Using 3D Animation in Property

Online video is getting bigger and bigger.

No doubt about it.

You can't move for blog posts about the impact it is having on search, social media and most importantly of all, the impact it's having on pockets!

That's right, if you still haven't seen the news on this, online video is making people money.

YouTube is getting more and more interactive with on video buttons that you can click, (see the top right of our showreel for an example:

Recently, myself and my wife found ourselves in need of accommodation in rome. I looked on some cheap hotel sites, and nothing grabbed me. The descriptions sounded bland and the photos looked like they had been taken as an after thought on the owners phone with the thought 'that'll do' coming straight after it.

So potentially, quality hotels missed out on my business. One site though, had actual walk through videos showing you everything. Fantastic! I could see clearly the size of the room and what I would be getting for my money. I put in my details and within two minutes I had booked and they had my money. Room was fantastic and I had no feelings of unease when arriving.

The point is, because I could see it, they got a conversion.

Job done.

So why not the same in property. When people are looking for flats online, photos are nice, but can be deceiving or just not do the property justice.

There are two avenues that you could go down here.

One is a video for YouTube:

An "on rails" (non interactive video) that shows the property in all it's glory.
YouTube video actually help improve Google search so your properties will be found above your competitors (= ROI).

Or you could go into interactive territory:

Build an interactive 3D version of your property using software such as Unity 3D. This enables potential clients/tenants to view the property online, and feel more comfortable about calling and setting up a viewing.
Again this will yield a fantastic ROI.

You have to download the unity player, but soon with the advent of HTML5 downloading 3rd party players is rumoured to be a thing of the past.

To sum up, a picture paints a thousands words. So how many words does a video playing at 25fps paint?

Hello People,

well, its been a busy few weeks, what with getting back from italy and having a lot to do and not much time to do it.

But, everything has ended well, and that gave me some much needed time to get onto matters to do with us. I.e. getting our showreel up on YouTube.

I was very keen to do this as video is the new black don't you know?

Everyone from Old Spice to Tippex is getting on board and they are all genius campaigns too. I have to say that Tippex gets the winning vote from me.

I'm going to be working on some more videos over the coming weeks to try and tap into the whole youtube marketing and search angle. Something I am very interested in.
