Common Surgeries and Price Comparison Web Tool

Common Surgeries and Price Comparison is a new Web tool allowing healthcare consumers to view and compare the price of 28 common elective inpatient procedures at hospitals across California.

2020 Seismic Safety Extension (SB306) general information page plus a summary of requests is available for viewing.

The 2020 Seismic Safety Extension allows acute care hospitals that meet strict financial hardship criteria to receive a seven year extension from the 2013 seismic safety deadlines and instead require the hospitals to replace those buildings by January 1, 2020.

OSHPD publishes the latest issue of the Hospital Seismic Safety Bulletin.

This Seismic Safety Bulletin shares the latest news on OSHPD's partnership with California's general acute care hospitals working to meet seismic safety deadlines. OSHPD has posted the Healthcare Workforce Diversity Advisory Council Final Report and Fact Sheet.

In 2007, the Administration, with the assistance of a grant from The California Wellness Foundation, convened the Healthcare Workforce Diversity Advisory Council (Council) housed within the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (Office) and chaired by the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California (LCHC). The Council was charged with developing recommendations to address California's health professional shortages, especially among underrepresented groups. Public input from key stakeholders gathered through regional hearings guided the Council in identifying and prioritizing recommendations and developing the final report and fact sheet.
