The Founder and head of Google News, Krishna Bharat spoke with David Nordfors, Founding Executive Director of the Stanford Center for Innovation and Communication at Stanford University, at the opening keynote session of IJ-7, the Seventh Conference on Innovation Journalism, at Stanford on June 9, 2010.

I think there is no doubt about the fact that Google news did change the professional journalism.

Is it already a fact that the only company that will make money with news in future is Google?

Is there any business model that will allow Newspaper publishers to make money with there online magazines and news portals in future?

Google News, what comes next and how will it influence the future of professional journalism?

Maybe this was some questions that the Audience of the opening keynote session of IJ-7, the Seventh Conference on Innovation Journalism, at Stanford on June 9, 2010 had in mind when they listened to the speech of Krishna Bharat, the founder of Google News.

I am sure there is not one SEO out there who did SEO for years who made no SEO mistakes, we all do and as we all learn best from mistakes, why not speak about? Google MayDay Update 2010

Mayday Google Update -- May 1st 2010 -- will this day be remembered as the day when the long tail died?

I don’t think so, but for sure web directories and online shop owners did notice the effects of Google’s so-called “May Day Update”. Around April 27th to May 5th a lot of sites noticed a loss of 5-25% of their normal long tail traffic.

Why did websites which are Long tail SEO optimized lose their long tail search referrals?

Did Google reduce the size and depth of the primary index to keep Caffeine fast?
Was there broad link devaluations?
Was there a shift in how phrase match is performed?
Did Google increase the value of authority/brand sites?

What ever has happened, stay cool! Don’t Panic! There is one very important role in SEO, don’t act in panic, don not change anything on your website before you exact know what has happened and why otherwise you will maybe make thinks more worse than they already are.

The Facebook Like Button

Pay attention to the new “Like” Button on Facebook.

On the f8 conference in San Francisco Facebook has shown off a major new Facebook feature, the “Facebook Like button” that can be embedded on websites and allow users to share content they like from the internet with their social networks.

Facebook has replaced the “become a fan” terminology with a “Like” button, what I think is a very impotent change. These become a fan thing always felt a bit strange, I am maybe be a Bruce Springsteen fan but I am not interest to get a fan of different brands or even just simple websites. To like a brand or a simple website more fits and it becomes more easy to just click this button if it’s named “Like” than it is labelled “become a fan”.

To introduce users to the ‘Like’ button, Facebook has posted an alert that appears on users’ Facebook pages and directs them to a FAQ section with information about the new feature.

Body paint or sometimes bodypainting is an art from that stretches back thousands of years.

One of the best body painters in our days is for sure Craig Tracy an American artist, from New Orleans, a trendsetter in the art of body-painting.

Craig Tracy paints stunning images on people’s bodies before photographing them in unique poses.

In a particular project that is part of Save China’s Tigers, Craig Tracy did an amazing Body paint picture of a tiger, I have never seen a better body paint.

The body paint picture is named “The Last South China Tiger”.

At first glance, this piece looks like a simple painting of a tiger. Look a little closer, and you’ll notice that the tiger’s face is actually painted on the back of three women.
