours for her hair, I think next time I'm going to try some purples!

Hey everyone, Samantha here! I am very excited to share my first project as an Oozak design team member. The challenge for April is Anything Goes w/Pearls, Lace and Ribbon. These embellishments are so much fun to work with, because they can add texture and dimension to your project.

I love creating scenes that tell a story. This down on the farm scene was created using Lawn Fawn stamps. My stamped images are colored with Copic markers, and then cut out with my craft knife. Adhesive foam dots were used to add dimension. This challenge was so much fun to do, please be sure to join us for this month's challenge!

Happy 15th! This is Cath and I'm so excited to share this month's Oozak challenge - Spring!!! It's perfect timing too as the weather is starting to break in my neck of the woods. Spring means flowers and pastel colors so I decided to use my new October Afternoon Cakewalk design paper as it's filled with both and I accented with some hand cut paper flowers too. I stamped a cute Magnolia image and insterted Spring in her banner. Of course I colored with my copics but I also added a bit of shading with prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol.

My name is Tammy Werner and I am so excited and honored to be this week’s mixed media guest designer for the Oozak Challenge Anything Goes Your Favorite Colors. I am ready for spring and desperately want to chase away those winter blues (literally) so I chose my favorite color combination blue and brown.

I have been scrapbooking for approximately 17 years and my style has evolved tremendously. I have been creating cards regularly only for the last few years. I have found while on my card making journey, I almost always try to incorporate some type of distressing technique in my cards. I just discovered Copic Markers about 6 months ago and I am totally addicted! I love the outdoors and many of my designs are inspired by elements of nature.

Here’s my take on this month’s challenge:

Anything Goes Challenge with your Favorite Color

Happy February 15th folks. This is Cath Groden and today I have the pleasure of sponsoring the DT post. The Oozak challenge this month is Anything Goes with your favorite color. I have to admitt that I have lots of color combinations I enjoy working with but my favorite is Pink and Black. So for today's card I set about to find paper and an image that would fit that color combo.

I started with a Saturated Canary image. This is called Hugs and Kisses and isn't currently in the Oozak shop but there are plenty of images by Krista Smith that are. I colored the image with a combination of copics and prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol. I added surround shading with the image panel in the Nestie die using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tattered Rose. To add some pop to the hearts I coated them with Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects and to the hair ties I couldn't resist some Ranger Stickles Worn Lipstick.

Some Odd Girl Nouveau Girls Wishes Card

Good morning everyone. It's Cabio here and today is my turn to share my DT card with you for the February Oozak's challenge. As you see our earlier post, this challenge is an easy 'Anything Goes' with your favorite colors. Well, to be honest with you, my favorite color is pink, but since I already did a pink card last month, I wanted to do a different color, so I pick 'red', but then added a little pink flower so my favorite color is still on this card.

Coming back to my card today, I got some new Spellbinder dies from Oozak earlier, so I couldn't help it but try it of course. See the white diamond background? It's from the Fancy Lattice die from the Shapeabilities. For the top borders and the heart shape, I used some Martha Stewart punches. The stamp I picked for my card is Nouveau Girls Wishes from Some Odd Girl. You can scroll down to the bottom of this post for the complete list of material on this card.

Please welcome our Mixed Media Guest Designer this week Jo Ham: I have been a crafter ever since I can remember. I received arts and craft kits for Christmas gifts as a child and the love at that has just carried through to my adult years. Since 1994 I have been rubber stamping. It all started with someone giving me a thank you card that they made using a single rubber stamp on. If you have seen my blog with the pictures of my stamp area you can see I have more than enough stamps but that doesn’t stop me. I started coloring with marvy and tombow markers. I then found Prisma colored pencils and gamsol. For many years that was my favorite coloring medium. In October of 2010 I started with Copics and took a class with Suzanne when she came to town. I have been working and practicing with them ever since. I love using my Copics. I don’t limit myself to just “Rubber” stamps I have a nice collection of digi stamps as well. At one time we had two stamp stores here in our state both have since closed. I use to teach at both of them. I really did enjoy it. I love to show people new things to create in the world of stamping. I now work with Colleen Holmes on her Through the Craft Room Door Magazine.
