Polymer clay offers a fun and approachable way to create unique and striking mosaic
art. In this demo, Cindy will show you tips and techniques on how to make a multi-media mosaic wall panel using imprinted polymer clay, mica powders, acrylic paint, old jewelry, charms, and beads.

Cindy Mersky graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in Visual Communications and then continued her academic studies at the University of Toronto,
where she earned a B.Sc. in Art as Applied to Medicine. She is an active member of the
Federation of Canadian Artists and an elected member of the Society of Canadian
Artists. Cindy now paints and creates mosaic art full-time from her Nanoose Bay studio.

Join Bonnie as she starts a collage on watercolour paper, then flushes out the concept with cut and torn papers applied with acrylic medium. Bonnie will convey how media, poetry, music, conversation, fact and fiction influence her mixed media work. She will also demonstrate how a single image can create a whole set of works in mixed media.

For 12 years Bonnie was on the board for Oak Bay High Community Theatre Society where she mentored students in set painting and design. Bonnie believes art is about relationship: relationship both negative and positive to the world, ourselves and to the space inhabited. Presently she is on the board of the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival working as a Sponsor Representative.

Artist Brandy Masch will discuss and demonstrate the process she goes through in creating her works. Talking about the materials she uses, the process she follows and some exploratory practices she uses to overcome artist block and build more imaginative works of art. She wants to get people inspired and not to be afraid of playing with ideas and experimenting with materials and mediums, using different materials and tools.

Brandy Masch is a painter and illustrator from Vancouver who recently moved to Kelowna British Columbia. She graduated from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, where she received her BFA. Her inspirations come from animals, the environment, and man-made objects, all which help her to create whimsical worlds.
