Today, Jennifer Martinez, our transaction coordinator, is here to explain what it is she does here at Premium Properties!  Jennifer has been with us since 1999, and has been a transaction coordinator for a little over 10 years now. The role of a transaction coordinator is to eliminate work for the agents. The agent will give a file of a contract to Jennifer, who will then handle some of the details of making sure the contract goes to closing. This frees up time for the agent to get more deals going. Jennifer is responsible for scheduling inspections, following up with escrow, keeping deadlines on track, and continuing communication between both parties in a transaction in order to ensure the deal goes through. We started having a full-time transaction coordinator since 2005, when the market was incredibly busy, and we've had one ever since!  We found that many of our agents were in need of an assistant because they had so much work to do. Instead of bringing on numerous assistants, Jennifer stepped up and took the load off our agents by helping them with some of the details of the transaction process. There are so many components to a real estate transaction that learning how to take a file from contract to closing is a difficult thing to do.
