Jessica and Hunter are totally OJ&B's BFFs from L.A!. If you have not heard of them by now then you need to reevaluate your life and ask yourself how you have lived this long without quoting Jessica and Hunter. When their signature catchphrases like "Amazeballs" are not being stolen by infamous bloggers or super skinny hosts on E! News, J&H are busy waking up in alleys, sneaking into Tia and Tamera's after after after party, harassing Starbucks employees for refusing to put alcohol in their "wackachinos" and trying to get the best seat for brunch at Pinkberry.

Jessica and Hunter have been America's YouTube sweethearts (by that I mean America's fave hot messes) way before Amanda Bynes was bat poo cray cray yet right around the time Lohan started her Lindsanity tour. They have filled my heart with laughter and my liver with cosmojitos all at the same time.

Now the infamous duo is looking to create season 2 of their hilarious YouTube skits but they need your help! Apparently they cannot keep paying their "worker people" in drink tickets and punch cards from Jamba Juice. Last nights' Billboard Music awards gave the Twitter and Blogosphere so much to talk about! From Miguel taking two girls out with his leg as he leaped above the audience to Taylor Swift making disapproving faces as Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber connected back stage, there was tons of stuff going on. All of the craziness did not distract me however from the fashion of the evening. The one metal that was definitely a huge trend of the night was GOLD! Take a look.

Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere (I heart her) looks elegant as ever in her floor length Halston Heritage halter gown paired with David Yurman Starburst yellow gold and diamond earrings and yellow gold and diamond Crossover Bracelet. She completed her look with a matching gold clutch.

Miley Cyrus

Miley was just being Miley as she stepped onto the blue carpet in this beyond amazing Balmain jumpsuit. They 'Party in the USA' singer made a big announcement about her new single called 'We Can't Stop' dropping on June 3rd but that is not the only thing that was buzzing about Miley last night. Cyrus wore her gorgeous 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring handcrafted in 18-karat gold from jeweler to the stars Neil Lane even amidst rumors that her and her actor fiance Liam Hemsworth are on the outs.

Miley matched her amazing 18K gold Neil Lane engagement ring with a glittery gold manicure which worked perfect for last night's carpet.

Selena Gomez

Another OJ&B fave that rocked the BBMA's with gold Neil Lane jewelry is Selena Gomez. "Selener" as I like to call her, was everything in her Atelier Versace gown from the Spring 2013 collection. The dress looked perfect paired with her yellow gold rings and yellow gold studs from Neil Lane. The songstress had a moment on stage when she performed one of my summer jams 'Come & Get It" in an all gold dress with gold cuffs on each arm. Her back up dancers were also decked out in gold. After the performance Gomez changed into a long black gown that she accessories with yellow gold and diamond earrings from Neil Lane.

Selena continued her gold love fest ending with her final look of the evening accessorised with yellow gold and diamond Neil Lane earrings.

Justin Bieber

Speaking of Selena, her on and off again boo, Justin also sported gold last night. The female fan favorite wore a large yellow gold necklace and matching yellow gold bracelet as he accepted his Billboard Music Award for fan-voted milestone award. He was also seen wearing his yellow gold chain during his two performances and as he accepted awards for top male artist and social artist.

Other guys that wore gold last night were Miguel and Bruno Mars. Mars opened up the show with an amazing performance and his band was also decked out in yellow gold accessories. Bruno's stage was decked out in gold colored lights and towards the end of his performance gold confetti exploded into the audience while all of the disco balls reflected gold light.

I think it is safe to say that gold had an amazing night last night and that the hottest singers out right now are obsessed with it!

The latest singing sensation Miguel wears a yellow gold necklace with his suite and dress shirt (you know I love this look)!

Bruno Mars

Bruno wears some of his favorite yellow gold accessories to open up last night's show. His band was also gilded in gold as they set the standard for the night!

Selena Gomez Gives Subtle Shoutout To Texas In Her Latest Video 'Come & Get It'

There is no hiding the fact that I love me some Selena Gomez! I think that everything she had done career wise has been so classy and smart so far (I am up in the air about her and Bieber as she is way to good for him and needs to stop doing him favors).

Right now she is in that "I'm not a girl, not yet a woman" phase in her life and I think she is doing the transition really well! She was in a risque movie, 'Spring Breakers," but chose the least slutty role and in this new video she is being sexy without being raunchy or trashy. Yes, you can actually do that; you can convey sexy without all your what nots and whoosey whatsits hanging out.

The thing I love most about the video is that she gives a subtle nod to her native Texas by dancing around and writhing in a field of Bluebonnets which happen to be the Texas state flower. I love that she is a proud Hispanic and I love that she loves Texas (I'm from their too y'all)! The only thing I like more than her choosing Bluebonnets is when she payed tribute to Selena by singing Bidi Bidi Bom Bom at the San Antonio Rodeo in 2010 (Check it out by clicking here).

On May 6, 2013 the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City held their annual Costume Institute Gala hosted by Vogue. This event has been an annual affair at the Met since 1948 and is considered to be fashion's "night of nights." It is probably the biggest social event in the New York City social calendar as only the cream of the crop are invited to attend.

For me it is a dream come true as the night is a mix of celebrities (my fave) and fashion (my second fave). Everyone has their eye on what people are wearing and OJ&B is no exception. This year's theme, "Punk: Chaos to Couture," proved to cause more outfit chaos than ever. So many people had no idea what to wear and boy did it show!

Enough with the small talk... let's get down to who WORKED HER DRESS AND WHO LOOKED A MESS!

Worked Her Dress:

Anne Hathaway

I have to give it to Anne Hathaway. She finally stopped dressing like a hot ass mess and looked perfect for the theme of the night! As you all may know she annoys me like no other and I am not a Hathaway fan but I am also not a hater! When someone looks amazing I always give them props! This is why it annoys me when people disagree with my opinion and try to call me a hater. I don't hate, I truth! If you look like a trashy mess I will let you know but when it's right... IT'S RIGHT!

Coco Rocha

Coco looks great because it really looks like she is doing punk her way and in what she feels comfortable wearing. She knows how to work and sell a look.

Anja Rubik

This outfit is beyond perfect for a black tie punk gala. The pop of red is perfect and the funky cut and sleeves with the detailing at the bottom just makes this outfit a total win for this night. Now people, it is all about the right outfit for the right occasion. Keep in mind some of these outfits would not have worked for another event or night.

Donatella Versace

Donatella worked the hell out of this! It is a perfect marriage of punk and couture!

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale

Leave it to Gwen to always know how to come with her A game. This dress is so right, so good and so Gwen! Sure it kind of looks like a tied up trash bag but it works for the Punk theme. I am glad that Gavin wore something with pattern and muted color. The guys that wore traditional tuxes were the worst.

Miley Cyrus

Miley "Destiny Hope" Cyrus looked amazing in this dress! The hair was crazy but it was very punk. I think should should have just worn here hair how she wears it every day (it looks very edgy) and let the dress speak for itself!

Julie Macklowe

It's fun, it's loud it's abrasive, it's punk! I love her look for this event.

Madonna

I mean you really cannot eff with Madge! She looks like punk perfection and she has the attitude to sell everything about this look! I also love that she was the ultimate diva and was the very last celeb to walk the red carpet! MADONNA FOREVES Y'ALL! (P.S. My friend Krissy said that she looked like a beginner tranny that had a free shopping spree to Hot Topic, I don't agree but it was too funny not to mention)!

AND MY CHOICE FOR BEST DRESSED IS...

Sarah Jessica Parker

Come on now it is SJP! She knows how to shut it down and make an entrance. I loved her custom made Philip Treacy hat and how it resembled a mohawk. A ton of people said they hated it but it is the COSTUME GALA and the theme was PUNK. To me punk is about doing your own thing and the boots and the dress and the head piece was perfection. I would want to rock that head piece if I had gone!

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian (Kimye)

First of all, Kanye looked OK but he looked a mess because he literally was looking into every camera that was around him and posing for his life. No matter what Kim was doing Kanye was just giving face for days. What is that all about? Then there is Kim... GUUUUUURRRL! This is not 100% your fault other than you approved it (and wore it) but what was the designer and the stylist thinking? Also, didn't you have a private meeting with Anna Wintour the night before? Doesn't she approve most of the big celebs outfits? Anna WTF happened? Y'all must have been smoking something strong for everyone in the room to be like "YAAAS! Kim this dress is EVERYTHNG!" Poor KIM!

Anna Wintour

There is nothing wrong with this dress but it is not right for the Punk themed Met Ball. I wanted to see Anna step out of the box and wear something with spikes or put some streaks in her hair. If the host does not dress to the theme, how the hell is anyone else suppose to be expected to? Can I get an Amen, up in here? I guess she wanted to match Kim K.

Heidi Klum

Hedi I love you like a love song but this dress is all wrong! And is that a two piece? I guess she figured it look like it was from 1998 so she would be alright.

Bee Shaffer

Hailee Stienfeld

These girls said that they were going to the met gala in a classic gown and they don't care what the theme is! Bee's dress looks great but it is not right for the Punk theme. It is also too plan for the Met Ball in general. Hailee thinks that Avril Lavigne is punk so that explains this really bad dress. Not only is it not punk, the length is bad and it is way too old for her. I thinks she walked into the wrong party and was suppose to be at a debutante ball across the street.

Karolina Kurkova

Oh no, Kaolina the theme was Punk not street walker. There is a difference Boo! I cannot stand short cocktail length dresses at a formal event.

LaLa Anthony

Remember that debutante ball across the street? I think LaLa Anthony was booked as the lobby lounge singer. This dress would have been OK for another event but how is this punk and how is this met ball worthy? Where is her purse in the shape of a tip bucket?

Jessica Alba

Oh Jessica "don't call me Latina" Alba. Yes this dress is made with leather but that does not make it punk just like you saying you are not Latina does not make you a white girl. More like MESSica Alba!

Ashley Olsen

Well maybe on someone else this would have been awful but it is one of the O Twins so of course I LOVE IT! She isn't on the "Looked a mess" list so much as I wanted to end this post with her outfit.

Vogue's International Editor at Large Hamish Bowles arrives to the 2013 Met Gala with Sarah Jessica Parker wearing a custom look styled and created by David Thomas.

The 2013 Met Gala's "Punk" theme made it difficult for a lot of attendees to pick out something to wear. Many people were confused on how to dress and what would look good for the occasion. This was not a problem however for Vogue's International Editor at Large Hamish Bowles and his date Sarah Jessica Parker.

The dynamic duo tuned heads at the gala and looked perfect for the night. Hamish was honestly the best dressed man of the evening fitting the theme perfectly thanks to his stylist and friend David Thomas (Dave is also a friend of OJ&B)! I am very excited to share with you the details behind Hamish's amazing outfit with exclusive photos from David Thomas and information via LoveGold!

Jennifer Lawrence, SJP and Hamish Bowles having a glam moment at the 2013 Met Gala

Stylist and Jewelry Designer David Thomas created an entire look for Hamish Bowles to the Met Gala on May 6th 2013. Taking 5 weeks from concept to completion this specially commissioned piece by "Gentleman - David Thomas xJBH" is worth $250,000.00! The outfit is comprised of 100 pieces of white gold and white diamonds and emeralds made especially for this project in the Jason of Beverly Hills factory in downtown LA.

The 100 pieces are made up as follows:

1 pair of white gold and emerald cufflinks
1 set of white gold and emerald shirt studs
30 small safety pins in white gold and diamonds
20 medium safety pins in white gold and diamonds
14 medium safety pins with chain in white gold and emeralds
30 large safety pins in white gold and diamonds
2 kilt pins in white gold and emeralds
2 fleur de lys pins in white gold and diamonds

The gold, diamond and emerald jewelry was pinned onto grosgrain lapels that were then hand stitched on to the Jacket. To complete the look, LA based designer Ashton Michael was commissioned to make a custom pair of bondage tuxedo pants and Southern California based shoe designer, George Esquivel (a 2009 Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund nominee) was commissioned to make a custom pair of black patent leather brothel creepers with grosgrain laces.

Congratulations to Dave on making a truly amazing piece that captured the essence of the 2013 Met Gala's "Punk" theme. I can't believe most men wore basic tuxedos to this event when it was their chance to have fun and be punk. If I had gone I would have definitely wanted to wear this outfit and take SJP as my date! I think this will go down as one of my favorite fashion moments of all time!

Rihanna A.K.A RiRi may have her long hair back circa 'Pon de Replay' but her attitude from back in the day is not back at all. When I saw this photo all I could think on if "OH EM GEE, RiRi is having NONE of this little white girl." I also thought, "OOOO RiRi, you can't go around side eyeing little white girls like that a basketball games!" Maybe she was trying to teach her how do be the ultimate diva at a young age?

Am I the only one that misses back in the day RiRi when she was sweet, on "Bring It On: All or Nothing," not making it rain on strippers and not acting fast and furious and mean mugging children? I wonder if her publicist put her up to this. Love you RiRi but GURRRRL....

The stars came out on May first for the much anticipated premiere of Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby. The movie's leading lady Carey Mulligan stepped onto the carpet in simple red Lanvin dress. Did she work her dress or look a mess? The results are in and Carey...

LOOKED A MESS!!!

Gurl, this is the Great Gatsby directed by Baz Luhrmann. Not only does the era of Gatsby call for opulence and excess, the director also loves to show this in his movies. This movie was suppose to come out during the holiday season and was postponed until now making it a much anticipated film. When you are the leading lady in a movie like this with a moment and build up that only comes around once every other Lohan rehab stint, I need you GIVE ME GATSBY REALNESS AND TWERK!

Carey could have gone to any designer and wore something opulent for this premiere but she chose to go boring. This was a chance for a fashion moment and she messed it up by going too simple. To me this dress is very luncheon and something you would wear to announce a new product at a press preview. I also am not a huge fan of strapless and the length is too old for her. The shoes look like a character shoe that went to Vegas to become a showgirl but ended up stripping on the main stage.

The only thing right about this look for this moment is the color. It is an amazing shade of red but she should have picked a killer gown. I am thinking something McQueen would have been perfect for this premiere.

Lindsay Lohan Packs For Rehab with 270 Looks

When a court orders you to go to rehab for 90 days, the first thing you think of is "What am I going to wear, y'all?" Well, you do when you are Living La Vida Lohan! Lindsanity pleaded no contest to lying to police and reckless driving via the charges stemmed from a June 2012 car crash in Santa Monica, California. As part of her plea deal, the Mean Girls actress was sentenced to a spend 90 days in a locked-down rehab facility. The caption to the above photo was "90 days and 270 looks."

To be fair, 90 days is a long time. I mean you have to do a breakfast look, a lunch look, a dinner look, a game time look, a check in look, a check out look... Also don't forget all of the rehab street style photos that you have to post on instagram. (#Rehab, #Rehabstyle #ROOTD, #Lihab, #Day15, #SS13) And what if Bill Cunningham bikes by? Let's be real, all the programs I am guessing you have to do while in rehab leave you no time to pull options for an editorial photo shoot that might happen. For all you know a photographer could also be in rehab at the same time and a girl has to be prepared!

OJ&B contacted the rehab facility and received a copy of the dress code. It goes as follows:

You can't wear a tank top two days in a row.

You can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week (So I guess you picked today).

Only wear jeans or track pants on Fridays

On Wednesdays we wear pink

Now, if Lilo break any of these rules, she gets kicked out and can't sit with the plastics at lunch.

So as you can see, there is a lot of pressure for a gal to look good during her rehab stint. You don't wanna look all Messica Alba!

Behind The Scenes Of 'Fragile' With Madeline Fuhrman And LoveGold

Last week Madeline Fuhrman's latest music video for her song 'Fragile' debuted on LoveGold.com and it has been sweeping the internet ever since! The video was done in collaboration with LoveGold and was directed by Madeline's sister, Actress/Director Isabelle Fuhrman. The video for the song, which is one of my new favorites, is entirely black and white with the amazing gold accessories being the only color that you see. This effect makes for a truly romantic and magical experience that blends with the song perfectly.

I was thrilled that I was able to be on set in L.A. at the legendary Chateau Marmont surrounded by so much talent and so much gold from Neil Lane and Platt Jewelry while the video was being filmed! It was so fun seeing all of the actors transform into people from the golden days of Hollywood. It felt like we traveled back in time.

We can't forget about the dapper gentlemen in the video. These oval vintage gold cufflinks from Neil Lane capture vintage Hollywood dandies perfectly.

I think my favorite pair of cufflinks on set were these vintage gold owl cufflinks from Neil Lane. You can only imagine what kind of fun loving guy would wear these to swanky Hollywood event.

There were fab men's rings on set and I wanted all of them. I am a sucker for amazing gold men's rings like this one from Neil Lane.

This vintage Neil Lane gold cuff went perfectly with this purse that actually belonged to the actress.

Madeline gets set up for the first shot of Day 2 and we also get to meet Jesse, who played the guy who wins Madeline's heart. Fun Fact: He was also in Madeline's video for 'Something Beautiful'.

Isabelle and Madeline had every little detail for the video taken care of. Even the note that the bellhop "Fred" gives Madeline involves gold!

Madeline had a blast the entire shoot dripping in vintage gold from Neil Lane and Platt Jewelry. She is the perfect fit for gorgeous gold!

There has always been this strange mirroring of Bruno Mars' style and my own. I have an affinity for big hair and pompadours and people would always tell me that my hair resembled his. I love bow ties and hats and he loves them too. Now Bruno and I share a love for gold accessories.

In the February 2013 issue of InStyle Magazine Bruno was photographed wearing gold accessories. As I was doing research for this post I noticed that he seems to love to wear the same gold pieces in various ways like most people who own gold pieces that they love. "...I've always had a thing for pawnshop gold..." Bruno told InStyle when asked about his wardrobe. He says that he loves gold that has a story and likes to wear pieces that you would see on a pirate like rings and pendants.

"Pawnshops are actually a secret among gold aficionados looking to get a good deal on unique pieces to add to a collection," says Lauren Kaminsky a.k.a ByGoldGirl, a third generation pawn broker in New York City. "Many reach out to me personally to find pieces for them and set up private appointments to avoid shopping in the 'pawn shop,' but reaping the benefits at the same time."

The fact that Bruno Mars loves pawn shop gold also mirrors my style aesthetic as I also love to look for fashion and accessories in places most people would not.

This look is super simple yet it looks so amazing! The gold really brings the outfit to another level. A button up shirt that is buttoned all the way is my favorite way to wear a gold necklace or chain like I did in L.A. during Oscar's week with a yellow gold chain from Aurora Lopez Mejia.

To help you gals out I have gathered some great hairstyles that incorporate gold to get you ready for fun spring brunches and sizzling summer nights out on the town!

Another fun way you can incorporate gold into your hair style for a casual day is by doing a half up look and using a gold comb or gold hair pin. The gold will always add a touch of fab.

If you are going for a bit of an edge for a evening event, gala or concert then you can go with something more fun and funky. A big trend right now is funky ear pieces and this gold one that attaches to a comb for your hair is a great way to be unique and stand out.

This gold Neil Lane piece that Kirsten Dunst wore to the 2012 Met Gala in NYC is the perfect way to shake up things on a hot night out!

If you need to look a little more refined and elegant there are certainly ways to do that and incorporate great gold pieces to your do. The way Salma Hayek work gold in her hair to the 2013 Oscars is a perfect way to add a dab of fierceness without going over the top.

Collegiate Gold: A Texas Tradition

Texas is the state where I was born and raised and like many people who live there claim, it is almost like its own country. There are so many quirky things that make Texas, Texas (The Alamo, bluebonnets, armadillos, Tejano music, two-stepping, country music, rodeos, Austin). The Lone Star State also has many traditions that date back generations. Personally, one of my favorite traditions involves gold!

I remember being in Jr. High School when I started hearing about my classmate's older siblings having high school and college rings. When it came to high school rings, it was only cool to wear them when you were in high school and about one or two years after you graduated. College rings on the other hand, at least in Texas, are acceptable to wear for life.

Most always made in gold, college rings in Texas are used to show pride, achievement and loyalty to your school. The Texas University that is most famous for their gold college ring tradition has to be Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Texas A&M students or "Aggies" as they called, have a ton of traditions that are just as important to them as their majors. The most visible tradition among seniors and former students is the wearing of the Aggie Ring, whose design has been relatively unchanged since the tradition started in 1894. Since I am not an Aggie myself I asked a few of my Aggie friends to tell me about their cherished gold Aggie rings and what it means to them.

OJ&B: Why did you choose gold for your Aggie Ring?

Brittany Price: I chose gold because that's the tradition. We work very hard to earn this ring and although it's now available in white gold, I chose traditional yellow gold because that's what the original ring was made of. That is the tradition. It shows that hard work pays off and it's a conversation piece that serves as an open invitation to all other Aggies. The ring is how we keep our Aggie family connected no matter the time or place.

OJ&B: Why did you choose gold for your Aggie Ring?

Katie Bowman: I chose gold because its more traditional and more my style. I wanted a gold Aggie Ring because of the tradition and everything it resembles as far as my accomplishments and hard work getting a college degree. I tend to like gold a lot more than other precious metals.

Texas A&M might be the University in Texas that has the richest history with their college rings but they are definitely not the only school that has them. My alma mater Texas State University also has beautiful gold rings. I was very excited to get a college ring for many of the same reasons Brittany and Katie stated regarding their Aggie Rings. In Texas people see the rings and know that you achieved something. It is a great icebreaker for people to talk to you as well as a wonderful networking tool. There are many stories of people going to job interviews and getting hired because the employer saw their college ring and found out the the candidate is an alumni of the same school.

When I moved to New York I wore my college ring all of the time (I still do). It is a little piece of home that I can wear everyday and that really puts a special touch to any outfit. The funny thing is that in NYC people love the ring but think I am wearing it as a fashion statement or cocktail ring if you will. When I tell them the story they are always intrigued and just like in the south it is a great icebreaker for people to talk start a conversation with me. My Texas State ring was an amazing purchase in 2009 especially since gold is so hot right now.

If you want to make a statement, there is nothing like a gold statement ring. It is even better when the ring has history and nothing holds history better than gold.

SXSW 2013: A Golden Experience

This past week I had the chance to go to SXSW with LoveGold to check out the scene and to do some serious gold jewelry spotting on their behalf. It was an amazing time. Like the picture says above, we were definitely in the "action zone."

While at the festival I would go up to people to ask them about their gold and I found that most people did not have a problem displaying their treasured pieces proudly. Everyone seemed to have a story about what the piece meant to them. They guy above told me that his Grandmother gave him this gold chain and pendant that is a Jewish symbol. He told me that it was very special to him and holds great meaning. I asked him why he felt his grandmother chose gold and he said that for him it just felt it was the metal of royalty. It seems that people choose gold as the metal of choice when gifting items to loved ones that can be passed down from generation to generation.

During the trip I was joined by Lauren Kaminsky who is a third generation pawn broker. She tells me that she wears gold everyday and that she feels naked with out it. She has a true passion for gold and would genuinely light up when she saw that others were wearing gold.

I was so excited that I got to catch some screenings while I was at SXSW. I went to the premiere of the film Short Term 12 starring Brie Larson and John Gallagher Jr. The movie was amazing and Brie and the entire cast did an amazing job. Another great thing about the premiere is that Brie Larson and her costar Kaitlyn Dever were both wearing gold! They were also wearing the same designer which they told me they did not plan.

I have always felt that gold was a warm and inviting metal and it seems that it brings out that side in people that I have talked to about their pieces. It is a metal that means something which is why I think people are making a big return to gold. People seem to want things that are not just things but that have a meaning and can be passed down.

Madeline Fuhrman's video for her song, 'Something Beautiful,' just debuted on NylonMag.com and it is major! Her voice is so unique and has a rich quality that makes you want to hear more! The video was directed by her sister, actress Isabelle Fuhrman.

I had a chance to meet Madeline and Isabelle at the LoveGold house in Los Angeles and they both have the most amazing energy. The best part was that I got to hear Madeline perform 'Something Beautiful' a few times and I can say that this girl can sing live and it is amazing (she also plays the piano)!

Congrats Madeline on the new song and video! I am already obsessed with the crazy good lyrics and it is one of my first fave songs of 2013. Check it out guys and gals and don't forget to pass it around.

Fashion Week Trend Alert: Gold Is Having A Moment

Fabric blocking, leather, bold prints and patterns are all trends that I am seeing on the runways at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and off site at New York Fashion Week for Fall 2013. I have loved the Fall 2013 season so far and as I am spotting trends I can’t help but notice that one thing keeps catching my eye, gold!

Gold is totally having a moment right now. We have seen it start to pop up in the past but now there is no denying that gold is a must for Fall 13. Let’s take a look at some golden moments from this fashion week.
Barbara Tfank has dressed the likes of Flotus A.K.A the First Lady of The United States Michelle Obama as well as Grammy winner slash singing sensation Adele. It is safe to say that Tfank knows about class and for Fall 2013 she chose to showcase 18K to 24K Gold Accessories from Coomi, Hilat, and Yossi Harari. Her pieces really brought out the gold and together the collection made a bold statement.

It just would not be fashion week without Diane Von Furstenburg. This season DVF was inspired by glam rock and you simply cannot do glam rock without gold! Her runway looks were accompanied by amazing gold accessories including chain link gold bracelets. Even DVF was wearing a substantial gold cuff for her walk at the end of the show.

I said it once and I will say it again; ear cuffs are going to be a mega huge trend! Thakoon Panichgul topped off his Fall 2013 pieces with ear cuffs. The ear cuffs are designed in yellow gold with yellow sapphire, hauynite and alexandrite, and white gold with freshwater pearls, diamonds and grey diamonds. The gorgeous pieces are a result of Thakoon’s collaboration with Tasaki and are Tasaki by Thakoon earrings.

All of these gold looks by these fab designers all prove that you can simply not go wrong when you go for the gold!

Nicolas K Fall 2013 At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Brother and sister team, Nicholas and Christopher Kunz, brought the quintessential Nicolas K look to the tents opening Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with the first designer show of the season. We expected “moody cool” and we got it. The trademark muted stormy seas palette of blues, purples, grays and tans were present in the clothing, but also traveled to the makeup, a charcoal smoky eye, and nails, a charcoal grey and slate blue French manicure. Hair was right on trend slicked back with wavy cascades down the back.

For a while now, we have been seeing drape jackets with little to no detailing - it’s all about the undulating folds and eye catching fabric combinations. Nicolas K puts their own stamp on this trend with jackets that seem less likely to end up in your “Oh So Pretty” Pin Board, but maybe in “To Cool for School.” Leather detailing on jackets, sweaters, closures and belts were eye catching in a sea of flowing layers.

A grown up comfort was also evident in the snazzy sweats presented for both men and women in various colors and silhouettes. Sweater sleeves designed to stretch past your wrist - complete with thumb hole for texting and other secondary pursuits, like eating – were paired with hooded sweatshirts and structured sweatpants.

A bit of a post-apocalyptic vibe permeated throughout the collection, most likely informed by the designers inspiration intrepid Arctic explorations during the late 19th century, topped off by the jewelry, which in most cases was a weather worn stone hanging from a chain – could double as a weapon just in case.

Gold Hunt: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will officially start showing designer’s Fall/Winter 2013 collections today. For 5 seasons I have been official press at fashion week taking in all of the hottest trends on and off the runway. Besides shoes, I usually focused on the clothes and not the accessories. This season that is all going to change as I am going to be on the lookout for what I think will be the hottest trend in accessories for 2013 and 2014: GOLD!

Before I walk into the potential “gold mine” of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion week tents, I wanted to take a look at some seriously fierce gold collaborations and moments that have happened in the past. Take a look at some of my favorite golden moments:

DVF for H.Stern:

I love Diane von Furstenburg and I love H. Stern jewelry! When the fashion powerhouse collaborated with H.Stern it was as match made in heaven for me. Who doesn’t love an amazing statement cocktail ring that you can wear with almost anything, like this 18K brushed yellow gold ring, or chic 18K yellow gold earrings that will compliment any evening look and upgrade all of your daywear?

Jason Wu for BRVTVS:

Designer Jason Wu worked with BRVTVS to create gold ear cuffs for his Spring 2013 collection. This is going to be a huge trend and girls seem to be returning to playing with multiple ear piercings and fun and flirty ways to adorn their ears with opulence.

Ralph Lauren:

Many people know Ralph Lauren as a great American sportswear brand that makes perfect clothes for summering in the Hamptons or the Cape. They may not realize however that Ralph Lauren also has a gorgeous fine jewelry collection. With 90’s fashion back in full affect, gold chains are a huge trend. I am obsessed with this 18K gold chain necklace from Ralph Lauren because it offers a chic way to wear gold chains without looking like MR. T at a cocktail party. There is no reason to fear bold gold with pieces like this available for the taking!

Dior:

Who does not J’adore Dior (said like Charlize Theron in the fierce Dior fragrance ad)? I am all about a glam Dior outfit and the same goes for their fine jewelry line. Again, some people may not know that the design house also makes amazing 18K fine gold jewelry. When you combine a Dior gold statement cuff with your outfit there is really no way you can go wrong.

"@NickiMinaj you a stupppppiddddd hoe #stupittttstupitttt." That is the tweet that Miley "Destiney Hope" Cyrus tweeted with the above photo on Halloween night during her annual Halloween party that was on super lock down.

Page Six reports that Miley's recent Party in the U.S.A. had a super tight guest list with no cell phones allowed and one insider reported that "all guest had to sign a confidentiality agreement." YIKES! I guess if I had b-day party with a Bob Marley cake where I spoke of weed, along with that other party she threw that resulted in leaked videos from her "friends" of her smoking weed, I would make people sign an agreement too.

Despite the lock down and confidentiality agreements, It was leaked (surprised?) that Miley was apparently dancing like crazy on the stage and that guests included her fiance Liam Hemsworth that was dressed in a unicorn costume and Zac Efron dressed as a "Brokeback Mountain" cowboy with actor Ryan Rottman.

Wait... Liam was a unicorn and Zefron was a gay cowboy with some random ass D list actor... OH EM GEE!
