We will be expecting some downtime in your servers during the 28, 29 an 30 of this month (December).

This downtime is due to some changes in our servers.

Server Problems

In the last couple of weeks we add several server break downs. We are trying to address the problem as fast as possible.

Yesterday we were able to correct a major problem in the server, a problem that was crashing the server constantly. We hope that for now on the server we become more stable.

Because this server has been given us so much problems, we are planing a change of server. When this change is done we will notify you here on the blog. Just for you notice, we will be changing your server from linux to window, so the game core can be more stable.

In the name of all the team, we have to apologize for this problems and hope that we can fix them as soon as possible.

FIL – XL Party result

Were 3 days enjoying and knowing new people, new contacts and new ideas for the game. The result were pretty good, some hundreds of new players, and a good feedback from them after playing for a couple of minutes. I leave here 2 photos from the event.

Orion’s Belt team will be present at the XL Party, at FIL. We’re there today and we also will be next Saturday and Sunday. So, if you visit the expo, don’t forget to drop by our stand, talk to us and get some free orion cards.

Orion’s Belt Downtime

Has you all have noticed, Orion’s Belt has been down until about 12:30 GMT.

There was a major Powersurge in the area where we have our serves. This caused some instability and the crash of all our servers..

Although it was not our direct fault, we are obliged to apologize to all the players for this downtime.

Changing Alliances

Several reports have been sent saying that players are constantly leaving their alliances and joining their “sister” ones.

Well, i have been watching the lounge for some time and in fact this is happening. And, of course, this isn’t right…

So to dissuade this measure, we are going to add a one week cooldown when you leave/join an alliance.

You, like in any other game, should have one and only one alliance. You should be jumping from one alliance to other almost every day.

Orion’s Belt on the Playstation Magazine – Portugal

Fleet Immunity: Conclusion

I’ve been talking with several players after the previous post.

The problems we would arrange in the universe for changing a so important rule would be enormous. I know that this is a unfair rule, but it will be unfair until the end. There is no point of changing it after so many months of playing and with the players so used to it.

So the game will stay as it is. BUT, in the new servers, we will have immunity in the fleets.

New Update

Today a new Update was made featuring a new design in several sections and several bug corrections.

You will notice new design in the Alliance, Quest and Tournament Section. Also the Renegate Units are darker We changed the color scheme of all Renegate Units To a Black/White/Red Scheme. Also in the Unit Construction you will notive a change in tge units view.

There are still an unresolved bug with the vacations that we are correction as we speak.

If you notice any problem (design or functional) please report so we can correct it asap
