1) Pirate ships.  All week I noticed a pirate ship go up an down the coast, so when Julie expressed interest in doing a day after shoot I put the wheels in motion and contacted the company and convinced them to let us on board.

2) Taking the plunge.  Unfortunate they didn’t have a plank to walk, but they did make quite the splash.

3) Crystal clear blue waters…..ahhh so refreshing

* Some might say the first aid kit is a little too prevalent on the first shot,  but Julie is a nurse, so I thought it was pretty funny

1) Fun in the sun! I had never been to the Dominican Republic, and it’s true what they say, the beaches are beautiful.

2) Julie’s anthem seemed to be “this girl is on fire” and it’s true, the girl has moves!

3) Dance party! Love the coloured dance floor and all the shenanigans on it!

1) Climbing, amazing scenery, camping, great food and new friends.

2) Bend, Oregon. I visited Bend on a ski trip in 1999 and have always wanted to go back. I can now add it to my list of happy places as I have a rule you have to return to a place before you can officially name it a happy place. Skiing, climbing, mt biking, amazing coffee shops and 14 microbreweries , how could that not bring happiness. Thank you to Troy at Crow’s feet Commons for fixing my bike, hopefully we will see you in Squamish this summer!

3) Wrapped up the trip with a mountain bike ride near Mt Hood with the Cumberland Crew. Sorry no pics, was too busy riding. Next time

1) Change of plans – I had originally planned on photographing Delaney & Ryan’s wedding in Calgary this summer, so when they had decided to change the wedding to Hawaii, how could I resist.

2) Old Hotels – The Royal Hawaiian opened on Feb 1, 1927, I would have loved to see it back in the day. The hotel has a ton of great places to photograph, I wish we had more time.

3) The cutest best man ever! Thank you Max for being a great sport.

1) VW Vans – We rented a VW Van and named it “The Can.” It was great, we always had our stuff and could sleep on the beach. We came across the Bounty Hunters house and thought we might ask him if we could crash in his drive way but thought twice.

2) Beautiful beaches and surf on the North Shore.

3) Fresh fruit, garlic shimp and ahi tuna fish tacos….yum.

1) I love to travel so when Treena & Steve asked if I would photograph their wedding in Mexico, I was all over it.

1) Chinese Tea Ceremony – We started the day at Tracy’s parents house with a Chinese Tea Ceremony. I don’t think Jay and his groomsmen knew what they were getting into, I think they should start a boy band.

2) Uniquities Architectural Antiques – I was looking for an indoor location for the photos because it was such a cold day and a friend recommended checking out Uniquites. What a find, so amazing! Turns out Jay & Tracy thought so too, as they had inquired about having their actual ceremony there. I Love it when things all come together A big thank you to Uniquities for letting us take over and keep warm.

3) River Park Cafe – I love this place, especially on a very cold Winter’s night.

1) Another cold cold day for a shoot, but Jelena and Kevin were amazing and embraced the cold. Good thing they had each other to keep warm.
