These two pieces of custom wall decor were two of my very favorites. Few newlyweds could help but be smitten by either one.

First, artwork that captures your unique fingerprints, set side by side for all time. Nashville artist Lori Danelle carves each print by hand before adding names, a date and a heart. Frame is optional, as they also show it mounted on plywood for a more rustic look; $500-$650.

Next up, celebrate a love that crossed state lines to finally unite in wedded bliss. Artist Sandrine Froehle memorializes your old stomping grounds with your two home states joined as one, complete with your names and date; $160-$180. I warned you… very irresistible!

Custom-made to fit, the gown and its spring flowers are equally stunning from the front and the back.

For a more formal wedding, this could even be lovely on your bridesmaids.

Personally, I see a bride stepping from a forest into the sunlight or walking down the aisle in a wildflower meadow.

If only the designer would include a photo of a bride wearing it…

She chose Royal Tettau cups and saucers from Germany, Cauldon dinner plates from England and three different dessert plates for the middle tier, a mix from England & France.

I really love the concept, something I hadn’t considered before but one that is definitely possible when multiple pieces of vintage china are available. I hope she sends photos of the entire set up… I can only imagine what she is planning!

In the meantime, I wanted to share these sweet & soooo affordable white lace containers from IKEA. Would you believe they are just $2.99 each? Meant as a home for potted plants, I found they work equally well to cast a romantic, flickering glow as a sturdy lumineria. Just add a votive candle in a glass holder and there you are. Made of powder-coated galvanized steel, they have countless DIY wedding decor uses. Bundles of silverware, bottles of wine, piles of cookies tucked inside pretty linens–these could showcase just about anything smaller than a breadbox. Create a plants-&-candles centerpiece with just a few. Now you have something for your weekend to-do list to go along with celebrating: pop into IKEA & stock up!

But darn it, there must be some occasion for which I could wear this delicious vintage dress! (A good excuse to buy a new crinoline, too.)

Before they decide to stop making them. Which often happens when you have your heart set on a certain something but drag your feet in purchasing it. (That’s what we get for being practical, right?)

Sometimes you don’t know you need something until you see it. For me, this is like a daily thing! I’m sure most brides (okay, women in general…) can relate. Today, these custom monogrammed table linens in natural burlap leapt off the screen and onto my Want List. Rustic weddings are still way in, and these beauties would add a finished touch to all that shabby chic charm. My second thought,  given the time of year, was: “Wow! Imagine this going around and around a love-themed Christmas tree!”

We have a white Christmas tree for the bedroom & I instantly had grand visions of covering it with red, white & silver ornaments, tinsel, garland, paper hearts & this rustic, linen fabric ribbon, ordering several with different personalized messages of adoration. I couldn’t decide if the end result would look highly romantic (should I go Modern Love or Victorian Love?) or like a kindergarten holiday class project gone wrong.
