The software export is increasing and there are signs of recovering. Indian IT sector was one of the worse affected sectors due to the global financial crisis. Nasscom has projected a mere 4-7% export growth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The recovery from the patches of the global downturn is a good sign for the students and job aspirants. The positive side of this that there may the more job opportunities by the next year. The IT majors may go for hiring candidates and it is expected as the marker is back on track again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a sign of recovering from the global downturn and major IT companies in India may go for fresh recruitment next year. There is rise in IT spending this year and it would increase more by next year. In the state farmers are affected badly due to the crop damage. Even in some parts crops damaged due to less rainfall and pest attack.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The state government will provide assistance of  Rs 4000 to the farmers per hectare for  irrigated land and Rs 2,000 for non-irrigated land. The financial assistance by the state government would give relief to the drought-hit farmers in the state.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The year is most tough time for the farmers across the nation. And the situation of farmers in Orissa is worse due to the crop damage. Many farmers in the western Orissa staged demonstration over many issues including death of farmers and crop damage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Considering the farmers situation, the state govt had set up on fact finding team. In order to have a good approach over the Vision 20-20, Orissa state government has set up a task force.  The formation of task  force on higher education policy was welcomed in the state.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The task force will submit its report on the higher education policy in three months. Many task forces on education were set up the state government.  It is expected that the recommendations of the task force will be taken for practical implementation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Trilochan Pradhan, the eminent scientist and former director of Institute of Physics, will head the task force. Now the question arises in mind, whether the government will eye to have a special policy over the distance education and online education in India.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The distance education is given priority in most of the countries and back in India it has less importance comparing the regular education system. However, the time has been changing in India too, the distance education for degree is now being considered  as valid. Earlier, it was a difficult task for students to have validate their distance education degree.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Due to the poor infrastructure the dream of having better online education system is possible in India. Bus owners were on strike from October 4th and four-days long strike by the private bus operators affected the state most.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The state government had tried hard to control the strike, even some bus owners were reportedly arrested following the strike. The spokesman of All Orissa Bus Owners’ Association - Debasis Naya intimated the  media reports in the capital that the association members had agreed to end the strike. The passengers were suffered a lot due to the strike in the state, however the operation of government vehicles and three-wheeler gave some respite.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Finally, the strike against hiked toll fees on national highways, by the bus owners ended in the Orissa. Clears Five Industrial Projects worth Rs 2037 cr</title><content type="html">&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The state government has cleared five mega industrial investment projects worth Rs Rs 2037 crore.  The Chief Secretary, Ajit Tripathy chaired a meeting of single window committee in the capital on Thursday. The committee has  cleared the five investment proposals - Bhubaneswar Power Ltd, Dhananjay Industries, Hindalco’s Aluminium Rolling Plant, Rashmi Cement Ltd and Kaushal Ferro Manganese.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Accoriding to media reports, Hindalco’s industries to invest around Rs 850 crores to set up Aluminium Rolling plant in Hirakud. The proposed plan would generate employment opportunities  to around 250 people and will have production capacity of 2.85 lakh metric tonnes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Rashmi Cement to invest Rs 300 crore to set up plant at Haridaspur and the jobs can be provided to around 240 people. Dhananjay industries and Kaushal industries will invest around Rs.180 crores and Rs.82 crore, respectively. The matric examination results are also available  the websits - http://www.bseorissa.in/ and http://orissaresults.nic.in/. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;In the state around three lakh students had appeared the matric examination and 2,11, 846 students have passed the matric examination. The pass percentage in the state is 63.41 per cent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;As per the result declared by the BSE, 43,399 students have secured first division, 71,942 secured second division and 96,376 students passed in third division. In the state, Dhenkanal - has the highest pass percentage of 80.12 per cent, while the Kandhamal has recorded the lowest pass percentage of 43.51 per cent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;This time the BSE has published a list top 100 students of matric examination. The eight bio mass power projects would be set up in Dhenkanal, Puri, Ganjam, Khurda, Raygada and Nawarangpur districts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;This time the summer is a tough time for the government and people of the Orissa state. The power cuts in the state is inevitable, but the cuts have impact on the industrial production. Delay in the monsoon in the state has affected the hydro power generation in the state. The cost of power supply to industries is very less  comparing to other states like in Gujarat. But the interruption the supply to industries will be a great challenge for the state government to dealt with. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The government of Orissa has been considering the shortage of power at the hydro power projects as matter of concerns for the state. The Bench comprising Justices BP Ray and BP Das asked the commission to completed entire process of with in three months. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;OPSC will have to conduct re-examination of all 4,560 students as per the court directive. The OAS (Main) examination held in 2008 and around 3,730 students had appeared. There was controversy over the number of qualifiers of preliminary examination. Under the project, students can file their application for admission through online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Higher Education Secretary, Madhusudhan Padhi told media that under SAMS - 51 government colleges and nine aided colleges made online for the admission for 30,644 seats. This is a pilot project and would be implemented in the other colleges in phases.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In order to apply online for the admission students can get the Common Application Form (CAF) and Common Prospectus (CS) from the website 'www.dheorissa.in''. The CAF and CF will be available at college counters from June 16, students can get those by paying Rs 20 and Rs 10.  Students can file their application from June 16 to June 30.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Using the CAF students can opt several streams and colleges with a cost. They need to pay Rs 50 each for first five options, Rs 75 each for next four options,  Rs 100 for each four options and Rs 200 each for beyond 14 colleges and streams.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The online admission or e-admission would be easier for students to apply in various colleges and streams through only one CAF. The fund would be utilized to monitor and check any terrorists infiltrations thought coastal belt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The World Bank has planned to fund Rs 140 crore for the implementation of ICZM project across 482 km of coastal area.  Alongwith Orissa the other states - West Bengal and Gujarat are also the beneficiaries under this project.   The Chilika Development Authority has been the nodal agency for preparing ICZM and the work will begin after getting complete approval from the World Bank.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;The project will help the state to strengthen  its security and can also monitor the climate change in the state. The people of the coastal areas of these state would be more relax to have this project. It is noteworthy that the schools authorities have issued notice over the fees hike despite the matter is sub judice. Considering this act as contempt, the High Court issued contempt notice to Mohanty for issuing notice over the fees hike. &lt;/span&gt;In the state, parents have express their resentment over the fees hike by school authorities. The hike in the fees by the DAV School was challenged by parents at High Court.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;On March 27, the state government has allowed the private schools to increase the fee structure provisionally up by 25 per. But would be applicable to the private schools are paying 5th Pay Commission scales and were to implement the 6th Pay Commission award to their staff. Orissa Sponge Iron and Steel has informed media that the Bhushan steel has acquired 0.39 of equity  (1,03,996 shares) at a price of Rs 332.7 a piece.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Following the deal, there was a rise in the value of shares of Orissa Sponge  in the stock market on Wednesday. The MoU will help students in getting better education and research in various faculties.
