FUMCa Bowl and Super Bowl Sunday

Join us this weekend for some great stuff!
Saturday we will meet at the high school practice field at 1 pm for The Touch Football Game of the Year! Make sure you dress for the weather because we will play come rain, sleet, snow or sunshine.
Sunday night “ 5:05 @ 805” starts with a church-wide meal in the Christian Life Center. After we eat, we will head over to the Youth Center to watch the Super Bowl. This event is open to anyone so invite a friend or bring your whole family. You will need to bring your favorite snack and enough to share!

Survivor Schlitterbahn Trip

7th-12th grade: Cost 40.00 ( Blue team goes free)
Get signup sheets at Sunday School or Wednesday night MYF.
Deadline for signup is Feb 20th. Everyone that is going needs to fill out form, even the Blue Team) as soon as possible. The cost includes admission, basic meal band and dinner on the way home. You will need to bring extra money for souvenirs.

The winning team and individual winners will be announced this Wednesday. We have a pictures to show, games to play and food to eat! Invite friends. FUMC youth is THE place to be on Wednesday nights. Signups for the Survivor Schlitterbahn trip will begin in a few months. Cost will be $40.00 plus money for dinner on your way back. Remember the winning team members go FREE.

Great time of fellowship and worship. 66 youth and 30 adults participated this Wednesday. Wilson Vier and the blue team were victorious in the project competition. Nisha George and the green team are breathing down their necks. It is anybody's game to win. Remember to be disciples and invite guests. Have a great week.

Soul Survivor- Awesome 1st night- 65 youth 30 adults.
Congratulations to BJ Wafer and the Blanco Broncos for taking an early lead.
Project 1: Decorate a car in a jungle or pirate theme. Car should be decorated by Wednesday Sept 7th prior to 6P and be ready for judging while you are eating. Points are given for Creativity, Team Member Participation and Biblical Reference. Post any question here or ask your team mentor.
Every team who completes a project gets 5000 points.
The winning team gets another 5000 points.

Remember: Matthew 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Reminder- Tonight is the night you get to give your opinion in what YOU want to see in a youth program for our church. Your opinion counts- unless you don't come and give it. Meetings will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

Youth (6th grade and up)- Meet @ 530PM
Youth Parents - Meet @ 630PM
Elementary School Parents- Meet @ 730P
Other Interested Church Members- Meet @ 830P

Adult Volunteers helping with the Big Kick off and Soul Survivor Series will have a short meeting in the Youth and Worship Center @ 530P. We will get through in time for you to attend the 630P parent meeting.

There will be a short volunteer meeting on August 23rd @ 530P in the Youth and Worship Center for all adult volunteers helping with the Big Kick-Off on Aug 24th and the Soul Survivor Competition beginning Aug 31st. I will explain the Survivor competition and the roles the adults will have. It is not too late to volunteer to help. Come to the meeting if interested.

We will be completed in time for you to attend the Youth Parent meeting with Eric McFarland in the Fellowship Hall.

We have a LOT of upcoming events this summer and we want you to spread the word about them. Here are some of our upcoming events.

SOS: We will have S.O.S. every tuesday, wednesday, and thursday in July. Meet by the van at 9 am.
MYF: Wednesday July 13th at 8:30pm will be our 1st outside movie at twopoint. Meet at the sunrise stage.
Faith and Family: July 16 Astros Fun Day and David Crowder Concert-Tickets $37 each. Give check or cash to Valerie @ church office. Only have 24 tickets left. Get Yours Today!
Lake Trip: July 21- high School Youth- Trip to Lake Jackson at the Haney lake house. We will leave church in the AM and return in the PM! Contact Steve or Joy Killam for more info!
SIX FLAGS- July 22- 23 High School Youth will be taking a trip to Six Flags- $75. Get signup forms @ Sunday school this Sunday. Deadline for signup is July 14th. Sign Up Now!

WE’LL LOAD IT ALL IN CHRIS'S STOCK TRAILER FOR THE TRIP DOWN ON SUNDAY. WE’LL LOAD ALL OF OUR TOOLS ON THE TOOL TRAILER AS WELL.
