APARTMENT “BELLAVISTA” - “CASA DEGLI ARCHI”

“Casa degli Archi”, a characteristic ancient palace, is set right in the centre of Orta San Giulio on Via Bersani, one of the most typical streets (closed to traffic) of this town. Strolling along it you can enjoy the sight of many interesting medieval buildings, the most remarkable of which is the “Towerhouse” with its architectonic element dating back to 1306.

This building is just a few steps away from the lakeshore is very close the main square, Piazza Motta, nicknamed the “drawing-room” of Orta; the square is lined on three sides by old houses built over wide porticoes which shelter little shops and cafés. The fourth side overlooks the lake, offering a panoramic view of the island of San Giulio. Boats leave from here for visits to the island and other villages around the lake.

This romantic apartment (100 m²), located on a quiet and sunny spot, is on the top floor of the building (a lift in a XIV Century house would be out of place!), which was restored to an apartment complex. Tastefully furnished and made unique by the refined “mansard style” roof this flat conveys a feeling of warmth and romance.

APARTMENT “FAMILY” - “CASA AL LAGO”

The “Casa al Lago”, a typical ancient building dating back to the XVIII Century is situated right in the historical center of Orta San Giulio; it overlooks Via Olina, the main street of this pretty town, and is surrounded by ancient and noble mansions, where visitors can enjoy the sight of beautiful ironworks, one of the most ancient crafts widely practised in this area.
The main entrance to the house is on Vicolo Olina, a pedestrian lane leading directly to the lakeside.
The building is just a few steps away from the picturesque Piazza Motta, nicknamed the “drawing room” with its bars and restaurants overlooking the wharf and featuring panoramic terraces from which the visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the magic Isle of San Giulio.
During your stay in this town of rare beauty the total absence of cars, the murmur of the waves lapping on the shore and the majestic ancient scenery will take you back in time and make you feel as if breathing a sort of Venetian atmosphere...

The 65 sq.m. comfortable and pleasing apartment, situated on the first floor, was tastefully restored preserving the original architectonic style.

“DOLCENOTTE” Room

The delicious double room with bathroom/shower and balcony with table and chairs finds itself inside an elegant building, on the first floor,  from the 13th Century “Palazzo delle Rose” which overlooks directly the main square of Orta, it is therefore central but very quiet.

It has a surface o 20 sqm. and was recently restored giving the room a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

“Nature and tranquillity for a great vacation”

A lovely, functional and comfortable vacation home, built only a few years ago, Cas’Allegra is located in Orta-Legro, a small outlying hamlet at about 1,5 Km away from the main town of Orta San Giulio, a lake resort indicated on the tourist guides as one of the 85 Italian towns member of the “Association of Painted Villages”. On the walls of the buildings one can admire the most significant photograms signed by Italian and foreign artists showing the numerous films set along the shores of the Lake of Orta, within a very special open air “Museum of the Cinema”.

The house is situated at about 150 m. from the original main square, where the local granite stone and the beautiful iron works blend perfectly in with the ancient lavatory and the little church dating back to the ‘700, built on a lovely and quiet space exposed to the sun all day long.
